Your Neighborhood

Butler Street is filled with cute shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. There are several coffee shops around. Right across Butler St. is Convive Coffee, to the left is Inkwell Coffee, and if you go to the right you will run into Espresso A Mano (37th St.). You will also see an Empanada bakery right across Butler and a terrific French bakery - La Gourmandine - to the left. (46th St.) And, if you like bowling, the Arsenal Bowling Alley is a wonderful retro spot with a bar and music at night. You'll feel like the Dude, only cooler. Lawrenceville Restaurants: Geppetto’s Cafe (Breakfast/Brunch) Bahn Mi and Ti (Bahn mi’s and boba tea) Driftwood Oven (Wood fired Pizza, and other things) Smoke (BBQ Tacos) Frio Creamery (Ice Cream from the Penn State Creamery) Primanti Brothers (A Pittsburgh Original with fries and cole slaw on the sandwich. Actually, in the Strip District on 18th St.) Lawrenceville Bars: Over Eden (rooftop of the Tryp Hotel) 11th Hour Brewery Hop Farm Brewery The Abbey (Try their Curry Pub Fries) The Church Brew Works Grapperia (Specializing in cocktails made with Grappa)

Run/Bike/Walk Trail

You will find this paved trail a mile from the home - right over the 40th Street bridge (at the end of the bridge turn right and then right again). In a few miles it will take you to the North Shore. Nice views of the river and access to the Warhol Museum, PNC Park, Heinz Field, and the Casino. But it goes on longer than that. I think you can get to Washington, DC, actually, but I have never tried that.
