City advice

Ways to save

Grocery shopping

The Langley Farm Market at 22621 Lougheed Highway has a large variety of fresh fruit and vegetables at very reasonable prices. The nearby Bruce’s Country Market is much closer, but more expensive, and the produce is not as fresh.
Getting around

Train to downtown Vancouver

The West Coast Express is a comfortable commuter train that takes you from Port Haney station in Maple Ridge to the Vancouver Waterfront. The stretch along the shore offers beautiful views of the Burrard Inlet and the mountains of North Vancouver. There are even desks and power outlets for your laptop. The train departs Port Haney station on weekday mornings (5:44, 6:44, and 7:44 am) and departs Vancouver Waterfront Station on weekday afternoons at 3:50, 4:50, and 6:20 pm. There are bus connections between 102 Ave (2 min walk from our house) to Port Haney Station.
