If you are in town over the Christmas holidays, you must check out Interlochen Holiday lights. Arlington's largest and longest running neighborhood lights display. Admission is free. Lines do get long on weekends and close to Christmas, so go early if you want to beat the crowds.

Bowman Springs Park is just a few miles down the road from where you are staying, on Lake Arlington. Fun place to go for a walk, picnic/grilling, or to feed the ducks. There is a fishing pier located at the park as well.
