My favourite local independent brewpub, right in the neighbourhood! If you walk to Citizen, you’ll briefly feel like you’re walking up to an industrial park – don’t worry, you’re in the right place. Once you see it (a little oasis set back from the road a bit), you’ll be glad you went. They’ve got a gorgeous patio, a good beer selection (of course) with rotating seasonal taps, and a great menu too (burgers, mac and cheese, hot chicken, and more). Sometimes they even have kombucha on tap. You can also get beer to go!

27 km in total, Nose Creek Pathway actually runs from Nose Creek Park in the north (near the airport), past the Telus Spark Science Centre, and all the way south to the Calgary Zoo. It’s a dedicated walking and biking trail that follows Nose Creek down to the Bow River. The best nearby access point is north off 36 Ave NE – from there, follow the trail south through the golf courses (and beyond…)
