Take a Hike

Approximately 5 miles from our front door, A Bronson Canyon hike is a great activity to share with kids, or kids at heart. At its base is a playground and picnic area and on the hike you will find lots of recognizable movie locations and even Batman’s Cave from the 1960’s Batman TV series! If you're up for a more challenging hike, you can continue on the Hollyridge trail and get pretty close to the Hollywood sign. https://modernhiker.com/hike/bronson-caves/

Approximately 5 miles from our front door, West Trail Loop is another easy kid-friendly hike that incorporates views of the city, the Griffith Park Observatory, and the Hollywood sign. You start off in a playground with a great little cafe lunch spot called The Trails Cafe and then head out for a 1-mile hike. https://modernhiker.com/hike/hike-the-west-griffith-observatory-trail/

Approximately 5 miles from our front door, Brush Canyon Trail is peaceful and quiet and full of great views of Los Angeles. This is supposed to be the hike to go on to get a great view of the back of the Hollywood sign. https://lavendervines.com/hike-hollywood-sign-brush-canyon-trail/

Take a walk along the shore in Santa Monica any time of year. If it's chilly, bring a blanket and a thermos of something steamy to sip as you sit in the sand and enjoy the calming cleansing energy of the ocean.

This spot has been around since 1975. I've been going since 1993. My favorites are the apple-lemon-ginger juice and the banana mana shakes. http://www.beverlyhillsjuice.com/menu.html

Pick up your macrobiotic meal and bring it back to the loft to enjoy in the outdoor living room. Don't know what macrobiotic food is? Me either. I just know its tasty and its been all the rage with the Hollywood elite for a while.
