City advice

Getting around

The best way to get around is by renting a car.

If you wont rent a car, I recommend Uber. Take in consideration that you CANT take ubers FROM the airport. My advice is to ask the $ to taxis and if is too much (more than $80) I suggest you take a taxi to a near restaurant and take an Uber from there (make sure you compare prices in the uber app). Also, I can arrange pick up plans, if you decide you want me to find you a ride please let me know at least 3 days before.
Book before you go

Culebra’s ferry ticket

Getting to Culebra is not easy in high seasons. The easiest way is to book a tour that includes the tickets. If you plan to go in spring break or any other holiday, make sure you arrive early enough. For Vieques is easier
Ways to save

Plan your places to go ahead of time

Renting a car is cheaper than paying taxis and ubers. El Yunque National Forest is FREE (you MUST go). Ferries for Culebra and Vieques are cheap ~ 15 roundtrip (airplane tickets to those islands are >$50). If you want to go to Palomino or Icacos, there are catamarans that include food and beverages usually ~80$ per person but you sometimes can find them half the price at gustazos.com and ofertasdeldia.com. If you want to go grocery shopping, the cheapest place to go is Amigo(same as Walmart).
