Situated on the Chattahoochee River, this is an upscale steak and seafood restaurant. Thu-Sat evenings they have live music in their lounge. I've been more frequently for the music. No cover charge but the price of drinks cover it :-) You can also walk outside along the river.

It is a preserved National Historic site - a Civil War battleground. The period of the Atlanta Campaign during the Civil War marked the beginning of the end for the Confederates. There are great walking trails and it is free. On clear days, downtown Atlanta and Stone Mountain are visible. It's very popular weekends.

There are interesting talks/lectures given here as well as tours of the old Swan House, Tullie Smith Farm, Wood Family Cabin. All on 33 acres. It holds one of the largest collections of Civil War artifacts in the country. Additionally, the Cyclorama, which is a Civil War cylindrical panorama of the Battle of Atlanta is being relocated to the AHC from Grant Park where it had been for more than 100 years.
