A little further afield, Hayfield is at the bottom of Kinder, so a great place to start out on some walks up on the Kinder plateau. The Packhorse does fantastic food that is a little different from your average pub fare, with seasonally focused menu. It's definitely worth the trip.

3-5 Market StA little further afield, Hayfield is at the bottom of Kinder, so a great place to start out on some walks up on the Kinder plateau. The Packhorse does fantastic food that is a little different from your average pub fare, with seasonally focused menu. It's definitely worth the trip.
Thornbridge brewery pub with excellent food. Don't forget to stop at Monsall Head for an amazing view, and some lovely walks.

One of our favourite walks in the area, through Tideswell Dale to The Anglers Rest pub. The food's good here and it's a lovely setting by the river. Here's a link to the route for the round walk with a stop half way at the pub: https://www.komoot.com/tour/100280337?ref=wtd
