Edgewater just across Sheridan Blvd is a small Ville just outside Denver City limits. Once upon a time it had very little to offer but the Edgewater Inn pizza place and landmark. It was a run down town where some residents buried bodies in their back yards. Now with re-gentrification it has come up in the world.

10% discount. for Tennyson Bungalow tenants. Talk to Genaro tell Him: “Mi manda L’Amico Fritz” (Meeh man-dah La-meeko Fritz) and hill give you a 10% discount. Great food great eating events. Book ahead on line. Parisi Firenza a Tavola’‘s new location at 44th & Tennyson just 15 blocks up the hill is much bigger and the food is better than ever. Parisi The hold special events every week in the lower dining room that are real treats. Every Wednesday its either a community table -family style dining which everyone sits at one big table like you’re at Simone’s Grandma’s house or Wine dinners were an expert speaks about wines and parings. The Community table at $35 per person or the Wine Diner at $65 are a great value for the money compared to other places. You have to reserve a place sometimes months ahead. But for regular dining or take out you might have to call ahead in the evening. Lunch get pretty busy too but you could probably walk in and be seated shortly. I met Simone back in 97 in any case when he had taken over my 3 sons restaurant just down the road from this location. I had just returned from Italy where I lived for 10 years and was craving a pizza made Come Dio Comanda. Later on he would buy my grandfather’s heirloom tomatoes from me. Instead of a lemonade stand, in order to teach my nieces about commerce and agriculture, since we always grew our own vegetables, we did a little heirloom tomato project. Simone was great.

Denver's Birthplace This is the Historic Birth Place of Denver where Capt Larimer and his band of thugs jumped the claim of a prospecting party from Lawrence Kansas. Voila' Denver was born. Larimer and his thugs names adorn the cities historic centers streets. Lower Downtown (now LoDo) was blighted long before the 1965 flood. It had become a repository for everything discarded by humanity. Jack Kerouac Famous Beatnik- drug and alcohol addicted general kink and father of the hippy movement turned author used to flop around the area. In 67 the Currigan Administration developed the “In response to Flood plan” to redeveloped the area. It was shot down lack of monaay… To get the job done it would take LBJ’s America the Beautiful Program..Stew Udall’s Trails for America program the 1968 Flood Control legislation, The 1970 environmental protection act. And ultra-liberal Gaylord Nelson from Wisconsin recruiting long hair well-spoken Hippy from Harvard Denis Hayes… to create Earth Day and the Dirty Dozen list…in Conjunction with Colorado’s imminent Centennial. One of the Dirty Dozen Denver’s beloved Byron Rodgers got kicked out of Washington and so did Wayne Aspinal too. Be they blue or red every politician turned Green. Not out of love for the environment but out of fear of losing their jobs. Even Tricky Dick Nixon. Denver Big D Mayor Bill McNichol’s gave his political Rival Joe Shoemaker a big R Senator 2 million bucks out of a slushy sort of city fund…to form a committee to clean up the river. That committee became Joe Shoemakers Nonprofit Greenway Foundation. So was Confluence Park born, And then the Cheery Creek bike trail and South Platte River trail & park Natural flood control and water filtration recreational system. Socio- economic- environmental re-engineering at its best. The place still floods. And now there are a lot of Heroin addicts camping out up and down the bottoms. So watch out.
