Classy and very local cafe and cocktail bar right in the Piazza. Ask for a Richard's sgroppino after dinner (lemon sorbet, prosec and vodka). Their ice creams and desserts are all home-made and beyond!

The 1st sight of the sea through the pine forest is worth the car park fee itself! Fun and friendly bar with music plus beds and umbrellas. Can get €€€ in peak summer but just nearby is lots of free beach all surrounded by pine forests.

Beautiful stretch of very sandy beach with shallow crystal water. May+early June & late Sep/Oct you could almost be in the Maldives. In between you'll wish you were as it gets CRAZY busy!

Great beach for kids, with super sandy beach and shallow water. There's a beach bar in the middle and decent seafood restaurants at either ends of the bay. Ristorante Blu Mare is nice.

Essentials

I prefer 'the Pen' to Lidl to be honest (although you can't go wrong with Lidl): it has a nicer fruit & veg section and sometimes good offers. Open Sunday mornings too.

If you're not on the beach, you really need to visit Lecce at least once. Go late afternoon and wander around the centre admiring the Leccese Baroque architecture and stone.
