If you would like a chance to canoe under the Pont-du-Gard on the Gardon river, come here. There is a company by the river that offers this opportunity; http://www.natu-rando.com/ I have done the 7km decent (they drive you to the start) and it was a simple route where you can take your time, take a picnic and just enjoy the scenery. The town is not a destination in itself but instead a great spot for cycling routes and water activities.

Have had brilliant nights here. The nights of 'Toro Piscine' are the best, especially when paired with a meal of Guardianne or Paella in their large barn/restaurant. Everything is VERY rustic and you can end up sharing tables with others but I think it is worth it.
