If the weather is good you should consider doing what a lot of locals do - do a picnic in The King’s Garden (Kongens Have). There is a food market in the area - perfect for picnic shopping before you go in the park - it is called Torvehallerne.

The best museum in my opinion is Frilandsmuseet. It is a wonderful open air museum. There is a wide variety of old houses, workshops, farmhouses and mills collected from all over Denmark and neighbouring countries. They are in a natural setting and furnished as authentically as possible. It really is an enjoyable way to get a feel for danish history. There are over 80 places to see, all clearly explained in Danish and English and lots of lovely areas to sit and enjoy the countryside setting.
