My favorite, a bit more expensive ($18-$30 entrees), but well worth it. Fresh fish is right off the boat and great pupus (appetizers), at Turtle bay resort, so go watch the Sunset at the pool bar with a mai tai and afterwards enjoy a lovely dinner at Lei Lei's.

This is OUR beach. Walk across the street and you will see the beach access to your left. NOT for swimming when the waves are big. The sunset is great on the lanai, but for a change do walk down and watch the Sunset on the beach with a beverage of your choice. If you are an early bird, wake up with the sunrise and be the first foot prints on the sand. That's the best time for shell picking.

Not too far away, head towards Sunset Beach Elementary School (across the street from Pipeline), go into the parking lot and the trailhead is on the left hand side. Trail is well marked, however there is a 2nd pillbox after you see the 1st one that has a slightly better view which is about another 10 minute walk. Just continue on and stay to the left, you'll see a sign the says, "don't trespass", keep on going (lol) and you will be there in a few. Have fun!

Go up Pupukea Road, near Foodland. As you drive up, make your first right, you'll see a sign that is marked, Heiau (ancient burial ground). Go to the end of the road, you'll see a parking area. There is a small trail with beautiful views or you can just look off the bluff and see Waimea Bay. If you continue to drive all the way up Pupukea Road, there is a boyscout camp to the left, but lots of hike trailing in the wilderness. Very peaceful and hardly anyone goes up there except me!
