The place is worth the drive, especially on sunny days when you can sit outside on the pier. It's a bit pricy, but they have good coffee and pastries. They have items for sale as well, interior and such.

It's a good place for a walk, both in summer and winter. In the winter you can see the northen lights clearly from inside the woods (I'd probably bring a flashlight if I was alone though). It's also a good starting point for a run or a hike.

If you wanna hike, start from the paths at the end of Gimlevegen. There's a board/map of all the paths you could take, and if you follow the one called "Varden", you'll get a small and a bit steep hike to a beautiful view.
