Arthurs Seat is an extinct volcano and is situated next to Holyrood Palace. Most people love to climb to the top and take in the spectacular views of Edinburgh.
Edinburgh castle is situated in the town centre it is at the top of the royal mile /High street. As you walk down from the castle the street is surrounded by little closes where you will find pubs and cafes tucked away. if you walk from the entrance of the castle all the way downhill for 1 mile you will come to Holyrood Palace surrounded in history and Arthur seat an extinct volcano (Kings park) .

This famous hill is situated at the end of princes street. it is home to the national monument and fantastic views of Edinburgh. a very enjoyable day out for a picnic. it also holds the pagan festival and the vikings celebration fires at new year.

There are many museums in Edinburgh but this is the mother of them all it has a bit of everything, well worth a visit. You can take a lift up to the top floor in the new part of the museum and see a spectacular view of the city. There is also a cafe in the museum and a lovely restaurant next door. There are many cafes and bars around this area.
