Coronado is likely the cleanest and 'fanciest' feeling beaches in San Diego. It requires taking the coronado bridge to get there -- which is a treat within itself. We recommend picking a spot close to the famous Hotel Del Coronado hotel which features an easily accessible icecream parlor and there are often sand castle sculptures on the beach.
