City advice

Getting around

Get a 24h ticket for zone 110

With this ticket you can use all bus, tram, train and even boats inside the city zone (110). watch out to where the zone end, so for example the airport is in another zone. Fines are very high when you have none or the wrong ticket. You can enter without showing the ticket but the control regularly.
Ways to save

Buy drinks in Coop or Migros

Buy all your drinks and water in supermarkets (Migros, Coop, Aldi, Denner, Lidl) avoid takeaway, kiosk etc as they are charging up to 5x more then supermarkets. Be aware that Migros doesn’t sell alcohol
Ways to save

Avoid taxis

Taxis are very expensive, just to entering you pay already 10 francs, then they charge a lot per minute and km. Use public transport or walk :)
Ways to save

Don’t pay for swimming in the lake or river

There are many spots at the lake or river where you can enter for free.
