The Arboretum is great at nearly any time of year. The volunteers keep it immaculate, and it's a beautiful walk full of large fields, fountains, and flowers. There is a cool little cave in there as well as a kids' section. Entrance is FREE. It's located just off Penn State's campus (near East Halls). Also makes for great photos with your family.

The Arboretum at Penn State
Bigler RoadThe Arboretum is great at nearly any time of year. The volunteers keep it immaculate, and it's a beautiful walk full of large fields, fountains, and flowers. There is a cool little cave in there as well as a kids' section. Entrance is FREE. It's located just off Penn State's campus (near East Halls). Also makes for great photos with your family.
If you need a place to take the kids for an hour or two, you can't lose with a trampoline park!

Tucked away in a little neighborhood, we love this winery. Check their website for events and small bands. You can also order a cheese tray and sit outside during nice weather (kids can run around out there, as it is just fields). Mt Nittany Winery is closer to you, but if you love hitting up wineries, be sure to include this one!

This restaurant fills up quickly but takes reservations, so it's best to make one if you're in the mood for a good steak!

If you go to crpr.org, you will see a complete list of parks and what they have to offer. If you've got kids and need to fill a few hours/tire them out, there are lots of options!
