The Ridgeway Inn is set in our local village, and within a 5-10 minute walk (relatively steep hill). Good food, but opening days and times are very erratic, so definitely call ahead if you'd like to book.

Sightseeing

Great seaside town, with a lovely, flat walk along the sea front. Nice shops, and cafes. Highly recommend going to Jacobs Ladder cafe at the far end of the beach - nice gardens up there too.

The last time I went here the parking was free and you had free access to the cafe before commiting to buyinga ticket for the gardens. The lane down to the gardens also leads down to the beach.

Tesco Axminster is our losest Supermarket, at around 3 miles away. Relatively small and lacking variety, so I would recommend the Chard Tesco instead. There is also a Lidl opposite.
