City advice

Don't miss

Double Trouble State Park

State park with several trails for the novice. Also provides access for kayaks and has historic buildings for sightseeing.
Don't miss

Johnson Pit

A hidden gem about a mile from the house. Located behind Beachwood Elementary school. If you leave the house and make a right. Walk down to chestnut and make a left. That should lead you to a paved bike path. Off of the bike path are trails in a wooden area. Follow the trail in the woods to the edge of the tree line till you find a series of sand dunes. The area is mainly used for ATVs and ORVs but you can hike the area as well and it will lead you to beautiful crystal clear fresh water. Use google maps to get a better sense of the area.
Don't miss

Mayo Park

Easy 1 mile walk from the house. Playgrounds and ball fields near the water. Has different events weekly (movies in the park)
