It looks like a hole in the wall and is tiny, but MIGHTY! Outside of Mexico, this is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. My fav dish is the sweet plantain and black bean quesadilla. It is amazing!

So while we think that our coffee is the best, this is my husband's (the coffee snob) go-to spot to get a cold brew or pour. It is also on one of the prettiest blocks in the neighborhood.

A true Fort Greene staple, this South African restaurant has been one of our favorites for years. The lively interior is a great place to go when it is chilly out, and the sidewalk seating in the summer is one of the best place to sample innovative food and wine.

Parks & Nature
We go to "The Park" every single morning. Our dog, Laya, gets to take advantage of the off-leash hours before 9am. She and a 100 of her furry friends can be seen running, rolling and sniffing all over the park in the morning. After 9am, the doggies are replaced by little kiddos, sun bathers, joggers, and people just taking in the stunning scenery. The park is the center of Fort Greene and is one of the key reasons that we have stayed in the neighborhood for so long.
