We love the South Sands Hotel and it's only a short walk from our home. Great for a quick drink or a meal in the restaurant, with lovely views over South Sands.

A 15 minute walk from Skylark through Tor Woods, this wonderful National Trust museum and gardens is well worth a visit, especially in the Spring. Sadly, not dog friendly.

Another wonderful National Trust walk and very close to our home. Wonderful views over Starehole Bay - a favourite spot for waterskiing in the summer. Quite steep in places, so you do need to be reasonably fit.

Probably the best beach in Salcombe - although technically, this is East Portlemouth on the other side of the estuary. Take the ferry and follow the road around to the beach.
