Sorrento can be quite noisy and jammed with traffic. To walk from your apartment, I recommend NOT taking the main road. Instead, turn left as you leave the main gate, walk down the road, take the ancient little alleys made of volcanic stone, and turn left toward the city centre. I also recommend this detour for magical viewpoints.

Relax, swim and enjoy a sunset drink at the edge of the unique Roman ruins, feet in the water.
