Arts & Culture

Completely unique. The eccentricity of the outside does not prepare you for the even more eccentric inside. A must for any visitor to Brighton

Food Scene

Very near. Especially good breads. Patisseries are nice, though obviously not up to continental standards!

Undoubtedly the best cafe on the seafront. Very "Brighton". If you want classic fish and chips don't come here. We love it.

Sightseeing

You can't really miss it. Its worth a walk down once, though if arcade games are not your thing it might drive you a bit nuts. Once you are through the arcade games you can enjoy a nice promenade on the walkway.

The derelict West Pier can be absolutely beautiful at sunset, especially when the starlings are roosting.

You have to go to the seafront! That's presumably why you are here. Walking between the piers is great. Check out the carousel and the fishing museum. Threading children through the doughnut sculpture was a family favourite (too big now). Trying to climb up the sculpture that looks like a wreck ship hull is also a perennial favourite.

Extremely eccentric interior which has to be seen to be believed. But even if royal homes are not your thing, the gardens are great place to catch the locals relaxing and the cafe is very convenient for an instant picnic or tea break from shopping/sightseeing.
