Swimming!

Our pond is great for small boating, fishing and maybe cooling off in a tube but its not necessarily a 'swimming pond'. Here are some local areas you may enjoy!
Pretty scenery and just off the main road in North Conway, this tucked away little lake is a great spot for cooling off, tubing or just having fun!

A must stop! Drive along the Kancamagus Hwy for the breathtaking scenic views, the MANY hikes, waterfalls or moose sightings at dusk. This 32 mile long highway starts in Conway, just 1/2 mile from the cottage and ends in Lincoln, NH, another great town to explore. Along the way, you will see captivating views of the White Mountains, hiking trails, some historic landmarks and more. There is NO gas or restaurants along the 30+ mile drive so be prepared!

Great way to spend a hot day! Grab the family and head on over. Tubes are for rent and the Saco River is 'usually' pretty low and slow during the months of July & August. Check with staff before booking if you are nervous about the conditions.

A great hike for all abilities! This is a 'moderate' hike approximately 2 1/2 miles long that begins off Hurricane Mountain Road. It is a gradual incline until the last 1/4 mile where it starts to get a bit steeper over large rocks/boulders. There is an option to go up the trail just to the right that is longer but easier. You may also wish to continue onto Cranmore Mountain which is downhill from Black Cap Mtn and has beautiful views at the top of the summit. The lodge is usually open for refreshments and beverages and has an outdoor picnic area where you can catch a breath before heading back to the trail.

a GORGEOUS hike...a bit strenuous if you are not a hiker, but if you like to hike, you must check out Mount Pierce. One of the smaller infamous 4,000 footers in NH, this one is a gradual climb to the top with incredible views in all directions! We highly recommend parking near the AMC Highland Center on Route 302 and taking the Crawford Path up. The trail is approx 6 miles. Start early...the hike takes anywhere from 4-7 hours depending on your experience. Also, with any climbs in NH, always check the Mountain Forecast as weather on top of the Mountains is usually very different than at the trailhead!

Peaked Mountain (and Middle Mountain) is a moderate hike with approximately 1800 feet of elevation. This trailhead can be found on Thompson Road in Conway NH. You have the option of doing both peaks (approximately 5.5 miles) or hitting Peaked or Middle mountain separately. They both offer tremendous views of North Conway and Peaked Mtn has views of Mount Washington and the Mt. Washington Omni Hotel.
