This is the closest place to get beignets. Walk down Allard to get there. It’s next to a playground. You will see interesting birds in the bayou. The sculpture garden across the street is excellent and was expanded in 2019.

This is a local favorite for snowballs. Which are snowcones but much better. The ice is shaved finer, there are lots of different syrup options, and you can get them with softserve or sweetened condensed milk. It's hard to predict when Pandora's will open. It seems to usually be on hot days.

This is the closest cafe to our house. It has some of the best coffee in town. Our girls love the babka muffins. They have good savory options too. Sometimes there’s live music. It seems people work from this cafe too.
