This is the heart of Austin. This is Austin before it got trendy. Funky little bungalow with great outdoor seating. The best sandwiches hands down. The mozzarella and grilled zucchini is a DO IT.

Not a coffee shop (although they have fresh brew for $1). This is THE place to buy your coffee beans. An old-time general store feel and friendly service. Get a few half-pound bags to give as gifts!

Sightseeing

You had no idea about the beauty of Austin and its surroundings until you see it all from Mount Bonnell. It's a breathy hike up (90+ stairs!) but worth it.
