Guidebook for Los Angeles

My favorite restaurant in the community.

Now celebrating its 70th year in business, the Apple Pan has never changed hands or accepted anything but cash. The day the Apple Pan opened, on April 11, 1947, a neighbor brought flowers to crown the U-shape counter of the Pico Boulevard burger joint.

John O'Groats, it’s a little family-owned, breakfast and lunch place serving old-fashioned Americana and Biscuits .. The name John o' Groats has a particular resonance because it is often used as a starting or ending point for cycles, walks, and charitable events to and from Land's End (at the extreme south-western tip of the Cornish peninsula in England).
