The cozy cottage is situated on 10 acres of peaceful hardwood forest. It offers privacy & is SECLUDED & yet it's 100 ft. to my back door so that you feel safe and secure. The area is surrounded with many gardens and surprises at every turn, such as a swing for two, steps from the cottage door. We also have a swing in front of a water feature & koi pond. In the cold season we may have a fire pit lite for you. At other times you may pick blueberries or lettuce from our vegetable garden.
Cozy cottage in the forest with amenities that include a kitchenette with small stove, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, student refrigerator, and coffee maker. A.C./Heater, TV with cable, Netflix and Wifi. Security lights for parking and on the deck. 15 minutes to St. Marks, Shell Point, Panacea, and Wakulla Springs State Park. 25 minutes to Tallahassee, Florida and the State Capital. Use of hot-tub upon request to insure your privacy. Quiet place for nature lovers. Perfect for out of town guests during the holidays, games, or graduation.
Nestled in a hardwood forest our street winds down to a sign that says, "No Thru Traffic". It switches from paved to dirt and we are the last driveway on the left. Welcome to our sanctuary. Another driveway thru the woods will show you a shortcut. We only ask that you advise us when you would like to use the hot tub so that we can insure your privacy.
  • This is such a fabulous little place! We were completely surprised and delighted! Taking a dip in the hot tub with an adult beverage upon arrival late at night was an elixir to our travel weary souls!

  • We searched for an Airbnb that was back to nature and found the perfect get away. Tina and Paul’s cottage in the woods is away from it all and so relaxing. And this little cottage has the best shower! It was close to a lot of trails and places to explore. We had a great week enjoying all that’s in the area so close to this cozy cottage in the woods.

    Karen2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had great stay at the Cottage in the woods. The Warmth And Hospitality was terrific. It was a cold night by Florida standards and they gave us great local tips for diner and then we had a great soak in the hot tub under clear star filled sky. The cottage is quaint and perfect for our stay. So glad we made that choice to stay with Paul and Tina

  • Had a wonderful stay at Tina & Paul’s cottage. We booked it so we would feel comfortable leaving our Frenchie, Josey, when needed. We enjoyed the tranquil outdoor setting & the closeness the cottage offered to everything we wanted to do in the area.

    Amy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tina was amazing, prior to booking I inquired about activities nearby. She gave killer suggestions. She was super nice, warm and welcoming!!! The location was so peaceful. I would book again in a heartbeat 💗 Check in was easy. Greeted upon arrival. Got a tour of the property and a wide variety of suggestions of where to eat, things to do, etc.

We would like our guests to know even though the risk has been deemed low for the spread of COVID-19 in our area we are following all the guidelines put forward by the CDC & local agencies to help ensure the safety of our guests. A getaway on 2 private wooded acres & 400ft of the Sopchoppy River. Located on Florida's Nature Coast....fresh seafood, white sand beaches & relaxing ocean breezes with staff close by. Thank you for considering the Sopchoppy River House for your precious time away.
The moment you pull up the sandy secluded circle drive you realize, just as we did when we purchased our home, how special this vacation property really is. The stilts supporting the home along with interior features, like the custom designed spiral staircase leading to the Loft bedroom (1 queen size bed), give a real modern day Robinson Crusoe treehouse feeling for our guests with an overlook down to a living room area the whole family could just melt into with the cozy remote control electric fireplace. DVD player & Smartv for streaming Hulu - “Sopchoppy River House Guest”, Food Network Go, ABC, NBC, CNN Go, NBC News, ABC News, YouTube, CBS All Access , FoxNow (limited access), (living room only) or your favorite apps like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. The beautiful faulted wood ceilings throughout the home just instantly relax you. Fully equipped kitchen for just about anything you would like to whip up from a batch of your favorite cookies to a seafood boil (large pot with strainer in bathroom closet - upper right). A fridge large enough for all the local restaurant leftovers. The large 4 burner gas grill on the outdoor deck with it’s river views never seems to have a lack of volunteers for grilling duty. Great breakfast bar area for hanging out around during dinner prep. We’ve taken to calling it the “Oyster Bar” but also a great work space if you must catch up with a few things. Just incase you forgot to bring a good book or game we may have you covered with an assortment of games & books to choose from on the “Oyster Bar’s” unique glass shelving area. Just before heading out the patio door you will find a nook area where the sofa folds down to a double size bed. When my wife & I sleep here we find this space comfortable, private & cozy. It’s a great space for the kids or 1-2 average size adults. The home’s interior seems to naturally draw you to the screened porch and multiple decks with spectacular views of the Sopchoppy River....a space where your sure to find yourself spending countless hours of relaxation.
Being surrounded by the Apalachicola National Forest & the private 2 acres the River House was built on make this a very unique & private getaway. Unless you are really looking hard no other homes are visible from the property. Approximately 2 miles from the town of Sopchoppy for groceries or enjoy the new park with playground & bandstand.
  • This hidden gem is ideal for someone looking to “get away from it all”, and perfect for an adult couple who love the unspoiled Florida wilderness!

    Roma2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Sopchoppy Riverhouse is the perfect Airbnb experience for those wanting to experience the real Florida. The house was suspended in the trees, immaculate, roomy, comfortable, and even more attractive than the pictures portray. I did a week there as a solo trip -- 'arm' days kayaking all along the Sopchoppy River, and the marshes from Tucker Lake to Ochlockonee Bay at Bald Point State Park; 'leg' days walking the backroads and beaches of the area; and cycling St. George Island (grab a bike from Island Dog adventure rentals and ride to St. G Island State Park and then walk the beaches!) Loved the authenticity of Fathoms restaurant at Carrabelle, complete with the guy at the bar with the blue parrot on his shoulder. Evenings were spent at the house, grilling steaks or fresh fish, a glass of wine on the screened-in porch, and the mood lighting catching the barred owl observing me from his perch on the live oak branch. Yes, you do need to drive to many places, but the central location of Sopchoppy made everything very doable. And the house would have easily accommodated our family of four (including two leggy teenagers). Finally, Cory and his cohorts did an excellent job responding to my requests/questions. His on-line and hard-copy local guides were great! I came home rested and rejuvenated.

  • The Sopchoppy River House is a great place to experience natural Florida. It is relaxing and the property is beautiful. We loved the screened porch overlooking the river.

    Eleanor2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place for a relaxing and peaceful weekend. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch and the deck watching the river. It is close to kayaking, beaches, and hiking while being tucked away from everything. You are only a few minutes from Sopchoppy, and a few minutes more to Panacea or Crawfordville if you need something. Would absolutely come back again.

    Rosemary2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house in the countryside. Ideal to relax in peace. The terrace with mosquito net is perfect for enjoying the view of the river. The house is well equipped and comfortable (including fans and air conditioning). Cory and her family are responsive and caring. They give many necessary instructions for entry and exit. Thanks again to them, we had a very good stay in Sopchoppy.

  • Really nice house, great location (if you like solitude), great area. We enjoyed it a lot.

    John2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • As first time Airbnb'rs we couldn't have been more thrilled with our stay! Donna and Eric are good people! The place is clean and welcoming. The house dogs are friendly and affectionate while the hunt dogs are well trained and amazingly quiet. With a little patio table and chairs the sunrises are worth the early wake up. Free-range chickens and bunnies scamper the property as the sun greets you with amazing oranges and pinks. Nature abounds in this neck of the woods. From National forests, state parks, geological sites, and then the coast. We will be back soon!

    Chris2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place has a very "out in the country" type vibe, but yet is near to lots of nature trails and state parks. Donna has tastefully decorated the room, and the bathroom and shower are wonderful! We were welcomed and Donna was there to help out in any way she could. If you want to be near the coast but also away from the hubbub, this is perfect. Enjoyed our stay there.

  • Great place for everyone who wants to get away. Robert and Laura are fantastic knowledgeable hosts with very inviting house, where you can find everything necessary for comfy camping with kids. We went fishing and kayaking, made a big fire and roasted marshmallows. Highly recommended!

  • Had a wonderful stay at Robert and Laura’s Airbnb! Being right on the creek in a cute little house with everything you could need was perfect. Also, having access to kayaks was awesome!

    Haley2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend it enough, we grilled and had dinner out on the dock and spent most of our time out on the water during the day. The house was sparkling clean and Robert and Laura are so laid back and friendly, it felt easy to be in shared public space because of them! Relaxing, quiet, and a rare gem to experience old Florida.

  • The carriage house was in the perfect location to see some of the surrounding sights! It was easy check in and had a washer and dryer which helped us as we had been traveling for some time! But best of all was the extra amenities that you don’t expect: breakfast items and toiletries! Very nice touch!

Our little cottage was built in 2015 and has hardwood floors and is an open living room, kitchen floor plan. The home has a large screened in patio for lounging without bugs. It is on an acre lot, located adjacent in to the St Marks Wildlife Refuge in Medart. The cottage is located a 5 miles to Panacea, and the seafood retailers and restaurants are excellent. This is in a quite, natural area. We are 25 min to FSU campus, and close to the coast for boating, kayaking, and fishing.
This is a quite, relaxing place. We are adjacent to the St Marks Wildlife Refuge. Both Queen beds are comfortable and master bedroom has walk in closet. Being next to the Wildlife Refuge there is the opportunity for an encounter. This is rare, but expected when living in the coastal communities.
Some really great fishing in the area. We also have some excellent seafood restaurants, and retail seafood outlets. St Marks Wildlife Refuge connects to the property, and the lighthouse and bird areas of the SMWLR is about 20 minutes down Costal Hwy. Florida Trail is just around the corner. Some roads are sand in the area. We are on a sand road, for a short period (100 yards) before it connects to an asphalt road.
  • Great space and host.

    Billy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and comfortable home in quiet location. My son and husband enjoyed playing ping pong. Dael and Doug were quick to respond. Both were wonderful on suggesting local restaurants and places to sight see. I highly recommend going to Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park and taking the boat ride.

    Becky2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We could not say better things about this home. It was set on a very private piece of land, like having our own sanctuary. Everything was spotless, and Doug and Dael went above and beyond to make sure the home came equipped with everything we could possibly need. The home was very spacious, constructed with all top notch materials and appliances - everything felt like new! The hosts were great and gave us many suggestions on where to go in the area (beaches, stores etc.) We would 100% recommend this place to others and really hope to be back soon.

This is a great place get away and close enough to almost anything you want to do.
  • Theses ladies are on top of the hospitality game ! Freshly laundered 500 thread count sheets , lovely , fresh quilts and most comfy bed ever ! Darling homey touches and extremely clean , fresh and new feeling with great yard and no sandspurs ! Safe neighborhood and great location for fishing , kayaking , biking , hiking , beaches and shopping , restaurants . Loved the pontoon cottage !

  • Great place for a great value. We liked the proximity to the wildlife preserve and beaches. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for own meals.

    John2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Pontoon cottage was more than we expected, and Helen was beyond accommodating. The cottage is much larger than it seems, and has a fully fenced back yard which was great for our two dogs. There are local seafood restaurants minutes away from the cottage as well as anything else you may need. We will definitely be back!

    Mindy2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, cute place close to Wakulla springs! Would definitely stay again.

    Calli2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect home away from home while in the area. We were traveling with our dog and the fenced back yard was so helpful. Very cozy and clean. Even though it’s on a busy street, the traffic dies down considerably by 8:00 or 9:00 pm. Traffic noise wasn’t a problem at all. We loved the bottle of wine waiting for us too!

    Laurie2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • When first arriving to the location we noticed we would be staying in a guest house and we were bit off put by that because we really like our privacy. We had 100% privacy though and we really enjoyed our stay. 10/10 would recommend.

  • We were needing a place to stay that was relatively close to Wakulla High School for a weekend tournament and the local hotels were sold out. Not wanting to drive all the way to Tallahassee every evening, I looked on Airbnb and found this place...only 6 miles away. It worked out perfectly for us. The location is quiet and felt like a safe neighborhood. If we find ourselves back in this area for future tournaments, I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.

    Rhonda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as described. Very nice stay. Very nice place for a few days away. Would define stay again.

    Deborah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is in a quiet neighborhood, in a quiet village. It has a big yard and there is a pretty park just down the road, so this is a good location for bringing your dog. Beautiful beaches with public access on Alligator Point also allow dogs. Florida state parks don't allow dogs on the beaches, but they are allowed on trails. We shopped in Crawfordville before arrival, and bought anything else we needed at Dollar General. Posey's does take-out orders and the food was really good.

    Mary2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

Quick personal responses whenever we had questions. Their house is easy to find with plenty of parking space. Loved every minute we spent there. Would highly recommend this space.

  • We had traveled from Tampa Bay to Crawfordville, Florida. Spring Creek Retreat was an excellent place to stay for our daughter's wedding. She had chosen The Lodge at Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park for her ceremony/reception. The house was about 10 minutes from the venue, which made it very convenient to check on our "fur babies", and after a full day/evening it was great to have that short drive to go back for sleep. It is also only a short drive to Tallahassee. Our host provided a very clean, well decorated home, with great amenities, which saved us a lot of space in our vehicles, having to bring our "babies" with us. Our "babies" had plenty of room to stretch out, and a fenced yard for fresh air.

  • We enjoyed our week at this Air BnB. The location might be described as rural Florist panhandle but we felt very safe and enjoyed how close we were to many area attractions. The house was clean and bug free. The owners communicated well. We felt it was a good value overall and we certainly would stay at this location again.

  • Lovely space for our family to relax while exploring Wakulla Springs. Squire and Ronda are super friendly and hospitable and reacted within minutes to any questions we had. Thanks especially for the Angelo’s restaurant tip, the fish there is some of the best we’ve had. Highly recommended.

  • I highly recommend a stay with Jenny

  • Jenny is so accommodating and sweet! We felt right at home here. Our room was a perfect little bnb style space. Had our own private bathroom and she had towels and shampoo and all the little things that you need. Our daughter and I both loved getting to feed the horses on site and play with her two sweet doggies who greet you with love when you arrive. Jenny and her sister are lovely and kind and so nice to talk to. We had a wonderful stay while there. We Will be back.

The elevated house sits on 2 private acres amid live oaks, magnolias and palms with spectacular views of Apalachee Bay, Smith Island Rookery, and the Gulf of Mexico. Located in the quiet fishing hamlet of Spring Creek, it is only 26 miles from FSU, FAMU and downtown Tallahassee. Nearby are 10 maintained boat ramps and easy access to beaches, the Capital City to Sea Bike Trail, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge and Wakulla Springs State Park. It is 56 mi. to St. George Island and Apalachicola.
Large circular driveway can accommodate trailers and boats. The two bedrooms each have private baths. The fully equipped kitchen and breakfast nook open to a covered porch. Coffee and tea provided, but not breakfast. A second screened porch also faces the bay. The dining room can seat 6 people. There is wifi, a Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and a DVD/CD player. There is a gas grill/outdoor kitchen with seating and a table on the mezzanine porch. There is covered parking beneath the house. Laundry facilities will be available for stays of 1 week or more.
Quiet and very safe neighborhood providing a glimpse into the Old Florida. Spectacular wildlife observation from the property and in the area, including an amazing variety of birds as well as dolphins, otters and the occasional. Oysters and blue crabs are harvested locally. A wide variety of outdoor recreation is readily available: fishing, boating, biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, hunting, bird and butterfly watching and seasonal festivals. Nearby St. Marks Wildlife Refuge, Wakulla Springs State Park, St. George Island State Park and the Apalachicola National Forest are all nationally recognized for their unique habitats.
  • What a beautiful home! The pictures don't do it justice. We loved waking up watching the sunrise over the water. The home is beautifully decorated with many special touches. The serene yard and quiet area made it an amazing stay. Thank you for hospitality. Highly recommend!

    Melissa2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, comfortable house, a type of stay where you can feel at home. Outstanding view of the marsh from the bedroom and most other rooms with great amenities and beautiful nature-themed decorations. Quiet spot and well maintained property, would love to go back, even if just for the awesome sunrise through the window in the morning or the breeze on the balcony. We loved watching the birds at the feeders and listening to the osprey call from the water. This home is incredibly close (10-20 min) to St. Marks NWR and many other nature spots which is a huge bonus for us. James and Kathryn were helpful, warm hosts and were always there to answer questions and provide help. My favorite Airbnb to date!

    Jessica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place, the house, the amenities, the view, the quiet. It was a wonderful base to return to after our excursions each day. Waking up to the bay view each morning, watching birds at the feeder, looking out at the tide coming and going with binoculars from the two porches, viewing the myriad of stars in the dark sky. Many thoughtful and comfortable touches - comfortable beds, nice sheets and towels, plenty of blanket options, plenty of storage and hangers, cloth napkins, toilet paper, tissues and soap/shampoo provided, drip and keurig coffeemakers with coffee, lots of dishes, pans & utensils, wifi, netflix/amazon prime, binoculars, nature and birding guidebooks, local interest books and tourist materials, thoughtful recommendations. We have stayed at a lot of airbnb homes and Kathryn & James's provided one of the best lodgings we have experienced.

    Joanie2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house is quite beautiful and sparkling clean, with many elegant touches. Our favorite was the master bedroom bed facing out to view the morning sunrise over Oyster Bay. The location provides easy access to St. Mark's National Wildlife Refuge and other nature delights.

    William2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Spring Creek and Apalachee Bay bring you as close to the old Florida as we have found. Lots to see and do here. St. Marks for wildlife observation, plenty of gators here in their natural setting. The boat ride at Wakulla was very interesting and wonderful wildlife was seen throughout the trip.

    Ralph2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay here. It was such a peaceful setting and was so easy to get lost in the views of the bay. The sunrise was a wonderful surprise after a couple cloudy days. Great things to explore and awesome seafood all close by and James and Kathryn were excellent hosts.

    Madelyn2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, quiet, comfortable, home with LOTS of great windows! Hosts are very friendly and considerate. Bedroom is very comfortable and tranquil. Highly recommended.

  • This stunning property did not disappoint in any way. The house was sparkling clean, the host very responsive and accommodating, and the location was a beautiful place to relax. The added touches such as putting out bird feeders for us since we had mentioned we were coming to the area to go birding, were appreciated. We can highly recommend this property.

  • What a wonderful gem to find in the Panhandle! The house is private and secluded, but not far from all of the beauty of the beaches and states parks that make this part of Florida so special. The home is wonderfully decorated, and the kitchen is huge! Perfect if you love to cook while you travel. We also enjoyed the front porch, and our dogs loved the space as well. • Great place with unique art and super clean. In a quiet peaceful location. Kelly was very responsive to all our needs.

    Gillette2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here while working in TLH. The commute was quick. Kelli’s place was everything stated in the Airbnb description. I was not disappointed. My husband and great dane came down for a long weekend and the place was very comfortable for all. Clean, plenty if cooking pots, pan and utensils. We used the outdoor grill area, was very clean. Had an awesome time in Panacea, part due to the place we stayed!! I would love to stay here again!

    Tami2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kelli’s house was wonderful. The beds were new and comfy . The linens were clean and pretty. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The outside fish cleaning table and cooking area was really great . Loved all the artistic decorations. The washer and dryer works great. The outside sitting area was great. Not much negative to say other than the garbage man didn’t pick up for 10 days, which meant for some pretty stinky air .

    Patricia2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • So enjoyed our stay in this adorable home, whimsical decor throughout and extremely clean! Lots of privacy and nature all around. Perfect getaway.

  • This was truly a gem hidden on Florida’s Forgotten Coast! Really nice and cozy furnishings, lovely art work. This location is close to several wonderful, secluded beaches. We found the local restaurants to have great food, and that laid back North Florida vibe. Our time spent at Kelli’s “Artsy Fish house “ most enjoyable! Would love to visit again.

  • If you're looking for a relaxing vacation spot, this is it! Come down to On the Fly for great food, great company, and a great time. We enjoyed our mornings doing some sort of activity be it kayaking on the river, fishing, or exploring St. Marks NWR. We visited in July so in the afternoons we just chilled. My husband fished off the dock while I enjoyed reading by the water. Panacea is a beautiful hidden gem. There is more to do here than you would expect. But if you just want to relax and unwind, there is no better place than On the Fly. You wont be dissapointed if you visit this beautiful place!

  • Patricia's place provided us a wonderful stay at a lovely and fully-equipped cottage near the awesome St. Mark's Wildlife Refuge. Patricia is a first-rate hostess! She demonstrated her care and attention with daily messages complete with tips and offers of any help we might need. I've stayed at dozens of Airbnbs over the years, and this one earns my most enthusiastic recommendation yet.

    Rob2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you enjoy simplicity, quiet and quaint surroundings this is the best place in Florida! Patricia put the "Super" in Super Host! We loved the charming little cottage, screen porch and little yard! Tastefully decorated and well stocked - everything you need and more!! Was one of the best vacations we've ever had!

    Linda2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I love this place. If a cottage could hug you, this one would!! That's what it feels like every time I go there. Have been here many times before and will come as often as I can in the future. It is a fun, quirky, eclectic cottage by the bay!! It has a screened back porch and a fantastic back yard to watch raccoons and other small wildlife/birds. Everything you need to cooks meals is there (including quality spices and oils). Super clean with Mr Meyer's and Trader Joe cleaning products. Patricia is an extremely thoughtful hostess, has been doing airbnb for awhile and has pretty much thought of everything. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND - ENJOY

    Tami2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • 'For The Birds' is a special place, offering comfort, style, many special touches and access to recreation and restaurants and fresh sea food. Patricia made my feel right at home before I even arrived and all of my inquiries were quickly answered. The cottage is very clean, quiet, and offers all the amenities you will need for a relaxing getaway. This was my first airbnb experience and I don't think it can be topped!

    Janice2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully decorated little cottage with so many extra thoughtful amenities. Patricia was great to give us helpful hints about dining out and birding. She was the perfect hostess, and the quaint little cottage was perfect for us. We’ll be back!

    Harold2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I just love the place. Super clean and house has such great vibes!! Patricia is a great hostess. Very thoughtful. Thanks again for another great trip. See you next month!

    Tami2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia is a great host, she and her husband where present upon our arrival. They welcomed us with beautiful flowers and everything we needed for the next day breakfast (cinnamon bread, oatmeal, and good coffee). They explain to us all about the place and what to do in the area. We also appreciated all the thoughtful items around the place such as plenty of clothes hangers, lots of towels and blankets, as well as a very well-equipped kitchen and fully stocked with everything you need to cook. The internet is excellent. For the seafood lover in you, this town is great. Within 1 mile from the house you have 2 great seafood stores with smoke fish, catch of the day, crab, shrimps, etc. You have a Walmart and a Winn-Dixie within 30 minutes by car. If you like bio or organic products, you have a great store in Crawfordville. All in all my wife and I, really enjoyed our one-month stay at Patricia’s place.

    André2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia’s place is great! I had the best time at her cottage by the sea. The place was super clean, nice touches everywhere - from Trader Joe’s cleaning items, bath soaps to Mr Meyers products, extra blankets, extra kitchen items such as oils, spices.... Well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook! The place is two blocks from the bay and nestled in the trees. The inside is a mix of funky, antique coastal charm with updated bathrooms. Has a great sun porch out back to spend evening watching the sun go down. I regret having to leave, but I will visit For the Birds whenever i can. Patricia is a great host. I choose to stay at the bungalow during TS Nester. Patricia stayed up with me that night, sending wx alerts as she received/found them. What a great place, what a great host!!!

  • This is a great rental. We had a fabulous time. Steve is so accommodating and sweet and had many local tips for maximum enjoyment of the area. The kitchen utensils and cutlery were very well stocked for our family that loves to cook the whole time we hang out. The ice machine was a nice touch and the kids had a lot of fun in the game room. There was enough space that the 8 of us could very comfortably spread out or hang out together. The sunrise off the deck is absolutely breathtaking ❤️

  • David's cabin provided my friends and I a wonderful place to relax and spend time away for a weekend. The cabin was beautiful with a vintage flair and the amount of space available both inside and outside is perfect for a group. Thank you so much we had a blast!! Highly recommend.

  • David's place was wonderful and fully enjoyed by my friend's and I. We were all in the area for a wedding, and it was the perfect place to retreat back to amongst all of the wedding festivities. It is a peaceful and quiet location, and well represented by the description on Airbnb. David was a great host and his message responses were impressively speedy. It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. Hope to come back and enjoy the canoes and screened in porch a bit more. Thanks David!

  • Visiting our daughter was the reason we traveled to Tallahassee but David’s place made it feel like an actual vacation nestled in the trees. We spent the day on the river, canoeing/kayaking, fishing and admiring manatees. The bunk room was awesome. The kids are begging to go back. It is rustic, which was part of the charm. David’s communication and flexibility were awesome!!

    Janet2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • David's home was amazing, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. The surrounding area just outside the home was very scenic and nice, we saw some manatees early in the morning which was lovely. overall I recommend staying at Davids home and would gladly stay there again.

  • An incredible place very quiet and peaceful. We loved house and surrounding. Bedrooms and family room are so cosy. The perfect place.

  • Staying at David' s rustic river retreat was so much fun for my three daughters, five grandkids and me! We had a blast making memories at this amazing place. It is truly a nature lover's paradise and we didn't want to leave! I especially appreciated David's understanding and help when I suddenly had to reschedule due to a death in the family. Many thanks for everything!

  • Michelle met us and showed us around. We didn’t know what to expect since we’d never stayed in an RV but it worked great and was so much better than a hotel.

    Melissa2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Who knew staying in an RV could be so cool! I was surprised by the spaciousness. I could live here! They had all the creature comforts. We didn't use the shower in the RV because we are used to the spaciousness of our bathrooms at home, and we were very pleased with how clean the community showers/bathrooms were. I was overjoyed when I spotted the white squirrels across the street! They are a very rare genetic mutation. So cool!

  • The area is nice and quiet, I had a relaxing stay at Wildwood, the RV is very nice and spacious.

  • Absolutely loved staying here! Everything was impeccably clean and cozy. I highly recommend staying here. Very safe location, and everyone is friendly. I have always been to the tourist trap beaches of Florida. I will not go that route again! The beach is only a short drive from the RV. The drive there is breathtaking! I went to Alligator Point. It was very peaceful and uncrowded. Just what I was looking for!! Definitely, plan on staying here again.

  • What a great spot!!! We highly recommend Michelle’s trailer at Wildwood RV resort and golf course. The location was convenient to so many great local spots and a perfect jump off point for day trips. Wakulla County is a hidden gem!!!!! Beautiful beaches and amazing natural spaces. Our accommodations were very Clean, comfortable and safe. All the amenities we needed for cooking, sleeping and hanging out. We especially loved the patio swing and chairs provided. The back drop of the golf course and pond made for a lovely setting and we were sad to leave after 5 weeks. Michelle and all the staff were accommodating and professional. True southern charmers!!!!!

  • My husband and I had a great time! We came down for a quick Valentines trip. We stayed two nights. The house was great- super cute and clean and literally a couple steps to the water. The couch wasn't very comfortable (only downside to the whole place) but the bed definitely was. Everything in the place was brand new (still had tags on). We will definitely coming back when the weather warms up! Evolve and Toni were both great and super quick with communications.

  • Sandy's house was so perfect for us. The surrounding area was amazingly quiet. We slept very well on the king size bed. We also loved the old vinyl record collection.

    Glenda2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • It’s very clean, modern amenities but with older charming furnishings. Very comfortable bed and a perfect spot. The record player was fun and we loved looking at the stars. Can’t wait to go back again.

    Sara2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip was very last minute. Mrs Sandy was able to confirm our request within an hour and we were in the house fairly quickly after that. The home has a lot of living space and the view was breathtaking. The home is in a quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors that didn't mind that we were up a little late on our first night there. Sandy had a lot of little touches. Things that one might forget. She also had games, puzzles, cd's and CD player, quiet areas for reading, lots of blankets, soft and fragrant towels. We had great nights of sleep in the comfortable beds. Also you can't beat the price, you cant get a hotel cheaper with all the amenities and views like the house has. We will definitely be back. Mrs Sandy was very nice and thoughtful and made the process easy.

    Laura2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

  • I can honestly say that Sandy is a gracious host with a comfortable home. She is a kind person and highly respectful of her guests. Her home is clean and is evident that she takes pride in offering her guests a great place to stay.

  • Sandy’s home is a wonderful combination of rustic and retro with every modern convenience you could possibly want!! The spaces are open and yet allow for privacy when desired. The views are stunning!! Yet the best “touch” is Sandy herself. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have any and everything you could need!! Her personal touches and thoughtfulness make the experience phenomenal!! Her home is one not to be missed and is perfect for family gatherings, making memories and sharing moments!! We will most def return again 💖

  • Our stay was great! Squire and Ronda were extremely welcoming and we felt at home immediately! They were so friendly and generous. We had such an amazing time visiting Panacea! I recommend staying here!

    Michael2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazingly beautiful house with a once in a lifetime view of old Fl., trust me as I’ve been in Fl my whole life. What’s better is the immediate kindness and friendliness of Squire and Rhonda. Wonderful people. I wholeheartedly recommend their loving home.

    Edward2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • With plenty of options in the general area, the reviews are what sold us for On the Fly and not only were they spot on our stay exceeded all expectations. We were immediately welcomed not only into their home but also felt like part of the family. Very clean accomodations, great location and a wealth of local knowledge to guide us to places to appreciate the old Florida uniqueness of the area. Can't say enough about the southern hospitality we experienced from the minute we arrived - from an invite to a local gathering, the incredible meals, boat rides and just good company we felt like family. Heartbreaking to have to leave with a storm barreling down knowing what was in store but we know you guys will persevere and look forward to visiting again.

    James2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Squire and Ronda's. A wonderful place to rest and enjoy the offerings of the Forgotten Coast.

    Charles2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome bread! We didn't share meals since we had plans, but it looked like great seafood was prepared for the other guests.

    William2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • "Panacea" look it up and you will see its literal definition is a cure-all. Let there be no mistake, it's exactly that. A place where the rat-race folks of the world dare not venture, where life's troubles and anxieties need not seek. You see, if you really want off the grid and disappear into a world of tranquility, this is where you go. If your idea of a trip to Florida involves fighting traffic into and out of a condominium, slathering on sun screen, carrying a load of plastic and junk down to a crowded beach to bake for hours, or maybe you even enjoy waiting an hour or two to eat dinner at an overpriced super cheesy "seafood" restaurant where you can take endless selfies and post away on social media at how much you like to get away from it all. Spare me, if this is your idea, then don't come to Panacea. Squire and Ronda welcomed me and my kids with open arms and provided everything we could have needed for our 3 day stay. Ronda is a native and can provide you with an abundance of information to help you navigate your way. Squire is a sure fire chef and prepared meals that not only did i expect, but they were incredibly delicious. I have traveled all of the world and used airbnb from Japan all the way to Scandinavia and I would put this in my top 3 stays. Please do yourself a favor, put down your phone for a few days, grab a fishing pole and head to Panacea. You will not want to leave.

    Billy2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • It is a super nice location! Squire and Ronda very hospitable, the first evening we were invited to join them. If you are looking for peace and beautiful views, you are at the right place!

    Petra2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Relaxing getaway... If you're looking for a relaxing weekend that is off the beaten path, On The Fly is where you will find it. There is plenty to do with nearby beaches as well as kayaking, fishing or just lazily tubing down the river. Panacea is a quaint little town where everybody is friendly, no one locks a door and there are no worries. Squire and Ronda are the perfect hosts offering warm, friendly atmosphere, great food and a beautiful setting. This place felt like home away from home!

The house is on a dead end street which abuts a rail trail-perfect for walking and biking. Janice's co-host Julie was amazing-always in touch and responding quickly to any questions or needs. This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature in the backyard too.

  • Janice and her co-host Julie were both kind and compationate. We were traveling to the area to attend a family funeral. The ladies really made us feel welcome and shared their condolences with us. This was our first time renting through airbnb and they made it so easy. We will definately try renting Little Piece of Paradise for our future visits to the area.

  • We were so fortunate to spend our first few nights in Florida in this spot of Paradise!! The neighborhood is very, very quiet, and felt safe! The house is just a gem! We loved the back sun porch, although we could have used a little more sunshine and warmth to enjoy it more often! The house was sparkling clean, the bedding and towels were soft and fresh, and the kitchen was furnished with everything one could possibly need! The location fit our needs perfectly! We had our bikes, and the St Marks to Tallahassee trail is so easily accessed right out the drive! We also had a lovely ride to the St. Marks Lighthouse! Poor planning on my part.....I should have booked Paradise more nights, as there seemed to be so much more to do in the area! I guess we will just have to go back! Also, there was excellent communication!

  • Janice’s place was very clean and nice. The house is easy to find and central to all the activities we usually participate in ie: fish camp and parks and many more. The amenities provided exceeded our expectations. Easy check-in and easy checkout. The neighborhood was laid back and friendly. The screened back porch was a fave. Thanks for having such a neat place available.

    Lynn2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Janice’s comfortable and nicely decorated home is perfectly located for exploring St. Marks Wildlife Refuge and Wakulla Springs as well as other areas along Florida’s panhandle. The kitchen is well equipped, making meal preparations a breeze. We also enjoyed the screened porch. The quiet neighborhood is another great feature.

  • We had a great weekend here and LOVED that we could walk 200 ft to the St Marks -Tally trail. The location of this house is great!

    Jane2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location to explore! The home was very accommodating and the host very helpful in providing information in a prompt manner

    Maureen2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great quiet location close to walking trails and waterfront. House accommodated 6 people well. There is not a ton to do in St. Marks but that was just fine. We wanted some family time enjoying my son as he graduated college. House was comfortable, nice back yard and screened in porch. Stove top was a little tricky to cook on but we did just fine.

  • Awesome place

    Clinton2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with a very nice location. House sites right in the water but understand you can’t see the gulf from the house. You can however see the bay (so to speak) as it sits right in front of the home. My family and I wanted a nice and quiet getaway and we got just that with this home. No tourist and completely away from the disturbing and fussy city streets. Bring food unless you prefer to drive between 10-15 mins for the nearest restaurant or grocery store. Also, gets very very very dark outside home location at night. No street lights here. There is plenty of light on the home (flood lights, below deck lights, porch/deck lights) but no additional lighting around the area (just something to note). We truly enjoyed our stay and the breathtaking sunsets. Home was clean and well supplied with kitchen supplies. Home also came with bikes and kayaks as well.

  • The place was perfect for a wedding venue nearby. Unfortunately we only stayed 1 day and could have stayed a week to enjoy the amenities. Thank your all the personal touches like the chocolates and champagne. This place was better than expected.

  • The guesthouse was great! Very clean and well stocked. Extra touches were appreciated - Wine and chocolates! Property was beautiful and the animals were very friendly. We sat out by the pool most days and visited the nearby beach. Our host recommended restaurants that were reasonably priced and served delicious food. Thanks for a great stay!

    Kathy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean, centrally located close to many hiking areas, state and national parks. The pool & hot tub were definitely a great bonus. The animals on the property were a delight.

  • FYI- Google Maps takes you right to the house. My brother had a little difficulty using Apple Maps. Place was neat & clean and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Good stay!

  • This was a beautiful place. Sometimes you don't know what to expect when looking for places to stay, well we were extremely happy with the accommodations. The pictures online don't do it justice. The house was very clean, enjoyed playing pool, fully equipped kitchen...etc. Our hostess was very personable. Anytime we come back that way, we will stay here if it's available. We couldn't ask for better.

  • This Airbnb is wonderful if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place. It is located on 5 acres and has a couple of baby goats “kids“ and a pig named Bacon. The owner lives next-door, and she is awesome. This makes it very convenient. The kitchen is fully stocked. I would highly recommend Mark and Andrea’s place!

    Dan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place. Very roomy with several entertainment options Billiard table, dart board and swimming pool. We really enjoyed meeting Andrea and Bacon. Hope we will find time to stay again.

Cozy home with vaulted ceiling, split floor plan, and ceiling fans throughout. Home built in 2005. All kitchen appliances are new. Updates to home are being done on a continual basis. Brand new king size Serta mattress with individually pocketed coils in master bedroom.
The house is close to Florida State, State Government, shopping, beaches, the Gulf of Mexico, Wakulla Springs State Park, the pristine Wakulla River, State & National Forests, world class hunting, fishing, and boating! • This rental property is immaculate. It definitely holds up to the expectations of cleanliness. Bridgette is a wonderful host who responds immediately with any questions. This home is definitely off the beaten path if you are looking for a quiet retreat.

    Barbara2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Bridgette’s place is located in a small, quiet community that was perfect for our trip. We enjoyed exploring the coastline as well as Wakulla Springs. Bring your kayaks, canoes or paddle boards & enjoy the waterways otherwise stop by TNT Hideaway rentals. We had a great time canoeing & Jackie was wonderful in helping me in & out of the canoe as I had a broke foot. We ended each day relaxing in the rocking chairs on the front porch listening to nature. Thank you for recommending Tropical Taverns for seafood & Breakfast Station both have good food, nice portions & price was reasonable. We will definitely keep your home in mind on our next trip to the panhandle.

    Rebecca2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Bridgette’s place was super clean and cozy, but had plenty of room for our family of 6. Bridgette was great with communication and shared tips on local activities in the area. The price was great!

    Jen2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • It is secluded enough to be comfortable but close to many food places and stores. The home was beautiful and very clean!

  • Great location for our needs. Close to Wakulla State Park, Shell Point Beach, Shield's Marina. It feels like you are staying with an old friend. Very welcoming and comfortable place to be. Bridgette sent a message about checkin (early!) and was always responsive. No unreasonable demands about check out.
