A modern, executive apartment in the heart of Westlands with top security. Walking distance from bars, restaurants and supermarkets makes this property an ideal pick for both long and short term stays. 15 mins away from UN headquarters. My place is good for couples/singles on holiday, business travelers, relocating staff looking for a place for a couple of months and families or for those fun loving people looking to discover more
House is decorated with both the short term and long term guests in mind so there are all amenities included, including a large sofa whee guests can stretch out and relax, an office space where you can do your office work. The building including the common areas are secure and kept clean.
The neighborhood is quiet and very clean. It is close to malls, has an elevator, and a big parking space.
  • This is another of my many return visits to Sherry’s home. On this trip I have made two return visits after visiting another region of the country. The hospitality, central location to everything , ambiance and decor, great sized rooms, most comfortable bed, ease of communication and wonderful team work round the clock made this a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Looking forward to coming back again. Thank you Sherry and team.

Only a walk away to any of the local malls and a short Uber ride to downtown. Sherry and her team were also very responsive and helpful🤞🏾

Visit one of the last unspoiled African wild places! Few places in East Africa can match the natural, untouched wilderness setting and natural ecology of Sabache. With exclusive access to nearly 500 square miles of some of the most pristine East African wilderness, guests are ensured a very private and personal safari experience and a rare opportunity to experience the Kenyan wilderness as it once was.
Guests can camp at the summit of Sabache at no additional charge--we provide guides and camping gear, or bring your own!
The camp is surrounded by a network of trails and mountain walks for all abilities. A team of guides is available to help you plan a traditional African sundowner, a picnic breakfast on a mountain ledge at daybreak, or help you explore the mountain trails where you can often see the rare Grevy zebra, gerenuk, oryx, or watch the incredible feat of elephants ascending the mountain trails on their knees and bellies to get to the natural springs at the summit!
  • Ok, where do I begin. I have traveled quite a lot around the world. This is by far, my favorite place. I cannot believe that I found it on Airbnb. This place is a true gem. The location is gorgeous & even more beautiful are the people working here. They went out of their way to make sure we felt safe, comfortable and adventurous at the same time. This camp is located in the middle of two mountains at a nice height & the river runs through in front of the tents. You can hear it all night :) The rooms are very clean and equipped. They have everything you'd need for both short and long term stays. There is so much to do here, you could literally spend a month exploring everything - wildlife, mountain climbing, hiking, learning about the Samburu culture, et al. Emily is very responsive, the communications were so clear and she was in constant touch before, throughout and after our trip. They have vehicles there which you could hire along with a driver to explore the area, they can help you plan your entire trip. We went to all the fanciest restaurants in Nairobi, but the food here the best we had in Kenya, the chef is a star. I am vegan, they made such good food I had to take the recipes from them. A team of 10-15 people work on-site, and every single one of them is such a nice person. They really do go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. I cannot wait to be back. This place has my heart.

  • The most amazing view, looking out of our tent to see the silhouettes of Ololokwe and the head mountain! Some memories: The sounds of the water and frogs, the stars above, the great breakfast in the morning, warm showers, the dinner by the campfire, the flat tyre in the middle of sundowners, playing traditional games while learning javelin-throwing and how to make a fire, Peter's excellent bird-guiding skills.

  • This luxury tent experience was everything I had imagined. The food was amazing. The views were breathtaking!

  • This place is just an amazing spot! You'll get the full lodge experience, for half the price. The staff are great, the food is delicious (even catering for a veggie option), and the views are just stunning. We hiked the mountain and went the Samburu National Park which is close. It's also a great place to relax, watch birds, read a book at the fireplace etc.. I highly recommend this place and we would love to come back sometime.

  • A real window on the life of the Samburu.

  • Sabache Eco Camp is a true gem! Off the beaten track and truly a great Samburu experience. We were only there for two nights, but Dickson and Ian's hospitality was on point! The food was incredible, the rooms are spacious, fell in love with the Mkolee the resuced Gerenuk. A bit far from Samburu National Park, but the road is easy to access so it wasn't a problem for us. Thanks a lot to the team at Sabache! Would loved to come back again and stay longer.

  • WOW Sabache Camp is a true gem nestled behind Mt Ololockwe in northern Kenya! What an amazing camp, with even more amazing staff like Dipa & Dawas. The safari tents are beautifully kept with perfect bathroom ensues attached, food was just right, and the climb up Ololockwe should almost be required its so beautiful! It's about 2 hours up to the first peak, then you hike over to the right where you find the top peaks with one of the most incredible vistas Ive ever seen in Kenya and Ive lived here and traveled around for 6 six years! Thanks again Tina for making this possible via airbnb and to all the staff as well, will definitely be back soon again!

A double bedroom in a quite environment, in our family home, with shared spaces as kitchen, sitting, dining rooms and a nice veranda, from where you can admire the sunset, listen to the sounds of nature or take a rest under a million stars sky. Closed enough to the tarmac main highway (1 km) and to Marsabit town (4 km), where you can find a supermarket, shops, hospitals and churches. Far enough from traffic and noise, to enable you to enjoy the true African savana!
Marsabit is the start point of beautiful adventure safari: Marsabit national park and lake Paradise, explore the surrending vulcanic area and Chalbi or Kaisut desert, lake turkana and or ethiopia border, few km far away. On the trans-african way.
  • Mike & Pat's home is a pearl worth finding when in Marsabit, tucked away in a quiet and safe location. Everything was on point from cleanliness to homeliness. The hosts are very friendly and went out of their way to make my experience absolutely memorable, thank you!

  • This place is a gem! Location is perfect you can have outstanding breakfast enjoying the sight of an incredible landscape, Or drinking a beer, watching the sunset in Samburu park. The tent is clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. I would like to underline the cozyness of the bed. We were greeted by Daniel, who was wonderful and with him we made two amazing and unforgettable safaris days. Also all the staff is super friendly (Francis is an incredible person) and we are super grateful because they helped us in a tough medical situation. In short, I would highly recommend staying here.

    Javi2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great experience in a fine location. A comfortable bed in a tent high above the Ewaso Ngiro River, just a few minutes by boda-boda or car on a well-maintained dirt road from the matatu stop in Archer's Post. Sunbirds, starlings, hornbills, bee-eaters and others in the surrounding bush; spoonbills, herons, egrets and others foraging below; kites and fish eagles above; monitor and agama lizards; baboons across and in the river, same with vervets - although the latter sometimes come to the restaurant/bar as well; squirrels, hyrax. Goat herders across the river, the bells on their animals adding to the chorus. The restaurant/bar is perched directly above the river. Expansive views; on clear days, Mt. Kenya is clearly visible. On clear nights, a memorable sky. You can walk down steep steps to reach the river, walk along and in it, wade in it (I was there before rains which are clearly behind schedule). Ablutions are in side by side outdoor stalls, about a one minute walk from the two tents. The pull chain shower under a tree is true bush; a 20 sec dousing in the very hot afternoon is a luxury. Owners Daniel and Rose have created a wonderful place. On weekends, people come from local towns and as far away as Nairobi to enjoy food and drink. For a tourist, it is great opportunity to meet Kenyans. It is impossible to exaggerate the quality of the staff. From the offering of a cold juice and cold towel on arrival to the warm expressions of friendship at the end of my one week stay, David and Kaliz (both Samburu moran) and chef (another) Daniel were ever-attentive, always asking if all was good. In quieter moments, there were good discussions with them, as well as with Rose. I learned a great deal about life in this part of the world and thank all of you for a truly memorable stay.

    Allen2019-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow such a beautiful little paradise in the middle of Archer’s post! We had a stunning view from our tent over the river and could enjoy sunrise and sunset from there :)! The beds were super comfy and clean. The breakfast that is included is deliciouuuus! Sooo many fruits! The best thing for us was the easy access to the river with so many different spots to swim or chill or to do yoga! Such an important asset in a warm place like archer’s post! Daniel, Rose and all the staff have been amazing to us. Beautiful attention during our whole stay :) asante sana!

Unity Village is an all-women's cultural village located just outside the town of Archer's post and less than a mile from Samburu National Reserve. This is the perfect stay for travelers looking for a bit of adventure, a taste of traditional Samburu culture, and a cross-cultural experience like non-other. Experience a day in the life of Samburu women, sleep in a traditional manyatta (mud/stick hut) and try the local cuisine cooked by the women themselves. We would love to host you!
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a traditional song and dance showcasing the vibrant colors and sounds of Samburu culture. Next, we will take you on a guided tour of the village with the opportunity to go inside a traditional manyatta (mud/stick hut) and see a traditional boma (livestock pen). Accommodations: You will stay in Unity’s newly constructed tourist hut, which is modest, yet comfortable with two bedrooms, a small common area, mosquito nets, curtains for privacy, and desks in each room for storing belongings. While the hut provides a safe and comfortable place for sleeping, you will likely spend most of your time outside under the large shade structure or nearby trees interacting with the women and children and enjoying the sights and sounds of village life. Meals: Breakfast is included in your stay and will be prepared for you by the women in a small cooking hut beside the tourist hut (the detached kitchen ensures minimal smoke enters your sleeping area). The women are also able to cook you lunch and dinner for an additional fee of $5 USD per person per meal. Please let us know your meal requests upon arrival. Feel free to sit back and relax or jump in and learn some traditional cooking techniques. Breakfast typically includes coffee/tea, fruit, and bread and peanut butter. Dinner consist of Rice or Ugali (cornmeal grits), traditional veggies, and beans. Feel free to communicate with the women before your stay or upon arrival about any dietary restrictions or preferences. Bottled drinking water will be available throughout your stay. Activities: You can choose your level of engagement, but optional activities include: Traditional beadwork – Unity village is part of a small-scale beading enterprise and are happy to show off their skills. Learn to make a simple bangle, watch as women bead a traditional collar necklace or have the women set up their market to see a full spread of their work and have the opportunity to purchase artwork and jewelry to remember your visit. Milking goats – Every morning and evening the women make the rounds to milk their 50+ goats. Experience the organized chaos of this task and if you’re adventurous, try some fresh goat’s milk straight from the utter. Collecting water – There is a water tank in the village and nearby borehole for fetching water, but many women still travel to the river daily to fetch water for washing and livestock. Take a morning walk (less than a quarter mile) to the iconic Ewaso River. If you’re lucky, you may get glimpse of a crocodile, baboons, or other wildlife straying from the nearby National Reserve. Evening entertainment – In the evenings, the women and children love to perform songs and dances for guests and welcome any musicians who want to join in. Sit outside under a blanket of stars with a clear view of the Milky way while enjoying the quiet of the village and sounds of distant wildlife.
Unity Village is situated less than a mile from the Samburu National Reserve which is a wildlife hotspot and must see offering unique wildlife viewing opportunities including two endemic species not found elsewhere in Kenya. The nearby town of Archer’s Post offers all your basic amenities including restaurants, vegetable/fruit stands, a small grocery store and bank. Looking for a day trip? Drive down the highway 40 minutes to Sabache Guest Camp and spend a day relaxing in the shadow of Sabache mountain, birding, or taking a guided hike to the top of the butte (~ 5 hours) for a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape.
