  • The Society Hotel is absolutely gorgeous, very welcoming, and the bunk room is the best hostel-style space in which I have ever stayed!! The hotel staff were kind and communicative, and the bed was so comfortable! The bunks even come with curtains and an in-headboard storage box so I could be private and confident that my values were well secured. Thank you so much Society Hotel!!!! 🥰

Surrounded by cherry orchards, Carroll House is an 860 sqft, two bedroom, one bath guesthouse, located in the Mosier hills. The house can comfortably host 6 people(1 queen, 2 twin, 1 full size air mattress). Open concept living space with dine-in kitchen. This space was designed for slow, cozy living. I hope you enjoy every part of your visit, from making local coffee, watching the sun set, stargazing, and making popcorn while you catch up on your favorite show.
For over 100 years Carroll House has sat overlooking the cherry orchards of the Mosier Valley. Built by the original owners of the property George and Emma Carroll, the structure was originally used as an equipment workshop and has since been used as a storage facility, florist shop and commercial kitchen. Completely renovated in 2018, Carroll House at Cherry Hill Farm now looks forward to hosting guests as it begins this new chapter in this beautiful valley.
Carroll House at Cherry Hill Farm is set amongst the cherry orchards of the Mosier Valley. The property has dramatic views across the river to Washington and the Syncline. While the property is only a short two mile drive outside Mosier city limits, it feels much more secluded.
  • Cant say enough good things about this place. Carroll House is set in a beautiful location. It is clean, so well decorated and stocked with everything you need to have a great get away. You wont be disappointed. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderful spot.

  • We had such a wonderful stay. It was clean, spacious, and well equipped for our stay. We loved how much thought was put into this beautiful home, including hangers small enough for our child's coat, a cute little barn toy for her to play with and fresh cut rosemary on the kitchen windowsill. We will absolutely be back.

  • This tiny, but spacious cottage is adorable and the owners have excellent taste in decor. Our trip was a quick getaway for 3 busy moms. We all found the place comfortable and felt very safe. The property is about 8 miles to Hood River, but the drive simple and beautiful. We plan to come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

This beautiful cabin is set by itself in the arm of a bend in the Klickitat River. The sunlight streams in during the day, and no lights intrude at night, making an incomparable star scene, as viewed from the rooftop deck. It's cozy and warm, with a woodstove to keep you company on a chilly night.
Welcome to the beautiful Klickitat River valley, in the heart of canyon country. Nestled between several facets of the Klickitat River's winding walls, you'll feel safe n' snug while away on the river; the mighty gorge winds barely nudge us up here (most days!) We are situated just four miles from highway 14 in Lyle (off easily navigable highway 142), so although there's a bit of an "away from it all" feel while here, you're close to the Columbia River gorge for all manner of activities, as well as a launching pad for Mt. Adams up north, and Mt. Hood down south. Hood River, White Salmon, Bingen, the Dalles..all within a twenty minute drive in whatever direction you choose. Hiking, sailing, kite-boarding and windsurfing, mountain climbing and cycling, fly fishing and kayaking, all these activities and many more abound in the area, and we are just beyond the fabled "rain shadow", so your assurance of sunny weather is more predictable than west of the Cascades (we receive around half the rainfall of Portland). It can get quite warm in late summer in the east gorge, yet this little corner of the river bend is shady and cool. This lovely, freestanding cabin is 384 square feet, fully self-contained, and is very comfortable for either a weekend stay or longer (it is behind the dwelling the landlord resides in). There is a rooftop deck, with overhead lights and a gas grill for your pleasure. It's an informal setting around here, with plenty of space outside to stow fishing poles, windsurfing gear, etc. New queen-size bed (with memory-foam topper), gas oven and stove, window coverings (blinds), well-water pump outside, lots of parking on gravel drive, and a newly-installed air conditioning unit are the general amenities here at the cabin. There are modern conveniences like: microwave oven/coffee machine/television etc, so it's more than a rustic getaway, and the wood stove will heat the space efficiently, and in quick order.
This is a safe, private community of just a few homes. We pride ourselves on having a neighborhood feel in the midst of the Klickitat River canyon.
  • Excellent, friendly communication. Easy to find. Very clean. Great wood burning stove. Wifi worked well. Loved the farm fresh eggs, and proximity to the Klickitat river trail. Great if you are looking for a little place close to natural attractions. Just be aware that the main house is less than 50 feet away and obscures most of the airbnb view.

  • Amazing place, totally worth every penny.

    Antonea2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Roberta and Erik were great hosts. Quick to respond and helpful. The ADU rental space is as advertised and is a perfect launching point for local outdoorsy activities or for laying low and relaxing. Also, Autumn is an amazing time of year to be in this predominantly Oak forest. We hope to be back!

    Michael2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin in the woods vibe. Wood stove is amazing and toasty! Love the floor layout too. I would definitely stay there again.

    Gunes2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect place for a peaceful getaway! The cabin is set in a beautiful spot above the gorgeous Klickitat River, with tons of phenomenal hiking nearby. The house itself is so clean, open, and cozy. We loved cooking and eating by the woodstove. The roof deck looked fantastic - we hope to return in warmer months to take advantage of that space too. Eric was a fantastic host, inviting and generous. Thanks so much!

    Noel2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a single person or couple’s getaway! We loved the location and being so close to many amazing Fall hikes and outdoorsy things to do. Farm fresh eggs were a treat (thank you, Eric!) and we appreciated all the hiking and local info our hosts provided. The cabin is comfortable and has all the things you really need. The rooftop seating area is delightful (maybe just clean off the chairs?) and listening to the river while sitting there, sipping wine, was a favorite pastime for us :)

    Hillary2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin has everything you need for a relaxing and restful escape. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the river and wake up with a cup of coffee on the deck. A great home base for exploring nearby hiking trails and wineries, as well as a cozy place to read a pile of books. We’ll be back!

Fantastic Mt. Adams view, close to Hood River and Mosiers superb road and mountain bike trails, Columbia River, family-friendly activities. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.

No houses or buildings are visible from property) Two private entrances and a large private deck. Kitchnette, private bathroom, and sitting area with streaming tv and Wi-Fi. Kitchenette is equipped with stove/oven, small frig, and microwave. Bathroom has a tub and shower. Very nice hot tub with awesome view of Mt. Adams. Hood River is only about 20 mins to the west on I-84 and the town of The Dalles about the same to the east. The road in front of my property, 7 Mile Hill, is a road bikers dream! There are numerous and beautiful hiking and mtn biking trails very close by. There are also several wine tasting rooms in very close proximity and access to the river, windsurfing, kiting, and SUPing only minutes away in the towns of Mosier and nearby Hood River. • We enjoyed our stay at cynthias studio. It was clean and comfortable with great views and a nice hot tub.

  • Cynthia’s Airbnb is even better in person than we could have expected. The view of Mt Adams from the dining nook is unbeatable and we chose to stay in for our meals so we could sit and enjoy the view. The bed is comfy and the space is very warm and cozy. Collecting fresh eggs for breakfast was such a treat! Cynthia was really kind and great with communication though we never had the chance to meet in person! The location is close to pretty much everything! We will definitely be back

    Kayla2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool space, a nice get away spot. Fresh eggs was a cool amenity.

    Tory2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a cozy weekend retreat at Cynthia’s cabin. Out in the woods with a great view of Mt Adams. Great amenities too. If you like log cabins, this is a must see!

  • A home away from home. Cynthias place had everything we needed and much more. A very relaxing getaway from the city with a hot tub outside and a fully functioning kitchen (what more could you ask for) We can’t wait to come back.

It felt so cozy and had everything we needed, plus more with the amazing amenities offered, such as room/bed mist, plenty of books to read and puzzles to put together, and binoculars to watch wildlife. The place was spotless and we were able to enjoy a quiet weekend in a beautiful location. The view of Mt Adams is AMAZING and the hot tub was my favorite part!

Twin Oaks is an updated doublewide home perched on a basalt knoll with 11 beautiful acres overlooking vineyards and the Columbia River. Views include river and gorge to the west and north. In springtime see waterfalls on the Washington cliffs. Located 8 miles east of Hood River, Twin Oaks is near Mosier on scenic Hwy 30. This is in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, with nearby hiking, biking, watersports, boat ramp, & ski areas. Enjoy the numerous wineries and local microbrews in the area.
Twin Oaks house is 1800 square feet, one-level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. This is an 80's doublewide; but don't worry, shag carpet is gone and the wallpaper is painted over. We are gradually updating and improving it, and it's a very clean and comfortable space now. Let's call it an artsy cabin ambiance with touch of Ikea.
The setting is oak and pine prairie and meadow with basalt outcroppings. The landscape is natural, and we regularly see deer, turkey, coyote, redtail hawk, osprey vulture, bald eagle, and golden eagle. The bird feeders attract red and yellow finch, nuthatch, towhee, chickadee, western bluebird, redwing blackbird, western tanager, sparrow, and junco. Enjoy wildflowers April-May. Two nearby hikes provide more opportunities to connect to nature. Two wineries with tasting rooms are within walking distance.
  • This is an older, modest manufactured home on what might be one of the best properties in the gorge (certainly that I've ever been on). The views and property itself are breathtaking. We found it to be a very functional home, probably the most functional that I've ever stayed in. I found the value to be very high and would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys taking in the scenery of the gorge.

    Micah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! The price is fantastic compared to other places in the area. It was perfect for a small family gathering, including with small kiddos and a dog. The house isn’t fancy but had everything we needed, and the property and the view were outstanding. We will definitely stay here again!

    Kiel & Hazel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great views of the Columbia River and a decent sized lot if you wanted to run around, although it is on a hill. Good value, with cool furniture. The house itself is older and could use some work getting baseboards in and fixing some unfinished parts of the house. With that said, it is a good house for an event, or get-together for adults.

  • Loved everything about this place. My husband and I wanted a place to unwind but that wasn’t too far away from nice bars and restaurants, if we decided to go out one night - and this house was that perfect place. We made a fire one night, were able to bring our puppy with us and the house had everything you need for a great stay. Mike and Laura were very quick to get back to me and gave us good tips for places and wineries to go to. Will be staying here again.

    Karla2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The view was spectacular and the home was cozy. We played board games (so many to choose from!) in the evening and explored and hiked during the day. This was the perfect short getaway for us. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond to our messages and gave suggestions for places to visit while we were there. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room made us wanna stay so much longer with views during the day and a great stereo and games or puzzles at night. I would definitely recommend staying here for the hospitality, views and cozy space.

Studio cabin in the Columbia river gorge located in Mosier Oregon, 10 miles east of Hood River. The cabin is on a small organic garden nestled in the woods.
300 square feet of pure peace and quite. This really is a place to unwind. Bring a book, cook a meal, and relax after a day of playing in the Gorge.
The property is easy driving distance to whatever brings you to the gorge.
  • Perfect for a couple for 2 or 3 nights, this cabin is well equipped and cozy. The bed is excellent and waking up in this bright, nature connected space was a joy. The kitchen is well laid out and had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. We came for early wildflower season and also loved watching birds on the feeder, turkeys that came up to the door, and an exceptionally long viewing of a Pileated Woodpecker on a nearby tree.

    Linda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • This my favorite airbnb so far! It is the most comfortable and perfect spot to stay in the Hood River area. We really enjoyed walking around the area around the cottage, the super comfortable bed and the great shower at the end of a day of hiking. Bay and Mike were great hosts in every way. Thanks for having us!

  • We had such a relaxing time in this home! First, it was a snowy weekend and the owners had shoveled the driveway and salted the steps before we arrived, PLUS they left those tools on-hand so that we could help ourselves should we need them during the weekend. The home offered a stunning view of the gorge both east and west. The furnishings were very comfortable, modern and very nicely decorated and we would love to use the outside amenities in the warmer months. There was prompt communication from the owners and we really felt this was a perfect place to stay. We will be coming here again and again!

  • This is a huge place! Very spacious for larger families/groups. We spent New Year's with close friends in this gorgeous home, and I can't think of a better way to ring in 2020. Kristen is the epitome of hospitality! We will definitely be staying here again!

  • This is a beautiful house with a beautiful view tucked away from the hustle and bustle! The listing says one bedroom, but it is actually three bedrooms and a nook with a bunk-bed. There are lots of rooms and places to sleep! We couldn't get over the gorgeous view. It was like having a nature documentary right outside your window. We saw tons of bald eagles and even golden eagles, which I've never seen before!! The kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace was absolutely heavenly. I highly recommend Kirsten's house!

  • Our family very much enjoyed staying in the beautiful, spacious and comfortable home with a very scenic view and a big, beautiful yard. We loved sitting in the living area with a fire in the fireplace and admiring the fantastic view of the river. We hope to come back in the summer! Also, Kristen was very quick to reply to our questions.

  • This home could not have been a better fit for our long weekend! I will start with - it gets a perfect 10! (In case this gets too lengthy...) As we were driving to the home, I said to my daughter, I hope this is as nice as we think it is... Because sometimes you just never know... We slowly pulled into the driveway and said.... so far so good!... We got out of the car and walked towards the sliding doors and back yard and were amazed! The deck, yard and views were absolutely perfect & wonderful! The river was spectacular! We could not believe how lucky we were! We walked into the home and it just had a great feel to it! The kitchen was perfectly stocked and perfect for preparing dinners in! The bathrooms were perfectly stocked! The linen's perfectly stocked! The master suite awesome! The weather was a bit rainy (surprise?) but that did not stop us from spending the majority of our time outside under the covered deck with the heater! And we saw multiple rainbows, which I am guessing may be fairly common!! We could not have been happier! I REALLY hope we are able to visit again! :o) Thanks very much Kristen!

  • This place is magical. The outdoor space overlooking the Columbia River is absolutely to die for. This is our happy place and so nice to enjoy with other couples! The kitchen is well stocked and the house is designed to give guests privacy. We try to return once a year and are always happy and thankful to be in such a private, quiet setting looking over the Gorge!!! The stars shine brighter in this place. We are truly in “Awe” and it’s hard to come home.

    Janelle2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wow... just wow! We travel to the area regularly to visit my brother at the Oregon Veterans Home in the Dalles, and are always looking for nice places to stay. Kristen’s home is the best so far, and would be very hard to surpass. River front views, fabulous outdoor covered patio, artistically appointed and so very well equipped. I can only hope it’s available next time we visit... fingers crossed!

  • Absolutely amazing spot. Kite boarder’s dream kite in kite out location with a beautiful river view. Plenty of beds and and kitchen supplies for a big group. Kristen was super responsive and accommodating!

    Matt2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kristen’s place was just as described! The views of the gorge were spectacular and we had everything we needed onsite for a lovely little staycation. My family and I had all the necessary kitchen tools and amenities that we didn’t have to leave the property for the entirety of the weekend. One tiny hiccup in the trip was the availability of the ping pong table. It was locked away in the garage which we did not have access to. We contacted the caretaker but they were unavailable and could not bring it out for us. It was not a big deal because we brought other games to entertain us. Other than that, we had an amazing time with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Kristen for sharing your lovely home.

  • We had such a wonderful stay! The place was so cozy, clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed. We really appreciate all the thoughtful touches like extra toothbrushes, snacks, and a variety of tea and coffee. The location was perfect as well! We spent time in Hood River, White Salmon, and hiking in the Gorge and the place was close and easy to get to and from all of our activities. We’ll absolutely be making a return visit!

  • Couldn’t imagine a better stay. It was perfect for our group (two couples and two infants). The owners are very accommodating and responsive and we really respect that. I’ve been to almost 40 Airbnb’s and this will be one I remember for a while for its value.

This little house started life as a woodworking shop. When we outgrew it, we made it into a guest house. It may be imperfect, but it's perfectly adorable. We have a peek of Mt. Hood from the yard and lovely territorial views. At night, you can enjoy the beauty of a Milky Way sky far from city light pollution. Come. Enjoy. Relax. NOTE: I sometimes make exceptions to "No Pets" with conditions. Please ask before booking. No smoking in the house. More important details the "The space" section.
LOCATION Situated on five acres near the main house, in a quiet rural neighborhood, this bright, cheery space is about 10 minutes, (5.5 miles) from White Salmon's charming pubs, restaurants, shops, and grocery. Hood River is about 20 minutes (10 miles) away - just a short hop across the Hood River toll bridge ($2). It's a restful country retreat or a practical home-base for your Gorge adventures or business travel. It's a quiet spot great for relaxing and as a home-base for Gorge adventures, but if you want to be in the thick of things, it's probably not the best choice. LAYOUT The house consists of two large rooms with a connecting open doorway. One side includes the living and dining areas, and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and electric oven and stove. The second side contains the sleeping area, bathroom, and closet/laundry. The sleeping area has a queen bed, small dresser, bedside stand, and curtain which allows for bedroom privacy while maintaining bathroom access for all. There is no door on the bedroom which may not be ideal for those with infants, small children, or snoring issues. The floors are laminate, ceramic, and vinyl composite tile. Please note: We have light-filtering curtains on all of the windows. If you require a dark bedroom during daylight hours, you may be happier with a different place to stay. BEDS Although the space is ideal for 2 people sharing the queen-size bed. A second queen-size bed or two single cot frames with mattresses will be set-up in the dining area upon request. Extra beds are stowed by default. For infants, we have a Pack 'n Play with a full-size removable bassinet. Please let us know your needs before arriving so we can have everything in place for you. (Please also see the layout notes.) NATURE You may hear coyotes at night or doves cooing in the trees. Nature is all around us. If the sight of a daddy-long-legs fills you with fright, best not stay here. PLEASE ASK US! If you want something specific, please ask. We'll do our best to accommodate. We want you to have a stress-free stay. If you arrive and realize that you forgot to make a request, whether for bed set-up, an additional guest, or any other detail, don't hesitate to let us know. Give us an opportunity to be helpful. We like doing that!
HERE This is a rural property with a gravel driveway. No manicured lawns here. We are in an area of 5 to 20-acre forested and grassland lots. It's usually very quiet, but once in a while, you can hear children playing or the occasional radio when someone is entertaining themselves outside. THERE A lot of folks bike our county roads, though many of the local roads don't have much of a shoulder. There are several area trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. WE CARE We hope you choose to stay here because you enjoy being out in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of town. We want you to enjoy the location as much as we do. If you're unsure about distance or driving time to a specific place or event, ask us. We'll gladly provide information.
  • Katie is an AMAZING host. You feel like home and well cared for. The little house on the hill is very clean and she has thought of everything in regards to things you may need during your stay. Cute little getaway, and not far at all from things like hood river etc. Plus you get to enjoy the country as well as the gorgeous stars at night! Well priced and such a great host!

    Michelle2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space!! Katie was quick with information and The Little House had everything I needed! Please take their note about the location being outside of White Salmon serious! My friend’s wedding weekend was in Hood River and it was a solid 30 minutes due to the winding roads...BUT....it was worth it to see the beautiful scenery and all of the deer each morning. :)

    Nicole2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Katie's space was terrific. Clean, spacious, useful, and with great views, too. Everything was seamless and her attention to detail made for a great stay.

    Kayla2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s place was lovely, great spacey rooms, washer and dryer that was so helpful after being on the road for over a week! Katie was a lovely lady, very hospitable. The views were lovely and the night sky was fantastic for an amateur stargazer! Downtown Hood River is a must see with plenty of shops and individual boutiques. It’s a very arty town with Iots of galleries!

  • Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! It was so nice to have so much space in our own building. The kitchen was very well equipped, though we didn't use it except for the wine opener. Beautiful location and an easy place to stay!

    Mackenzie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • After leaving this place, drive east and down to river, you will find a stunning view of Gorge!

    Xuewei2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I booked 5 nights and loved it. This is a great getaway to escape and enjoy the rural community. It's about 10 minutes from down town White Salmon and and a little longer to down town Hood River. We enjoyed the place and easily visited town each day. For coffee lovers like us she had a very nice selection and a good coffee maker. The place was very clean and everything was well marked and labeled for us. She also had Netflix and Amazon prime which is a step up from a hotel. Katie was a great host and responded to any request we had very soon.

A quite cabin in the woods. This great getaway is 2 miles from downtown white salmon nestled on 28 acres near hiking and biking trails. The owners live on the property as Well with horses and pets. The cabin is nearby the main house but still private. The cabin has a full kitchen a sitting area with wood stove and bathroom downstairs. A pull out bed downstairs and a queen upstairs. The stairs can be a challenge they are steep and require agility. So come stay and play!
Cute rustic cabin in the trees Full kitchen.sitting room and full bath. A truly cabin feel.
We’re 2 miles from town but it feels remote no neighbors nearby so it’s quite
  • Cutest cabin in the woods outside an a sweet mountain town. It has everything you need and perfect for an out of town getaway.

  • Was the perfect spot for a woodsy getaway close enough to drive into Mt. Hood National Forest. Very well stocked kitchen tools and a Brita. The local grocery store is a short drive away to stock up. Also took advantage of some Pixar DVD's and the foam roller. Could not stop looking out the windows at the beautiful trees and would recommend this cabin to anyone willing to tackle the stairs. :)

Enjoy a cozy getaway with your own private entrance in the beautiful town of White Salmon. One block from the main road where you can discover the restaurants, supermarket, library, Everbody's Brewery, a delicious bakery and 4 minute drive to the bridge to Hood River. White Salmon is a small town up a short hill from the bridge to Hood River. The edges of the town overlook the iconic Columbia River Gorge. This cozy one bedroom guest unit is very clean, newly built and decorated with charm.
This little gem is one block south of the main street in White Salmon, Jewitt Blvd. This is a fully equipped newly renovated guest unit. The walls have been soundproofed after 2/19/2020 and completely sealed off from any noise that may be coming from next door. Inside you have a very comfortable setting with a vintage and modern decor. It is so cozy! It is bigger than the photos look. I’ve arranged it to make it feel comfortable for 2 people. There is a memory foam bed, a brand new bathroom with a walk-in shower, a brand new full kitchen, a large walk in closet to hang and store all of your belongings, wifi, television, a cozy sofa with a large ottoman to rest your feet, a dining table you can eat up to 4 people and/or use as a work space, beautiful views, privacy and amenities to make you feel right at home. It is are walking distance to delicious restaurants (please read The Guidebook on the app with recommendations for where to eat), a famous brew pub "Everybody's", the yummy White Salmon Bakery, a beautiful yoga and meditation studio, White Salmon library, and a Harvest Market where you can buy all your goodies if you want to stay in and make a home cooked meal in our full kitchen. All walking distance. This quaint little town is famous for the beautiful scenery, wind and kite surfing, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, seasonal mushroom hunting and if you like to explore we have so many maps, books and suggestions for you to dive into. There is a 4 minute drive to the bridge connecting Hood River and White Salmon. This is a total treat because Hood River is a fun little town as well. It has great shopping, winter snow in Mt. Hood, yummy restaurants and coffee shops, a movie theatre and no sales tax!! However, there is a toll bridge that is $2 each way. They only accept cash so be sure to remember to have cash with you if you plan on traveling to and from Hood River. If you cross at The Dalles there is no toll. If you are here for an extended stay, it is worth it to get "BreezeBy" for $1 each way. We welcome dogs, please let me know prior to your stay. We take great pride in being extra clean for future guests. There is a fee of $25 per dog to clean the any pet hairs and dander that I will request through Air B&B once you book. 🐾 There is a main house on the same property as the guest unit. It has it’s own separate entrance and pathway. It is unlikely that you will hear or cross paths.
This home is literally steps from the market, brewery, wine bar, yoga, bakery, restaurants, and the library! We are 4.5 miles to Syncline Trail head, and 38 miles to Mt Hood. If you like to hike and explore we have maps, books and suggestions galore! Check out the Top 100 things to do in White Salmon.
  • It was the perfect cozy home. With cute details, comfortable amenities and all the things you would need. We will happily come back for many relaxing getaways. Kaycee did a fantastic job of letting us know where to go and also made the check-in process very simple and straightforward.

  • Great little spot in White Salmon! The apartment is clean and has everything you need for a night in or a place to crash after exploring the Gorge. Everything in White Salmon is very close-by and the view of Mt Hood was amazing!

  • Kaycee’s home was clean, cozy, and in a perfect spot. Walking distance to some cool places in White Salmon, and just a short drive to Hood River. I would definitely recommend staying in Kaycee’s home!

  • A nice new cottage a short walk from White Salmon’s cool downtown stores & eateries. The small, but complete kitchen / living room allowed us to cook and host four for a meal. Back bedroom with full closet held my wife and I for five days, although at our age we’re a little tight in a double bed. Very nice bathroom.

    Warren2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little place! It was cozy, but actually more spacious than we expected. It's fully equipped and comfy for two. We enjoyed being able to walk to the different restaurants & shops nearby. I loved the local yoga studio as well! The location and value can't be beat, plus it's dog friendly! Great communication from the host... she was very helpful. Noisy neighbors on the other side of the house were the only downside... but upcoming soundproofing should help that. Highly recommended, and we'll plan to return for another gorge getaway. Thanks!

    Erin2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful weekend in White Salmon/Hood River in Kaycee’s place. It is definitely larger than in the pictures, and was VERY comfortable with two of us + a large dog. It’s a quick walk to all the bars/restaurants in White Salmon, a quick drive to Bingen, and about 10-15 minutes to Hood River (bring cash for the toll bridge though!) Kaycee recommended wonderful spots in town and even allowed a late checkout! We couldn’t have been more grateful. One thing to note: this is a guest house, attached to the family’s main house and it’s not sound proof. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper :)

This house is perched above the Columbia River and is only a short drive from a popular put in for wind surfers. The view here is amazing! It's very secluded but is only three miles from town. The apartment has granite counter tops and beautiful cabinets, new carpets. Situated as a walk out basement apartment, it has it's own deck and yard. In winter there is a chance for snow. Some years we get a lot of snow. It is a good idea to use a four wheel drive if available only needed in the winter.
There is probably no better view of the Columbia River than here. The house is about 1100 feet above the river and the town of Mosier which gives great views of everything below. The rental space is comfortable and quiet.
It’s very quiet and very beautiful up here.
  • Great place, quiet and away from it all. But a short drive to so many amenities. We enjoyed it here and will stay again for sure.

Cozy up with blankets and pillows in the living room during the winter, or slide open the glass doors to the Mount Adam's view deck and bring the outside in during the summer.
With only a ten minute drive to White Salmon, and a fifteen minute drive to Hood River, you can experience world class dining, breweries, wineries, and coffee shops as well as all of the outdoor recreation the Columbia Gorge has to offer including mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding, wind surfing, kite boarding, white water rafting and kayaking, fishing, hiking, waterfalls, and more. We are on a private road, but we do have neighbors close by, so we appreciate your respect for them. Quiet hours start at 10pm. Even though we are very secluded, sound still travels down the road.
  • We were instantly charmed by The Klickitat Treehouse! Taryn and Colin have crafted a truly unique experience. To live within and surrounded by the trees is pure magic. We fell asleep to the sounds of the forest and woke to a picturesque view of Mt. Adams out our window. We were happy to spend the entire day cozied up inside, admiring the thoughtfully designed home. Stylish simplicity with the emphasis of nature in mind. The kitchen is curated and equipped with everything you need to cook a great dinner. The open interiors capture the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding forest. Quick communication, clear instructions and great proximity to White Salmon and Hood River. Highly recommend, we will be back!

View of columbia river gorge from living area, kitchen and bathroom. Open with high ceilings and eclectic collection of furniture and art. On curb of historic highway 30. Hood River is 6 miles by bike on carfree bike route.
    Like new kitchen with wood floors, stone counter, and modern bathroom. Heated pool with separate spa tub, small gym with a basic setup for a workout. Close to kayaking, windsurfing, mountain and street biking, kite surfing, hiking, and summer and winter activities. (Pool is quite cold after Oct 1, but the spa and gym are still open}
Mosier is a small orchard town with a couple of places to eat and drink. Rack and Cloth makes hard cider and offers tasty light foods and some local produce. There is also a local bar nearby. A convenience store offers basics. Hood river is a few minutes by car.
  • Lanny and Susana’s place has an incredible view of the Columbia River and the Washington side. Breathtaking. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a highway and train activity. However, it did not deter our enjoyment and was not noisy. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

    Stephanie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was very clean and the view is wonderful. You must remember that most views of the Columbia often come with some highway noise and train noise. The apartment was quiet considering. The stereo was a great touch and it was nice to not have a TV compete with the view in the main living area. We had a great time and the apartment is beautiful.

  • Loved it. Food at MoCo was incredible and the view was great. Unit was surprisingly quiet even though it was right on train line. Would stay again!

Our house is located at the top of dock road. It is just a few minutes from the Hood River Bridge with a lovely view of Oregon just across the way. Walking distance to downtown White Salmon with restaurants, bars, microbrews, post office, grocery store, and bakery. Very relaxed house with great neighbors, a beautiful yard, and a private deck with partial river views and a hot tub in the back yard.
it's a cute cozy little home with a spacious living room and kitchen, and a large front and backyard to play games or have a bbq or unwind in the hot tub after a long day of hiking.
beautiful views winding roads , but still near a little town to go out for dinner or drinks!
  • The location is Bryan’s Airbnb was perfect! We loved the town of White Salmon and all it had to offer. The grocery store was a 10 minute walk and had lots to offer. Everybody’s Brewery was about a 10 minute walk as well. The house itself was perfect for our family of 4. There was plenty of space and the kitchen had plenty of cookware and dishes to use for meals. The hot tub was especially inviting after a day of hiking in Hood River. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Bryan's place is very cozy and comfortable. The hot tub is so nice after a long day of hiking and outdoor activity. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is really nice for having a group over for dinner. Bryan was very responsive and checked in during the stay to see if there was anything else needed. Check in and check out was simple and the price was very reasonable. We will be back!

    Kathryn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Bryans place was awesome! It gets really lovely light and has tons of windows. We watched Indiana Jones through the Netflix, stayed super warm by the fireplace and relaxed our old bones in the hot tub. Walking distance to food, booze and stargazing. 10/10 would stay here again.

    Tami2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The proximity to Mt. Hood was perfect for our ski weekend, and we loved being able to walk to the main area of White Salmon for dinner each night. The small gas fireplace in the living room makes this home feel quite cozy after a day out in the snow. Brian was a perfect host too.

    Corey2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is the classic 3 bed / 1 bath White Salmon home...not new, but comfortable. The front is all kitchen and living area, great for cooking and small groups of friends. The back has all 3 bedrooms with firm foam type mattresses. Bathroom has what you need. Hot tub out back requires a walk around the house, but no big deal. Easy to find at top of Dock Road, easy walk to downtown as all of WS’s stores / eateries.

The City of Mosier is a small community of 430 people on the south bank of the Columbia River an hour east of Portland, Oregon. It has its roots in the fruit orchard industry. There is one main dinning choice in Mosier - Mosier Company (MoCo). There is also Mosier Market for essentials. Mosier is connected by the pedestrian and bicycles only historic Hwy. 30 to the world famous windsurfing town of Hood River, 7 miles to the West. The Historic Columbia River Highway winds along the Columbia basalt cliffs to outstanding gorge views. In the spring, acres of breathtaking wildflowers blanket the hills. Hiking, biking, and bird watching are favorite recreational activities. Wineries and local orchards are scattered throughout the greater Mosier Valley. Mosier is located in a transitional weather zone between the moist, heavily-forested west side of the Cascades and the drier bunch grass prairies of the arid central Oregon desert region. You might notice this when you look out the windows and see the transition from trees to sagebrush covered hillsides. The climate is also different to Portland, typically Mosier gets 30-45 more sunshine days per year, less rain, and the average temperature is warmer in summer months by 10-15 degrees and colder by the same in winter months.

Cutest little two bedroom cottage, plus studio with sofa bed. River views from deck and close to river and Mt Hood ski areas (35 minute drive.) Located in Bingen, a small town next to White Salmon and across from Hood River. Plenty of parking out front, private fully fenced and professionally landscaped yard. Quiet, older long-term neighbors on both sides. World-class hiking, biking, skiing and dining within minutes but away from bustle of Hood River ( a ten minute drive across the River.)
This is a charming cottage built in the 1920s that is located in the upper part of the small town of Bingen WA. Living room, two bedrooms, great galley kitchen, bath with original clawfoot tub and great shower, plus an oversized deck, studio, and plenty of storage and washer/dryer in large basement. There are several terraces and a pergola in the yard as well.
Bingen was built as a town for the workers at the local SDS lumber mill, which is still in operation. Most homes date from the early part of the 20th century and the town is laid out on a typical western grid system. The population is right around 1,000 folks, so there is a very friendly, small-town vibe.
  • Lee's cottage is the perfect spot to stay! All of the amenities you could need, great location, beautiful views, and quick responses. We will definitely stay here again.

A peaceful little cottage for adults only and no pets ( due to server allergies to animals ) it's nestled among four old growth oak trees. We live at the edge of a diverse little town, surrounded by a multitude of different styles of homes. There are beautiful pines and fur trees that have walking trails for your enjoyment. Our cabin is within walking distance to nearby shopping, eating, hiking/biking trails. Minutes from downtown White Salmon, WA and a ten minute drive to Hood River, OR.
There is currently no running water in the cabin but there is a (clean) outhouse provided as well as 2 hand washing stations outside. There is a 5-gallon water dispenser inside the cottage that provides both hot and cold drinking water. For cooking needs there is a mini fridge, hot plates, mini oven, cooking supplies and utensils, dishware, a bbq that sit on the deck. etc. All bedding is provided for the loft bedroom and the downstairs pullout sofa. A set of barn doors opens to a peaceful outdoor sitting area which includes a privacy fence and a gas fire pit.
We are setting at the end of a street that has tall pine trees, in a community that is very diverse, and made up of many families who live in many different types of homes. We are not surounded by mansions, but it is our town, and our home and a friendly place to visit. Come with an open mind and a seance of adventure and you'll find it here. There are many outdoor adventures, and areas of interest to be discovered during your stay in The Columbia River Gorge, "come and find some fun!. "
  • Veda is an amazing hostess, who went out of her way to take care of our needs. She responded quickly and went above and beyond! I cannot reccomend her place enough. • Cosy little place walking distance from the centre of White Salmon

    Andy2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • 4 Oaks tiny house was just what I needed for a quick solo mtn bike getaway. Veda is a very thoughtful host. It was surprisingly quiet and private, with the neighbors dogs being my only audible neighbors. The mattress was comfy and the house was furnished with everything I needed, including earplugs, coffee and hot water. I had ok-to-fair 3G cell service on Tmobile. The port-a-potty was clean and well maintained, even if it was not my favorite part when nature called at 4 AM. Veda was a great host.

    Lindsay & Merritt2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Vedas place is adorable! I will disclose that I totally missed the fact that there wasn’t a shower included bathroom in the space, but in spite of that I still loved our stay! Super cute tiny house layout, with a loft bed! Veda was super helpful with tourist attraction suggestions and was incredibly prompt with communications. The value for her spot will bring us back again if ever we find ourselves visiting white salmon!

    Jade Tjaley2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Veda was amazingly helpful, generous and communicative throughout our entire long-weekend trip over Labor Day. She was flexible with check-in hours, personally welcomed us to her property, and even let us use utilities on her property that were unavailable in the tiny home. Great little cabin for a great value tucked away in White Salmon.

We are located in a commercial zone, which means you can easily walk to Everybody's Brewery, restaurants, bakery, pharmacy, etc. However, this also means that we are on the main street that runs through downtown White Salmon. White Salmon is a tiny town, but there is thru-traffic, and you will hear the traffic in the studio, especially on weekday mornings for the work bustle (but it does quiet down in the evenings). Please understand this before you book the studio, as we want happy guests! The bridge that connects Hood River and White Salmon is a toll bridge, which is $2 (Bridge of the Gods is a toll bridge as well). Be sure to remember to have cash in your car if you plan on exploring both areas. If you cross at The Dalles (or come from the WA side via Vancouver WA), there is no toll. If you are here for an extended stay, it is worth it to get "BreezeBy" for $1 each way. No smoking in the home, but you are welcome to smoke on your private deck outside accessible from the kitchen. We recycle! There is a recycling bin in the kitchen closet with instructions on what gets recycled. Fair-trade shampoo, conditioner, body soap and lotion provided. White Salmon Studio is a proud member of the Mt Adams Chamber of Commerce and has a Short-Term Rental Permit with the City of White Salmon - License #2020-011. Your taxes are remitted automatically by Airbnb to the State of Washington.
The location is perfect for us! We love that we can walk to a great brewery, a couple of really good restaurants, an amazing bakery and a pretty dang good grocery store in one direction. And then walking behind our home you will find a sweet neighborhood with cottages, bungalows and anything in-between! You will find a basketball hoop on the street, deer meandering around, happy people chilling out, majestic oak trees looking over everyone, the most incredible view of Mt Hood that doesn't even look real and even our own little White Salmon mountain views too!
  • Comfy, well-appointed studio in convenient location. We really enjoyed our stay here. Just the briefest of walks to restaurants and services in town, and everything you need if you want to stay in and cook for yourself. We particularly enjoyed hanging out in the morning, drinking local tea and coffee that the host provided. The extra amenities made this studio a standout.

  • A great cozy stay in a beautiful, large studio! Close to downtown white Salmon and easy to get to everything around there. The hosts had lots of advice on what to do and thoughtful touches in the apartment to make our stay perfect. I can't wait to come back when I'm NOT pregnant and take advantage of all the wine and beer in the area :) really easy to get to and check in, parking was right in front, everything was clean and tasteful.

  • Such a cute and well-designed and decorated studio! Impeccably clean as well. This place was perfect for our weekend exploring the White Salmon area. We loved being able to walk to the local restaurants. Only downside is that the walls are thin so do expect some outside noise. Other than that, this place is amazing. The hosts are so great and provide a guidebook with plenty of suggestions for eateries and activities.

  • The Studio was a lovely place to stay! The space was very cute inside and it seemed like Julie & Rob had thought of everything we might need! We loved walking to the local restaurants and store, and there were a lot of activities recommended which would make an impromptu stay fun! Thanks for having us!

  • We had such a relaxing staycation here. Would come again! The small touches like local coffee made our stay very nice. This is close to a major road so expect traffic noise in the morning. It didn’t bother us too much and being walking distance to Everybody’s Brewing was worth it.

  • Loved staying here so much, I've extended my stay for many more months. Not only is it in a great location (you can see the Columbia from the window) the house was recently remodeled, so the inside is brand new. Matt is extremely friendly and communicative and went out of his way to make my stay comfortable. They also supplied all the amenities you can want and more! I stayed here by myself but had plenty of room for several guests. Highly recommended!

  • Really nice place, with fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces. The spa is great and very clean.

  • Really cool space. Extremely clean, workers are super helpful. Loved this place and would definitely stay again . Only important thing to note is it was pretty loud. I’m a heavy sleeper and the do provide earplugs (which is cool) but expect some noise. Honestly though, the coolness factor outweighs the fact that it was loud. Great place, worth the stay.

  • We really enjoyed this quick getaway from Portland. The Hotel was designed so well and we loved the spa. We will be back!

  • Awesome space with incredible spa

  • The Society Hotel is the perfect out of town getaway. It’s close to hiking, a great GF bakery and to charming towns like White Salmon and Hood River. We found the staff very nice and accommodating, the spa restorative and the rooms cozy. If there were a few pet friendly rooms it would definitely be a regular go-to.

    Kara2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • You will love it here! There are so many thoughtful extras. We especially loved the amazing spa, great food & drink & really cool old gym/game room. The staff were all warm. lovely folks. We will definitely stay again.

  • Simple, modern and organic space. No TV...which was an added bonus for me. Great food at the on sight cafe. Comfortable.

  • We loved it here. The cold plunge pool was something special that most hotels don’t have!

  • Wonderful experience. Beautiful hotel, elegantly put together, stunning contemporary building housing the cabins and soaking pools. Nice that they provided a full bar and espresso in the mornings. Location is perfect and the whole feel of the place is cozy and incredibly inviting. We will be back.

Our signature minimalist style meets the great outdoors... like camp for grownups! Surrounded by beautiful mountains, blocks from the Columbia River, and steps away from our modern hydrotherapy saltwater pools and sauna, our cabins are the perfect getaway from the bustle of the city. Drink a warm cup of coffee on your private patio, or enjoy some good company around one of our gas fire pits. Our lobby and our spa both offer food, drinks and beer/wine/cocktails daily.
The Society Hotel Bingen was once the Bingen School, and is nestled up against Burdoin Mountain. We are in the middle of a residential neighborhood, just minutes to downtown Bingen - a small town with the spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Stop by Huck Truck during the week, or Antiques and Oddities anytime. And Dr Rosco's Holistic Bike Repair can help you with any repairs you might need... Check out Washington's oldest dispensary just two blocks away as well, Margie's Pot Shop.
  • Terrific tubs and nicely located!

  • Clean, stylish and with great amenities! Perfect spot to get away for a night, or two or three! My only regret was needing to leave earlier than planned. Will definitely be back.

    Heather2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, modern cabin space nestled into the dramatic cliffside of the Columbia River—well worth it!

    Presence2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cool well thought out facilities with hipster vibe . Not just stylish but lots to do . A great spa and old gymnasium kept our family busy . Nice view in some directions and town is still in a transitional state so not much in terms of walking or exploring by foot . But good restaurants a few minute away by car in White Salmon and Hood River. Easy access to tons of activities in gorge or Mt Hood

  • This place was just what we needed to unwind for a few days after the holidays. The spa/bathhouse was great, and we spent time there every day. The only downside was proximity to the trains, which went by a few times each night. I slept through this, but my husband appreciated having the earplugs that were provided by the hotel. Despite this, we loved our stay and will definitely stay here again!

Get a bird's-eye view of the Gorge on your way up, and enjoy your own private suit of rooms in this unique and spacious custom home that was lovingly built. Beautiful grounds, tranquility and nature all around ensure a retreat-like experience.
The Columbia Hilltop Retreat offers a private suite of rooms, located 2100 ft. above the Columbia River on the Washington side. The first picture above shows the general location of the house, and is about a half mile walk out the door. The rental suite is 1000 sq ft of private living space on the first floor of the house. This property is a true retreat, being about 20-25 minutes from either town, and is a perfect contrast to a long day of driving or playing in town. The air is fresh and it is quiet, being high above the freeways and traintracks. The rental area is organized for 2 guests. (extra guests must be approved ) The space is clean, roomy, and bright with high ceilings, in-floor heat for comfort in winter and a shower with endless hot water. Thick walls keep it not only cool in summer but also quiet and never drafty. You have a bedroom with a queen bed, eating area, (with coffee, tea, a mini fridge, and microwave) a TV and lounge area, a library space, an extra sitting room with a fold out couch for extra sleeping, and your own bathroom. For food you have a microwave, small fridge, and some breakfast basics are provided. It is not a fully equipped cooking rental but geared rather to provide for your smaller food needs. If you are planning on preparing lots of meals in, this might not be the best fit for you. The grounds close to the house are grassy and your front lawn is landscaped to be a little oasis. There are chairs and a covered front porch for you to sit on and enjoy some of the peace that is all around. You can also explore the rest of the two acres of mowed field and curated trees or go for a nature walk right from the door. Off the driveway is great road biking, mountain biking, road running, trail running, hiking and world class paragliding. TIP...Remember the distance to town when organizing your schedule. You can arrange your check in for any time after 5:00 p.m. Exceptions for earlier check-ins can usually be accommodated if you have a tricky schedule. You will want to ask before booking by sending an inquiry, though, just to make certain that it's possible on the day you are requesting. Directions: There are two ways of getting here. One option is straight up Courtney Rd., which quickly and dramatically climbs the hillside to the top of Burdoin Mt. If you don't mind the twists and turns and a few miles of primitive, gravel road near the top, I recommend it in good weather for ease of finding the house as well as the sheer beauty of the drive. You simply check the odometer and go exactly 5.25 miles and turn left into the driveway. You can see the house from the road, so don't worry or overthink it. As long as you stay on Courtney and DO NOT use GPS, you'll be fine. Tip; when the road turns back to pavement at the very top, you go just 1/10th of a mile down and turn left into the shared driveway. ( It says 527 and also 525.) The other way is up from White Salmon which is less dramatic but regular, paved road all the way. It is kept plowed in winter, as well. (There is one view up top that is spectacular.) Follow: Jewett Blvd. to N.Main, then turn right onto Snowden. Then from Snowden, right onto Bates for 1 mile, then right onto Tunnel (it merges eventually with Bristol but ignore the name change, just go straight through) Turn right on Courtney and go 7/10 mile to the driveway on your right, turn in. The drive takes 15 to 20 minutes from White Salmon.
The Columbia Rim Estates has some full time residents and some vacation homes. Most of the homes are pretty spread apart and the feeling is so peaceful and relaxed that you really feel like you are away from it all.
  • Christina was a wonderful host. Beautiful place, lightning fast communication, and lots of interesting books. We loved the french press and fresh bananas. Would absolutely recommend a stay here. Thank you!

  • I loved staying here. The property is beautiful and it’s only a short drive from White Salmon and Hood River. The inside is very stylish and comfortable.

    Robert2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I stayed one night and found Christina to be a gracious host with a lovely home, sparkling clean with many extra touches to make guests feel welcome. It is such a beautiful, quiet setting. As we arrived we were treated with a glimpse of a deer family as they sprinted from the driveway. After being greeted by Christina, she recommended that we take a walk to a viewing point of the Columbia Gorge. We arrived in time to take in an amazing 180 degree view of the Gorge just as the sun was setting......Awesome!! In the evening we were outside watching the stars come out! I look forward to a repeat visit! Thank you, Christina!

  • This house is located in a very unique place high above the Columbia Gorge with an incredible view. It is definitely worth the drive up to stay at this remote location! Lots of room to spread out here and relax! plus a nice place to sit and enjoy the outdoors! Bring a bottle of wine and some cheese and you will have a great get away! Chris also provided us some nice breakfast options! We highly recommend this place!
