This little cottage is a nice place to get away from town and enjoy some quiet time.

The accommodations are clean, and as described. They are rather spartan.

My stay in Cynthia's cottage was absolutely sweet. She communicated with me flawlessly. We arrived and we loved the place right away. The cottage was lovely and surrounded by nature. Cynthia and her husband were also super cool and sweet. I wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay at her place in the future. Cynthia, thank you for everything, we truly enjoyed our stay with you!

An interesting experience, in a tranquil setting. However, not a venue for hot weather and not a place we would return to. A few notes from our trip: It was 105 degrees when we arrived, and it was just as hot inside as out. All of the windows were open, and many fans were provided. HOWEVER, the listing's note on "air conditioning" was inaccurate. A fan that took water (a gallon of water was provided) was in the room, but the room was unbearable when we arrived and remained hot until after we went to sleep and nature cooled down the area. The sliding door to the room was installed with the handle backwards, so the door did not shut. Ever. When we reached out to the host about this, they stated that there was a strap to close the door when we were inside but they were aware of the backwards construction of the door. No key was offered, even though a key was mentioned when we checked in. A key to the main house was left (why? Main house was not part of our rental) but there was no way to lock the room with our items inside it. We chose to leave our items and hoped that they would not disappear. Fortunately, they did not. The general neighborhood was tranquil and quiet at night. We tried to walk a mile back to the room from our other evening activity and would not recommend it -- people speed on the main road through town and it was not safe. The room's construction was sound but the items inside all felt like they had been assembled from "free to a good home" items left on the side of the road. The bed was uncomfortable and I recommend you bring your own pillows. Even worse, every time myself or my partner moved at night the bed creaked so badly that I had trouble sleeping. For the price, it was fine, if it had been more expensive I would have tried to cancel the reservation and find a place that was air conditioned. It was definitely not an easy stay, however, and I would not stay there again. A few things that might make this location better: * I would rather have slept on a box spring/mattress set on the ground than the bed as provided. * The door needs to lock! If you state a key is provided, make it the key to the room, not a key to a house that you aren't given access to. It is even more uncomfortable to not be able to close the door. * Pillows should be provided that aren't paper thin. One per person is tough enough, but to have them the thickness of a person's hand is worse. * Please do not quote that there is air conditioning, if there is not. This was a rough and misleading detail.

Look no further. Book it! This is by far our most favorite airbnb rental so far. Peaceful, romantic and gracious hosts. If we return to Sacramento area we will for sure return! Loved it.

Olia and her husband were very welcoming and kind. I had an immediate connection with them. Very cute couple!

The guest house is decorated so beautifully and the backyard is gorgeous too! Olia thought of every down to q-tips and make-up removers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Olia's place was fantastic--location is quiet and safe. The cottage has everything you need and Olia was available for other requests. I stayed here while doing an intensive 2-day training and it was perfect. I got to swim and jump in the jacuzzi after a long day and then tuck myself in bed for a great sleep!

Olia was extremely gracious and welcoming. She was very prompt in responding to us and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The place was extremely well kept with attention to details that made it very ascetically appealing. We loved the design elements and thoughtfulness which included breakfast snacks and coffee. In addition she and her husband own Skool, a wonderful restaurant in San Francisco and Sacramento and we were invited to go there and received a 15% discount and treated like royalty. All in all we could not have been more satisfied. Our only regret was that the weather was too cool to use their lovely pool or barbecue on the patio.

Very nice place and friendly host. We stayed for 7 days. Everything is clean and well prepared. Comfortable and quiet environment. High privacy. Olia also tried to provide us the best value amenities, they are amazing during both summer and winter. Olia is very helpful and would provide detail information to our enquiries prior to our trip and during our stay. These was a small issue and we got instant reply from her and things got settled in a few minutes. We would definitely recommend this nice place to friends.

Olia'a rental space is immaculate and I felt so welcomed. She went out of her way to make me and my dogs feel comfortable. The rental itself is lovely and the outdoor space feels like a resort. I would absolutely stay here again.

Olia was gracious in accommodating us. I could really relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape of her home. She even gave us a really nice bottle of wine because the wifi was down for a bit. Her easy going personality took stress off of us. The room was so comfortable and clean. I'll definitely be booking again.

This was a perfect place for my daughter and me for the week we were in Sacramento! A clean, airy apartment with a super comfy bed!! Four pools to chose from and a large gym with lots of aerobic machines & weights. Staff was amazingly helpful. The apartment has just gone on AirBnb so was missing a few items in the kitchen. Within 40 minute of mentioning this, 3 people showed up at the door, carrying Target bags with everything one could need in the kitchen! So good, that we've already booked 2 more weeks. A great place!

Another wonderful stay at the Secret Oasis! The apartment is so great, with its well stocked kitchen. Very clean and comfortable. Nina and Steven are great hosts. This time, I made use of the terrific Club House - a pool table, movies, coffee and very good wifi. Thank you!

Thanks Hamid for a wonderful stay. Hamid was very helpful and answered all of my questions leading to my stay at this location. My friends and I spent July 4th hanging and barbecuing at the backyard. This location is spacious and our party of 7 did not feel crowded at all. I highly recommend anyone to stay here if they will be around this area. We picked this place because it a close 30 min drive to American River Rafting.

A nice and functional home that made for an excellent "home base" for my time in Sacramento.

The house worked for us. We had a family event within a mile of the house, making the location perfect. The house itself was pretty basic, but the owner had done work to make it work for short term visitors. What was outstanding was the effort of the owner to make our stay as pleasant as possible. He was great about communicating with us and having someone bring us the key as we arrived. He stocked the house with essentials like plenty of sheets, blankets, pillows, toiletries, coffee, fruit, juice, and other drinks. Check out was as easy as possible -- leave everything where it was and close the door!

The space looks better than the photos. Beautiful setting with luxury hotel like finishes. Comfortable and clean and inviting bedding. You can feel the passion the owners have for entertaining you in this excellent presentation. Lol this was like a secret garden. I loved it enjoy.

Jennifer & Craig are great! They're very nice and they offered suggestions of some great places to go. Their cottage was amazing, the bed is comfy and the whole place is very welcoming. If we go back to Sacramento, we'd definitely book with them again!

Very quiet, spacious and relaxing location.

This was perfect for my boyfriend and I to get away for the weekend. The pictures are accurate and Craig was very welcoming!! I highly recommend staying here!

We were absolutely spoiled by Jen & Craig's hospitality and luxury accommodations. Located in one of the best neighborhoods in Sacramento, you have great restaurants and shopping within minutes. The pool house is private and very spacious. The full size kitchen allows for a much more comfortable stay if you plan on being there for awhile like my husband and I were. It's very safe and easy to feel at home. If your an exercise addict like myself, just drive down Arden Way 2 mins and take a walk or cycle by the river! Don't feel like getting back in the car? Jog in the neighborhood and loop the two neighborhood parks under the large tree canopies. You can choose to walk to the neighborhood restaurants or drive 7 mins to east sac for some urban night life. Want to treat yourself? Go to Blossom nails on Arden 2 mins away for a mani/pedi or schedule a spa day at Arden Hills just 5 mins away. Everything is walking distance. I can't say enough about Jen & Craig's Airbnb! We will be staying here many more times! Thank you :)

Jennifer, Craig, and family were very sweet, with prompt communication, and very accommodating to my travel timeline changes and needs. Their property is beautiful, the neighborhood quiet and safe, and the cottage is even more lovely in person with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. I hope I can create a home set up like this for myself someday! I would definitely stay here again if I can the next time I'm in Sacramento.

First of all its my first airbnb booking so had lots of doubts in my mind like how the host will be, what rule need to be followed etc etc... But at the time I reached at Jennifer's place and after meeting Craig, never felt that I m away from my home. As Craig made sure that we are comfortable and provided all required facilities.. He is such a gem as a Host and person being. Cottage was clean and everything you need was there so if you feel then you just need to carry cloths to wear.. nothing else. Also his dog was so cute... Home at gr8 location as we managed to roam around also. Thanks for being such a nice Host. God bless you.

This was our best Airbnb yet. Carolyn's place is private and has everything weary travelers would need. Don't stay anywhere else in Carmichael.

Carolyn was very easy to communicate with from the moment I inquired about staying at her place. Our visit far exceeded our expectations. She gave us a warm welcome and even provided us with soy & coconut creamer for our coffee along with a beautiful fresh fruit basket and snacks that accommodated our dietary restrictions. My favorite was the super sweet grapes she picked from the vine in her yard. Her place was very clean and felt like home. I was surprised at how spacious and fully equipped it was as well. The only regret I had was not staying longer. Definitely a place that is peaceful and comfortable.

The space was comfy, clean and quiet. The furnishings were neat and well thought out, we had everything we could need. Carolyn was thoughtful enough to personalize a welcome sign for us, and due to our late night check-in, she left the outside lights on so we didn't have to stumble around in the dark. She was very easy to work with and the apartment is self-sufficient to the point you don't need to bug her for things (if you like being an independent guest.)

Carolyn was a most gracious host! I was truly impressed with her level of hosting skill! She has created a very comfortable space furnished with everything a traveler could possibly need or want!
