Places to stay in Potlatch
Cute rustic/farmhouse style cottage. Walking distance to grocery store, restaurant/bar, park that includes walking track, park for children, and baseball fields. Only 25 minutes to Moscow and 35 minutes to Pullman. House has spacious full fenced yard around front and back of house perfect for animals to roam without a leash. Inside the house is small, but open kitchen and living room. Sofa bed has a very comfortable gel mattress. Great place to stay for recreation in beautiful PNW!
Our home is unique because of the small town it’s located in, yet how close it is to bigger communities like Moscow, Pullman, and Lewiston. There is recreation all year around that includes but not limited to hiking, waterfalls, camping, hunting, snowboarding, and skiing/XCountry Skiing. Potlatch is a city in the northwest United States, located in north central Idaho in Latah County, about six miles east of the border with Washington. On the Palouse north of Moscow, it is served by State Highway 6, and bordered on the northeast by the small community of Onaway.
Potlatch is a small town community. It is very safe and close to endless outdoor recreation. Our town is close enough to drive to Moscow, Pullman or Lewiston. It’s only about an hour to Lewiston and Coeurdalene and a little father to Spokane. It’s the perfect place to be away from the city but close enough to get there too.

  • Jaide was a great host and exceeded my expectations!!

  • Cozy place with nice touches.

    Sarah2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jaide was very accommodating with my late arrival and departure. Little things like offering to turn some lights on inside before we got there since it was dark and having tons of coffee and tea options made my stay so relaxing and comfortable!

    Caitlynn2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jaide’s place was perfect for us, in a very convenient location. Lots of thoughtful touches and cute themed elements throughout. Communication was awesome and it was an overall great stay!

  • Jaide and Nate are great hosts! We were late and they were flexible with our check-out time. The place is great and cozy, we enjoyed it! Thank you guys.

  • Jaide's place was the perfect place for me to stay while I visited with friends who lived in the town of Palouse, and enjoyed the town and countryside. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, and is a very private area downstairs from the main living space with a separate, very handy keyless entry--instead of a key--which was great for me. It has 2 separate bedrooms, and sleeping areas in the main living room too. My bed was super comfortable. The large bathroom has a great shower, and lots of counter space. Since it's downstairs, it's cool on hot days, which would be great for hot Palouse summers.

Come stay at a cozy B&B on our Alpaca farm. Located in the rolling hills of the Palouse, we offer a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment in our barn with beautiful views. We have a snack cart, microwave, coffee maker & mini fridge, with a cold breakfast provided. Sleeps two ( a queen bed).
The B&B is privately attached inside the barn, giving you your own access to come and go as you please! If you are booking for a special event, such as an anniversary celebration or such, let us know so we can't help make your stay even better! Feel free to email us with any special requests (i.e. Rose petals, etc). We will do our best to accommodate you! We provide two bathrobes (size L/XL & S/M) as well as slippers so you can feel like you're truly on a vacation! If staying during summer months, we have a table and chair set up for your convenience so you may sip your coffee while watching the sun come up as the alpacas graze. It's a beautiful experience! During winter months, a small table with chairs are set up in the bedroom for dining purposes. Coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and a cold continental breakfast are provided. For breakfast: muffins or cinnamon rolls, bagels, fresh fruit, yogurts and juice are in the fridge. There is a microwave, keurig, and toaster. We can *usually* cater to gluten free, dairy free diets. Please let us know if you have any other preferences. We are happy to assist so you can fully enjoy your stay! We are around most of the time and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the alpacas! So, come, stay and learn about how to start your own alpaca herd! They are lovable animals and will capture your heart! There is also a TV and DVD player with an assortment of movies! Unfortunately, we do not have cable at this time. There is a small ironing board and iron for your convenience. We provide Moscow Chamber of Commerce maps and brochures with information about local restaurants, businesses, and things to do! Animals on our farm: 32 alpacas, 29 chickens, 1 rooster, 12 ducks, scattered wild rabbits, 2 barn cats, and 3 very friendly golden retriever dogs, named Violet, Poppy, and Branch (all who will most likely be around to greet you, :) We have a country store inside our barn. It’s open on Saturdays from 11-5. It’s right next to the b&b, inside our barn. As a guest, you will receive a 10% discount in our store if you’d like to come shop! We can open it for you during your stay, just message us. It’s not a high traffic store, but does add some extra public traffic to our farm. We just want you to be aware! We have alpaca clothing, socks, hats, gloves, farmhouse decor, soaps, candles, rugs, and so much more fun stuff to browse through! Make sure to check it out! PLEASE NOTE: This is a working farm. . There are animal smells and noises! Although pets are not allowed inside the B&B space, alpaca smells do happen to linger inside and around the barn. It is a farm. If you are extremely sensitive to smells, please contact us before booking. We want you to enjoy your stay with full knowledge of our space! There are ducks and chickens that are free range and they like to talk. It’s the full farm experience out here! ALSO: There are people working on and around the farm (feeding animals, cleaning stalls, etc) throughout the day. This is a working farm that operates typically from 8-6. We try to be as quite as possible during the morning and evening feedings. But, we are a farm. Please let us know if you have any questions/concerns or what we can do to make your stay more comfortable!
We are out in the country with our own private drive. It's a very quiet and friendly little community. There is a post office located on Main Street. No gas stations or restaurants are in the actual town. The main highway is about 3/4 mile away, so there is not much road noise, just the hum of the alpacas to help you fall asleep!
  • A nice and cozy room. Calming duck sounds through the window. The cutest land mammals that live on planet earth.

    Jesse2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s ranch is so much fun! Make sure you go on a Saturday so you can feed the alpacas and check out her beautiful store too! Thanks for a great stay!

  • Very clean tidy and all of the great things said about the place are correct. Very unique place to stay. We loved it.

    Wade2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay! Close enough to Moscow that it was easy to pop in for dinner and yet off the beaten path enough that it was plenty peaceful. It is an alpaca farm and the smell takes a little getting used to but Katie provides an oil diffuser that helped with that. It was nice being able to come and go quietly without disturbing anyone, very nice setup. Very quiet and peaceful for a working farm. We enjoyed hearing the farm geese and the funny little noises the alpacas make. Would recommend this stay to anyone!

    Earl2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • OMG! This place is heaven. It’s decorated so nicely. It’s clean. They have food in the fridge and a bottle of wine waiting for you. The views are amazing. It’s a beautiful and relaxing. A walking path around the farm. Close to Moscow and Pullman. We LOVED it. Highly recommend staying there. They have a store onsite. Very nice high quality items. Made from alpaca and other items too. The animals ...all adorable. Friendly horse and the dogs! OMG the dogs are cuteness overload !!!

Enjoy a quiet space in the country with gorgeous sunrise and sunset views from the back porch! Located on a horse farm, with overnight stabling available, and great trails close by. Small fenced yard, dogs OK. 20 minutes from Moscow, 30 minutes from Pullman makes it a great choice for busy university weekends. Full kitchen, charcoal grill or a crackling campfire
Potlatch is a great launch site into miles of mountain trails. It has everything you need and nothing that you don't. Small grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, post office, gas station and bank.
  • When in this area this is exactly where I want to be. Special place...I will continue to return to Angela's Bunkhouse

  • Please see my previous September 2019 Review.

    Bonnie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Angela has a strong and outgoing personality and is quite accommodating to her guests despite her very busy schedule. I was under a lot of stress during my stay. Although I'm sure it may have been difficult...Angela handled me with grace and understanding. I encourage future guests to be open and honest about their expectations during their stay. If guests are staying more than one or two days and their expectation is "complete" privacy they should be willing to water and tend to the many beautiful plants that grace the porch and backyard of this space. Guests must acknowledge that this is Angela's home..and the home of horses, dogs, cats and chickens. Having grown up on a farm I love all the sights, sounds and smells that come with it. I loved staying here..in the midst of it all...to finding a cat curled up on a porch chair..to the occasional whinny from the horses or a bark from the dogs..to the crow of a rooster in the morning. Located in an area of beautiful scenic views..this place is special...but the crowning jewels of this place are the back porch (with its cabana lights) and the private, enclosed back yard..where you can kick back, take a load off..watch the sunset and the stars..and take in a little piece of heaven.

A new chapter has begun at The Bagott House in Palouse WA. We, Howard and Molly Quigley, are excited to be the new owners of the popular Bagott House apartments. We will continue to offer the same services at the same price.
The Bagott House is located in eastern Washington, about 60 miles south of Spokane and a few miles from the Idaho border. It offers a cozy place to stay when you are in the area for a family reunion, sporting event, or traveling to photograph the Palouse. The Bagott House does not offer traditional B&B accommodations--as in we don't cook for you. There is a fully equipped kitchen and we also encourage our guests to frequent the local restaurants or get supplies at the grocery store in town. The Bagott House is located just above downtown Palouse, WA. The "Bungalow” is one of two apartments under the main living space of our home. We are in close proximity to Pullman, WA and Moscow, ID and are surrounded by the amazing rolling hills of our region. Whether you are coming for the amazing scenery, a Cougar or Vandal game, or to see family, the Bagott House is a warm and welcoming place to call your temporary home. The “Bungalow” is a charming one-bedroom basement apartment with a private entrance and an additional sleeping space available in the living room. Furnished with a Keurig coffee maker, with a variety of coffee, teas, etc., refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a password protected WiFi and TV. Enjoy the private outdoor space to have your morning coffee. There is a private off-street parking space, and no stairs.

Cozy upstairs hotel-room apartment on Main Street in historic downtown Palouse, Washington. Perfect for a getaway stay in one of eastern Washington’s friendliest small towns. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Please note, this is an old building and a long set of stairs.
You have the whole apt, on an historic downtown, main st close to everything, restaurants, bank, grocery store and post office, an art gallery, and shops. A beautiful shady park with public’s free pool.
We are located on an historic main st of Palouse
  • Very nice and comfortable place to stay! We love it!

    Erica2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for the event we came to Palouse for. Overall the stay was good. Bed is comfortable and apartment was exactly as advertised. It seemed like the apartment had sat empty for a while prior to my stay and it need a quick clean to remove the dust otherwise no complaints and I would refer a friend or relative to stay here.

    Becca2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised: a clean and neat apartment above a Main Street business in Palouse. Great place to stay for visits into the Palouse area, Pullman and beyond. Worked very well for our 3 member family on an overnight visit. Would definitely stay again.

  • The Roadhouse was a perfect place for our small group of travelers to spend a snowy Thanksgiving in Palouse. The place was immaculately clean and exactly as advertised. Our long weekend in town was magical for many reasons, the Roadhouse being one of them!

  • Super everything - super clean, super location, super communication, super easy and oh so comfortable place to stay in the quaint little town of Palouse.

    Lola2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is an ideal spot for anyone staying in the Palouse country. Very comfy, lots of great reading material. For me, both the town and the apartment had the feel of an America back in the mid twentieth century (which I remember well as I'm nearing 80 years old). One welcome exception to that comparison: fast wi-fi!

  • Great hosts! Doug and Shannon go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The house is modern, clean and well stocked. Definitely will recommend to others.

  • This home was so beautiful and in a perfect location for scenery and quiet. It has a beautiful porch and small pond with lots of greenery. The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us. They left us a beautiful basket of treats and even left wood and s’more supplies for the fire pit. This home is worth the price and was beyond my expectations. I truly felt at home! Thank you Doug and Shannon!

    Sarah2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this for a WSU graduation for 2 graduates (cousins) and 2 families. I was apprehensive about the distance, but don't be. The drive is very scenic, and the house and grounds are well worth it! We stayed 2 nights, cooking both evenings, and while some of us enjoyed sitting outside by the fire, others sat comfortably in the living room. The beds and furniture were quite comfortable, and the kitchen fully supplied with any tools you needed. The grandparents are still raving about the wonderful weekend we all had at this house! Any questions you have, and the hosts will quickly respond.

    Carl2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing location with amazing hosts!! Doug and Shannon were easy to work with, always responsive and made sure our group was well taken care of!! I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful home with lots of room and amenities.

  • A beautiful place out in the country and hills of Idaho. This house is amazing! SPOTLESS! QUALITY! King size, comfortable beds, tasteful decorations, kind touches like a basket of food and treats for us to enjoy, and on and on. We loved it here and we will be back.

  • Many thanks to Doug and Shannon for opening their extraordinary home on a fabulous picturesque property to us this past weekend. Not only did we get to experience the Cougar win over the Ducks on Saturday night, we were able to stay at a home and property which is very much like a sanctuary. It is beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated! Thank you as well for the food and beverage touches which made us feel even more comfortable. We look forward to returning and having the opportunity to spend more time on the property.

Atop a two car garage detached from our primary residence, our beautiful mountain guest house is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Located on 10 wooded acres just 4 miles north of Moscow, Idaho, we have breathtaking views of the Moscow Mountain area facing East. Our mountain modern interior is complete with a full service kitchen, generous living room with gas fireplace, and two bedrooms sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom.
Our guest house is just 50 feet from our primary residence so we will be nearby to help with any questions or concerns you having during your stay. It's important for you to know that we live atop a mountain, so our steep gravel drive is best navigated using a vehicle equipped with four wheel drive, though not entirely necessary. We have a beloved hundred pound dog who loves to greet our guests with a few barks and hand licks. Contained by an electronic fence, Scout will wander the property throughout your stay but most often is found napping on our patio or indoors.. This guest house is atop a two car garage so you must be physically able to ascend a flight of stairs to get into the space. We pride ourselves in the relaxing and peaceful setting that we create for our guests. For the sake of our enjoyment of this natural setting and for the sake of our neighbors we request that our guests maintain this vibe by refraining from large gatherings or loud outdoor revelry. You are welcome to explore within the boundaries of our property to get photos of wildlife, or the breathtaking vistas of Moscow and the Palouse Region. Out of respect for our neighbors please feel free to ask us about our boundaries and the areas that are free to explore.
One of the best things about living in this setting is that it is incredibly relaxing and peaceful. To maintain this we ask our guests to refrain from loud behavior that would disrupt the serene setting which we and our neighbors value so much. We encourage you to explore the serene woods to view and photograph wildlife or the breathtaking vistas of Moscow and the Palouse Region. Out of respect for our neighbors please feel free to ask us about our boundaries and stay within them during your stay.
  • This was our very first time staying at an AirBnB. My husband is very particular and has always been skeptical about trying an AirBnB. All hotels were sold out for this weekend which left us no choice. We couldn't have been more pleased!! Mortimer Ridge Guest House was lovely. The home is modern and clean with huge windows and high ceilings. A fireplace lends to its coziness. The setting is beautiful - on top of a ridge surrounded by pine trees. There were three of us staying and all felt the beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. Very private, but only about 8-10 min from downtown Moscow. Sarah was a wonderful host, very responsive to any needs/questions. There were fresh flowers on the dining table and in the bathroom on our arrival. She had a basket of snacks for us on the countertop and had stocked the fridge with Lacroix water, bagels, english muffins and eggs. We had a wonderful stay and the hard to please person (my husband) was impressed and happy with our choice.

    Erika2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most fabulous stay at Sarah's place this past weekend. The space perfectly met our needs and the decorating was so beautiful and stylish, yet incredibly cozy. Our group of four was very comfortable in the two bedrooms (one with Queen bed and the second with a twin and bunk bed) and we loved relaxing in the great room (gorgeous living room / kitchen area) with the high ceilings and view of the trees and the hills in the distance. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the comfy couches, cozy blankets and warm fire. We even woke to a moose and calf walking through the yard one morning! My niece was thrilled to find a closet full of toys, dolls, and books and she was entertained for hours. We didn't even miss not having a TV. Sarah left a lovely spread of teas and coffees, bagels with cream cheese, beverages and other snacks for us. What a treat to not have to head into town for breakfast our first morning! Sarah's hospitality was top notch with thoughtful touches in the space when we arrived and quick responses to our questions. Her husband even drove up and down the steep road when they got unexpected snow to make sure we wouldn't have any trouble making it back up the hill. Of note is the fact that the road up to the house is long and rather steep and might be challenging without an all wheel drive or 4-wheel drive in Winter with snow. But the view from up on the hill was certainly worth it. We were there to visit my son at WSU and found the drive to Pullman (25 min) was very manageable. Overall, we were thrilled with the accommodations and hospitality and would definitely recommend Sarah's place. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

  • Our hosts and accommodations exceeded expectations. Our one regret is we didn't have more time there. The location is picturesque, tranquil, and welcoming. Carol and her family are friendly, generous, wonderful people. We are thankful for finding such a wonderful gem, and special Idaho ambassadors during our first visit to the state.

  • Carol's place is amazing. The property looks like it should be on a greeting card and it is clear that lots of hard work and love go into caring for the estate every day. The barn itself is one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed. The living room is warm and inviting with excellent WiFi and television options. The kitchen was very functional and Carol made sure to put half in half in the fridge for our morning coffee which I thought was a nice touch. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and we slept very well. The view from the barn is spectacular and I think one could easily spend hours just looking outside. I must not forget to comment on the excellent and filling breakfast. She brought our tray to the loft and it was clear she put a lot of personal touches into the meal. You won't regret staying there and we look forward to staying again when we are in the area!

  • Our visit to Bella Vista Farm and a stay in the Patriot Room was beyond amazing! We loved the beautiful and relaxing views of golden rolling hills from our deck! Our room’s decor was so very warm and cozy! A special treat upon arriving were the delicious cookies! (so nice after a long drive). A wonderful surprise in our room was being able to take a very relaxing candlelit soak in the tub, with views of a bright full moon! Mindy’s homemade breakfasts were the best and such a special treat! We felt so lucky to have found Bella Vista Farm and given the chance will be back for another visit! From the ease of our checking in, to the time we left, we couldn’t have asked for a better visit! Thank you so much to our hosts Mindy and Gregg for sharing Bella Vista Farm with us!

  • Dan and C.C’s place was a great spot for our family to stay while visiting our family in Moscow. The main living area and kitchen is a shared space, but we were the only ones staying there. Although we did not spend a lot of time there other than sleeping - it was well equipped to cook meals and hang out if you choose to do so. Very clean, comfortable beds and quiet. We enjoyed star gazing from the deck off of our room. About a 10 min drive to Moscow. Thanks for a great stay!

    Concetta2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is nestled on a hill just outside of Moscow. It feels like you are much further out of town, but restaurants and amenities are just a short 10-15 minutes away! The house is beautiful! Both the owner and caretaker were very quick to respond to questions prior to our arrival. Bill, the caretaker, greeted us promptly as we arrived. He walked us through the shared space and showed us to our room. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. We were very pleased with the high quality bedding- they didn’t skimp on that! We enjoyed seeing deer just outside of the cabin from our room; the balcony and chairs were a fun touch. One aspect that could be viewed as a downside was the lack of window treatments. We were up early one day, so it didn’t affect us. However, the other day I would have liked to have slept a bit more but the sun illuminated the room. I can’t complain about the beautiful space and sunshine, but if you want a dark room, the autumn room probably wouldn’t be the best room for you. While we didn’t use the kitchen space aside from the fridge, it was a clean space. The ping pong table was a fun amenity for our kids. This was our first Airbnb experience, and we were very pleased. We will be back if/when we are in the area again!

  • This place was stunning. My wife and I stayed here for two nights after our wedding before driving to the Oregon coast. We were both completely wiped out and came down with colds after the wedding. This place was PERFECT for resting up and recovering. The log cabin architecture, rustic style, natural light, and BEAUTIFUL views were more than I could have hoped for. The communal kitchen space was excellent. The location was prime. Tucked away up in the foothills of Moscow Mtn, it was gorgeous and secluded with amazing views of town. Especially at night. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again sometime when we're not so under the weather.

    Micah2018-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this home. We shared it with our son and his family, and there was plenty of room for all 7 of us. The view was great and the property beautiful.

  • This was the PERFECT place for our family!! It was myself, my husband and son. We came to steal our daughter for the night from U of Idaho. Our room had a king bed and two twins so the four of us got to spend some quality time together!! We would unquestionably stay again!

Serene, family-friendly accommodations. Private 2Bedroom, 1.25 Bath Suite offer guests a breathtaking landscape view of the Palouse. Additional 3rd BR available on main floor with another private bathroom. Children love the secluded playroom and adults love the solitude. Our woods offer walking trails and glimpses of wildlife.
We offer 2 spacious BR's, located in a private wing of our house on the 2nd floor. A 3rd BR on the main floor is available if needed. Each room comfortably sleeps 2 guests (with room for a Pack 'n Play if required); both offer a luxurious pillow-top mattress and fresh linens. In a crunch we can also set up a queen-size air bed in the living room. Please bring no pets. This is a family-friendly safe environment. We can provide a pack'n play, baby swing and changing table, and children are entertained in the "play closet" located outside of one bedroom. The Peacock Room is our beautiful master bedroom with a Cal-King bed and a view of our poplar grove and forest of pine trees. The Rabbit Room offers a Queen bed and a stunning vista of the Palouse. It overlooks a bird feeder (a popular spot for a variety of birdlife including our regular visitors, the local rafter of wild turkeys). Both rooms share the 1.25 bathroom suite which includes a shower and Jacuzzi. We ensure our guests' privacy as these rooms are located in a private wing of the house. We also offer a spacious living room on the 1st floor with soft couches for our guests to relax, visit or simply curl up with a favorite book. The lawn is the perfect place to sit and chat, all while enjoying the rolling hills during the day or the stars at night. We highly encourage a cup of tea, a glass of wine or a cigar when doing so to enhance the experience. Combining any two of the above with a stretch on the hammock will only improve the memories. And lastly, a basketball hoop is available for shooting baskets.
We are tucked in a subdivision located 5 miles north of Moscow, Idaho, off Hwy 95N on Steakhouse Hill. The "neighborhood" consists of elk and deer that graze in the green valley at the edge of our lawn, an occasional coyote pack and the rafter of turkeys that hang out in the yard, pecking at the fallen birdseed and quite hilariously courting one another. (On any given day it's like an episode of the "Bachelor: Nature Edition".) We've also been visited by moose and a rare bear in the cherry tree. And did we mention the view yet? Oh, we did? About ten times? Well, make it eleven because that baby is not to be missed! We have a beautiful hike behind our house that leads to "Bunker Hill," a grassy hilltop offering a near panoramic view of the Palouse. It's a favorite destination and running spot for the few human neighbors that make up our community.

  • Fabulous view! The house is located at a perfect spot on the hill with the forest in the back and the boundless beautiful field in the front. We stayed for 3 days and spent most of the time before noon at the house. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the deck with the wonderful view. Christi is very hospitable. Besides the nice breakfast every morning, she even had Chinese teas and chopsticks available for us. Will definitely come back again.

She was incredibly responsive and welcoming! She waited up to make sure we made it even though we didn’t arrive until after 9pm. She made sure all our needs were met and was so kind. And she made the best pumpkin muffins on the planet for breakfast!

  • Absolutely a great experience. Had our daughter and her friend up to visit U of Idaho and WSU over the weekend. Both schools had home football games so hotels were expensive and sold out. This was an amazing option and we now will always book The Steak House when in town.

  • This house is amazing. Incredible views and peaceful setting. Christi was very responsive. If you are in the area and don't mind being a short distance from town, this is the placed to be

  • What a great find! We stayed at Christi's for graduation weekend for WSU. If you know the area, you will know that it is very difficult to find accommodations during event times. What a pleasure it was to find this gem. It is a little out of town from Moscow but is so worth the drive (and extra 5 minutes is all). The house is very comfortable, the views are stunning and Christi and her hubby are great hosts. We feel like we met new friends! You'll enjoy it if you go....

This is a small room with a queen bed. Most reservations for this room would include a separate bath.
  • Potlatch is a historian 'gold mine.' Irene's B&B takes you back in time, built in the early 1900's this home is unbelievably warm, clean, and cozy. A 'must' experience should you enjoy a walk to a quaint town and experience the once presents of the 'World's Largest Saw Mill.' A must see is the museum located at the 'Train Depot.' I can't wait to return and relive the (what must have been) an exciting, mysterious, and even romantic community in it's day. Place Potlatch on your must see list of thing to do!

  • Helped find a place closer to where I needed to be. Very thoughtful

    Bill2017-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Irene is like staying with your grandmother that cooks a wonderful breakfast and tells you the history of town. It was peaceful and we slept wonderfully. I would recommend this to anyone needing to stay for a trip near Moscow

    Katie2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Irene was the perfect host and made me feel very welcome from the minute I arrived to the minute I left. My room was very clean and extremely comfortable.

    Mark2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was great. Irene gave me a bigger bedroom with a private bath at the same cost when someone else cancelled. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

    Amy2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • I hadn't stayed at a B&B since having kids, and my daughter was a little worried about staying at someone's home. Irene made my daughter's first experience at a B&B really enjoyable. Breakfast was yummy and the coffee was perfect. My daughter even came home with a recipe! Irene gave us a perfect balance of attention and privacy which is hard to achieve. Thank you!

    Karen2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay and Irene is a great host! Didn't spend much time inside since I was busy exploring areas nearby. There are not that many accommodations in that area and this place is a good choice.

  • Very comfortable stay with incredible views and nice common areas. Also, it is a clean space and there is plenty of parking, even when all rooms are rented out. Our host met us in person and gave us a tour but the self-checkin process is clear and easy to follow as well. Highly recommend.

Iconic home nestled in Moscow Mountain foothill woodlands appx. 5 miles north of town. 2 bedrooms-1 queen with mattress adjustable for firmness on each side , 1 full. Both rooms share bath w/ 2 person jacuzzi . Adjacent entertainment room has a fold out sofa bed. The house is a rustic roundhouse. The split level offers two daylight basement bedrooms and large shared bathroom*(see guest access) on the lower level, along with a family room and laundry, separate from the main (host) floor. In winter we heat with wood and lofty comforters.
The house is an octagon, rooms angular and interesting. Numerous neighbors live along the county road, but evenings are usually very quiet. The brightest lights in the area (besides your headlights), will be the stars in the clear night's sky.
  • Great place and a wonderful host.

    Ted2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to crash while just a few minutes from Moscow. WiFi did not work very well and had limited cell service so plan to be more off the grid here. Lovely quiet location. Comfortable beds and a very great host. Enjoyed some nice conversations with her while we were there.

  • Loved Marilyn's hospitality and extra effort to be sure we felt cared for.

    Barbara2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's home is a unique, eclectic space with a very friendly hostess! My son and I stayed there for WSU Mom's Weekend. Marilyn was responsive in her communication and helped our weekend go smoothly! She offered tips about hikes in the area, offered to make a delcious-sounding breakfast (unfortunately, we didn't have time), and gave us comfortable and private space despite sharing her personal home. Based on other reviewer's comments about roosters crowing in the morning, I did bring a small fan for white noise as neither my son nor I are morning people,...we slept WONDERFULLY! The infrared space heater/fireplace was a very nice touch, as was the small fridge, microwave, and coffee station. We were happy to have chosen to stay there! We would be happy to stay again!

    Taunya2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn, welcomed the four of us into this gem of a B&B for a one night stay, and she was a wonderful host. We drove to her home through a bit of a snow storm, and her warm greeting and the the toasty warm downstairs suite were absolutely balm to our souls! Marilyn invited us upstairs for some delicious hot chocolate, where we enjoyed a lively conversation, and got warmed by the fireplace in her lovely home. We were in heaven, and slept soundly in very comfortable beds. The next morning she prepared a delicious breakfast and coffee, and joined us at the table for a nice chat before we had to depart. As we were driving away along the road near her house, we saw a flock of wild turkeys walking near a field covered by a fresh blanket of snow and were enchanted by them and the beautiful area Marilyn lives in. We thank you Marilyn for providing this wonderful and welcoming home experience, for which we are truly grateful, and hope to come stay again!

  • An amazing location and experience! Mindy thought of every detail a guest could hope for and created a completely delightful experience. The views offered from the house are calming, beautiful and enchanting! Even though the location is on the outskirts of Moscow, it is an easy 10 minute drive to the U of I campus and we will try to stay with Mindy on future visits to the area.

  • Amazing location and beautiful vistas. Wonderful comforable space. Terrific breakfasts. Friendly owners.

  • Greg and Mindy are OUTSTANDING hosts. She was there to greet us after our 9PM arrival. There was a breakfast offering that we could not take advantage of due to other plans, but there were 2 awesome chocolate chip cookies in the room on arrival, and Sunday morning on departure, was a take out bag of goodies, including home made coffee cake, bacon and freshly made apple juice. Greg and Mindy were the perfect hosts and I can't recommend them enough. My understanding is that they have at least 2 rooms available, are located about 20 minutes from Pullman, and no more than 8 minutes from downtown Moscow. The view from the house overlooks Moscow and I believe you can even see Pullman from there. Thank you both for your hospitality.
