Barbara and Alastair were amazing hosts with a beautiful house. We were in town for a wedding and they were very accommodating by allowing us to come by earlier to get changed. We also certainly had a very good night sleep in their very comfortable room. The morning after breakfast were scrumptious and certainly enjoyed the conversations! Thank you for having us!

Cosy is the right word for Barbara and Alistair's home. They are both such great hosts, I felt so welcome. It was easy to make arrangements for arriving early and for using the kitchen. I was very grateful for their flexibility. The bed was very comfortable and I loved my room with its view over the garden and birds flitting through the trees. A lovely stay altogether.

Perfect stay, gorgeous house. We arrived quite late as we had been at an event, we were made very welcome and had a lovely stay. All sat and had breakfast together, good selection of everything!! Would highly recommend!

Barbara has a lovely home and has created a fantastic Airbnb experience. Our bedroom was beautiful with a super comfy bed, a TV, and tea and coffee facilities - which we didn't get to use as we were straight downstairs in the morning to join Barbara for a lovely breakfast in the garden! We were attending a wedding down the road and this was an ideal place to stay.

Barbara, Alastair and the house are all brilliant, from the call directing me to the house through to the wonderful power shower. For me Air BnB is great because you get a home and you meet lovely people. On the Sunday evening I arrived tired but thoroughly enjoyed the company if Barbara and Alastair, we shared cricket stories and Air BnB experiences. I was very lucky to get 2 days. I even left my tooth brush so I can have a return visit!!

My daughter and I stayed for two nights. Very comfortable clean rooms in a great little village. A bit difficult to find but due to travelling I didn't get the directions Barbara had sent. A great, opulent and crazy house, nothing boring about this place, and definitely one to remember, fabulous for a party and plenty to do for all ages, we had lovely weather so went into Marlow and some lovely pubs but there was loads to do in the house if the weather had been miserable. Can't wait to come back in the summer and make the most of the BBQ and garden. There was loads of information about the house and local area. A great weekend, thank you

Adrian's house is a very grand-looking house in a beautiful location that gives easy access to scenic walks and villages in the Chilterns. The house definitely has a wow factor and the dining room in particular made an excellent backdrop for a private party. Plenty of space for socialising both inside and out and our family group never felt on top of each other. We walked to Turville (Vicar of Dibley fame) on footpaths easily accesssed from the house, however we drove (on one evening) to the local pub as we weren't confident walking on the dark main road with children; I would recommend you take hi-viz and a torch if you want to tackle the walk up the Marlow Road! All-in-all, a great location and house for a memorable and comfortable social gathering in a prime location; thank you Adrian.

We stayed at Adrian's place to celebrate my girlfriends 30th birthday. The house is amazing providing enough space for everyone staying. Each room had its own en-suit bathroom and the whole house was immaculately clean. Access to wifi, games room, excellent heating and huge kitchen with all appliances made the stay even better. It isn't often you find a place like this that caters for all of your needs.

This place was fantastic! It was perfect for my sister's hen do. Adrian was very quick to respond if any problems.

Amazing don't really describe this place,magical in some ways,surreal to say the least. Everyone was in awe and overwhelmed. It was perfect for an unforgettable weekend. Had everything we needed and the location is perfect, enough shops /pubs and restaurants nearby and close enough for a London commute. The decor is brilliant and mad for some great photo's. The hamper was also a nice touch, thank you.

Adrian is amazing. We went with a relaxed weekend in mind with another couple friend and our 4 kids. Kids loved the house and the garden. The kitchen is huge with all utilities in it so dinners were a good social activity. Days were spent at Cliveland estate (20 minutes drive) which is great place to go with the kids

Staying with the host, Rebecca, and her faimy was lovely as I was made to feel welcome from the moment I entered the house with a lovely hug. I also felt free to come and go as I needed and my every need was catered for. Rebecca even bought me up a cup of ginger tea when I was feeling under the weather. I would definitely stay with this family again :)

Rebecca and her family made us very welcome. Beautiful room, with private shower room/toilet, in the loft. Light airy and spacious, lovely views. Easy to find, conveniently located near Lane End. We stayed a night to go to EJ Churchill shooting grounds, and this was the perfect place to stay, a 20min walk gets you to the grounds, Lane End is a small, quiet village with a really nice pub. Excellent stay.

Rebecca was so welcoming and friendly and already had lots of messages before my stay so felt we'd already met! It was easy to find and perfectly located near St Katherine's, Parmoor, where my course was. Room was as listed, clean bright and spacious and ensuite shower room. Lovely and quiet and tea and coffee facilities and tv. I couldn't get the wifi to work on my phone but didn't try laptop. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be back again! From the beginning, the hosts guided me aptly. Although it was an effort to find their house, I would be the one to blame as I did not call Rebecca before taking the taxi. Absolutely stunning. Hosts were really helpful and even though they are very close by they are only there if you need them. Very clean and tidy with all the basics you need. The main attractive point is the views, no matter what time of year they are just stunning. Would recommend for a short break and we will hopefully return in the summer :) Thank you Chris & Kat

Stuart's chalet was a perfect weekend getaway for us. A very comfortable stay with great views, we'll be booking again for another relaxing weekend! Stuart is a very friendly host, with plenty of help to offer where needed, we felt very welcome.

Location was fantastic and the photos didn't do the view justice. Exceptionally clean and well appointed chalet. The recommendation for the pub was great as we enjoyed a great dinner. Only recommendation is would have been great to have a couple of items for breakfast taking into account you then would have to slightly increase your rate.

After booking on the day, Stuart got back to us in rapid time. We arrived at around 5pm to a stunning chalet with fantastic views. It had a nice cosy and warm feel, the bed was extremely comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next visit. Would Highly recommend!!

Ahsan has been absolutely great. Very helpful throughout my stay, very accommodating! I absolutely recommend staying here. Lovely location, nice spacious room, on the doorstep to some lovely forest walks, good company too. Lightening-fast wifi! I also liked it for its proximity to Sands Industrial estate, where I had a trial week with a company a couple of weeks back. Ahsan's place is conveniently close!

Lloyd is a great host, always ready to help and very kind! The place is very cosy and at the back of the house so plenty of privacy. Fully equipped kitchen, amazing corner bath and towels were provided. Great location, quiet but also close enough to shops and public transport. Highly recommend!

The room is fairly spacious and comfortable. There was a permanent resident there who was extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are basic,but adequate and clean.

Ben is a great host and very wecolming the cottage has a great view with a variety of wild life and the bed is very comfortable.

We did not meet the host as she was away, but she was pleasant and helpful over the phone and by text. She kindly left breakfast provisions for us. Some more work needs to be done on the house, particularly carpeting the stairs to make them safe, and tidying up the plasterwork in the bathroom. There was no information left about how to get onto the wifi and no local maps about the area to look at which was rather inconvenient.

Brianna is extremely helpful and accommodating and resolved a slight issue with the robustness (!!) of one of the beds really quickly

Walks right from the doorstep, loads of great little pubs and churches to explore. Had a lovely stay at this cottage. It's a very peaceful setting and the house itself is very quaint and beautiful. Brianna had provided lots of welcome gifts, chocolates bread and jam and the like, which was a lovely touch. Quiet, clean, and great central heating for a short stay in late November. Perfect!

Brilliant place

We had a great time in Cate's beautiful home. It's situated in a truly gorgeous part of the country with amazing walks right out of the front door and several fantastic pubs within walking distance. Little details like a well positioned hairdryer made us feel especially at home. The view out over the rolling Chiltern Hills from the large and comfortable kitchen was particularly lovely. We're already thinking of rebooking for a weekend in the summer.

We loved our stay and being in Fingest. Cate made us feel so welcome and the house was really comfortable and relaxing. Our boys (age 5&6) loved it too. Loads of really wonderful places to eat locally, great trip all in all.

Thank you Cate for being a great host. Communication was clear from the start & we felt very welcome. The cottage is cosy and we very much enjoyed the evenings by the fireplace, it made all the difference during our stay. The area is picturesque (like the view from the cottage), with lots of great walks and pubs. Pack your wellies and go exploring. The area is quiet, you can see the stars at any time, and it also felt like other activities were accessible to us. We especially enjoyed our meal in the five horseshoes, which is recommended in Cate's guide you will find in the cottage, alongside maps to plan your walks.

Cate was very welcoming, friendly and amenable. She gave us great tips on where to go. The house was impeccable and stylish, in a great village with lots to do in the vicinity.

Had a great stay in Fingest. It's a beautiful cottage that mixes old with new perfectly. The front room is traditional and cosy for the evenings whilst the kitchen / open-plan living space is bright and a lovely place to relax and read. The views out onto the fields are unspoilt and it is so quiet. Nice to be woken by birdsong! The front garden is a real asset too - beautifully kept and landscaped. A great place to relax in the sun. Fingest itself is picturesque. It has an old Norman church and a lovely village pub that does brilliant food. They were very accommodating for a party of four of us and my sister's guide dog. We also went on a walk down the Chiltern Way and visited the village of Turville. Definitely worth seeing. Another Norman Church and country pub that is overlooked by a Windmill on top of the hill. On our way back to London we also dropped by Henley on Thames which is full of good pubs by the river and had a nice French market on at the time. Found Cate to be very accommodating. Excellent communication before, during and after our stay. She was very welcoming and obviously takes a lot of pride in her cottage. Thank you. Would definitely recommend a stay at Cate's place in Fingest for anyone looking for a relaxing few days in the Chilterns!

Cate's house is in an idyllic quiet village setting, lambs outside the window, beautiful rural views, lovely garden and terrace, great walking for the Chiltern Way on the doorstep, and local pub 3 mins walk away. Cate was informative and helpful about her house, local pubs, walks etc, and her house was comfortable, stylish and clean! A very special place to stay.

Listing description was accurate. The accommodation was warm and comfortable. I had a bathroom to myself which is a luxury when staying in someone's home.

Another great stay at Jo's apartment! Lovely flat with everything you need and Jo is the perfect host. Highly recommended!

We arrived at the apartment - it was not cleaned from previous guest. Skank of Smoke of cigarettes . There was pizza boxes everywhere and beer and alcohol . Used towels on the floor and bathroom still wet. People were still in the house they had giving to us . After waiting around 30mins they relocated to us to another apartment which was really bigger and much cleaner. As you probably noticed it is apart of a hotel. On the door it provides the wifi code and password but there was no wifi in the house . Had to use my data. The photos are quite deceiving doesn't actually show which apartment is what pictures. But however the apartments was very modern . You have to check in at the hotel and they send you to find you apparment with the instructions 'it's 60 blocks away' . Instead of giving us the address - it's like they want you to argue with them for them to give you the address of the place you are staying. This place is ok quite expensive for no reason and you better off booking these apartments from their direct website - about £10 cheaper and offers breakfast for a price of course. If you don't have a car or money for taxi you may find it a struggle. Most shops or fun things are in town which is roughly 30min walk.

A very dated property essentially within a hotel

Accurate description. Practical and ideal or 3x 40 year old men. We were on a boat in Marlow and that was a £10 taxi each way. Marlow is a different area to High Wycombe. Kitchen was ideal for eating a takeaway curry there is a dining table, plenty of plates now. The local area is very pratical.

Great location outside of London

The apartment was perfectly located in High Wycombe for a weekend of walking and cycling in the beautiful Chilterns. We were able to leave our car in the car park whilst we were out in the day, even before/after we checked in which was great! The apartment was very spacious with a bath, comfy bed and very warm central heating - great to relax and unwind after a day in the hills. The apartment was also very clean and everyone working at the hotel was very friendly. A couple of things didn't quite sit right with this listing: it's part of a hotel not an independent listing which in some ways goes against the spirit of air bnb, in addition the apartment is lacking in a few basic amenities to make it practical for 4 guests - there are only 2 chairs around the table and only 2 large plates, there were no kitchen towels provided to dry the pots and basic utensils such as oven gloves and cheese graters were lacking.

The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. But the kitchen utensils are dirty and can't be used. Firstly we planned to fry some salmon for dinner but finally we had to cook them in microwave oven. The overall is good but they can do it better if they are more concerned about the kitchen utensils.

Stayed for the rowing World Cup weekend in June. Nice apartment ideal for what we wanted. Comfortable, clean and well located.

They were great! They left tea and coffee which saved me. West Wycombe park is like a 5 minute drive. Wifi is spotty/slow but for that area good in my mind.

Fantastic place to visit, plenty of parking onsite. Great privacy. Most of all, very friendly and flexible host =)
