  • My husband and I stayed in the Elliot Suite for a very rare night away from the kids. The property was simply breathtaking will beautiful decor and little touches throughout. It was really lovely to have all the breakfast items in the fridge, including milk & juice for the morning. The hot tub was fantastic, it’s in its own gazebo type housing and a nice & private space to relax with Alexa in the hot tub house being a great treat to listen to music whilst we were relaxing. The hosts were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I will definitely be back here as it’s one of the best places I’ve stayed. Thank you Lucy & Stuart!

  • The Elliott suite was exactly what we wanted: fantastically chilled and comfortable - and there was a hot tub! We literally stayed for one very spontaneous night after a trip abroad got cut short, so the fact that Lucy met us with wine, and had stocked the fridge with breakfast was much appreciated and especially thoughtful. Thank you providing such a relaxing end to a hectic few days :)

    Carly2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts, always on hand to help with anything! Spotless apartment that you stay in! With little added extras was for my girlfriends 21st they even went out of their own way to get a cake and a bottle of wine would definitely recommend! 5*

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! What a feast for the eyes and the soul. We loved our stay. Amanda is so welcoming. The place was great with everything you’d need and it was lovely and warm (we stayed during storm Jorge). The highlight is definitely the birds and animals. Sitting feeding ducks while drinking coffee in the morning, what a treat. Loads of places to walk too. Local amenities were all close by too. Definitely recommend staying here. We didn’t want to leave.

    Lisa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Perfect place for a lovely relaxing getaway. Hosts are great, really attentive and did all they could to make sure we had a great stay, despite Storm Dennis’ attempts to cause havoc! Would 100% recommend, and thanks for a great stay :-)

    Ethan2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first ever air B and B experience ! Emily’s communication was excellent from start to finish, we loved the location (in the middle of nowhere) although unfortunately storm Dennis meant that we had no internet connection but the board games and DVD’s had us entertained. We loved the fire the thoughtful touches in the house made our stay even better. We booked in for the hot tub experience which both of us thoroughly enjoyed. All round a great experience. Thanks to Emily for the communication and Paris for showing us the hot tub. We had a great time and hope to come back. Lucy and Michael x

Hosts are lovely too. It is a family home, so school mornings don't expect it to be quiet - not an issue for me though. 🙂

  • We had an amazing time at Jess and Tom's beautiful home. The place itself is spacious and clean with lovely country touches, and nothing was too much for them as hosts. We brought our dog who had a great time romping around off lead as well! The best Airbnb we have stayed at, can't recommend highly enough.

  • This beautiful place exceeded all of our expectations. We received a warm welcome from Jessica and the personal touches made our stay extra special. Home made pizza, use of the tennis courts and the delicious chocolate cake were wonderful touches. Our very energetic dog had as much fun as all of us with wonderful walks and the small touches such as dog towels and treats made everything so much easier. The house is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. Would recommend this place to anyone, from couples to families and dogs! We will definitely be returning.

  • Well what can we say this place is amazing. Beautiful well kept grounds, welcoming hosts and the barn is just wow 🤩 We loved sitting by the open fire and our dog enjoyed the walks. It’s clear to see how much effort goes in to this place. Lots of little touches which were appreciated such as the towel/treats for our dog and the delicious lemon drizzle cake. Thank you both, we will be back soon.

Appleby is a small picturesque village in North Lincolnshire lying about 5 km to the north-east of Scunthorpe, straddling the B1207 – the historic Roman Road of Ermine Street which once ran directly from London to York. The village nestles on the dipped slope of a limestone escarpment that falls gently towards the River Ancholme to the east. Appleby is close to many other attractions in the village of Broughton is St Mary’s Church which dated from 1066, although the tower is possibly earlier, giving evidence that there has been a centre of Christian worship in Broughton for over 900 years at least. That worship continues to this day with regular weekly services and other services for festivals and special occasions. Brigg is a quaint little market town primary functions have remained unchanged down the centuries - a safe place to cross the River Ancholme and a forum for buying and selling goods and services. Back in the 11th century the only crossing was by wading through a ford where the river was just a few feet deep, near the site of what is now the Lidl store. A very small settlement was clustered near the crossing point. The first recorded reference to the county of Lincolnshire was in 1016 but the ancient territory of Lindsey, of which Brigg was part, existed as an entirely separate entity. In the village of Scawby is Scawby Hall is a Grade 1-listed, Jacobean manor house that was first begun by Richard Nelthorpe (1569-1640) in 1603 and has been lived in by members of the Nelthorpe family ever since. The house has been expanded and remodelled by successive generations. In 1792, upon the sale of Baysgarth Hall in Barton-upon-Humber, Scawby Hall became the main residence in Lincolnshire of the Nelthorpe family.

The hot tub was one of the highlights of our stay and the fairy lights made it feel so magical. If it wasn’t for the storm on the way we would have loved to explore more of the beautiful grounds! From a lovely warm welcome on arrival to wishing us a safe journey home, we hope to be back very soon!! Thank you again! Xx

  • The beautiful cottage was situated in the most breathtaking surroundings I’ve ever seen! Kate, Stevie and the whole family greeted us warmly and made us feel comfortable and relaxed in their company. We spotted wild deer running around the lawns as we strolled around the estate and heard owls in the treetops at night! It was magical. The hot tub is a short walk from the cottage and has its own golf chalet for changing/relaxing. Take a towelling robe to make your lives easier going to and fro! The cottage has just undergone a fabulous renovation and was immaculate with brand new amenities throughout. Kate had thought of every detail. We even found freshly baked bread waiting upon arrival! Thank you! A perfect little gem!

  • Really nice place, well worth a visit if you need peace and quiet.Hopefully I will have a chance to visit again!

  • Considering this was my first time using AirBnB everything was so easy from start to finish and any questions I had were replied to very quickly. A very clean and spacious accommodation in an idea location. The garden was amazing to sit in when we had some spare time too. Bob and Joanne were great hosts that went above and beyond when Bob kindly rescued us when our taxi let us down on a bank holiday. Highly recommended!

  • A warm, friendly welcome from Jo. The Stables was the perfect location for our break. Would definitely return and recommend.

*my house is very clean and hygienic and even more so at the moment, with surfaces, door handles etc sanitised many times daily, plus anti-bacterial cleaner is on hand in each communal room and both bathrooms* This spacious room is located on the ground floor and used to be a lounge. It is also very comfortable - whilst you will be sleeping on a double sofa bed, it is as comfortable as a comfortable real bed - trust me, I'm a fussy sleeper and I slept very well indeed in it
The house is a 5 minute drive from the steel works and the hospital, half a mile from supermarkets, a small high street, pubs, takeaways and a gym. There are more pubs and eateries within 2 miles, making it a perfect location. There is ample space to cook, (all pots, pans and utensils, plus 1 x cupboard and 1 x fridge shelf is provided for each guest) dine and relax - I have a large kitchen with breakfast bar. You are also welcome to work and chat here, should you wish. There is a bay, plus ample on-street parking available, enabling you to park right outside of the property.
  • Gemma is a brilliant host - friendly, whilst giving me the space to do my own thing - I felt this was a home-from-home. The room itself is very comfortable and spacious with the added benefit of a sofa and dining table. Having said that, I enjoyed sitting in the kitchen to eat. The bed is very comfy - whilst it is a sofa bed, it is a very good quality one which has its own mattress (like a bed, not sofa) so you wouldn't know you weren't in a 'proper' bed. I met Gemma's lodger whilst I was there and there was another guest staying at the time I believe, though you wouldn't have known as it was very quiet and peaceful. If you want a clean, safe, quiet, comfortable and welcoming place then this is highly recommended!

Our lovely house is in quiet street in Hessle, 5 miles from Hull. There's a few restaurants, cafes, shops & a country park by the Humber Bridge. There's regular buses & trains to Hull to visit museums, theatre etc. The large bedroom has a double bed & TV & you are welcome to use rest of house. We have a very good Collie-cross dog who loves visitors & is fine if you needed to bring your dog too (as long as not left in house without you). Self-serve breakfast provided - cereals, toast, fruit etc.
The house is well decorated and maintained in keeping with its Victorian origins so it provides a comfortable and homely place to stay. We love meeting new people and are happy to give advice or information about local amenities, travel or events in the area.
Hessle is a small town with a shopping area, cafes and a few restaurants, a couple of parks and good transport links to Hull. The train station and bus stop are both within walking distance from our house. The Humber Bridge is about 1 mile away and provides great views for pedestrians or cyclists and there is a lovely country park by - good for dog walks! The Wolds Way starts from near the Humber Bridge within walking distance from the house.
  • Judith place is just lovely, relaxed and welcoming. The bed is very comfortable- lovely sleep. Judith is avgreat host, very helpful . Have stayed a few times now and will stay again. Thanks Judith

  • I've stayed at Judith's several times. Judith is really nice and it's a great place.

    Duncan2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • All were well prepared and sorted neatly for my stay, including brochures of surrounding cities. The dog was lovely. The neighbourhood was nice, where convenient shops are in walking distance. I thank Judith for her trying to let me feel as comfortable as possible. Hessle may look distant from Hull in comparison to other possible B&Bs, but it was very easy to visit in the evening on Friday by bus (#155) (https://www.eastyorkshirebuses.co.uk/services/EY/155). The bus stop was so close. I would highly recommend Judith's place when someone visits the region.

A massive kitchen diner with large cooker, great supply of kitchen eqpt to cook/prepare anything. House was warm, comfortable. We used it as a home for 10 days waiting for our house purchase to complete. Would recommend as a great place to stay.

  • Spacious accomodation with period features, close to local amenities. Layout worked well for our group of 4 adults and 1 teenager. 2 reception rooms and kitchen diner on ground floor. 3 x double bedrooms and bathroom (cubicle shower, whb and wc) on first floor. Front two bedrooms have interconnecting door, which . Property is on main road. Noise from passing traffic was notable, but did not cause a problem. Hot water for shower runs off small tank, notice advised usually enough for 2-3 consecutive showers. Large groups would need to plan shower use or run risk of a cold shower!! Property and stay overall was ideal for our 2 night stay whilst visiting friends. Thank you Sam for use of your home.

It is good for the monthly farmers market, Lincoln, Hull, Beverly or the coast. Lots of cafes, pubs and small shops. A good place to relax. Easy travel to Hull City of Culture events. • One of if not the best Airbnb's I have stayed in. Would highly recommend

  • This house is absolutely amazing. The location is very peaceful, the area is outstanding. There are local shops within walking distance and supermarkets within about 15-20 minutes by car. The house is very well kept, it has all the amenities that would make your stay comfortable, from a fully equipped kitchen, large garden area, big living room etc. There is a stack of information in the guest visitor guide including several takeaways that you can order from locally. The hosts were amazing left us alone during the stay but were always on hand if we had any questions. I can highly recommend this property, great location, beautiful house and great value for money.

  • The Mill was a lovely stay that was so clean and modern. Clare greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend for a nice get away into the country side.

  • The most gorgeous little apartment , Claire and Louise are both lovely and went out of their way to make our stay perfect! Would recommend to everyone!

  • Perfect if you need to escape. Brilliant hosts :)

    Cat2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 1 night and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Everything seems to have been considered, communication was clear and fast, the place was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail was spot on. We hope to be back for a longer stay next time!

    Paul2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful stylish place and surrounding area, ideal for a quiet get away.

    Jason2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here almost entirely because of the style and decor of the apartment — perfectly to our tastes, and an inspiration for a (hopefully not TOO far in the future) self-build plan of our own. Seen in the flesh, the apartment didn't disappoint: it's bright, comfortable-yet-minimal, and sparklingly clean throughout. The bathroom, though simple, has a real 'luxury hotel' vibe to it thanks in no small part to the spacious walk-in rainfall shower. The bedroom, meanwhile, is clean, comfortable, and tremendously cosy — the rain pattering down on the roof during the night of our stay sent us to sleep in minutes. The facilities at The Mill are also first-rate, making it ideal for a quiet weekend getaway from city life. There's a fully equipped kitchen complete with induction hobs, an oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and even a coffee machine. There's also WiFI and a smart TV in the living room with free access to Netflix, and the property in general benefits from a number of nice, modern touches like remote-operated blinds, skylights, and underfloor heating. Our hosts even left fresh bread, milk, and butter for us, along with some snacks in the kitchen. My only (perhaps selfish) suggestion would be that said snacks could be more suitable for vegetarian guests, too — as much as I wanted to devour the chorizo-flavour crisps that had been left for us, I couldn't because of the ingredients; and we also chose to use our own soya milk because I personally prefer not to drink cow's milk. Similarly, the coffee pod machine does produce undeniably tasty coffee, but perhaps fresh-ground coffee with paper filters (or just an old-school cafetiere) would be a more eco-friendly alternative as they would do away with the need for single-use coffee pods. But of course, I'm nitpicking here — these are of course extras, and very generous at that, and our experience at The Mill was exactly what we expected: a quiet, cosy, comfortable countryside haven with more than a dash of modern sophistication. There's not a tonne to do in the surrounding area, truth be told, but this is the kind of rental that you visit for the apartment itself, so you'll want to spend as much time as possible indoors! Thank you for a great stay!

    Ethan 2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Acorn Wood was fantastic! We stayed in the pod which was perfect. The pod had everything you need for a comfortable stay including a comfy double bed and BBQ. Heather made sure that the pod had everything it needed for our stay to be as easy as possible. We did bring plates, pans etc but wasn’t needed as all was provided. The area the pod is based in was lovely with fishing lake and log cabin to sit in. We really enjoyed a morning walk down there to feed the ducks. The campsite is clearly very looked after and you can tell by the facilities and surroundings! We will defiantly be returning and have recommended to friends and family. Next time we will be back to try the ‘cassie’ caravan along with family in the pod and shepherds hut! Thanks for a lovely stay!

  • I have just spent the most relaxing and pleasant weekend here and was made to feel most welcome, it was like coming home to family. Paul and Donna were great, making sure I was happy and settled in. Heather is lovely and was keen to ensure I had everything I needed. The campsite is clean and well cared for and has so many welcoming and personal touches, such as a nice gift soap with the towels, and milk in the fridge, it made me feel very welcome and at home. I will be returning myself and will certainly be recommending this site and hosts. It was fantastic.
