At Setcops Farm Cottages we offer a one bedroom apartment with a double bed for up-to two guests staying, perfect for a weekend break or home from home whilst working in the area. With spacious self catering facilities and free WiFi our accommodation is a private and peaceful retreat set amidst beautiful fields and countryside. We’re ideally located to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds and East Coast.
Each apartment is spacious and fully equipped for self catering and has a private bathroom. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine, Cooking pans and utensils are provided.
On the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB we offer a peaceful retreat to get away from it all. There are plenty of country pubs serving delicious food close by, and some excellent walking and cycling routes to explore on the doorstep. Our nearest town of Brigg is just 6 miles away with supermarkets, shops, a swimming pool and a very pleasant Wetherspoons, The White Horse for excellent value food and drinks. Setcops Farm is located just 35 minutes by car to visit Lincoln, with it's historic Cathedral and Castle and The Usher Gallery. Other local attractions include : Brigg Garden Centre, Cadwell Park, Uncle Henry's Farm Shop, Normanby Hall, Hemswell Antiques Centre, Hall Farm Park, Wild Pines Park, Elsham Hall Activity Centre and Market Rasen Racecourse which is just 10 miles away.

    My place is close to the town centre of this historic little market town, but very quiet in the countrside. TV and kettle in the room. There is a parking space. It is good for the monthly farmers market, Lincoln, Hull, Beverly or the coast. Lots of cafes, pubs and small shops. A good place to relax. Easy travel to Hull City of Culture events. Please note the nearest railway station is Barnetby. Transport can be arranged. Continental breakfast is offered.
    Two bedrooms available, one under another listing. This double bedroom has own T.V. The main bathroom has just been modernised and is light and airy, a separate toilet; also a shower room with wash basin and toilet. A downstairs toilet available. Locks are now inside all bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets.
    A quiet road leading to fields.

    A beautiful 18th Century brick barn. Spacious and light, open plan kitchen, dining table and comfortable living area with a large open log fire and a 49" TV with Netflix. Set in 150 acres of private unspoilt woodland and pasture, great for walks & picnics. Heating, free wifi and ample parking. On the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. 10 minutes to the M180, 20 minutes to the Humber Bridge and 30 minutes to Lincoln.
    With original beams, luxurious decor and antique furniture The Barn has been tastefully converted to provide comfortable accommodation with it's own entrance and ample parking. We don't offer any other accommodation for rent on the property making it an extra unique experience for you. The building has over 1,500 square feet so space is no problem and the large living area is great for nights in with an open log fire and large TV with Netflix, underfloor heating, as well as a dining table and an open plan kitchen with a fan oven, microwave, hob, fridge, dishwasher and all cooking implements, cuttlery etc.. Upstairs the very large Master bedroom has an oak King size sleigh bed, large wardrobe and a sofa bed. There is an option for two single beds to be set up in this room as well as the sofa bed to make it into a room for 4 or 6 if you are a group of friends wishing to stay together or have lots of children! The bathroom has a luxurious large bath with hand held shower, sink and loo. The second bedroom has a King size bed which can be turned into two single beds and a wardrobe, next to it is a shower room with a large shower, sink and loo. Outside there is a patio garden area with a relaxing corner bench area, table and chairs and a large gas bbq with lovely views across the farm for you to enjoy sunny days and warm evenings. The farm is a safe haven to relax and play, walk dogs off the lead with stunning endless views and secluded woods with seating to while the time away, watch the sun set or just chat with friends - a truly rural retreat and a perfect place to unwind. We have friendly horses and dogs who always appreciate some attention as well as chickens, guinea fowl and cats roaming around. If you plan to arrive late and need any food or drink supplies just let us know 48 hours before and we can usually help, we can provide a continental breakfast for £10/head and can provide home made suppers and wine with advance notice, poa. Only a short walk away to Howsham (half on our farm and half on the road) you can get to a lovely Cafe serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea and supper as well as yummy ice creams. We offer bike and helmet hire at £20 per bike for the day. Biking in the area is very popular due to the abundance of quiet back roads and flat going, we can offer secure storage for bicycles if you bring your own. There is a tennis court also for hire £10 for 2 hours and if you would like to hire tennis rackets and balls we can also provide these for £5 for 4 rackets and balls. We also have accommodation for horses for those of you who would like to bring your own four legged friend. With use of a ménage and show jumps as well as a cross country course spread over 150 acres. If you would like lessons we have a professional instructor too!
    Set in the middle of 150 acres the farm is surrounded by farmland and boasts stunning, uninterrupted views for miles. As well as beautiful woodland and pasture right outside your door to walk round you can also drive a short distance to join the famous Viking Way footpath. Our farm is situated between the pretty small market towns of Caistor and Brigg, both with free short term parking where you can find an abundance of local produce and information on the area. Hemswell Antique Centre, which boasts Europe’s largest selection of dealers, is only 20 minutes away. Your stay here will be peaceful, enchanting and relaxing. It’s an ideal place to stay if you want a peaceful and relaxing getaway and Jess includes plenty of thoughtful touches to make your stay special. Highly recommended!

  • This beautiful place exceeded all of our expectations. We received a warm welcome from Jessica and the personal touches made our stay extra special. Home made pizza, use of the tennis courts and the delicious chocolate cake were wonderful touches. Our very energetic dog had as much fun as all of us with wonderful walks and the small touches such as dog towels and treats made everything so much easier. The house is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. Would recommend this place to anyone, from couples to families and dogs! We will definitely be returning.

    Period property, ex farm cottage, has been completely stripped down to bare brickwork inside and out - completely refurbished internally, open range cooker, exposed beams in lounge and kitchen, everything is refitted from roof to the ceramic tiles to all down stairs floors. There is an additional down stairs cloakroom and wet room with shower. The down stairs lounge which is shared has exposed beams - inglenook fire place, mood lighting - roaring log fire in winter. Plenty of off road parking.

We are within 5 mins to the Market town of Brigg, 15 mins from Scunthorpe, 30 mins to Hull and Grimsby 40 mins to the historic City of Lincoln 5 mins to Barnetby Station and 10 mins to Humberside Airport. The village pub is a couple of mins walk away. A Postmill in the Village can be visited by appointment. There are public footpaths for a nice walk.

The barn consists of three modern apartments which are ideal for both short and lengthy stays. Our apartments are The Gables (2 bed), The Mill (1 bed), The Smithy (1 bed). The Mill has been renovated to a high standard providing a contemporary feel whilst maintaining the original exposed beams and features where possible.

As you’d expect with us being located in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, The Old Granary offers easy access to a range of superb local walks and cycle routes.

  • We stayed here almost entirely because of the style and decor of the apartment — perfectly to our tastes, and an inspiration for a (hopefully not TOO far in the future) self-build plan of our own. Seen in the flesh, the apartment didn't disappoint: it's bright, comfortable-yet-minimal, and sparklingly clean throughout. The bathroom, though simple, has a real 'luxury hotel' vibe to it thanks in no small part to the spacious walk-in rainfall shower. The bedroom, meanwhile, is clean, comfortable, and tremendously cosy — the rain pattering down on the roof during the night of our stay sent us to sleep in minutes. The facilities at The Mill are also first-rate, making it ideal for a quiet weekend getaway from city life. There's a fully equipped kitchen complete with induction hobs, an oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and even a coffee machine. There's also WiFI and a smart TV in the living room with free access to Netflix, and the property in general benefits from a number of nice, modern touches like remote-operated blinds, skylights, and underfloor heating. Our hosts even left fresh bread, milk, and butter for us, along with some snacks in the kitchen. My only (perhaps selfish) suggestion would be that said snacks could be more suitable for vegetarian guests, too — as much as I wanted to devour the chorizo-flavour crisps that had been left for us, I couldn't because of the ingredients; and we also chose to use our own soya milk because I personally prefer not to drink cow's milk. Similarly, the coffee pod machine does produce undeniably tasty coffee, but perhaps fresh-ground coffee with paper filters (or just an old-school cafetiere) would be a more eco-friendly alternative as they would do away with the need for single-use coffee pods. But of course, I'm nitpicking here — these are of course extras, and very generous at that, and our experience at The Mill was exactly what we expected: a quiet, cosy, comfortable countryside haven with more than a dash of modern sophistication. There's not a tonne to do in the surrounding area, truth be told, but this is the kind of rental that you visit for the apartment itself, so you'll want to spend as much time as possible indoors! They provided very thoughtful touches for our two small children, took time from their day to share more about the farm operation and offered lots of local tips/ideas for our family while we were visiting. This space is in the midst of a working farm- there are people working, tractors, etc- but seemed quite respectful of typical quiet hours even though it was harvest season. Our family was not at all inconvenienced by noise, other guests or farm work during our time here. We loved how remote this space was, local eateries or groceries are a quick drive. The kitchen is very well appointed and you could easily cook for a family or even a small group- loved having a few options for making coffee and even some cozy spaces outdoors to enjoy a morning coffee or drink at the end of the day. You are close to local hiking trails and great views. If you get the chance, stay. It’s beautiful and you’re hosted by some of the kindest people we have met.

Every detail about the space has been so thoughtfully considered to make guests feel welcome and comfortable and it's full of those extra special touches that really elevate a trip. Louise and Clare are great hosts, promptly on hand to offer local suggestions for sightseeing, places to eat and even a tour of the farm (if you ask nicely!). The weather wasn't the best so we headed to Lincoln, great place to visit and the cottage is close enough for day trips without having to stay in the busy centre. With great friendly hosts and a lovely place I would recommend it to anyone!

A town is a quick drive nearby if you need any necessities and there's the Viking Way walk which has some great sights and greenery. Would definitely recommend this place and would also go again. The only thing I would say is be careful on the spiral staircase as it can be a little slippy with socks on! Haha.

The garden itself is absolutely incredible, we loved wandering around in it in the evenings. The cottage is walking distance to a nearby pub was great as we were able to visit for a drink one afternoon. The cottage is cosy, but spacious and spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a visit to Lincolnshire. We will definitely be back again next time we’re visiting grandparents in England!

  • A wonderful stay in an almost fairy-tale garden setting. The cottage is a studio - one large, light-filled room, separated by clever use of furniture rather than walls. Extremely comfortable, and linked by large windows to the fantastic garden outside. Incredible variety of flowers, shrubs and trees. Loved lounging on a very comfortable bed, gazing out to the garden and all the way to the hills. Well located for good walks into the wolds, which we took following the host's careful instructions. The host was extremely responsive - little touches like breakfast fixings including two varieties of homemade jams and one marmalade. All this made it perhaps our best Airbnb stay ever. We hated to leave and would love to go back.

  • The Roomtel airbnb is located in the centre of Brigg's market place, within a minutes' walking distance of various shops, restaurants and pubs. The kitchen and lounge areas were both well-kept and felt very homely. I didn't meet the owners during my stay (I could enter both the front door and bedroom door with different keycodes provided), but they gave me their telephone number and invited me to message them with any queries/problems. The room itself was beyond my expectations - it larger than expected, beautiful and had a lovely view of the river Ancholme/Brigg bridge over the river. Walls are a little bit on the thin side, but not so much to warrant any complaints - the en-suite shower and bathroom were a little better than expected for the price point. If you're reading this and thinking about stopping in Brigg, I'd definitely recommend staying here - you won't regret it. If the need arises, I'll gladly come back.

    The property is situated in the centre of Caistor ,an unspoilt Georgian market town. Caistor has a host of lovely little shops with a few very nice bars/pubs, coffee shops and restaurants that are all less than 2 minutes walk from the property. Staying here offers a good base for lovely walks around the Lincolnshire wolds, a designated [AONB ]. Nearby is Lincoln one of England's finest cathedral cities. Cadwell park racing circuit (20 mins drive) & Humberside Airport (10 mins drive).
    The driveway approaching our property is steep please note .The accommodation is all inside a 17th century coaching inn and is full of character. We have A fully fitted kitchen with a two oven stove and a aga which can be switched on if staying for a week at an extra cost , a microwave, toaster ect, along with 4 bedrooms one as a twin bedded room or a king size bed please on booking state wether you require it as a twin bed or king,I have two single bedded rooms and a loft conversion recently refurbished to expose the original beams the room now has a free standing bath and the beds can be used as twin bedded room or the bed can be converted to a King size bed. The stairs up to the loft conversion are very steep.PLEASE NOTE I can only accommodate (6 )people plus an infant in this property no more . Thank you

  • We had a lovely 2 night stay at Cheryl's cottage; it was a great base to explore the wider area. The cottage is really cute and very well equipped, including quite a bit of food which was appreciated. The loft conversion is really quirky and the kids enjoyed the free-standing bath! Downstairs did get a little cold but there are plug-in heaters that keep the place warm. Parking is easy and there were always spaces in the car park adjacent to the property. We left some baby bottles at the accommodation and Cheryl sent them straight back, which was appreciated.

A fully stocked fridge and super little pantry meant I didnt have to fuss about getting breakfast in the first few days. Wonderful touches for the young children - multi pack cereals, mini yoghurts, cheese and bread. Tea and coffee all there along with jams, sauces, gravy granules, tea towels, kitchen roll (I could go on etc.) Children loved superhero bedding and audio books. A little home away from home. Cheryl and her family are lovely. Highly recommend.

  • This place is huge and was absolutely perfect for a large group of old Uni mates to get together with their families. Presumably this place is run as a B&B in summer, but then the whole place is let out in winter and was spot on for us. There's a good mix of rooms so that kids could have their own rooms if needed or if younger they could bunk in with their mum and dad. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cooking utensils to allow us to prepare meals. And there was plenty of social space for sitting and playing games. Tim was an excellent host who answered all questions promptly via text both before and after arrival. If you are a large group of people looking for a reasonably priced get away then I would recommend this place highly.

  • Tim's a very friendly and hospitable host. We were so pleased with this property. It is better than we had envisioned and/or that the photos provide. Rooms were exceptional, all ensuite, and in general great space throughout the property. There were 21 people in our party and we could all be in the kitchen chatting, in the dining room eating, or spread out in the lounge and games room. In addition there is a lovely pub in Briggs, The Yarborough Hunt, with a good selection of beer and ample seating. Or if you are looking for a terrific meal try Hope & Anchor in South Ferriby. As part of our exploration we took a walk along the canal in Briggs which has quite a bit of wildlife , and in South Ferriby we followed the footpath out to the Humber Bridge. All in all a terrific weekend.

  • Panjaks home is in a lovely little village, very quiet and peaceful. The home is very comfy and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Panjak was extremely helpful and very welcoming, he took a late booking from us and went out of his way to give advice as to where to eat and not to worry what time we arrived, which was very kind of him. Our room was very comfortable with everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the shower was really good, we also really appreciated the en-suite. We only stayed a night and wish we could have stayed longer. We can highly recommend Panjaks home for anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you so much Panjak for your hospitality, we enjoyed our brief stay in your lovely home.

Beautiful views and walks, we visited a traditional seaside resort at Cleethorpes and a wonderful cathedral at Lincoln (use park and ride). The facilities at the cottage a a real treat with a welcome tray of local produce and my daughter very impressed with the coffee maker! very comfortable beds, super waterfall shower and lovely bathtub. I haven't been to Lincolnshire for many years and I may return!

    The Old Granary is a family run, high quality, contemporary converted barn located on a working potato farm in the rural village of Owmby, North Lincolnshire. The barn consists of three modern apartments which are ideal for both short and lengthy stays. Our apartments are The Gables (2 bed), The Mill (1 bed), The Smithy (1 bed). The Smithy has been renovated to a high standard providing a contemporary feel whilst maintaining the original exposed beams and features where possible.
    At The Smithy, self-catering is made extremely easy with fridge/freezer, cooker and induction hob, Nespresso machine, washing machine, ironing board, iron and clothes airer, smart TV, bluetooth speaker, and complimentary high speed wi-fi. As you’d expect with us being located in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, The Old Granary offers easy access to a range of superb local walks and cycle routes.
    We are located in the rural and beautiful village of Owmby based on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. As you’d expect with us being located in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, The Old Granary offers easy access to a range of superb local walks and cycle routes. National Route 1 is a particular favourite of ours when it comes to cycling, while the Viking Way is a fantastic route for keen walkers just five minutes walk away. The Old Granary is on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds which can provide a vast choice of walking routes with pubs along the way. On the farm we have 4km of Permissive Rights of Way which guests are welcome to use. Please note that these are closed for six days a year.
  • We had a very comfortable 3 night stay at the Smithy. Clare was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We booked very short notice and that appeared to be no problem. There was Milk, butter, bread, tea and coffee pods for the nespresso machine and a little basket of other complimentary goodies which was a lovely touch. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom were lovely too, with plenty of space and storage. We went for a lovely walk whilst we were there.   • I could not recommend this place any more! Such a beautiful place, modern and comfortable. On arrival we walked in to a freshly baked loaf of bread and a tray of breakfast goodies, biscuits and tea bags (Yorkshire tea woo!). This was much appreciated as we forgot to bring breakfast. There is also a coffee machine with pods provided and a bottle of milk in the fridge. Comfortable bed, cannot complain!
