The HotTub Hideaway is a perfect romantic retreat. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide magnificent views over the countryside and is very private. The Hideaway is pet friendly and has secure fencing. If you are having a night in, why not turn the Smart TV round, connect the speaker and watch TV whilst chilling in the hot tub ❤️❤️. Let me know if you are booking for more than one night as we offer good discounts for multiple night stays.
The space is ideal for a private romantic getaway in beautiful Herefordshire. The bedroom windows open fully and lead directly onto the decking. & hot tub. There will be cutlery and crockery available if you choose to bring your own food or have a takeaway delivered. Both the main room and wet room have thermostated underfloor heating.

A luxury hideaway in the grounds of an old cider producing Herefordshire farmhouse, Woodcutters Cottage provides a great base to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Wye Valley. Cheltenham Racecourse is within easy reach for the Festival in March as well as other festivals for the non-horsey throughout the year - jazz, science and literary. Hay festival is also close enough to use this gorgeous cottage as a base. Dogs welcome by prior arrangement.
Woodcutters Cottage is situated between Ross-on-Wye and Hereford and is in the centre of Cider producing country. This very private and cosy cottage makes an ideal base to explore the area, or as an ideal stop on the Wye Valley Walk which runs along the edge of our land. The cottage is fully equipped and self-contained with all the comforts of home. It is self-catering and we provide a welcome breakfast basket of bread, bacon and eggs for you to prepare your own breakfast. Local villages of Woolhope and Fownhope boast inviting pubs with good local beer and cider and a village shop and post office in Fownhope will have all the basics you may need for your holiday. Hereford with its beautiful cathedral is 8 miles away and the city is well worth a visit. Westons Cider is only a few miles away and tours can be booked so you can see how our delicious local cider is produced. Canoeing on the Wye River is easy to organise during the Summer and is a peaceful way to spend a day enjoying the countryside. We are easy to get to with the M50 only a few miles away.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful, on the doorstep is the Wye Valley Walk. Local market towns of Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye are within easy reach - and the Malvern Hills, Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons are a short drive away. You may want to: - visit Westons cider in Much Marcle village - canoe on the riverWye - visit Hereford Cathedral to see the Mappa Mundi
  • This cottage is absolutely gorgeous. Although it has one bedroom, the layout makes it feel more spacious. Three of us stayed for 2 nights. Kirstie was kind enough to put a mattress in the bedroom, for our teenage daughter. It is spotlessly clean, homely and the log burning stove was cosy. The added bonus of a downstairs shower room together with a spacious bathroom upstairs, is useful. The chocolate brownies were scrumptious, together with the pint of milk, bread, bacon, eggs and marmalade. Kirstie was friendly and informative before we arrived, even taking the time to send me a video to explain how to manoeuvre our trailer! Her family and the pooches, made us feel very welcome. The location was ideal as we were taking part in an event, close by. Set in beautiful countryside, it is close enough to a few local excellent pubs. There's plenty of walks around the area and Ledbury isn't far. A great stay that I would highly recommend to others. Thank you.

    Claire2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cottage in stunning countryside. Easy check-in and lovely to have some milk and breakfast items awaiting us. Great amenities with the added bonus of two bathrooms. Super comfy bed, and gorgeous soft furnishings. The nearby pub The Crown, does great food and has a lovely, friendly landlord. Highly recommend this AirBnB.

    Abi2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting, very cosy and the host was excellent. Lovely little touches upon our arrival and was very catering for our dog.

    Olivia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and very stylish retreat set in beautiful surroundings. Opening the velux window looking out to an enchanted wood and seeing fawns running ahead of you on the drive up to the cottage where highlights. The cottage is spotless, fresh flowers, breakfast in the morning, a vast array of housey mags added to the sumptuousness of the cottage. Kirstie is lovely and we even had homemade brownies upon arrival left for us. I’d definitely recommend anyone to stay here. It’s quite a magical place! 💫

    Charlotte2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay at the Woodcutters Cottage! The cottage is perfect for 2 people (and dog!), clean, quiet and in beautiful countryside. Thanks to Kirstie for having us stay!

Welsh Cottage is surrounded by beautiful and tranquil countryside, we can’t guarantee you’ll sleep better than you ever have, but there’s a good chance you will! It’s an idyllic place to get away from it all.
Close to the M5/M50, yet rural and peaceful. Just a few steps down the lane is Aylton’s historic 12th century church, which is definitely worth a look for its beautiful sundial at the very least. And there are so many walks in the surrounding countryside that we couldn’t possibly get into them all here. We do, however, have a very well stocked ‘library’ of walks, OS maps, guides and more – just delve in and find something fantastic to do. We are also close by to the Malvern Hills, Three Counties Showground, Hartpury College and Eastnor Castle.
  • Fabulous setting for a relaxing and peaceful time away. We had our Lurcher with us and despite being in the smallest of the apartments, we were all happy had plenty of space. Breakfast in the sunshine each morning surrounded by beautiful nature was a real treat. Ledbury is very close by and their immediate surrounding area is lovely for a stroll and dog walk. Love the old church too :)

  • A delightful warm, cosy cottage in peaceful surroundings. A well equipped kitchen, comfy armchairs, an even comfier bed with good quality bed linen and also a bath to soak away the aches of walking through the lovely countryside. • Our hosts made everything incredibly easy. Beautiful location, cosy cottage with everything you might need, and very comfortable bed! When Ciara drove us indoors, this was a wonderfully warm hub in which to snuggle down. And when the weather broke, the meandering country lanes nearby were great to explore.

The last time was in summer but it was just as perfect as a winter getaway - incredibly cosy with the wood burner roaring & a plentiful supply of logs delivered to the door along with fresh eggs from the hens! The space has everything I needed for a restful retreat - well equipped kitchen, incredibly comfortable bed for deep sleep, beautiful views, wonderful walks, peace & space to think & even in winter the garden is really inspiring. • I booked Little Canwood House for a family get together to celebrate my mothers 60th. The cottage was a lovely escape to the country with charming features throughout. Every last detail has been thought through and my whole family had a wonderful time, even the little ones were sad to leave! Would love to stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in the English countryside. Thanks again to Andrea for her wonderful support through email and whatsapp to answer all of our questions within the hour without exception. Thoroughly enjoyed!

  • A very welcoming and beautifully decorated home in the English countryside. Clean and warm house. Thoughtfully filled gift basket of pantry supplies and treats waiting when we arrived. It was quite muddy and wet on the weekend of our stay, but the house was so comfortable we had a great time playing board games and hanging out indoors anyway! We enjoyed our weekend stay very much. Thanks Charmaine!

  • This is the ideal spot for a family get together in the countryside. We were 5 adults and a 1 year old and the space felt just perfect: plenty of lounging areas, a big kitchen and dining space, large lawns and a games room to keep everyone entertained, both children and adults. We were here in summer and really enjoyed all the outdoor space and bbq area but it would be so cosy in winter as well. Charmaine responded very quickly to any queries we had and left a gorgeous basket of goodies for our arrival - a perfect host. Thank you so much. Everyone in our party was very happy and had an extremely relaxing weekend.

  • Natalie’s place was absolutely fantastic, everything we had hoped for! It was spotless when we arrived, with lovely additional touches like slippers to wear and lovely bath and shower gel. The area was fantastic for a winter walk, we will definitely be returning in the summer to enjoy it in the sun. Natalie’s place was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and wow do we feel relaxed! Can’t wait to return, would recommend.

  • Natalie’s place is an absolute gem - beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Natalie was helpful before we arrived and check in was nice and easy. We were left to it when we arrived but it was nice to have a quick visit from Natalie’s husband to check that we had everything we needed. The building itself is absolutely lovely. The heating was on when we arrived so it was nice and cosy and we put the fire on later in the evening to keep warm. The bed was comfy and the place had everything we needed for our one night stay. I wish we had a few more days to enjoy Natalie’s place and properly visit the local area. But I guess that means we’ll have to come back - which won’t be such a bad thing! Thanks again Natalie!

  • Lovely place, neat and tidy. Host was very helpful and I'd recommend the breakfast hamper. Think you for a wonderful stay.

  • A lovely place with a great style in a beautiful setting near Ledbury. Nathalie welcomed us with a log fire and we soon sank in to the comfy sofas and watched telly for the evening. The next day we explored Ledbury and saw a lovely sunset as well meeting her gorgeous dogs. The cottage was a pleasure to stay in and I would totally recommend, and stay again.

Welcome to our newly converted Stables and Hayloft. Overlooking the Hop Kilns gardens and duck pond and beautiful Herefordshire countryside, the self-catering accommodation consists of a (super king size) bedroom and spacious modern bathroom with free standing bath. Upstairs there is an open plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area with bifold doors opening onto the south facing oak balcony with rural views. TV, wifi and bluetooth music system, parking. Sorry no pets and no smoking.
It’s a quiet and relaxing place, surrounded by farmland, perfect for a romantic getaway. The building has been designed with comfort in mind, but also character. There are several original features, the tables are made from the old stable and hayloft doors, a section of hay rack is in the bedroom and the cubby holes originally used for candles are now featured in the hall and bedroom. Z shaped side tables have been made from leftover cedar stable wall panels, the rest have been combined with the elm floor boards to make the upstairs flooring. We are only a mile and a half from Ledbury with its lovely pubs, restaurants and shops. The Malvern Hills are a 10 minute drive away and great for a walk and lunch at the Malvern Hills Hotel. Eastnor Castle is also about 10 mins drive, with its maze, gardens and indoor tours of the castle.
We are in countryside surrounded by farms but also convenient for a five minute drive into Ledbury with its quaint shops, cobbled streets and lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants. There is a lovely organic farm shop two doors away where you can buy eggs and seasonal vegetables using an honesty box. There are also walks around the fields and down to the river so do bring your wellies!
  • We would highly recommend staying here! The barn conversion is done to a very high standard and has everything you need for a peaceful stay. Amanda was a great host and was on hand for anything we needed. Just fab! We loved it.

  • Fantastic high quality accommodation Great views from upstairs balcony Superb bathroom - better than in most high end homes Amazing welcome pack Always warm inside even without wood burner on Faultless

  • The apartment is a real gem. My wife and I spent a wonderful 6 days here. There is a large living room with a fully equipped open kitchen, great views and a fireplace. The evenings in particular were very cozy. The apartment has been furnished with great attention to detail and is beautifully decorated. Furthermore, it was really clean everywhere, so we felt right at home. At the beginning we received a basket that was filled with delicious regional food. We were therefore warmly welcomed by Richard. Communication via airbnb was also great. The Malvern Hills can be reached by car in a few minutes and are great for hiking. Groceries can be bought in Ledbury or in the farm shop next door. We loved to cook with the fresh, regional vegetables next door. Overall, the accommodation is highly recommended.

  • Such a great stay with spectacular attention to detail. It felt so luxurious and was completely immaculate and even had a lovely welcoming hamper. Amanda and Richard made us feel so welcome and gave us some great local recommendations and we even got to meet their lovely doggy - thanks for such a fab long weekend away, would 100% come back without hesitation in the future. Your place is amazing and in such a great location.

  • Haylofts was just as amazing the second time round for us! Amanda has created a wonderful and warm space that is perfect for couples amidst incredible scenery. A tranquil, pretty cottage with stunning views, private garden and BBQ, in the picturesque village of Fownhope, near the River Wye. Sit in cosy comfort contemplating the outstanding natural beauty with all its wildlife. Superbly situated for walking, cycling, canoeing, fishing or bird watching. Lock up garage to store equipment. Stroll along the lane to two pubs for drinks and meals, or pamper at Wye Leisure Health Club. Central to other interesting villages. NO CLEANING CHARGE
At the end of a quiet lane, drive into the spacious parking area and enter Ferryboat Cottage through your private blue front door to the open plan sitting-room and kitchen. It is self-catering, but, milk, eggs, bread, tea and coffee will await. Walk in and immediately appreciate the stunning views over fields towards the church steeple and hills beyond. The staircase leads down to the bedroom - with a super king sized bed which can be separated to make two single beds, and great view of garden. The bathroom, including both shower and bath, is beside the sitting-room. Through the back door you can sit in the sun on the private patio, and a few steps below, your garden has a stream passing through, as well as another wild grass area across the bridge.
From the moment you step outside the world (or Fownhope) is your oyster. Enjoy a drink or meal in either of the two pubs or Wye Leisure Health Club after exploring the mysterious Haugh woods, strolling along the banks of the River Wye, or even paddling your way down in a canoe hired from nearby Luxhall. Maps will guide you through endless, ever-changing terrain - become one with nature. Beauty treatments can be booked in advance at Wye Leisure Health Spa and with the church, playing fields and swings, medical centre, well stocked local shop and a butcher in the village, one could argue that there's something for everyone in Fownhope! And the adventure doesn't end there. Within a short drive or a cycle ride you can visit Hereford (Mappa Mundi), Ledbury, Brockhampton Arts and Crafts church, Much Marcle Cider Mill, Ross-on-Wye, Hay-on-Wye (for Hay festival and book lovers), Malvern and many other interesting sites and seasonal events (all listed in your information packs).
  • My husband and I spent a weekend staying at Anne’s little cottage. It was absolutely perfect, lovely location (we can highly recommend eating at the Green Man pub in the village), immaculate condition and cleanliness, and a very peaceful spot, with lovely views over the fields. Anne was a very kind host, who was very responsive from the outset and who on arrival kindly welcomed us. Highly recommended if you would like a peaceful escape!

  • A wonderful holiday home in a beautiful quiet location with a stunning view and a very hospitable host. Recommended! We stayed here for six days during the New Year.

    Marcus2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleased with our choice. We had everything we needed and were cosy and warm as this was a Christmas break. Ann was a super host, providing lots of little extras like milk and bread, also a Christmas tree and fairy lights. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The downstairs bedroom was novel!! We felt it was our own private space even though we were attached to the family residence. Lovely open aspect from the lounge. We would book again

    Susan2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Anne's cottage is a welcoming and cosy place to relax and recoup in the beautiful Hereford area. The cottage is set at the end of a lane overlooking picturesque fields. My partner and I enjoyed two restful nights in the cottage (some of the best sleep we've had in a long time!) after visiting nearby Bath on the drive over and fishing on the river Wye. The bread, eggs, milk and tea and coffee were a lovely touch after a long journey! We had a fantastic meal in the Green Man pub which is about a 5 min walk from the cottage. We will definitely be staying here again. Absolutely perfect.

In 2012 Little Rock Barn was beautifully converted into a modern functional space with luxury bathrooms, while retaining the character of the original dairy with vaulted ceilings and stone walls. Being located in the Wye Valley, this is an ideal place for those wishing to walk, cycle, canoe or just explore the hidden gems of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The open plan layout creates a light and airy space. Under floor heating throughout and a lovely wood burner offers a cosy atmosphere. The barn has ample space for parking and a garden with patio area. From the front door and garden there is a stunning view of the Wye Valley and surrounding countryside. We can provide a travel cot on request. Please ask us about any other requirements you may have. ***Check out our other listing - Lower Rock Barn***
The barn is set in an estate with other barn conversions on a non working farm - you may spot a few sheep who are around to keep the grass down. The city of Hereford and the market towns of Ross on Wye, Ledbury and Newent are within easy driving distance and the near-by villages of Fownhope and Much Marcle have excellent country pubs. Although set in unspoilt countryside, the barn is approximately a 10 minute drive from the M50.

Andrew the host was prompt with answering my messages and accommodated any requests that I had so I’m extremely grateful for that. This unique 17th c. gothic Tower has recently been faithfully restored to its former glory as a romantic Summerhouse. Set in it's own beautiful Victorian Walled Garden on the private Homme House estate, it enjoys spectacular views of the Malvern Hills.
The Summerhouse is a unique, 17th century stone garden building. It has a Lower Bedroom Chamber with four poster bed and Upper Drawing Room Chamber, accessed via a stone spiral staircase, with a wood burning stove and beautiful views over Homme's Walled Garden and the surrounding countryside. A separate, private bathroom building is metres away through a gate in the Walled Garden wall, offering a wet room with drencher shower, basin and loo, as well as an outside sink for washing up. Guests are welcome to use our recycled Kadai firebowl as a BBQ or fire (only firewood fuel is supplied). The firebowl is situated on a patio on the south facing wall of the Walled Garden along with teak patio furniture and candle lanterns. A continental breakfast hamper is delivered to the Summerhouse at the time of guests' choosing in the morning. Note that the Summerhouse is a Grade I listed building without plumbing or electricity in the Upper Chamber, and as a garden building occasionally visited by an insect or two! Given this, and the outside walk to its bathroom, the Summerhouse is a romantic overnight stay suited to those interested in unique, glamping style experiences.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with excellent local produce markets, market towns and country pubs. There was something about just cosying up in front of the fire with a glass of wine with no WiFi or TV that was just magical. The places itself it absolutely stunning, and if you get a clear night then the stars are so bright. This was the perfect place for a mini getaway and Charlie and Sarah were just wonderful hosts.

  • After a long 2 week travelling holiday, we wanted a get away for a night to relax before heading home. This is not an understatement, best Airbnb i have stayed in. The touches, the setting and everythin was perfect. Sarah showed us around and left us to explore and settle in, we went to local pub for a drink and came backto relax by the fire and watch the sun go down. Breakfast was amazing, dont change anything, exactly what you want. Sitting outside enjoying a coffee and homemade jam and juices alongside some croissants was just perfect If you have a chance to stay here, DO IT

  • What a place! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful evening sat outside with a fire in the Kadai bowl and a bottle of wine. Couldn't have asked for a better setting with the calmness and beauty of the garden and summerhouse. We had an amazing breakfast, Sarah and Charlie even made sure there were vegan choices for myself. We were instantly made to feel welcome by Sarah who was very friendly and gave us a quick tour of the place. I can't recommend enough! We will be back for sure!

  • Beautiful location, a real experience of a stay. We stayed for one night and the hospitality was above and beyond. Fresh flowers, the best breakfast, gorgeous views. We thought it might get a bit chilly at night but the bedding fully compensates and keeps you nice and toasty. Lovely walks nearby. As the other reviews have mentioned, you really need the glamping mindset. This is not like anywhere else we have ever stayed and is 100% like travelling back in time.

  • Wow! What an enchanting magical place! We’ve stayed in a lot of Air B n B’s over the years but this is definitely the best one we’ve ever stayed in. Charlie and Sarah added so many thoughtful touches that made our stay unforgettable. Totally unique, perfect for a romantic get away, we will definitely come back again one day and highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for something really special.

  • Such an amazing place to stay! The summerhouse and walled garden was like living in a fairytale for the night. Beautiful location and building with thoughtful touches, and Charlie was a friendly and helpful host. We loved our stay!

  • Had the best stay at the Shepherd’s Hut. Both the hut and Jules home are lovely and it’s a really different experience. The wood burner makes the hut so toasty, it really is the perfect cosy retreat 😊

    Grace2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a great weekend at Jules’ place! We loved everything about the farm, and the hut is perfectly suitable for two people to spend a couple of nights. You can hear a motorway, but this noise is easy to ignore. The hut is equipped with everything for bbq, and the main house with the fridge and bathroom just a step away.

    Anna2019-08-26T00:00:00Z

The picturesque village of Fownhope is flanked by the River Wye on one side and Haugh Woods on the other. Herefordshire is a wonderful county to visit with Fownhope being one of the most desirable villages in the county due to the proximity to Hereford and the M50 The house is situated in a very quiet cul-de-sac in the village itself. In less than five minutes walk you can access two country pubs, St Mary’s church, post office, local butchers and Wye Leisure Health Club.
A lovely modern home which is light, airy and quiet, ideal for exploring the local area and further afield.
The house is situated in the village itself in a very quite cul de sac. Neighbours are friendly and welcoming
  • Great place, would stay again, friendly host. Quiet street, nice village, great pub.

    Elaine2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Helen is a great host, really fast to respond and she was really accommodating when I was going to be later than planned arriving. The bed and pillows were really comfy and the shower fab in the morning. Fownhope is a lovely village too and not far from Hereford either. I’d definitely stay again.

    Helen2019-10-29T00:00:00Z

  • Helen is a very nice host. Very quick in her response and I imidiately felt welcome. She helped us with some things we needed during our stay and that was very kind of her. Even though she has a dog it's not overly present. The location is relatively far from the Hereford but if you have a car there is no reason why not to stay with Helen.

River View is a cosy cottage, full of original charm, dating back to the 1600s, but with all modern comforts, underfloor heating, woodburner, and pretty views over the Wye Valley. Recently refurbished to a high standard. Walks from the doorstep, along the Wye Valley Way or through woodland. We are between Fownhope and Mordiford. Loads of cosy pubs nearby. Ideally located for walking and relaxing. Herefordshire is unspoilt, undiscovered with no crowds! Follow us on Instagram @riverviewfownhope
All our guests have loved our cottage, as it's cosy and comfortable and well equipped. The views from the main bedroom and the garden are beautiful, and we frequently have spectacular sunsets. Downstairs is the entrance hall, bathroom, kitchen/diner, living room and single bedroom. The upstairs main bedroom has its own balcony with views.
Fiddlers Green is a small hamlet between the villages of Fownhope and Mordiford, both of which are within 30 mins walk. There are pubs in both villages and a great little shop and a butcher's in Fownhope. We overlook the end of Lucksall campsite which also has a shop and bar/restaurant in season. This is a 5 minute walk.
  • River cottage is a lovely cosy warm and welcoming place. We loved our stay and had everything we needed on the doorstep, including lovely local pubs and stunning woodland walks. We had a warm welcome with tea, biscuits and local cider and logs for the fire provided. Justine was very friendly and helpful. A great stay, we hope to go back.

  • A very homely cottage. Lovely downstairs bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. Comfy bed in a cosy, quiet bedroom. Would return.

  • Riverview Cottage was Amazing. Beautiful Old cottage outside with a fresh modern kitchen and bathroom inside with the bedroom and living room areas being very beautiful and also traditional with the exposed beams and wood burner. We spent a week here exploring the local area and it was great. Underfloor heating was very effective at keeping the cottage cosy in the middle of winter. Nice touch of eggs, cider and bikkies on arrival. Parking easy. Little pub up the road, the 'New Inn', did a Great reasonably priced meal, and we found we had a nice hostess at the pub as well as at the cottage! Could not fault this place, highly recommended.

    Jon2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage, a lovely stay. We extended from three days to a week it was so nice.

    Jon2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This looked like the perfect place for a quiet break over new year, and so it proved. The woodburner and underfloor heating make for a lovely cosy feel and the prosecco and cookies were a welcoming touch. Everything about the cottage has been carefully thought out, from the well-equipped kitchen / diner with views over the Wye valley to the comfortable bedrooms and living room. It would be great to visit in the summer when the balcony and barbecue would come into their own. We enjoyed walking into Fownhope for a pub lunch at the New Inn - good gluten-free choices, and good beer - and we bought some very good value steaks at the butcher for our New Year's Eve feast. 🙂

    Paul2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly renovated cottage with great attention to details (the cookies- a very tasty, warm welcome). The hosts are very kind and helpful too. (We found a great pub with very tasty food in the village which was a bonus - the green man) We would definitely recommend staying there, our little family of three had a really relaxed time there

    Severine2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely , very old and beautifully restored cottage which is very comfortable and has great charm. The view from the back is sublime. We also loved the balcony, the underfloor hearing and the amazing powershower! Really lovely people Justine and family who were there to welcome us and give local tips when needed but also gave us space and privacy. All in all great!

A minutes walk from the yard reveals beautiful views across the landscape and as far as the Skirrid, Abergavenny's Sacred hill. A view worth drawing/painting/photographing as varied weather and light alter the scenery. There is a lovely walk down to twin lakes, used for fishing and leisure walking approximately 10-15 minutes stroll away. An annual 'Blues' festival which benefits lots of charities is held here at the Alma Inn. • This is a very well organised and presented self-contained space, with lovely views from the kitchen/dining area. Lesley offers everything necessary for cooking and eating, with thoughtful touches like a lovely old linen cloth on the dining table. The cabin is in a quiet place, but well situated for exploring the lovely countryside. We'd happily stay here again.

    Isobel2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • It’s mine and my boyfriends second time visiting this cabin as we loved it so much the first time. Can’t recommend it more! Perfect for a little getaway and great value. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to make it due to a a lot of flooding around where we live and the communication with Lesley was outstanding. Lovely woman and lovely cabin

    Tasha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place within easy reach of M50 but with a nice rural feel. Pretty views from the cabin and birds all around including red kite. Comfortable , warm, very well equipped . We liked the retro feel of the decor. Excellent unobtrusive hosting was much appreciated, including the kindly touch of making sure a landline connection was available in case of emergency ( we had a relative in hospital). Handy for all sorts of beautiful countryside and market towns. Highly recommend a visit to the Internstional Birds of Prey centre at Newent and food at the Newent Tandoori was fab.

    Bridget2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely host with an ideal little cabin. Smart tv and Alexa made the rainy weekend not matter. Had a great cosy weekend in front of the fire. Comfy bed with heated blanket and a great sized kitchen and living room. Absolute bargain. Local curry house is exceptional and a must try.

    Tasha2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful little cabin, in a great location with an amazing countryside view a couple of steps outside the front door. It may look small, but there's plenty of space inside, and a great little deck outside for when the sun is shining. Lesley, the host, was very friendly and pointed out some great places to eat. We had an amazing time and absolutely recommend this place to anybody staying near by.

    Michael2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific little place in a gorgeous setting with lovely walks right out the front door. We spent a week here walking about 20 to 25km every day and didn't drive more than 30 minutes away. Clean and comfortable accommodation and a wonderful host - friendly, thoughtful, easy to contact but still gives you your space. The extensive provisions we were provided with were above and beyond a host's duty; we were very grateful for these kind extra touches. If you're a couple with or without a dog looking for a place in this area, I can't imagine what more you'd want than this. Thank you Lesley!

    Chris2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for couple of nights at Acorn Cabin with our two small dogs but loved every minute. It was spotlessly clean and there was fresh Soda bread, fresh eggs, milk, butter and jam waiting for us. The surrounding countryside and the view from the kitchen window is stunning. We knew Lesley was on site should we need anything although the cabin was so well equipped, we had everything we could possibly need while we were there. I loved the the fresh eggs so much that, after asking Lesley's advice about keeping hens, just two days after we've arrived home, we now have a chicken coop and two resident hens!! We would have loved to have stayed a little longer and would highly recommend Acorn Cabin as somewhere really relaxing to stay.

    Yvonne2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lesley lives up to the expectations of a super host! We loved all of the little touches, like giving us fresh eggs and bread, you can tell a lot of thought for her guests go into every detail. The farm is picturesque and just what we needed for a weekend getaway - couldn’t recommend it enough.

The self-contained Parkside Studio is on the ground floor with its own access to the garden. The house, on the edge of the cider village of Much Marcle in Herefordshire, is down a quiet lane, surrounded by a large garden, fields, Hereford cattle, and wild daffodils. Hellens Manor and Homme House are nearby. We are close to Ledbury, Great Malvern and Gloucester Stations. Bristol and Birmingham airports are easily accessible. The Black Mountains and the Malvern Hills are a short trip away.
Annie and Stephen Bull offer a fantastic, warm country setting and welcome. The studio is completely private, yet has access to the main house for a copious breakfast cooked by Stephen, Michelin star chef. The eggs are from our own chickens, and the bread is home made. Jams and jellies are made from our mulberries, quince and raspberries. Apples and plums are picked straight from the garden. A delicious slice of homemade cake greets you on arrival. We happily and knowledgeably host gluten-free guests (our daughter is a coeliac). In the studio the kingsize bed has a super comfortable mattress. Direct access to the garden allows you to come and go as you wish. We have a huge supply of maps and books on the local area. Walks are straight from the door. Parkside is very peaceful.

  • We came for a wedding at Homme House and picked this place based on reviews and location and you could not find a better place to stay for an occasion at Homme House. So close we were able to walk back in the evening. Anne and Stephen are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome throughout the stay - they even very kindly dropped us at the church for the wedding. The place is every clean and tidy and had everything you could need. Breakfast each morning was superb and a very welcome surprise! A full English breakfast with all the trimmings and a lovely selection of jams and marmalades. Couldn’t recommend highly enough - we hope to come back again and explore the area for a weekend away in the future.

The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed - it had a really good en-suite and it was great to have access to a separate living room! Their house is in a beautiful, peaceful location. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Set in it’s own private child-friendly garden yet within minutes walk to all the wonderful shops, cafes & restaurants of Ledbury it’s a perfect self- catering option for families, friends and individuals. A pretty town break on the edge of stunning countryside awaits.
The cottage was our home for 6 years and what we love about it is the bright, open plan downstairs with a lovely sense of space and the slightly hidden away feel. It’s a really easy, comfortable and surprisingly spacious home to be in. Downstairs Fully equipped kitchen at one end and relaxing living room at the other end with space in between for reading a book, chatting or playing on the floor with the children. The double doors onto the garden come into their own during spring days, when the pretty, private garden extends the space beautifully. There’s also a downstairs loo with washing machine & drier and a small hallway for muddy walking boots and coats. Upstairs Two comfortable bedrooms with luxurious en-suite bathrooms. One with a bathroom, the other with a shower room. These can each be super-king or twin with Egyptian Cotton sheets and white towels. Outside The fenced garden has a paved area with table and chairs for outside dining and relaxing. There are a few toys for children and a little play house.
Ledbury is a beautiful, thriving market town. Within minutes you can be shopping in its many stylish, independent shops (listed as one of the top 10 places in the country for Christmas shopping in The Guardian 2017) or eating in fantastic cafes and restaurants and sourcing local artisan produce from the shops and regular market stall. Ledbury Market Theatre is 100m away and regularly shows films and theatre productions. During June and July the internationally acclaimed Ledbury Poetry Festival attracts poets nationally and internationally giving a literary buzz to town with plenty of events throughout the day and evening. Stunning walks Within a few minutes you can be walking in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are walks from the cottage taking you; through woods, past rivers and up onto The Malvern Hills, with views across to Wales. Should you want suggestions, we have put together our favourite walks and we would be delighted to share them including buggy- friendly walks. Museums and history Ledbury has two small, excellent museums (check opening times) and plenty of historic buildings to explore. • Jenny's place is a wonderful home from home. Warm, comfortable, clean, stylishly presented and well equipped. The location is superb being only a stones throw from the High Street in Ledbury with its many shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and places of historic interest and culture. The local area has many excellent walking opportunities and Jenny provides plenty of information and tips for activities and things to do. I would highly recommend!

    Shirley2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny was a fantastic host! We received a warm welcome on arrival with the addition of cake which was a really nice touch after a long journey. We were visiting Ledbury for the Land Rover Experience (5min drive away) so I decided to make a weekend of it and so glad we found this gem of a place to stay! The cottage is really spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat together, with a lounge area to relax on two large sofas. Both bedrooms have en-suites, plenty of space and comfortable beds. The location is fantastic with secure, off-street parking. The cottage is a really short 5minute walk into town where there are lots of places to eat, drink and shop. Having a good supermarket just over the road came in handy too. If we return to the area we wouldn't hesitate about booking again with Jenny!

  • Our stay at the Barn House Cottage far exceeded expectations. This was a very private, quiet, secure and spacious property with all mod cons and thoughtful touches provided. Parking for two cars was ideal and there is an outdoor seating area and garden with the bonus of a clothesline. Jenny made us feel very welcome on arrival and did not intrude during our stay. The property was beautifully presented and perfect for two retired couples and an easy walk to the beautiful historic town centre of Ledbury. We would highly recommend.

  • Great accommodation. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and lots of personal touches. I can't recommend it enough.

    Dave2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Jenny's lovely cottage was really wonderful. We had a very warm welcome from Jenny and felt totally comfortable and at home right from the start. Jenny and her family (who live next door) had some sort of diplomatic magic of being helpful and delightful when we bumped into them but not being in our faces: it's a separate house with its own garden, washing line, etc. Jenny had been so thoughtful about what we might need and enjoy that I don't really know where to begin. There were suitable toys and books for our 4- and 1-year-old; there was a stair gate, cot, and high chair available; the recommendations of things to do were excellent (do wear sturdy shoes to scramble over the Conigree nearby, which we loved: it really is muddy); the beds were incredibly comfortable and the super-king was much appreciated; there were sweet touches that I won't go into because it's so nice not to be expecting them; the house was airy and comfortable and somehow spacious and both it and the garden were safe for small children; the drive (where the parking space was) was locked and right next to the house, and had plenty of room even for our ridiculous hire car. Ledbury itself was also lovely: interesting independent shops, people are friendly, the countryside is beautiful, there's an excellent playground, and there were loads of interesting places nearby to explore (we especially liked Goodrich and Croft Castles, and the Newbridge farm park closer to home). Sorry this review is so long: it was just a really good holiday!

  • Jenny and her family were wonderful hosts. Their hospitality was amazing and Jenny was very helpful. The Barn House was a great base for our wedding at Eastnor Castle and we would definitely like to come back and stay here again in the future. Communication with Jenny was easy and the little touches like flowers and homemade cake were very much appreciated. The house was clean, well-equipped and in a great location. We would highly recommend it.

  • When the heads of the screws line up on the beautifully crafted latch mechanism to the back of a bathroom door you know you’re staying in a quality place that has been converted with love and care. That small, but significant detail is carried through into all areas of these two converted luxury barns. Underfloor heating, high spec kitchens and amazing views of the Wye Valley countryside are only some of the delights that await you. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you Kate for hosting us and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

  • We were a extended family group of 11 and had a lovely long weekend staying in Kate’s barns. The barns are newly renovated and beautiful. Through the very large doors/windows are the most spectacular views across fields and (in our case) new born lambs. It was gorgeous. Kate was most helpful and helped us organise outside caterers for one night and there was plenty of space for the 11 of us to sit around the big kitchen table in the open plan living area. It was a perfect place for our family celebrations.

    Laura2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve just returned from a large group stay at Kate’s barns & had the most wonderful weekend. Both barns have been fitted out beautifully & the stunning location meant none of us wanted to leave! Kate responded quickly to all communications prior to the weekend & was really helpful with any queries we had during our stay. We’re looking forward to returning in the future :)

  • An absolutely superb stay at Kate’s beautiful barns. We were a group of 12 with 3 babies and 2 dogs. We could not have been more cosy and comfortable. The place was spotlessly clean and beautiful done with absolutely everything you could need. Kate was so quick and responding to queries and so accommodating. Gorgeous views, and great location. And there was even a welcome basket of goodies with delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake. We will definitely be back!!

    Jayne2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquility awaits you in these modern renovated barns; the views and location are stunning. The quality and comfort of the rooms amazing. Everything has been thought about and so many touches make you feel at home so quickly. Beds super comfy; fluffy towels and hot water. Kitchen fully stocked. Washer and Dryer if needed. Everything you need in one place. Supermarkets are an easy drive, walk to the pub for a carvery lunch; walk to St Mary’s Church, old Norman church with beautiful frescos. Lots of lovely villages to visit or sit and read a book, look at the view and out the fire on. Would highly recommend these barns, both are tastefully done - book one or taking both barns for more people. Enjoy.

*This listing is joining my 2 properties together to offer 2 groups of 4 looking for accommodation together.* In 2012 the Barns were beautifully converted into a modern functional spaces with luxury bathrooms, while retaining the character of the original dairy with vaulted ceilings and stone walls. Being located in the Wye Valley, this is an ideal place for those wishing to walk, cycle, canoe or just explore the hidden gems of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
This listing offers the combination of my 2 listings Little Rock Barn and Lower Rock Barn - I have joined them together so that they appear for groups of 4-8ppl looking for accommodation together. Please note the barns have separate entrances and do not have a joining door so not suitable for one family without parent supervision in each at night. There are two bedrooms in each barn, 1 double and 1 twin. There are bathrooms in each barn but Lower Rock has an addition en-suite in the main bedroom. There are two fully equipped kitchens. The open plan layout creates a light and airy space. Under floor heating throughout and a lovely wood burner offers a cosy atmosphere. The barns have ample space for parking and a large garden with patio area. From the front door and garden there is a stunning view of the Wye Valley and surrounding countryside. We can provide a travel cot on request. Please ask us about any other requirements you may have.
  • The is a beautiful place to stay. We were a group of colleagues having meetings locally. This was a perfect location with great facilities and a good size communal area for us to socialise cook and eat together. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated in keeping with the building and the views outside even through the rain were stunning. Cant wait for the next meeting and stay here. Thanks Claire

    Janine2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We booked both Lower Rock and Little Rock barns for a group of 6 adults and 2 children. Both barns are very spacious, (very) clean and built to high spec with all modern facilities. There is one bathroom in Little Rock and two in Lower Rock making is ideal for big families. However, there is no connection in between both barns so not ideals if more children are in the group. We arrived little late in the evening and it was dark so missed the main gate as gps usually takes you further but Claire helped us to navigate back to the barn. The host provided us with bread, milk and egg etc which was a very warm gesture as sometimes people do forget to get those items. We felt like a home away from home. Perfect place to detox yourself from city life. It’s a shame that we came in winter so couldn’t enjoy outer space but would love to come here again in summer. We went to country side pub called The Moody Cow for lunch which I would highly recommend. Nearby town of Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye are quite nice to visit. It was a memorable stay for us. Thanks to Claire and her family.

  • We had a truly excellent stay here, and would recommend to anyone looking for a short break away. The Barns are very well decorated and have incredible views of the English countryside. Claire has provided every amenity you could want, and we found the barns very child friendly.

  • Great place. Well equipped with all you'll need. Very clean. If you're lucky with the weather, it was simply great sitting outside as a group of friends talking and catching up over a glass or two as the sun set. Recommend it if you like tranquility and great countryside.

  • We hired both barns as a group of 6 adults and one baby and had a lovely stay. The barns are very spacious, clean and have everything you need for a perfect holiday. The location was great for us visiting friends in Ross-on-Wye and as we were out in the sticks it was great to not hear any cars! We will be back!

Spacious rooms, underfloor heating, good showers, comfy beds and settees. Remote down a bumpy track but a real escape from the outside world. • Thoughtful host with some lovely touches and quick to respond to texts and requests. The barn was tasteful decorated and had everything we needed. We’re already talking about booking again! Highly recommended

  • Lots of lovely touches and great facilities. We had a great time and definitely take up Kates suggestion of the tearoom in Ledbury. It will.not disappoint! Kate was great at responding quickly to all correspondence and always willing to help.
