  • This is our third time staying at Jacqui and Daves. We absolutely love this place!!! The cabin has everything you need with plenty of added touches which make it feel extra homely. We had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh orange juice as well as toast and jams. There was even a box of salted caramel chocolate match sticks for us to share which was lovely. We always tend to visit in the winter and the cabin is nice and warm with the heater but there are also hot water bottles provided and water in the kettle if needed. Last but not least by far the best part about our stay is their beautiful dog Barney he is so friendly and always greets me for a cuddle om arrival and in the morning. He is adorable. This place is great and we will be back again soon no doubt about that. X

The guest house was perfect for a relaxing and extremely comfortable stay. I will certainly be recommending this guest house and the service jacqui and dave provided at every opportunity. We can't wait to return

  • Wow! Wow wow wow! What a gorgeous little space. You can smell now clean it is as soon as you walk in. Fresh sheets and the bed was made beautifully. Some lovely chocolate was left out for me as well as a selection of jams, fresh milk and plenty of tea and coffee! Just the small touches such as hot water bottles, a microwave and kettle and a dressing gown for those midnight toilet trips! I was so over the moon with this stay I will definitely be going again! Both Jacqui and her partner were lovely and best of all was the gorgeous Barney, their little spaniel ❤️

  • A lovely little nook in the countryside. Graeme’s place was the perfect place to lay our heads for a few days whilst visiting local Oldfield Forge (10mins by car). The annex was extremely clean and had everything you need for a self contained visit. We found the WiFi signal to be excellent and a handy pub 3 mins walk down the road was a nice surprise! The communication with the host was fantastic - make sure to pay special attention to the directions and check in instructions, and you’ll find the room, no problem

  • What can I say - an outstanding Airbnb stay and host from start to finish. The photos don’t do justice for the size and space of the cottage and it is beautifully decorated. Rachel was an incredible host from start to finish. Very communicative, quick to respond and great at going that extra mile. The little touches of amenities in the house like fresh bread, eggs, milk etc were a welcome addition. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in as a family!

    Bethan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

Down a quiet country lane in the fabulous countryside of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is our 17th century stone farmhouse. The studio is a brand-new refurbished conversion in a stone barn annex. Totally self-contained, it features a double bed (it’s a wall bed which folds away to give you extra room), en-suite shower room, proper central heating, lots of beams, additional sofa bed, and comes with cereal breakfast. Private access to a side kitchen in main house for you.
We have an orchard, hilltop paddock with sheep, copse, bantams, and are situated opposite a stream.
Herefordshire and the Wye Valley are famous for walking with some great routes, both easy and more challenging. Locally, those keen on fishing are also in for a treat, as are kayakers, horse riders, and those who love historical monuments. We're also a great base for exploring Wales and the Cotswolds. And at the end of our lane is the wonderful Cottage of Content, voted rural pub of the year, cementing our reputation as one of the great food areas of the UK.
  • Beautiful place to stay, in a peaceful corner of the world. Thank you very much!

    Benjamin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona and Peter are lovely hosts, the place is in an amazing location, expect a lot of peace and quiet and a lovely view of the stars at night! The flat was very clean and comfortable to stay in, my partner liked seeing the chickens out of the window in the morning! Lovely walks in the nearby area and much more to see if you drive further out. The main kitchen is separate and you have to walk a little to cook food but we didn't mind. The little kitchen area in the flat had a fridge, kettle and there was some cereal aswell, we were well happy with what we had! Thank you for a lovely stay!

    Nikolas2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely and comfortable stay in a peaceful country getaway surrounded by pastoral landscapes. They even have farm animals and some friendly pets. My little girl was in her element wiling away her mornings feeding and playing with chickens and sheep. It was well-heated, clean, and comfortable, and Peter and Fiona even stocked the kitchen with tea, coffee and other goodies for us! Highly recommend! :)

    Cyril2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Fiona have an absolutely magical little conversion in a beautiful little valley not far from Ross on Wye. There are fantastic walks nearby, a very friendly cat, bantam hens, sheep and two dogs! The place itself is really comfy and cosy. My partner and I had a really lovely escape and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Hosts are also extremely friendly and 10/10 communicative even over the festive period! Thanks guys and hope to see you again!

    Samuel2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience for someone who wants a real get away from daily routine.

    Adeel2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful place to stay away from the crowds then this place is for you. It’s what I would call “proper England” We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Pete & Fiona are really friendly and their property is outstanding. Set in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside down a single track road you couldn’t ask for a more idillic setting. There is a great pub just a short walk down the lane who serve very nice food and some local brewed ciders. Not far from the river Wye and lots of walks on your doorstep if that’s your thing. I used this as the last night’s stay of a road trip I was taking my two daughters on. I am already looking to go back with the other half as it would make a nice romantic break. Pete even left a flask of coffee outside in the morning as well as supplying the basics such as milk and cereal for breakfast. If you do decide to book here you won’t be disappointed, the only thing I would advise is that you grab a few supplies before you arrive as the nearest town, Ross on Wye is about a nine mile drive. Oh, and the other thing is download anything you want to watch as Vodafone & Virgin mobile has very poor reception there and the WiFi works but not reliable enough to stream anything without interruption. 10/10 - Thank you very much 👌🏼

  • Fiona & Peter are really welcoming, nothing is too much trouble! We loved the location & all their fury & feathered friends too!

The Cosy Cabin is a brand new retreat, opened in March 2019. The cabin has beautiful views that the front deck really maximises -perfect for a morning coffee or an evening sundowner! The cabin is a 5 minute walk away from a great village shop, and a pub which serves food. We're close to the cathedral city of Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth; the beautiful River Wye & Symonds Yat. We're dog friendly - how couldn't we be! & we offer total privacy to guests- you won't see us unless you need us!
The cabin has a mezzanine master bedroom with a king size bed. The sofa downstairs is able to turn into a double bed, & we’ve got a single chair bed & travel cot with a new mattress available upon request.
We're situated just on the edge of the village of Wormelow. It's a 10 minute walk to the village pub, & shop, which is excellently stocked. Just a field away is the start of the Herefordshire trail, a brilliant footpath that attracts walkers from all over the country. We're a 20 minute drive to Monmouth & Ross on Wye, & even closer to the historic city of Hereford, all of which are great days out, with plenty to do for all ages.
  • Wonderfully unique cabin. The mezzanine style makes for such a unique space. Superb communication, very welcoming yet completely respected our privacy. Thanks again!

    Daniel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time and cannot fault Steph's hospitality... The place was clean and had everything we needed. The farm fresh eggs and flowers were a bonus 💐 also lovely to have a dog friendly accommodation where you can let your dog out and know she is in a safe fenced off area 🐶😊

    Geraldine2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cabin. Lovely location. Great stay. Really homely.

    Tom2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a cosy treasure in a wonderful location. It’s thoughtfully and stylishly decorated and has everything you need for a cosy night in. The communication with Steph was fantastic and there were several thoughtful touches such as the fresh daffodils, fresh eggs and a late check out which made our stay even more wonderful. My dog came along too and loved the fields to run in, it was so great to have a dog-friendly space. We would absolutely recommend this cabin, it’s a perfect space for a mini break - the log burner is a real treat!

    Deanne2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is really warm and snug. Flowers and some ‘home grown’ eggs from steph’s rescue hens are a lovely touch. There is a map with the cabins location marked and some local attraction leaflets. We didn’t use the log burner on our second night, despite being February and storms coming in, the cabin was warm enough with just the central heating on. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to be able to let their dogs out of the door knowing they will be securely fenced in. The field up the lane is huge and was ideal for our two to release some energy. Keep doing what you’re doing as it really works!! Thank u, Lucy, paul & the spots xx

    Lucy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time with our dog, Suzie, who really enjoyed watching the horses and goats in the field outside. Can’t wait to return, I hope you all enjoy as much as we did. From Celine, Ben and Suzie! :)

    Celine 2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cosy stay with great walks and pubs in the area, hosts Steph and Tom were super friendly and helpful.

    Daniel2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gorgeous cabin where you can really forget the rest of the world and properly relax. If you have a small dog that can get through a five bar gate (like me!) then the area isn’t completely dog proof but they can only get onto a quiet track and the paddock with goats and ponies in so wasn’t an issue at all. A brilliant stay though which couldn’t be better.

My place is close to historic towns such as Hay-on-Wye, Ross-on-Wye, Hereford. There are lots of family-friendly activities in the area, like canoeing, rambling walks, horse riding, climbing. You’ll love my place because it's located in a friendly English village nestled amid beautiful countryside. The home has lots of light, a cottagy feel, a big garden, wood burning stove, and the comfy beds. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
  • Donatella's home is very comfortable and she is a great host! Everything worked to perfection, and she even gave me an extra heater when I was cold. She has a lovely living space with a fire and loads of books, and beautiful garden and countryside views. The place is quite remote though, so I would recommend you bring a car or arrange your own transport with local taxi companies (Donatella can give you the numbers as she did for me).

    Vaishali2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a relaxing week in Donatella's homely house, located in the beautiful countryside close to Hereford. Not having a car was no problem at all, it was easy to go by bus to both Ross and Hereford during daytime. Will definitely book again when back in Hereford, fully recommend this place!

    Carmen2019-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here a few years ago and decided to stay again for a nearby conference. Donatella is so kind and made sure I had everything I needed/knew where everything was and great at keeping me posted/replying to questions. Spotlessly clean and comfortable- would definitely recommend- lovely place.

    Emma2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Donatella is an absolute sweetheart. We had some fantastic conversations and her house is immaculately kept. She was always kind and accommodating and very relaxed despite the fact we hadn't any previous connection. If I lived locally I would definitely be her full time lodger! Thanks again Donatella. I would highly recommend 👍

  • We did have a little trouble finding the bungalow. It is yellow with a white garage set back from the road. The bungalow name is Aclands.

    Teresa2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Her house was very comfortable and made relaxed. It's in countryside so really really relaxing and could be wipe all of your bad memories and makes you relaxed or feel calm down. There is a lot of books in her house so you can read many kind of it during the rest with some tea if you like read books. I highly recommend her place. It's really relaxing place! I hope I would like to go there again sometime near.

Aconbury is a very peaceful village on the outskirts of Hereford. It overlooks the Malvern Hills and Black Mountains and backs on to the beautiful Aconbury Woods.
  • We had a lovely stay in Emily's shepherds hut. We went for a weekend and even though the weather wasn't great, the hot tub and wood burner meant that didn't matter. Lovely little piece of heaven with great walks and pubs near by, would definitely stay again. X

    Felicity2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my boyfriend stayed here the weekend storm Jorje hit. We literally can not fault the place! It was so immaculate! Emily and Sam had thought of all the little touches the place needed to feel welcoming. We didn’t know you needed to little to be happy! They were both fantastic at communicating with us before and during our stay. We even got a tour of the farm and met some new born lambs much to our delight! The hot tub was a great added bonus! It’s completely secluded so you always have your own privacy but they are always around should you need them! A little wood fire burner ensured we stayed warm and with a self contained bathroom hut just opposite we had everything we needed for the perfect weekend! We can not wait to return ☺️

    Jodie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Emily's sherperd's hut. The cold wind of February didn't affect our stay at all and made the fireplace and the hot tub even more enjoyable. All we wanted was a cosy gateway weekend, reading books and playing games by the fire and it's exactly what we had in a wonderful location. The place is spotless clean and going from the main hut to the bathroom shed is very easy thanks to the pavement in between them. The farm is ideally located between two little town with a wide choice of pubs and restaurants. We recommend that accomodation 100% !

    Annabelle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for Valentines weekend, and were the first guests to experience the new bathroom hut and hot tub. Everything about this place is stunning and spotlessly clean. Despite staying during Storm Dennis we had a lovely weekend, and made full use of the hot tub! Not far from Hereford or Wales. Would definitely recommend staying here, we can’t wait to visit again!

    Chris2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic hut in a beautiful location. Electricity and a private bathroom make for a high end glamping trip. A welcome basket of milk, eggs, bread, biscuits and wine is a really lovely added extra. We were blessed with dry and sunny weather so could make the most of the outdoor seating area with stunning countryside views - the perfect spot to relax and escape the world. Ideal for star gazers too.

    Hannah2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Emma, myself and our golden retriever puppy Charlie had a great 2 nights in this shepherds hut. It was perfect for Charlie to run around without worrying, and great walks through the woods across the field. Over looking a lovely duck pond and stunning views it was the perfect retreat, will definitely consider returning. Great hospitality, thank you.

    Adam2019-09-09T00:00:00Z

  • “Cottage on the hill” is beautiful! Gorgeous views (even in the foggy weather) lots of fields and gorgeous gardens around for some nice walks :) which we enjoyed! .... We only booked the Thursday evening and we were arriving Saturday, we had Fab communication from hosts. Leina was putting the baby down for a nap when we arrived so let us self check in, lots of info / recommendations left for us which we liked as we’d never been to Hereford before, we went to one of their recommendations for tea & a drink Saturday evening “bunch of carrots” highly recommended too, gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere! Leina soon came and introduced herself, she was very friendly and showed us a few things :) considering the cottage is right next to their home, we didn’t see or hear them again. Although if we needed too we were told we could message them, which was very kind. Leina left us bread, eggs, milk, tea, coffee and fresh water. Clean towels, robes & bedding too. Logs for the fire, firefighters & candles. So it was lovely to enjoy a chilled evening in front of the log fire. The cottage was clean and tidy. Defiantly recommended if you’re after a cosy time away! We were only staying one night but their was Lots to do around the area & just a short drive away! We have never done Air b & b before, but thanks to Leina & Paul our first experience was fantastic. Thank you! :)

  • A wonderful stay in this amazing location. Beautiful views, a lovely space, well equipped and homely. We were warmly welcomed by both Paul and Leina, who’s hospitality was legendary. We loved having dinner in the log burner heated conservatory. Definitely recommended...

    Johnny2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • I spent a wonderful night here. The fire in the conservatory was wonderful. I thought it was a cottage but it is part of a larger building. I watched the sunset from the top of the hill which was beautiful. I received a wonderful welcome and everything was provided. Definitely recommend this and would stay again.

    Cassandra2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic cottage - one of the best we have stayed in! We needed a weekend "away from it all" and this was perfect. The location is excellent - rural yet close to Hereford. Accommodation was very good - we were able to visit the city, go for a woodland walk before sunset and watch the lights come on in the valley.. and then snuggle down in front of a log fire and chill in the evening. Thoroughly recommend this property.

    Julie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay here on a last minute decision to escape to the countryside for a night. This place is brilliant value for money and has absolutely stunning views over the hills straight from the living room. It’s a beautiful country escape and very peaceful with an incredibly accommodating, helpful host! Anyone looking for a break from their hectic life would be perfectly suited to this place.

    Lucy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely place, the conservatory was our favourite part. It was really nice to cosy up to the wood burning fire at night and the view from the conservatory alone was really calming. Would definitely recommend for couples! The view from the back room was amazing but we only got to see it the next morning as unfortunately it was really foggy. Leina was so friendly and welcoming, she took us on a little tour and offered support whenever we needed it!

Sheepcote Bothy is a newly converted summer house which has been designed and built to a high standard by my family and me over the past 12 months. Situated in the beautiful Herefordshire Countryside with a view across the Black Mountains, Sheepcote Bothy is separate from the main house and consists of open plan living, private garden and patio area, ample parking along with the use of the family tennis court. Also we have secure push bike storage
The main living area consists of a seating area, table, TV and double doors that look out on to a small patio area which then leads on to a larger patio area with BBQ, all of which are perfect for looking at the lovely view and watching the sun set. Behind the sitting area there is a kitchen with hob, fridge, microwave and breakfast bar with high stools. At the back of the room there is a double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables. Leading from the bedroom through a fire door there is a large bathroom with basin, toilet, bath and separate shower. Although we built this with underfloor heating, there is also a small electric log fire perfect for those cosy dark evenings.
Situated along a country lane, Sheepcote Bothy is within a mile of the local pub and many other country pubs are within a five mile radius, all of which serve good food. The local Garden Centre and Farm Shop is within easy reach and sell local Herefordshire produce. Sheepcote Bothy is ideally situated for touring the local area, including the Wye Valley, Symonds Yat, Hay on Wye, The Forest of Dean, Malvern Hills and the Brecon Beacons to name but a few. Of course you cannot come to Herefordshire without a visit to the famous Weston’s Cider or Chase Gin Distillery. Maybe you would like to come and just relax and go fishing which is available within walking distance.
  • A lovely place, cosy and snug. Clean and tidy. Would recommend. Handy for Hereford, Monmouth and Ross

  • Greg's place is exactly what you would expect for a b&b. If anything it's the residents that are making the stay ... difficult. Some people are just like that. Second night of stay I've heard at about 7 a lot of noise. I went downstairs and it was one of the nurses working for the hospital. So really I have nothing to say to the owner. He gave very clear instructions and I had a lovely stay. And I have to say the mattress in my room was absolutely lovely. I'd rather say that it was better than my mattress at home. Thank you for a lovely holiday Greg !

The living room has a large sofa that transforms into a comfortable pull-out queen size bed if necessary. The room also has a reclining armchair. There is a wood burning stove. There is a vinyl record player and the cupboards are stuff with board games - everything from Risk to Scrabble. The home has two bedrooms and a study complete with French windows, One of the bedrooms has a single bed (it is quite large though and can accommodate two people). There is also a camper bed that can be set up in the same bedroom. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The house is surrounded by a large private garden. It is well kept, with colourful flower beds. Trees and high bushes give lots of privacy. There is a shed full of rackets and outdoor games, and there is an olympic sized table tennis table. There is a patio with a garden table and chairs, which make it a perfect spot for a BBQ and other meals when the sun is out.
Aclands - the home - is part of the idyllic village of Kingsthorne. It is characterised by small country lanes, cottages, friendly neighbours and country pubs offering great food and local ciders and ales. Kingsthorn is ideally located in that it is both in the countryside and home to towns. Situated between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye you are only a short drive away from two of the region's most historic cities. Hay-on-Wye, which hosts the annual Hay festival, is also not far away. Whether you want to soak up the history visiting the black and white homes, and cathedrals in these cities, or spend time in the countryside there is lots to do. The house is surrounded by some of the UK's most beautiful natural landscapes. There is a beautiful woods less than five minutes walk from the house and an infinity of hiking trails for all different abilities. Other activities, including kayaking, canoeing, climbing and cider tasting are just a short drive away.

  • Sue's communication was quick, clear and welcoming, her directions are clear and accurate (google's are less so!). The room is a haven of clarity and rest, and we enjoyed our stay - recommended.

The Byre is a recently converted seventeenth century sandstone and timber stable and granary. We are situated on the biggest loop of the River Wye between the cathedral city of Hereford and its historic Mappa Mundi and the market town of Ross-On-Wye. It is an ideal base for fishing, walking, or canoeing. There is an excellent pub in Hoarwithy and less than three miles away are The Loughpool & Cottage of Content, both offering locally sourced fabulous fare. Sadly we now no longer accept pets.
We moved in during 2016, and up until then the farm was an equestrian centre. We have completed quite a bit of the restoration and work on the farm buildings, but it's very much ongoing. The area is rural and quiet but is extremely beautiful and there are numerous walks from here. You could also choose to canoe to us from Hereford and then onto Ross-On-Wye over two days.
Our neighbourhood is rural and beautiful. We have a racehorse trainer up the road who exercises her horses past the house most mornings. There is a village pub in Hoarwithy, serving food, local beer and cider less than 0.5 mile away. Less than three miles away are two inns which offer fabulous, locally sourced dishes. The locals are very friendly. Hereford, 9 miles away, is a busy cathedral city with its historic Mappa Mundi, many museums, lots of shops and cafes. Ross-on-Wye, 8 miles away, is a bustling market town with good independent shops, restaurants and cafes. Slightly further afield are the black and white towns of Ledbury, Leominster and Ludlow.
  • We had a lovely stay at The Byre - it was spacious and warm, and in a quiet location. It was immaculately clean. Very easy check in and friendly, helpful host.

    Sarah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • There are 2 cottages at Ruxton Farm. We stayed at 'The Cow Byre' which slept 4 adults and has a small child's bed in one of the two bedrooms. These cottages were renovated in 2017.They have been carefully converted ,the workmanship is good, exposed beams and well laid plasterwork. The kitchen joins the main living space, it is large with modern equipment-modernish in the case of the oven, very easy to work in .I prepared Christmas dinner there without difficulty. The bedrooms are warm and comfortable as are the beds!. The heating is oil fired it is appreciated if you are careful with it's use as it is a very expensive form of heating. Something is added to the oil to produce an aroma -not unpleasant-like a strong air freshner when it burns ,this you will notice when the owners put the heating on before you arrive in winter. You will notice it upstairs at night as the heat rises disperses easily if you open a window. before you go to bed.

  • Emma was a very responsive host, The Byre is very clean, comfortable and with great amenities. Bedrooms and bathrooms very spacious and comfortable, perfect for 2 couples. Location excellent for visiting the local area. It was quiet and peaceful at night. And of course the lovely cake. Definitely a 5*+ .

  • The Byre is a lovely place to stay - quiet, relaxing and in a fabulous location

    Anne2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a fabulous week’s stay at The Byre. The property surpassed my expectations and I felt at home the moment I stepped through the front door. Warm, cosy and extremely spacious - the downstairs living space felt particularly sizeable. The location was perfect for the holiday I had in mind, days spent walking in the Wye Valley and Herefordshire countryside coupled with quiet, relaxing evenings in the local area. The personal touches (a delicious cake and fresh cut flowers) also added that extra something special. I very much hope to return in the not too distant future and can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you Emma!

  • Another lovely, warm and comfortable stay at Stone Cottage!

    Leah2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Simply put this is an ideal cozy cottage for exploring the region on sunny days, visiting the lovely towns nearby on less ideal days and simply staying in and reading by a log fire on rainy days. Make sure you have tea out on the bench overlooking the valley, perfect silence punctuated solely by distance tractors and the clip clop off horse riders. Sublime.

    Joanne2019-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rowena and Declan are warm and wonderful host. We enjoy our stay in this cottage, somewhat like a home away from our home. Surely will recommend others visiting Hereford to experience this cottage life style.

  • Old Forge Cottage was all we had hoped for. During a particularly rainy and blustery weekend, it offered us a cosy, warm retreat to relax and enjoy our time away. Rowena and her family were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond allowing us to stay on past our check-out time. The cottage was perfect with all the amenities we could hope for. We will definitely book again and look forward to our next weekend there.

  • We had a wonderful mini honeymoon in the Swaledale Hut. Fantastic location with gorgeous views, it was easy to pop into Hereford for a day out, but we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Really enjoyed seeing all the animals, both wild and farm. Sam was warm and welcoming, and gave us a thorough tour of the hut and shed so we knew what was what. Nothing was too much, and he was happy to show us his farm. We had a lovely meal at the Castle, as recommended by Sam, and we in turn thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying. A lovely, relaxing weekend in the country - we are already looking at dates to return in the future! Thank you.

  • We had an amazing weekend at Emily’s hut. We braved the snow to take the trip and we were so glad that we did! Communication was fantastic and the location was just beautiful. We expected it to be a very chilly as we took this trip on one of the coldest nights of winter but Emily had switched the heater on for our arrival which warmed us Straight up and when the wood burner was going it was so so toasty! There was also the added bonus of hot water bottles. We loved the sheep and all the wildlife we spotted including an owl we were also lucky enough to see a shooting star! Can’t recommend enough!

  • Jacqui is a lovely host, she gave us a warm welcome and recommend us places to go visit and to go to eat, explaining the local legends and history. The apartment is just amazing: very big bedroom, stunning bathroom and well kept garden. The cottage is cozy and perfectly blends in with the surrounding countryside. Highly recommended.

  • Jacqui's place is comfortable & clean, its close to some excellent country pubs, and well located for Hererford or Ross on Wye, if you like the English countryside this is the place for you!

  • Hello, I had to complete a course about 5-6 miles away from Jacqui's house, so i booked the escape to the Herefordshire room which was a comfy big bedroom with a very comfortable double sized bed. Clean and tidy and so was the big bathroom next to my room. Breakfast was available every morning and that was included in the room price! To get to my training location there was no bus and a taxi would be very expensive, so without even asking, Jacqui offered to give me a lift there and pick me up the time i would have finished! What can i say? Hospitality of a 5 star hotel with the warmth of your own home. David, her husband, is such an amazing person an so fun. Also whenever i needed a drink or to prepare dinner, he was so kind to prepare it for me. Barney their amazing dog would always be around the ground floor watching what's going on in the garden and protect us from the evil squirrels! Overall it was a great stay, clean and warm and that was one of the reasons i did pass my tests. These guys make you feel so welcome and they are so pleasant and helpful! Thank you so much and i will be seeing you soon!

  • Friendly hosts, accurate directions and high quality facilities.

    Paul2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jacqui and David are wonderful hosts and made us all feel very welcome in their lovely home. They were kind enough to set up a travel cot and high chair for our son, and welcomed us with hot drinks and biscuits on arrival. The room was very clean, comfortable and inviting. We appreciated the breakfast and all the thoughtful touches and gestures throughout our short stay. We loved spending time with Barney the dog too!

  • Found this little gem of a place by accident and what an amazing place it is. Peace and tranquility in abundance. Both Jacqui and David are amazing hosts who opened up their home to us. Fantastic company, great sense of humour, kind lovely people with a fantastic house that’s spotless. Will definitely return in the future, just to find the hidden stately home that apparently exists...... and we promise not to mention anything about the secret drawer.

  • Lovely place for a stop over

  • Sweet little room in a clean house. Scott is very friendly, helpful and always quick to respond.

    Tom2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's house is easy to find and very clean. The bed is very comfortable. Enjoyed my stay there. It'll be better if there's a table for eating meals, but probably it's western vs eastern habit.
