  • A wonderful cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Easy to find on the Sat Nav but Emma also gave us detailed directions. Well equipped, cosy and a great location to explore the beautiful Wolds from.

  • A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location - the Lincolnshire Wolds. I walked out the door on the first morning to see a deer stood in front of me in the middle of the lane (there is virtually no traffic on this lane - and no neighbours, apart from, hares, rabbits, pheasants and a buzzard in the sky) Its heart warming to know you can still escape to places like this. Give it a try!

Set in 4 acres of woodland on a working farm that borders a quiet stretch of the Lincolnshire coast, our cosy lodge is a place to relax, connect with nature and leave your troubles behind. Ideally located for exploring sandy beaches and wildlife reserves including the Donna Nook seal colony. Convenient for visiting Lincolnshire's unspoilt market towns such as Louth and uncovering this county's rich history and unhurried way of life. We encourage campfires, stargazing and leaving with a smile!
The Garden Room, in its private and peaceful setting is surrounded by woodland and open farmland close to the Lincolnshire coast. Spacious and furnished to a high standard throughout, our priority is your comfort and so we have taken great care to choose quality beds and bedding to ensure your best nights sleep. The well appointed living/kitchen offers a comfortable area where you can eat and relax. The efficient central heating system and insulation to the walls and roof means we can welcome you in all seasons of the year. The veranda and patio has sheltered seating areas where you can enjoy a barbecue, sit around the fire-pit (logs provided) or simply enjoy the views towards the Lincolnshire Wolds. We are on hand to greet you and advise on your visit but we value your privacy and so leave you to enjoy your break.
This is an undiscovered and quiet part of the Lincolnshire coast although not far from the coastal resorts and sandy beaches of Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe/Sutton. The Humber Estuary is internationally renowned for its abundant wildlife and habitat for over-wintering birds. In October and November seals come ashore to have their pups on the shoreline at Donna Nook and this has become a popular local visitor attraction to see nature at close hand. It does get busy in the height of ‘seal-watching season’ so we have devised a circular walking route from The Garden Room that takes you along our quiet farm tracks to the coast and back. You won’t meet a soul until you reach Donna Nook car-park! Allow 3.5 hrs.
  • A fabulous location, gorgeously peaceful and relaxing. The wonderful hosts have provided everything you need and have done so with a stylish and thoughtful flourish. We will definitely be visiting again!

  • This place is truly magical. If you’re looking to relax in peace and spend some time in the countryside then this is perfect. Its not too far to drive to town if you need to, but it is peaceful and very quiet (except for the odd Owl hooting at night which is wonderful!). The cabin is very comfortable and has every thing you need and more, the gardens are beautiful, and Edward & Liz are welcoming and warm hosts. We highly recommend their special hideaway for both couples and small families. We can’t wait to go back 😊 We even timed it right and saw seal pups at Donna Nook which was a rare treat.

    Nicola2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden Room is a lovely space, it's wonderfully comfortable and there are many thoughtful touches left out for guests. Edward and Liz were very helpful with local tips and were very communicative. Would highly recommend staying here!

  • We stayed at the Garden House to go and see the seals at Donna Nook, Edward and Liz provided easy to follow instructions that took us all the way there without seeing anyone else! We hope to come back next year x

    Charlotte2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden House is the perfect hideaway. Beautifully situated amongst the trees and away from the main house with easy parking. It's really well equipped and all the food basics are provided. We had a lovely winter weekend watching the nearby seals but it would be perfect in the summer too with long evenings spent on the decking. Edward and Liz are great hosts.

    Iain2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a real gem and is packed with everything you need to have a treat stay, whether travelling as a couple or family. Liz and Edward are very thoughtful hosts. 5 stars ***** Thank you!

We went to see the seals at Donna Nook and went Christmas shopping. Lovely extra touches such as the crumpets, dvds and Christmas decorations. Has heating so is great during the winter as well. Great value for money and will definitely stay again in the future.

Waking up on a crisp morning with the sound of the stream passing by and horses running around the field was something close to perfection . The cabin itself was cozy comfortable and had all the amenities you could ask for. The hosts were a lovely couple who was happy to help and made it clear what was what . Overall a great place to stay , a short drive to the seaside and quality restaurants, you will be seeing us again soon thanks again 👌 Luke

  • A wonderful place to stay smack bang in the middle of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Couldn't ask for better access to the Wolds and surrounding area. The cottage itself has everything you need for a short stay and is cosy and warm. Don't forget your slippers as the beautiful stone and wood floor will make your toes chilly if you do!

    Luke2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect warm and cosy place to base yourselves for a winter breakaway in the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds. The Cottage has everything you need with plenty of space to relax and feel home from home. We will definitely return when we are next in this location.

    Paula2019-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this place almost a year in advance as we needed to take our dogs to a place where there was no fireworks (our dogs hate them.) We spoke with Andy about our situation and he gave us the full description of the place and what was there and that at New Years Eve we wouldn’t hear a single firework. The place is beautiful and set next to the amazing Grimblethrope Hall and has countryside as far as you can see. It’s has walks for you and your dogs in any direction you need to go as well as farm animals to say hello. The Shepherds cottage we stayed in was all one level and more than enough space for two people and dogs. The Cottage was extremely clean and had all the amenities that you need and a few extra ones added which was a nice surprise. We would definitely recommend and we look forward to going back. Book this for a beautiful quiet countryside retreat and you won’t be disappointed at all.

    Nick2019-01-02T00:00:00Z

Crossways is set in the peaceful and beautiful surroundings of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Close to the villages of Waltham, Tealby and the sandy beach at Cleethorpes. Within 40 minutes of Donna Nook and the historic city of Lincoln. As the property is in a rural location and public transport is very limited, we advise that your own transport is necessary.
The annexe sits within the bounds of the main house (approx 2 acres), with parking shared between the two properties. Please see photographs for exact location of Crossways as your SatNav will take you into the village. Since the mobile phone signal can be variable in East Ravendale, we suggest that you enable WiFi-Calling or use other forms of internet based communications. Guests are always welcomed by the owners. The property is self contained, and as such, hosts may not be immediately on hand, however, will be contactable by phone. Our modern self-contained annexe comprises own entrance, king size bed, bathroom and well equipped kitchen with access to garden. A TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs are provided. Black out blinds are provided to enable night shift workers to sleep during the day.
Five minutes drive from Waltham, a village with two pubs, restaurants, takeaways and supermarkets yet only 20 minutes from the sandy beach at Cleethorpes. Unfortunately there are no shops or pubs in our village.

If you are looking for a self-catering stay with the countryside on your doorstep but also close to shops, pubs and restaurants - then this could be for you. Louth has great independent shops and there are many places to eat and drink.
Linden View is the middle house on a row of three properties on a quiet, no-through road a ten-minute walk to Louth town centre. The house, which overlooks the cemetery, gets the morning sun at the rear and the sunset at the front. With no facing properties, there are views towards the countryside from the front of the house. Linden View accommodates four people in two bedrooms. They feature a double bed and two single beds. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with shower over. Downstairs there is a kitchen/diner with a table and chairs for four people and a living room. Outside there is a small back garden with seating. Parking is on the street outside the house. There is a small front garden. Dogs are welcome throughout the house and gardens. Linden View has recently been redecorated throughout. There is gas central heating and instant hot water. In the kitchen there is a gas cooker, dishwasher and a fridge-freezer. In the living room there is a TV and DVD player, with a selection of books and DVDs. The rear garden is laid to lawn but has a small, secluded patio area - perfect for sitting out on a warm evening.
While the area is quiet and hidden away, Linden View has the advantage of being a ten minute walk into Louth. There you will find independent shops unique to the town, some national chains and a great variety of places to eat and drink. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is on your doorstep, the seaside is 20 minutes away and the historic city of Lincoln is just 45 minutes by road. There is also motor racing at Cadwell Park, 15 minutes from Louth and horse racing at Market Rasen, 20 minutes down the road. Dog walkers and ramblers are well catered for - you can join public footpaths from the doorstep which will take you into the heart of the countryside. Further afield, you can walk along the unspoilt coastline in dunes and on deserted beaches. There are many great walks in the Wolds, suitable for all tastes - you can also walk part of the Viking Way, which runs from the banks of the River Humber down to Rutland Water. The nearest train station to Louth is at Market Rasen or Grimsby and there are bus services between the towns and villages. Louth was named Britain's Favourite Market Town by Countryfile magazine in 2012, described as a 'foodies paradise', it boasts several butchers, a cheese shop, delic‎atessen, bakers, cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops (including a small department store) which really make it unique. There is a market three times a week (the busiest in the region), a farmers' market once a month and Food Friday market every four weeks. The town also has a three-screen cinema, leisure centre and a golf course. The open spaces of Westgate Fields and Hubbards Hills are just a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Dominating the skyline is St James Church, which has the tallest medieval parish church spire in England. It is open for visitors and has a coffee shop.
  • A great house close to the town and near to the coast. Very clean and comfortable and dog friendly.

  • Tim and Vicky's house is just as described and is in a great location, quiet, yet close to all the amenities of Louth. The house is well equipped, warm and cosy, it had everything we needed.

  • Exactly as advertised. Nice clean cottage in a lovely quiet location. Great for exploring the Linconshire coast as well as the Wolds and Louth itself. We and the dogs really enjoyed it.

    Sarah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed in Louth at Tim and Vicky's place over New Year. It is so cosy and homely, perfect for our stay with our dog. Well equipped, with everything you would need for a stay. The house is quiet, with plenty of countryside for walks from the doorstep. However, it is not at all far from the centre of town either. We had a lovely meal out at the Greyhound where our puppy was warmly welcomed too. If we need to stay in the area again, we'll definitely be coming back here!

    Claire2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

  • We would really recommend this place - it's peaceful, spacious and self-contained. Jon and Amanda have been thoughtful in the way the Annexe is set-up, and helpful if you have questions. You can walk directly from the house or Louth is 5 minutes away in the car for amenities. It's a beautiful part of the UK and much recommended.

  • A beautiful loft apartment, modern comfy furnishings. Quiet, secluded, away from it all. Lovely hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble.... Very small kitchen so if there were more than 2 of you- you would have to plan very carefully- worth noting that there is no pub/eatery within easy walking distance. Great for breakfasts and BBQ etc in the Summer.

  • We couldn’t have asked for more from this place. The host, Debbie, was communicative and friendly. Check in was easy and personal. A quick tour of the place to show us the essentials then we were left in peace to enjoy. The property is newly refurbished and everything is pristine. The beds were very comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean. Some nice little touches too including tea/milk etc and some shortbreads which the kids loved. There are two good pubs in easy walking distance serving good food. Highly recommend this place

Get a real taste for England’s history by staying in this converted Norman Church! This Grade II* listed building provides an excellent base for exploring Louth, the Lincolnshire Wolds and some classic British beaches. With it’s peaceful setting in a tiny village on the edge of Louth, the church also provides the perfect place to relax and unwind. We converted the church in 2014 and lived in it for 4 years until the arrival of our son, we love it and really hope you have a wonderful stay!
My architect husband saw the church for sale in the local paper. It was in a pretty sorry state so he decided buy it and bring it back to life. We lived in it and even had our wedding reception there but the arrival of our little boy meant that the open plan layout was slightly less practical for everyday life, so now we would like to share it with you lovely lot. We maintained as many historical features as possible with out sacrificing the comfort and functionality of a 21st century home this means you can froth the milk for your cappuccino using the built in coffee machine whilst gazing at the 7 meter high stone arch or glance at the original Norman font whilst catching up with your favourite box set on the smart tv with super fast broad band. The entire church has been sensitively converted into living space providing a very large kitchen/dining room/ living room. The kitchen has an induction job, microwave and good size fridge freezer and has all the space and utensils you need to whip up a mega Sunday roast (our family always insisted on having Christmas at the church so we have tested this out a few times). The dining table can seat up to 10 people and the two large sofas provide plenty of space for lounging. The open plan layout means you can enjoy a chat and glass of wine whilst dinner is being prepared with out anyone being marooned in the kitchen on their own. The master bedroom has a super king bed and spacious en-suite with a rainfall shower and huge bath. Please note that it is separated from the living area by a giant wardrobe and a curtain, offering visual privacy but not total separation. The second bedroom is located in the old vestry, with access to the second bathroom just across the living area. There is underfloor heating as well as large cast iron radiators which keep the church cosy on even the coldest day. There is a large gravel drive way with space for 5 cars and a large lawn for use by guests.
Located in a small village on the Edge of Louth. It is possible to walk into town or walk across the fields and enjoy the Lincolnshire country side. The church is located within 5 minutes walk of the canal which runs from Louth to the coast (approx 30 miles). This provides a really lovely route into the town or across the country side and we are very proud of the fact that kingfishers can be spotted on this pretty waterway. Louth is a quaint town which was built on the wool trade in the 1700s. Today it has a good range of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. All within 10 minutes drive of the church and Louth has 3 supermarkets (Aldi, Morrison’s, Coop) with the closest being a 5 minute drive from church. Louth is also the gateway for the Lincolnshire wolds which is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is excellent for walking or cycling. We are also close to a range of beaches from the wild sands of Donna Nook to the classic seaside towns of Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and Skegness, though our favourite spot is the Seascape cafe at Chapel St Leonard’s. Those who have an interest in history may like to visit Lincoln (40 minute drive) to take in the cathedral and view the original Magna Carta
  • Such a thoughtfully designed space and a pleasure to be in at all times of the day. The warmth was a delight and we cooked for five easily without missing a utensil. The history of the church is thrilling and to be amongst it a real privilege. Thanks also for being a lovely host.

    Pascale2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and great hosts. Sleeping in a 1000 year old church with all the modern facilities was quite amazing! Will be back!

    Nick2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We can not speak highly enough about this beautiful Airbnb! A truly unique place in a great location. Katherine could not do enough to help and offered lots of advise to help us enjoy our stay even more. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

    Kelly-Anne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, exceeded expectations. We will definitely be going back, great pub about 15 minutes away too and it's very dog friendly.

    Amy2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family of four (plus dog) recently stayed for a short break at this stunning and most unusual property. We felt really at home and relaxed in the open plan space. We all appreciated the welcome goodies left by our hosts and also the high quality of kitchen facilities. The building is truly incredible and we felt very privileged to be able to stay in such an historic place. Our hosts responded really quickly when we needed them and would recommend this property if you are looking for something a bit different.

    Carol2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A very unusual property (in a good way!). It really is as good as it looks in the photos. We'd definitely recommend it. The description is accurate and it is well equipped, warm and comfortably property. The location is a quiet village outside Louth. It is convenient for the local town (Louth), for Lincoln and for seeing the seals at Donna Nook. We have no hesitation recommending this impressive church conversion.

    Michael2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Have just finished a truly amazing break at this converted church. The pictures really don’t do this place justice and staying here really felt like a complete re-charge for the batteries!! So calm and relaxing. We have stayed in many unique rental properties and this conversion was the best quality by far!! More like the quality of a five star hotel. As for the local area, Louth is a lovely little town with all that you would expect, the American diner is excellent and the chip shop (Parkinson’s) was really good. Well worth a trip to the seal sanctuary in Mablethorpe much better than expected and also going to Donna nook in November and December and seeing the wild seals and pups was amazing! Also climbing up the 199 stairs at st James church was well worth the view and the tea and cake at the bottom was truly deserved after the climb. Also well worth a visit to Hubbards hills, lovely walk and a great place for a picnic. All in all a perfect stay in a lovely area and a beautifully converted church.

My place is close to restaurants and dining, and a short drive to the beach.
The annexe comprises a sitting room with wood burner, comfortable sofas and facilities for tea and coffee. There is also a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery and pots. There is a large shower room and bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. There is a private entrance into the hallway. There is no actual kitchen.
North Thoresby is a quiet village. The cottage is next to the cricket field and over the road from the bowling green. In the last weekend of August it celebrates the 1940's with stalls, displays, musical events etc. There is a small railway which runs on certain weekends in the summer from near The New Inn to the next village of Ludborough. North Thoresby is 20 minutes away from the attractions of the seaside at Cleethorpes. and approximately 20 minutes from the lovely, Georgian town of Louth, which hosts a market on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. There are many specialist shops and a large antique emporium.
  • Did the job. Cozy place and great hospitality :) Definitely coming back!

  • We stayed in Patricia's beautiful little cottage for a mini-break over New Year's Eve. Cosy and comfortable with a small log burner, what's not to like?

  • Lovely cosy place. Pat is a great host.

    Simeon2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely country cottage annexe with everything you would need for a relaxing weekend away. Patricia had left plenty of tea, coffee and milk etc and although not a kitchen there were enough facilities to get you by. The Halfway House just along the road served excellent food. Excellent location if you want to visit Donna Nook which was the main purpose of our stay. A great first experience of Airbnb.

    Elaine2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy place to relax. Having a real fire is a treat, and Pat is the perfect host.

    Tania2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia's place is really spacious and very comfortable, the annexe is set in a beautiful quiet garden, away from the main road. Perfect. The wood burning stove gives it a cottage feel, we really had a great stay. Would recommend :)

Modern, self contained and up to date. Includes everything home from home. Half / Pet friendly self catering cottages in the heart of rural Lincolnshire; near Louth and only 3 miles from the seal colony at Donna Nook on the Lincolnshire coast.
Nowhere else will you hear the 'Dawn Chorus' like you'll hear it here. The cottage is very private with no public access and peace abounding.
Louth is a lovely Georgian Market Town (markets Wed, Fri, Sat). is a thriving market town, brimming with community spirit, alive with character and steeped in tradition. Unfortunately, it is missed by many Lincolnshire visitors as they head to the seaside resorts along the east coast. It is perhaps for this reason that Louth is still in many ways the same place it was back in the 17th century. The streets are still a jumble of Georgian and Victorian architecture, the shops still offer traditional, locally sourced foods and the church of St James, famous for having the tallest spire in England, still dominates the skyline, offering a perfect panorama of the historic town and a glimpse at the beauty of the surrounding countryside. While in the town, take a stroll down the winding cobbled streets and find the unexpected. Louth offers six family-run butchers, the famous Pocklington’s Bakers, two grocers, an old-fashioned tailors, a cobblers, a fish shop, and of course the famous Louth Cheese Shop, selling a wide selection of cheese’s, including the award winning Lincolnshire Poacher. If you’re feeling a little shopped out, visit the splendid museum, follow the Art Trail or discover Tennyson’s Wall. Come the evening, why not visit the theatre or the art-deco cinema, and when you need a refreshing drink after your busy day of exploring, try one of the many Elizabethan pubs, offering local ales, and good wholesome home-cooked food. If you want to explore a little further afield, then Louth is an ideal base. Lincolnshire offers wonderful countryside, as well as number of famous tourist attractions. Cadwell Park just a short drive from Louth, is famous for being one of the country’s most challenging motor racing courses. Snipe Dales and Gibraltar Point are National Nature Reserves and Skegness Seal Sanctuary is a great fun, educational visit for all ages. There are also opportunities to go horse riding, gliding, fishing, and there are a number of golf courses to try, both for beginners and experienced players. What Louth is particularly popular for, however, is walking, and every year during May and June, there is an annual walking festival. A short walk along the river will bring you to Hubbard’s Hills, a park designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, that is known to delight visitors of all ages, no matter what time of year. If you want to venture further a field but don’t want too taxing a climb, then the level walks along the navigation canals are perfect. If however, you want a bigger challenge, head further into the Wolds, where there are miles of footpaths, bridal-ways and mountain biking tracks. To make it easier for visitors to find the very best routes and associated villages, the local councils and rambling groups have put together a number of specially defined routes and guide books. These guides are free and available throughout Louth and the surrounding areas. The Silver Lincs Way is the one most specific to the Louth area. Louth is famous for selling locally sourced foods, and the most famous restaurant in Louth for doing this is Melanie’s. Everything on the menu is locally sourced and homemade, including the scrumptious cider. In 2010 the restaurant won the Best Restaurant Taste of Lincolnshire Award.
  • A great place to stay, Sandra is a wonderful and helpful host. The heating is easy to control so even in stormy weather we were nice and comfortable. There is amazing wildlife to be seen - we saw a barn owl on opening the front door and a badger walking down the road at night, We walked along the canal to tetney locks ( good dog friendly pub there) and in the opposite direction into Louth an interesting market town. We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable bed for sound nights sleep too!

Rooftops in situated in the centre of Louth. It has been recently renovated and offers luxury accommodation for 2. Downstairs there is a large bedroom with king sized bed, and a shower room. Up the elegant staircase to the living/dining room and small, but fully equipped galley kitchen. Fibre wifi, Bose speaker, smart TV and Blue ray give plenty of entertainment options. The view across house roofs to the iconic St James Church as you eat your meals, is great by day and stunning at night.
The location, so central, and the view across some beautiful roofs with fabulous chimneys. This acts as the precursor to the view of St James church, a stunning building with reputedly the tallest spire of any English church. Great by day, amazing at night. From the flat you walk through a door leading to Upgate and on to the pubs, restaurants and coffee shops in town.
A quiet close, small, cosy even, with a mix of small modern and older buildings.
  • Andrew and Moira are great hosts - this listing is excellent and I would happily stay again!

  • This is the perfect place to stay in Lough. Central location, on the door step of the town centre. The place was spotlessly clean, the decor was lovely, it has a comfy bed and nice shower too. Andrew and Moira were brilliant hosts and have made the place feel like a home away from home. I definately recommend staying here and will return if I visit Lough again!

  • The pictures don't do this place justice. If you are looking for a stylish upscale flat in the center of louth (but still quiet) with a stunning view and friendly hosts, this is your place! It's a quirky upside down flat, done to a very high standard. It's one flight up to the front door and another flight to the living room / kitchen but presuming you can handle the stairs this place is amazing. Excellent value for money too! Great hosts who obviously care about the guest experience and not just making a buck (or pound!) Loved it and will be back.

  • Incredible place to stay! Fantastic location, close to shops and places to eat. The location makes visiting the seals at Donna Nook so much easier. We arrived to a stylish and clean apartment and we blown away by how amazing it was. It’s comfortable and cosy especially getting in on cold days after being out all day. The heating was simple to use and worked quickly. Overall this is an apartment I would highly recommend to others.

  • Rooftops is a lovely hidden gem in Louth. The flat is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and looks just like the photos. We will definitely be back!!

  • Andrew and Moira's place was stunning! It was so tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing even though it was tucked away beautifully in the middle of the town. Perfect for sampling all the little shops, cafes, restaurants and amazing history. We would certainly love to return!

    Kathryn2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed if you book to stay at Andrew and Moira's place. The apartment is stylish, beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. It is right in the centre of Louth with shops and restaurants on the doorstep. All communication with Andrew was speedy and informative and we were very grateful for the 'welcome' goodies on our arrival. We have stayed in some very nice Airbnb's but 'Rooftops' was exceptional. A beautiful property, very well-placed to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds and coast. We will definitely be making a return visit.

  • Well after a last minute trip to my home town of Louth, I found this little gem of a place on air B and B!! ( 1st time I’ve used it) where to start, a beautifully decorated appartment, with lovely views of the church, person little touches( wine, milk? Chocs etc) and the hosts, Andrew and Moira were fabulous, they went the extra mile for us!! Nothing too much trouble!! My only criticism, we didn’t stay long enough!! So looking forward to our visit over the Xmas holidays!! Thank you!

  • Beautiful location and spotlessly clean. Considering the current situation with covid-19 Melanie had sanitised everything that would have been touched. Lovely to spend some time away from the world!

  • A beautifully renovated space with everything you could wish for. Lots of thoughtful details, and lovely touches to catch the eye: this is one of the nicest Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in, certainly for this price. Yes, it’s by an A road, and you can hear the traffic so be aware of that if you’re sensitive to noise. But it’s also surrounded by glorious countryside and you can walk right from the doorstep b

Lovely little touches such as hand creams, herbal teas and ear plugs! The host welcomed us like a family member and had great hints and tips for local walks and places to eat. We felt extremely at home and could have happily stayed much longer.

Andy and Nicola were great hosts and even gave us a tour of the farm. The kids loved meeting the piglets and sheep. The barn has ample space and is well equipped and comfortable. Plus it has loads of garden space to enjoy as well. Highly recommended.

  • We spent a wonderful Easter weekend at The Barn. Lovely spacious accommodation, everything that you'd want in the kitchen, including our introduction to Lincolnshire plum bread, a really gracious touch

    Andrew2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • The photos of the barn do not do it any justice. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Spacious, clean, warm and welcoming. It was definitely a home away from home. Andy, was amazing as well. We arrive late and he helped us check in, he was really friendly and helpful, even spending the time to take our 5 year old to help feed the farm animals. Our son loved it so much, that during the drive home, he kept asking when were we going back! We would highly recommend the barn and will definitely be going back soon.

Only 5 miles from Cadwell Park, Le Moulin is located in the charming Georgian market town of Louth, at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds (designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The cottage is enviably situated on the doorstep of the spectacular scenery of Hubbard’s Hills, a 5 min walk from the nearest pub, and only 10-15 minutes walk from the town centre. There is ample private free parking, and for Cadwell enthusiasts, motorcycle garaging is also available. Please enquire.
The cottage sleeps 6 (8 including the two single sofa-beds in the sitting room), and has been comfortably furnished to provide a relaxing holiday home. The accommodation comprises 3 bedrooms on the first floor - 1 king size and 2 doubles. There is 1 bathroom on the first floor and 1 shower room (wet room) on the ground floor. The cottage has a newly fitted kitchen and comfortable sitting room with spacious dining area. The small, enclosed rear garden abuts a deer park and comprises a patio seating area and summerhouse. To the front, guests have shared access to a sizeable private grassed area, suitable for children to play, however please note that a Mill Race runs within a very short distance of the premises and children and vulnerable persons must therefore be strictly supervised at all times. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, but they must be well behaved, kept under control at all times, and not be left unattended in the premises. Please do not allow your dog on sofas, chairs or beds.
Louth is a lovely town which has retained a good mix of independent retailers and numerous pleasant cafes and eateries. It is home to St James Church with a spire to rival Salisbury Cathedral's infamous - at least, to the Russians - spire! At 293 feet and 1 inch, it is the tallest medieval parish church spire in Britain. Louth also boasts the Meridian Line, the marker of which can be found in Eastgate. Various coastal locations are within easy reach. Donna Nook is a half hour drive. There, the ever-popular spectacle of hundreds of grey seals coming ashore to pup, can be witnessed each November (into early December).

  • One of the nicest stays we've had. Lisa truly pulls out all stops to create a lovely, comfortable space to stay in, with countless thoughtful touches, including exquisite bed and linens. Breakfast was top notch, healthy and choice-filled. We loved walking in the area, it was quiet at night, and within easy reach of several restaurants. We felt like we got to get to know more about Lincolnshire by staying with Lisa, and she told us about Gibraltar Point, which we wouldn't have known about otherwise. Highly recommend staying here!

    Judith2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Lisa's - she had thought about everything! On our first evening after a long drive, she made us dinner (for an additional cost) which was superb! On the next day, she gave us excellent advice about where to go for walk and where to eat along the way (and she even lent us her walking map). Lisa is a wonderfully generous host and it was a pleasure to meet her (and her two very sweet dogs). We had lots of space for ourselves - in the bedroom, sitting room and bathroom - and the cottage is perfectly located for walks in the Wolds. This was our first trip to Lincolnshire and we will sure to be back.

    Melissa2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful location with very comfortable bedroom and private bathroom . Made to feel very welcome by Lisa, had an amazing cooked breakfast to end a wonderful stay.

    Sarah2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was as good....NO, better than we could possibly have expected despite the great reviews from previous visitors. Well done Lisa.

    Marcus2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, very welcoming, accommodating and helpful! If you are looking for a quiet and nice place to stay in, Lisa's house is perfect !

    Claire2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Despite a very late booking on our part, Lisa was a lovely host and made us most welcome. The house is surrounded by nature, being in a rural location but easy to find. The room was large, airy and clean with a huge king size bed with crisp linen. A delicious breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, toast with homemade jam topped things off. We would visit again!

    Roger2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa is the consummate host. First class communications, easy to find a fun evening. Very comfortable bed and a first class breakfast. You cannot possibly be disappointed !

    Andrew2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our three nights at Lisa's place were marvelous! A boutique bedroom and private living area with all sorts of little personal touches including chocolates and fresh flowers. She really goes all out to make you comfortable and feeds you well at breakfast, too. Bed was very comfy, shower was good, and being able to do our laundry was a blessing! Being Central to everything and everyone we wanted to see in Lincoln, Grimsby, and Louth areas, it was the perfect location. Would definitely come again!!!

We do find that dogs seem quite content to run freely in the private enclosed decking area whilst it’s only metres from the swim pool, which is also shared alongside another guest caravan with same facilities and private decking with gas bbq, and the pool is shared also with this home. We do find that people like to book both caravans together for extended families and exclusivity. Each caravan has room for 6 people (12) if both caravans booked together. Bed-linens, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, t. Rolls, hair and shower gel dispensers and condiments, and toiletries provided in the extra shower room/toilet situated in the pool area. • We have just returned from a 2 night stay with Linda and Tony and they were the best hosts that anyone could hope for - from great communication before we arrived, providing fantastic amenities while we were there, to seeing us off when we left - in fact nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything was spotless and we could even take our beloved family dog :) The real pull is the pool area. Again literally everything you could need was provided from inflatables to towels and the kids were totally entertained! Big plus!! Location wise it was great. Only 20 minutes into cleethorpes and 40 minutes to Skegness lots of things to do nearby and Linda has kindly got leaflets together in the caravan of places to go and things to do. We would definitely recommend Linda’s place for anyone looking for a base for touring a lovely part of the country. Thank you Linda

  • This place really is a little place of paradise! Little touches such as a constant supply of towels for the pool, toiletries and making you feel like you have a 2nd home really makes a positive impact. The pool is well maintained and the poolside makes you feel as though you are in paradise abroad. Linda is a very friendly and accommodating host who looks after you and your furry friends. Do make sure that you take a visit to the Koi Carp pool too.

    Michelle2019-08-02T00:00:00Z

  • Anvil Cottage is a lovely spacious accommodation with everything we needed for a fantastic holiday in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. The cottage is situated on a working farm consisting of rare breed animals including cows, sheep and pigs and Andy was happy to show us around. There are lots of places to visit including Lincoln (20miles) and many footpaths for walkers. Louth is a quaint market town approx 6 miles away and the church there is well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend this property to those who like peace and quiet, country walks and history.

    Barbara2019-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • 4 of us had a 3 night stay. Really spacious, with 2 good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and comfortable sitting room. Kitchen is also a good size and well equipped. The cottage is in a lovely quiet spot, on a working farm, but only a short drive in to Louth. Highly recommended.

    Claire2019-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place to stay in the most amazing part of the country. Nicely in . the countryside but close enough to local facilities at Lough, this was a great choice for me to base myself for a five day course in a nearby village. We had a few teething problems at the start but the main thing (and more importantly) was that Andy dealt with these quickly and efficiently. The house was very comfortable and had all I needed. We will come back!

    Mark2019-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at the Anvil Cottage. The cottage was perfect for our needs as a family of four, and was actually more spacious than we thought from the photos. The Hall and farm is a lovely environment to stay at, and the location is great for exploring the Wolds and local area - very accessible to Louth and Lincoln, for example. Andy was a fantastic host and really ensured we had all we needed - he was even generous enough to give our children a lovely tour of the farm.

    David2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is in an idyllic location on a busy working farm, with rare breeds of cattle, sheep and pigs. It is extremely peaceful and well placed for a short drive to the unspoiled and very lengthy sandy beaches from Mablethorpe to the nature reserve at Saltfleet and beyond to the seals at Donna Nook. We had a very pleasant 3 night stay at the Anvil Cottage, which had extremely good amenities and comfortable beds. We've never been to this part of the country before, but we would love to return, particularly to this cottage in the future. Thank you Andy and Nicola

    Jim2018-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, comfy, clean, quiet, roomy space. Weather was exceptionally cold but Anvil cottage was warm with piping hot water on demand. Andy and Nicola provided some essentials as well as a couple of local perks we weren't expecting, especially nice after our long road trip. Now looking forward to cooking the 'Pasture for Life' Andy raises. Thanks both, if we do choose Lincoln, expect to see us again next year!

    Mark2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
