For active people, there is a great location within 20 minutes by car, such as Aquaworld Ibaraki Prefecture Oarai Aquarium, Oarai Sun Beach, Oarai Golf Club, and Hitachi Seaside Park. I recommend the fresh seafood BBQ from the Osakana fish market. There is also a golf course (90-yard short course) on the premises, perfect for golf lovers. Our house was renovated recently. 13 - 15 mins to Oarai station by walk. We also have several bicycles for visitors. You can use them for free.
