Udaipur is the most comfortable city among our India trip. We supposed to stay to only 2 days, but Rosie's comfortable bed and nice view from the roof top made us changed the schedule and stayed 2 more days. Rosie is quite nice in the hosting and introduce Rainbow restaurant to us which is also quite good . The roof top studio is quite recommend , if you come to Udaipur and want to have a sweet home experience , definitely choose here.

Our stay was lovely. The house catered to all our needs. The terrace is a nice place to spend the end of the day. Rosie's suggestions were also very good. Will stay here the next time we are in Udaipur.

Rosie's Udaipur Lakeside Retreat is an exquisite haven of peace just a stone's throw from all of the city's wondrous hustle and bustle. All communication with Rosie was swift and very efficient. She arranged an airport pick up for us, even emailed to ask what we would like her to provide for our first breakfast, and met us herself to take us to the apartment and show us around. The apartment is perfectly located and is both very romantic and extremely practical being a wonderful combination of inside and outside spaces arranged over two floors. By day, the roof top terrace - with its stunning views of the lake - is perfect for breakfast and is a fabulous sun-trap, while in the evening - with flickering candles in the many lamps - it becomes an ideal venue for luxurious, private lounging. The bedroom is very comfortable and well appointed - with great storage if you want to properly unpack - and is also beautifully furnished with local textiles and antiques, complete with a carved stone 'niche' around the bed head with tiny windows that open individually to create a gentle night time breeze. (The apartment also has air-conditioning and very efficient - and quiet - ceiling fans.) The power shower in the spacious bathroom is superb and Rosie had generously provided lots of bathing goodies for guests to make use of. Although we only used the kitchen for breakfasts it's fully equipped for more adventurous cooking and either of the terraces would be lovely for outside dining; something we will definitely do another time! All in all the apartment really is a very special home-from-home in India, and Rosie herself is also special, and an exceptionally kind, generous and thoughtful host. She clearly loves Udaipur and its people, and they love her back; from Aju - the always smiley cleaning lady - to Mr A. at Lake City Tours, Rosie has put together a great team to help her make this a real Airbnb gem. Me and my wife came to Udaipur for a small honeymoon of sorts, and decided to stay at Rosie's place. The house is located right next to Lake Pichola, in a quiet section of dwellings. It's walking distance from the city palace.The house itself was neat and beautifully furnished. The bed was super comfortable, and there were these tiny little lights delightfully hidden all over the bedroom. The kitchen is small but functional with a stove and small fridge, and we were able to make tea and breakfast quite easily. There is cafe Rainbow, probably the best cafe on Lake Pichola, right around the corner. The highlight of the house is the wonderfully charming terrace, with a nice view of the lake. There are cushions around to keep you comfortable and most of our evenings were spent huddled around the "angithi", a coal brazier, talking, drinking and watching the sunset. It couldn't have been better. Rosie herself was a great host. She offered to arrange a taxi for us from the airport. We hung out with her from time to time at the Rainbow cafe. She was very sweet and gave us some great recommendations. There was also the super sweet cleaning lady, Ajju. She cleaned the house every morning, and gave me wonderful head massage on our last day there. It was a pleasure to have her around. Overall, we were extremely pleased to have picked Rosie's retreat for our stay. We would've loved Udaipur anyways, but we love it even more because of this house. We would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to see Udaipur, and would love to come back again.

I'm going to be unoriginal and agree with all the previous reviews. Rosie is a super host and is well complemented by Aju and Aditya. You will find a super clean well designed room with an amazing private rooftop, a kitchenette with a fridge and another private outdoor seating area in front of your room. Communication with Rosie was perfect and really fast. Rosie was always patient and helpful with all my questions. We enjoyed the Rainbow restaurant for either diner, breakfast or lunch with stunning views of the lake. So chances are that you will end up there. I also strongly recommend Charcoal for diner, if you dont mind climbing four floors. If you are into cooking classes, check Shashi cooking classes, it was amazing. Thank you Rosie for making our Udaipur time even more special. Hope to come back some day and we know where we would stay.

Rosie is a generous and warm host who we instantly hit it off with. She organised pickup from the airport for us and was there to greet us and give us advice for the days ahead. She helped us organise our new years celebrations and we enjoyed her company on a number of occasions at our Udaipur 'local'. Rosie's Retreat Homestay was an absolute delight and Rosie's interest in collectables is evident, as is her great taste. The room was absolutely gorgeous with interesting pieces, thoughtfully dispersed throughout the clean and immaculately kept space. We had a ball staying at Rosie's and have not yet been anywhere else in India that compares to her homestay. Thank you Rosie, we hope to be back again someday.

We had an incredible time in Rosie's beautiful apartment. Check in couldn't have been smoother and Jassu and Aditya were on hand to make sure we could check in early which made our stay much easier. The place is very well located for all the sites in Udaipur. It is very well looked after and the shower is fantastic. The hospitality really counted when I was taken ill and Rosie's colleagues were on hand to get me medication and provided me with a place to rest until our departure. Highly recommended.

Rosies place is amazing! Firstly we booked the studio apartment and due to the upstairs rooftop apartment being available, she upgraded us complementary! We had a wonderful experience at Rosie's Retreat. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the water, and near all the nicest restaurants and views. Home away from home truly. We were warmly welcomed and felt really well looked after. The place is beautifully done, absolutely clean and very comfortable. You can tell that it has been put together with a lot of care. Our restless two year old had a great time playing outside in the terrace garden. Tina and her family are warm and very hospitable. We enjoyed our stay at Tina’s rooftop room in Ahmedabad very much. Although she was away at the time of our arrival, she kept in contact with us, and her lovely family welcomed and looked after our needs very well. The room was large, sunny and airy and was cleaned regularly. We enjoyed being next to the open garden terrace and found the room to be private, with a great view over the city. The room is close to shops, transport and a small grocery shop in a friendly neighbourhood. This stay does not include breakfast, which would be a convenient and welcome addition to their AIRBNB services. However there were tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and we were welcome to use the kitchen and fridge downstairs whenever we liked. We would definitely recommend a stay with Tina and her family!

Wow, what an amazing flat, location and family! I only stayed with Tina for a night and I wish it had been longer. The room itself was luxurious, clean, comfortable and modern. Everything you could possibly want whether you're staying for a day or a month is available. This was my first AirBnB try, that too in India, but it all turned out to be great. While in the city, I moved from Hyatt to this place and didn't notice much of a difference in terms of sophistication level of the bedroom or bathroom. The family makes you feel home. The place is near to everything yet in a secluded and well maintained apartment complex. The security is very vigilant. You will not be disappointed if you try here - irrespective of wherever you come from.

Yes, the house is stunning and every bit as beautiful as it looks in the photos but it's the hospitality of the whole host family that will stay with us long after we return. They went over and beyond what was expected: cooking us delicious meals, showing us round key architectural sites, giving us tickets to a classical music concert as well as dropping us at the bus station super early in the morning when we were leaving. They couldn't have been more helpful, sweet and kind. Notes that future guests might be interested in- Smita's masala tea can be very addictive, the beds are super comfortable and the garden a tranquil haven after a day navigating Ahmedebads busy streets.

Kishan's place is a real gem. There's really hardly any drawback you can find there, and it was a real pleasure to share breakfasts with his family. And the dog is lovely, too! Would definitely return.

Great and loving family. Would love to stay again. The pictures don't do justice to how lovely the house is. It's a gorgeous little bunglow, very beautifully designed near the newer part of the town. There is a lush green garden, (and you can almost always see a peacock there in the afternoon!) and big airy spaces. You wake up to the sound of birds chirping. The room has a comfy bed, and all the essentials you need. Kishan and his family also readily provide anything else you would require. They also serve delicious home cooked breakfast, and dinners too, on request. The house was an absolute gastronomic delight as we tried all kinds of gujrati foods. Mr. Shah is a very funny man, always joking around- completely reminded me of my father ( who hadn't accompanied us for the trip) Ba is very cute and always showed us all kinds of exotic vegetables that they were cooking. Mrs. Shah cooked scrumptious food and always had a sweet smile. Kishan himself was always available to help at all times- helping us depart at 5am, letting me inside the house at 1am- stuff like that. Absolutely loved the stay, and would recommend. Thanks for such an unforgettable trip :)

It's a great place if you are traveling alone. The hosts are warm and welcoming. There are no rules imposed. I was surprised when I came to know that I had booked it from 9AM to 9 AM but In my mind it was always 9 PM to 9 PM. Big mistake from my side but Suhas didn't even bring that up during my stay. I think he understood that I was stressed and anxious with my interview and didn't bother me at all. I'd surely remember that. Thanks Suhas. I doubt there will be others so accomodating. My rookie mistake as an Airbnb guest. And thank you Roma for the complimentary drink it was good :)

Shainal's place was at centre and heart of Ahmedabad city, easy to find and locate. The house is located at 9th floor which gives you an overview of the busy city. The communication was very good with Shainal. The only problem with the property was maintenance. If this was sorted, this could be one of the best place in city to stay in. Good luck

I really liked the view outside the window and the interior design of the house is spotless and amazing, esp the lights in the living room.

The place was very convinient to find and was spacious BEAUTIFUL scenery frm windows and just very private and aafe as well.

Location was convenient for us since we were to go to Udaipur via Gandhinagar. We were there just overnight. We did not cook there but the arrangement was ok. We used only one bathroom where we could get hot water. The owner appears to be interested in designer furniture. We could see nice samples of designer furniture in the flat. As suggested by the owner, take care against nuisance of pigeons.

I have booked his apartment. One day before my trip i booked his apartment. Then i spoke to him the same day and he promised to send the details of stay, that he didn't. Next day, from morning (checking in day) i called several times he didn't answer phone then at around 2 pm his representative called me and said due to power failure he could not arrange give the room arranged room in a hotel. He kept us in a dilemma and we didn't know what to do at that time. It was a terrible experience.

Der er flere gode steder at sidde omkring huset, en god skygge terrasse og en dejlig svingebænk ude foran til en hyggelig aftenstund under (URL HIDDEN) tog derudover en tur ned og så Gir løvepark ca 200 km væk. Rajkot der ligger en halv times kørsel væk er også en fin by med flere shoppingsteder. Alt i alt et meget fredeligt sted til at slappe af.

Kanchan is a wonderful and caring host with an equally lovely home. She was helpful from the start with carefully laid out instructions that helped me get to her home and then check in comfortably. The room is clean and beautiful with great attention to detail; Kanchan provides everything that would be necessary for a busy traveler. The kitchen was equipped with all the requirements and a fully stocked fridge. Her mom also sent me some delicious breakfast the next morning :) While she doesn't live there herself, Kanchan is always ready to help and doesn't let it come in the way of a great experience. I will look forward to stay here again, highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet airbnb with freedom to work or for some 'me time'.

We had a warm welcome and Singh family made sure that we feel at home. We are family of 6 adults and 2 children, my entire family stayed over here from 26th - 28th Oct, Hanumantjee and Lata jee are amazing, friendly and very much helpful hosts. Latajee and Hanumantjee connected with us from the time I made booking and offered us help at every stage. The flat was neat and clean, with all facilities, good ventilation and amazing farm view. Everything was professionally managed. Loved the food specially curry pakoda, what made it even more special was Latajee agreed to make it for us at 10pm with a smile. The best part was food we were served was completely organic. Kids are animal lover and when Hanumantjee got to know this, he took us to his farm and kids were very happy after feeding cows. The house was very nice and well maintained with the all the provisions needed for a temporary stay... they also left us with a servant who helped us and even cooked for us... we enjoyed a lot with complete privacy... swimming pool is also there in the next door... really had fun!

Well away from Ahmedabad's furnace, a place to (eventually!) breeze, enjoy silence, and sleep quietly. Rushabh provided about every possible thing to make my stay pleasant, including Raju's constant attention and care. A clean house, a pleasant neighborhood, a healthy environment, a friendly care : what more could you expect ? I strongly recommend!

My stay here was really smooth. The place is very spacious and there is a caretaker onsite in case you have any problems. The surrounding is very quiet (it's a gated community) which I appreciated as I was jet lagged and in India the noise levels can get very high if there's nearby traffic! The host was super responsive, welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this place for someone wanting plenty of space in a quiet location that's a short distance to most of the popular business areas of the city.

The Dodhia Haveli is a gem, tucked away in the historic heritage city of Ahmedabad. Living here is truly an unmatched, magical experience - from waking up to the song of the Imam calling for prayer from a nearby Minar, followed by the hand-rung clock chime of the next door Jain Temple; the neighborhood is rich with culture. As much as I loved the historic location, I loved the people of Ahmedabad more - the family across the street greeted me daily, and Narayan took the most amazing care of me! By staying here, I was in the authentic heart of the city. Every day I walked under the city's first Bridge (on Ghandi Road), and within a few short days of taking the same route at the same time of day, shopkeepers began to recognize me and smiled at me like a local. The Old City is unique and special, with streets of sarees, handmade books, spices, and the city's oldest Market - Manek Chowk. I was particularly impressed with the historic architecture - wood and stone were intricately carved in detail, and many windows had the most amazing colored glass. Take one of the Heritage Walks to truly understand the thoughtful Urban Planning of the Old City, and how the unique construction of brick, balsam wood and plaster has created earthquake resistant architecture. It was exciting getting to learn the old narrow streets of the Old City, although Narayan was always available to come meet me at one of the main roads (Dahl Ni Pol or Relief Road), which I did take advantage of one of the evenings! The old streets are designed to be confusing to those who do not live there (as a security feature from when the city was walled and locals feared invaders), but the Jain Temple that shares a wall with the Dodhia Haveli is well known in the neighborhood.

Deepali's home is very tastefully done. Narayan, the caretaker is friendly and takes care of everything you need during your stay. Knowing that the place is a little difficult to go from the main road, he came to pick us up and walked us through the quaint streets of old Ahmedabad. It was my 4th visit to Ahmedabad and it was by far the best experience. The place is neat and the decor is beautiful. The breakfast served by Narayan is delicious. Definitely recommended for someone who wants to explore the city.

Great location with clean and spacious rooms. Everything is a walk away and the staff are really helpful. The views from this place is exactly like the pics posted. Only drawback is the WiFi, which connects only at the rooftop restaurant. But besides that it's a nice place with good food served at the restaurant.

Overall, an excellent experience. The room was nice with clean linen. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but adequate. A very good deal for the price. The roof top restaurant is nice with an excellent view of the lake and the surrounding hills. The sunset is a definite must see from the top. However, the real unmatchable aspect about the place is Krishna. Attentive to any needs, spends time chatting with you, and offers suggestions about things to do in the city. I requested Laal Maans - a traditional Rajasthani mutton dish - and he prepared it himself! Not to mention it came out finger licking awesome. Will certainly stay there again next time I am in Udaipur.

Krishna is great - friendly and helpful and accommodating. The rest of the folks were the same. The room was beautiful and the rooftop restaurant view was even better (and the food was fantastic to boot.) All of our airbnb experiences in India have been great, but Greco House and Krishna have gone above and beyond. If you're going to India, you should go to Udaipur, and if you go to Udaipur, stay here.

Surely, not a bad experience but a lot can be improved in terms basic essentials. If, you expect a tea or coffee in the morning at 6 or 7 at rooftop then it wont be possible.

We loved staying at Greco House and would definitely recommend it to anyone. The room was spacious and clean with air conditioning. Breakfast was included (you can order whatever you want) The location was great, basically beside 2 major attractions but also in a more quiet spot. The rooftop view was spectacular. The wifi is not available in your room, but free from the rooftop. Krishna was very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. He was available all day and encouraged us to reach out.

Comfortable place and wonderful view. Our stay at Greco House was a memorable experience. The place is comfortable and clean, the service is good and Krishna is very friendly and helpful for everything that you need. The location is perfect because it's close to the city palace , the lake and other monuments. The thing that i prefer is absolutely the lovely rooftop view, you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. We felt like at home.

The place to was clean and well located. Nice rooftop restaurant and Chandra was helpful in arranging airport transfers and any other issues.

Everything was excellent, have stayed already at Chandra's place in McLeod and this place has the exact same awesome hospitality and beautiful rooms and close to everything! Highly recommend a stay here.

The Little Prince was right in the heart of the old city. We had a wonderful stay with these folks - extra nice, indicative of the friendly spirit of beautiful Udaipur. Would highly recommend this place!

Loved the little prince heritage home! 10 minute walk from all the action but it felt a world away, quiet and very friendly neighbourhood that felt like a village. Rooms are big and clean though unfortunately no air con (so I wouldn't stay in a warmer month). Thanks heaps to Eddie for making us feel at home straight away! Also the chai masala was the best we'd had on our 3 week Indian adventure :)

We loved our stay at the Little Prince Heritage Home, which is located in a less busy but thoroughly lovely part of town. The staff were super nice, the rooms clean and spacious enough. There's a nice top-floor hangout area and restaurant with a sweet view. A delicious breakfast was also included. Fully recommended!

Had a great stay at this BnB. So nice to stay somewhere that has grounds where you can lounge and chill out but still be apart of the buzz of the lake. The food is amazing!! Can't fault it. The turtles are cute too! All the people that work there are super friendly
