Marbelis's place is great. Marbelis is very welcoming; communication and check-in/out were very easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and quite charming. The location is great; just a couple block's walk to Frenchmen Street. I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in New Orleans

Nancy and Andrew's place is a perfect country get away! Both are so very helpful with instructions to get different places and they make a guest feel very welcome! The apartment is spacious, with full kitchen and bath. I slept like a baby there!

Mossy Creek was just what we were looking for! It's part of a beautiful property, in a quiet countryside area. The place was very nice and private, but Nancy and Andrew were within reach to answer any questions and even to watch the LSU football game with. Thank you both for a great visit to a part of Louisiana we'd never been to before!

Calvin & Elke live on this beautiful property. What they've done with it is nothing short of amazing. The house is surrounded by greenery, a lake fountain in the front, a pool in the back, free roaming chickens, all kinds of birds, dogs, etc. They've balanced the wild beauty of the outdoors with the ordered cleanliness of the indoors. Everything in my room was spotless: bed sheets smelled fresh, a serving tray with various confections was in my room, bathroom was stocked with everything, internet was very fast, etc. Both hosts are incredible conversationalists. They have much to share about their own lives, life in Louisiana, and life in general. I really enjoyed spending my time with them. This is a special place.

I would give this place a million stars if I could. The bed was so comfy, and the unique decorations all around the house really made it feel like home. The hosts were SO amazing and treated us likely family while we were there and even gave us a "10 cent tour" of Madisonville which let us know where we were actually going around the place. Elke cooked an amazing breakfast each morning we were there and made sure I could eat the things she gave me with my food allergies. The dogs are amazingly sweet and would welcome us home whatever time of the day it was. This was the best place we could have stayed and I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I were just looking for a place to rest our heads for the night before heading to New Orleans the next day... but Elke and Calvin provided so much more than that! We've stayed in many Airbnbs, and their hospitality is unrivalled! So kind, great suggestions about the area, knowledgeable about local history, and overall great to talk to! The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Also had a Roku with Netflix, Hulu, etc. in the room. The room and private bathroom are on the opposite side of the house from Elke and Calvin, which we liked for extra privacy and to not feel like we're too loud right next door. The property is also a labor of their love and so beautiful! And the breakfast Elke made in the morning with fresh eggs from their chickens... incredible! We were beyond impressed with this airbnb experience! If you're considering staying here, do it!

Elke‘s room is pure class. We‘re doing a road trip all the way through the United States without a fixed route. So we short-term contacted Elke for her Airbnb. The place is a Gem in itself. Elke and Calvin are one of the greatest hosts I have ever met. Very impressive house in a magical location. The property is a bit used but is original, cozy and, above all, surrounded by the charm of the forest. We enjoyed a lot the terraces, and our vacation was great thanks to this great house.

Had a great overnight here on a chilly winter night. The house is very unique and comfortable, and everyone, especially the kids, had a blast.

We had our wedding here and would 10/10 reccommend this beautiful place.

OMG! This place is a picture from a magazine. It's truly spectacular. I love ever inch of this property. Being a group of city girls I was worried, oh but the gorgeous views were so serene I didn't want to go. The girls are already talking about renting next year. The property manager Marcus was great as well so helpful and gracious. We will definitely be back

Jane and Brad's country cottage has been by far, my most favorite place to stay thru AirB&B! For starters, it's absolutely beautiful! Both the grounds and the cottage itself. I so enjoyed having my coffee in the morning and watch all the colorful birds dine on the bird feeder right outside the window. We also enjoyed seeing the geese and ducks frolic in the pond! I definitely want to come back with my husband and have a romantic getaway because this cottage is perfect for it. Jane and Brad are awesome and have a wonderful little retreat here! You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing. This place goes above and beyond what you would expect. The bed is like a fluffy cloud picked straight from the heavens, the bath was deep and divine, the fireplace was toasty. The stargazing was absolutely breathtaking and the outdoor fire pit kept us warm. The land was extremely well cared for, a beautiful spot of nature. Enjoyed absolutely every second of my stay, would recommend to any couple or family, and I would stay again without hesitation.

Luxury, comfort, and relaxing all rolled up into one. We loved the bedroom, the spacious bathroom, and the wide open space for the kids to run around in. Jane and Brad were great hosts, super-friendly, and super-responsive to any query we had. The place is secluded and quiet. We enjoyed watching an egret hunt the pond. Our kids enjoyed the swings and being able to look at the chickens.

The cottage was immaculate with high end details. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. We really loved the location- close to amenities but located in a lovely and incredibly quiet, peaceful country setting. The stars were just beautiful. It was spacious and very comfortable. We loved our stay here. The pictures honestly do not do it justice. The view is breathtaking, it’s tranquil and peaceful and just so inviting. It’s a bit scary driving at night because it’s a long winding road and it’s dark. However, when we got to the location, it was very well lit and we had no trouble checking in at all. It’s very, very spacious and the beds we’re extremely comfortable. Amy was a wonderful host! Very responsive and checked in on us from time to time. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. We will definitely be staying again.

Wow what a beautiful little mother in law apartment on an spectacular piece of property. Owners kept to themselves and clearly appreciate guests privacy. The space is clean and nice very modern with nice stained concrete floors and nice kitchen with two ovens. Zero complaints from this guest. If you are in the area looking for a nice stay don’t hesitate to book this place. Well worth the money.

Great place!

We were among the very first to experience this new airbnb listing. The setting was just terrific and the place was quite nice and new. If you like quiet places and horses, you'll enjoy this nicely done get away about an hour from New Orleans out in horse country. With a few more little touches to add some comfy "homey" things Amy is gonna have a real winner here!

Jessica’s place was very cute and in an affluent neighborhood. There are a few dogs running around outside and a cat that would come in for a visit whenever the door was opened. Very quiet cozy accommodations.

Nice apartment space, you have to take stairs to get to it (no issues, just an FYI). Our family had a BBQ cookout, pool was great. The family had a lot of fun.

Our stay in Jessica’s space was one of my favorite AirBNB experiences. We are traveling cross country with 2 dogs and a Uhaul trailer.. so finding places that accommodate both of those things was challenging. But Jessica made our stay so relaxing and stress free! She was in constant communication with us which we appreciated so much. She met us upon arrival and told us where we could park which was so helpful! She gave us a quick tour and look over the place which was just what we needed. I’ve never had a host care so much that we were comfortable during our stay. Going as far as to bring a fan to us because I like white noise! She also provided her suggestion for a meal delivery service that we utilized. The space itself is simple and cozy and had everything you would need for an overnight stay. A bathroom, coffee and a bed- but it felt like we were staying with friends. We signed into Netflix on the Television and enjoyed the nice cool AC (always a bonus). On top of Jessica’s sweet hospitality- so was everyone that was around. Her animals were sweet and kind (our dogs absolutely adored the kitty) and Pappy who also stays on the property was also very warm and friendly. I don’t know if we’ll ever be back in the area... but if we are- we will be staying with Jessica again!

Jessica’s place is the perfect home if you’re trying to get away and relax. I enjoyed her father’s stories and just the amazing atmosphere. Her yard is gorgeous along with cute pups, if you explore the acres you’ll find a great surprise in the trees! 🥰 I enjoyed my stay very much. Will be returning!

Jessica's home is absolutely beautiful. She is very accommodating, and when we couldn't get the wifi to work in the unit she offered to let me sit in her house to use it! She knew the best place to get great wine, and the unit had the basic necessities, and since she's just getting started, I'm sure it will only get better. There was a problem with noise from downstairs, but the MINUTE she became aware of it, the noise stopped and it was peaceful from then on. I had to be up for a flight at 0300 or the noise at 9pm wouldn't have bothered me, and she messaged me right away apologizing, and explained she didn't know her son would be home for the weekend, and he didn't know she was now renting out the apt. I'm sure it wont be a problem in the future. Highly recommend this beautiful property.

The stay was amazing I wish it wasn’t over!! The host is the best! Super sweet and she will make sure you feel at home and supply you with any essentials you need right away. Clean pool and her pets are the calmest clean pets I’ll be more then happy to stay here again :)

A great space with quick access to Mandeville and Covington. We loved the wooded lot, and the space was well appointed and comfortable. It was easy to find and the host communicated as needed. Overall, I highly recommend the cottage for a weekend get away.

Charles’ place is great. Always clean and if you keep to yourself it is very private. There’s a mini fridge in the room which is very nice. Charles was always friendly and helpful. Great if you need some space and quiet away from the city. Country home is very charming & Jeda the dog is very sweet. I was allowed to extend my stay on short notice. Cute little town with plenty of restaurants & antique shops near. If you aren’t used to a country setting this may not be for you but still a great place to stay. The windows don’t have curtains but do have blinds but I am a light sleeper and was the only thing I wished for on the space. Overall a great experience.

Charles is very accommodating

Charles was so welcoming and accommodating with everything. Very responsive to all my questions/concerns. I brought my two dogs and they had a great time playing with his German shepherd/lab. The yard is has great space for furry friends to run around. Highly recommend!

The loft was very clean and Tina was an excellent host for our first night in New Orleans! I would highly recommend staying here.

This place exceeded all of our expectations. The loft was spacious, private and full of sunshine. With a balcony on each end you could bask in sunshine whether it was rising or setting. The beautiful acreage lent a serene outdoorsy atmosphere to the stay. Tina had everything one could need in an accommodation. I hope we can stay here again.

This is an amazing home experience where you can relax on the property near the lake, rest in a spacious bungalow and see all the artistically crafted pieces of their homestead. The inside of their house is like a rustic american Museum, but what made it so memorable were the amazing hosts. They are so kind, and very helpful in sharing ideas and tips when visiting Louisiana. Definitely a five star experience!

This was our second time here! Obviously we just love it...even our sweet, aging, dog does not want to leave. Colleen has made it feel like a home away from home. The inside is clean and cozy and the outside is just wonderful as well. You get the beauty of being out in the country but you can enjoy downtown Covington, Mandeville and even head to New Orleans. Cannot say enough!!

What a gem! Gorgeous farm and spacious, spotless home! Colleen answered all questions and provided everything we needed. Our family of 4 adults and 2 dogs had plenty of space. We cooked all meals, kitchen is well stocked. Lots of beautiful outside space, for exploring and walking! We snuggled in and didn't want to leave. We have rented lots of homes and this is one of the best!

Colleen put the “super” in Superhost! Her warm southern hospitality made us feel right at home. Her cottage home with all of its country charm was absolutely perfect for us! It’s spacious, well equipped with everything needed for a short stay or longer stay and feels very peaceful and homey. We loved morning coffee on the screened in back porch and nice evenings on the front porch. The large, well kept yard was perfect for our dogs to run around and the quiet of the country was very refreshing. Would definitely recommend staying at Ebbersing!

If you are in the area and want to stay at an amazing home. You should definately check out Colleen's place. We all enjoyed a relaxing stay not to far also not to close to the nearest towns. Colleen was always available to help if we needed anything. We didn't need much due to the fact Colleen had her home ready for visitors. With decor and all. The house was set to a comfortable temperature when we arrived and bluberry scoans were in a dish on the counter. After a brief walkthrough with the host ,we throughly enjoyed the house for the next week. Even though we were there for work it definitely felt like a vacation with ample room for barbecues, music ,or having a family gathering. We thank the host for the hospitality ,and would love to visit again if we are back in the area.

We had such a wonderful stay at A Warrior’s Rest! Sandy and Steve were great hosts and were so welcoming. The animals were so much fun to get to interact with! Very nice venue. The house is comfortable and has a delightful southern gallery where you can sit in a rocking chair and enjoy the sunshine. Close to restaurants and shopping. The washing machine and dryer were a very helpful addition. The back porch is nice for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air.

This adorable little house was a really pleasant stay. Very quiet and scenic neighborhood, not too far from the highways we were traveling. Super surprised at how clean it was and all the amenities like internet with a smart TV, coffee, full size washer/dryer, and even shampoo and conditioner. Raquel was a great and communicative host. Highly recommend this cozy little retreat.

Raquel’s place is a perfect little place in a convenient location. Family of 4 and our dog were quite comfortable. The added art supplies was such a nice touch and gave the kids something fun to do upon our arrival. We will definitely be back!

Chanse is very hospitable and his castle is one of a kind. I highly recommend a stay here if you are near!

Chanse’s house is absolutely fantastic! It really feels like a castle both inside and out. My friend and I were blown away by the interior. We stayed in the twin room, but since there was no one else booked in either of the other suites we had basically free reign of the entire house. There’s an enclosed dog run which was great for our two pups, and the location is very convenient. It only took about 10 minutes to get to the Abita Brewery and local restaurants. The beds were clean and comfortable. One of my favorite highlights was a very expensive massage chair in the living room, both my friend and I spent a good bit of time in it. Overall the thematic elements of the house made it really fun to stay in, we’d definitely come back!

We had an absolute blast staying with Trent and Kim! They were incredibly hospitable and friendly, and took the time to chat with us every day. They also offered us coffee, as well as some of Kim's "once a year" homemade crawfish soup, which was delicious. The room was cozy, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was clean. Our favorite part though was the two happy, energetic boxers, Luke and Bo. Thanks everyone for a fabulous trip!

Ever seen an interior design magazine... well this is basically it. Its beyond beautiful !!! Jolie responded quickly. The location isnt too bad. The bridge to cross to go to New Orleans is long but never felt as long as the GPS made it seem. Great place and host. Highly recommend

Everyone felt right at home, and the space was very stylish! They make everything incredible easy, easy to get in, quick directions, very responsive, snacks, and drinks, and no request to do laundry, dishes etc. Just an FYI, there is no running water downstairs, but they do have a fridge with drinks and water, tea, coffee etc. It felt more like a hotel, but way more comfy. The courtyard was absolutely lovely, I wish the weather had been better so I could have enjoyed it more! I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and it was great with our dogs!

Perfect accommodations. We stayed for two nights with another couple at this comfortable place. The bath we shared was very large, but what we enjoyed the most was the patio and sitting room. The location was great for walking along the river and to several restaurants. We are looking forward to staying again in the spring.

Wow!!! Richard and his home exceeded my expectations. If I had to give the host a rating from 1-10, I would pick 11. He was so hospitable; from open communication, to cooking, giving great resources to us during our stay and even learning to dance. I would stay here again in a heart beat. The space was very clean. Richard has just about anything you can think of for the guest; Extra soap, toothpaste, makeup wipes, razors etc. Though he works aton, if you request his presence he will change Up his plans to accommodate the guest. Again, you will not regret staying here. Be careful driving to his place at night, the roads aren’t as bright, but slow and steady.

My first experience with Airbnb has won me over thats all because of Richard. Richard made sure my stay was very comfortable. Richard adds so many personal touches. I loved my Welcome Sign which shocked me yet made me feel special and welcomed also my Towel and wash cloth formed into a swan 🦢 sitting nicely on my bed upon entrance feels more like a bed and breakfast when you stay with Richard. His home is absolutely beautiful, clean and safe. Lastly, his hidden talent is photography. I got so lucky, Richard took some beautiful pictures of me. I had a personal photoshoot which will forever be apart of my memories of my time in NOLA. How can you go wrong with a well priced bed and breakfast and a personal photographer Wooow it’s truly a hidden Gem 💎

BEAUTIFUL, quiet, place to stay on a nice large lot of wooded land. The host has a wonderful personality and the rooms are stocked with everything a woman could need, from make up remover to flat irons.

Richard’s home is amazing. Exquisite. On 5 acres in the country, but easy drives to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. Our room was spotless. The bed was sleep-inducing memory foam. Rich is a gracious, thoughtful host. Next time we get near NOLA, we’re going to stay here again. It’ll be like coming home and seeing and old friend.

Richard’s home is beautiful and immaculate! The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The room also had a mini-fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was well stocked with a variety of shampoo, soaps, etc. I look forward to staying at Richard’s home again.

Super clear check in & flexible too. We arrived in the middle of the night & Rich still made sure we got settled! Made us feel right at home. Home is gorgeous! All the linens smelled so good it made the home seem even more spotless than it was! Made resting easy even with a 2yo & 2 dogs. Thank you, we will be back!

Suzanne’s place is very comfortable and may have the best shower head we’ve ever experienced. The neighborhood is beautiful, the room cozy and nicely decorated. We would definitely stay again.

Stop the presses. Abita Springs Hotels is one of the best, if not the best, options you can chose to stay on the north shore. My husband and I stayed there during this last Christmas as we visited my family. It was such a wonderful respite to come back to after the madness of the days. It was beautifully stylish in the most perfect modern, southern Louisiana kind of way. And those high ceilings! And the wrap around porch! To die for. We definitely recommend staying here.

Home was easy accessible; had the whole upstairs space to ourselves. Bathroom was huge and gorgeous. Had some issues with the WiFi; she offered help right away. Was there for Mardi Gras, super convenient location. Beautifully decorated home as well.

Great space, very private and being upstairs it feels separate from the rest of the house. Clean and lots of little extras! Great communication and very easy check in. We stayed at Amy's place from a Monday - Thursday. The location is phenomenal being in a cute and trendy area of downtown Cov. There's a delicious deli shop where they brew their own kombucha, an art gallery and a bar all around the corner of the driveway (super easy parking, btw). There's another couple restaurants and a bike rental place right around the other side. Be prepared to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the apartment (& another interior set to get to the loft upstairs) but it's well lit and the porch is precious. The electronic lock makes it super easy to get in and out. Inside the apartment was VERY comfortable yet very New Orleans-y, complete with old hardwood floors. A washer/dryer in the kitchen, plenty of towels, even a few travel toiletries in the bathroom. The beds are big and comfortable. HUGE tv in the living room. HUGE lol. As for the bar noise, Mon - Tues were super quiet as it was closed and we popped in for Open Mic night on Wed where we caught a couple local singers. We headed up to the apartment around 11pm and I could hear the singers but it was actually pretty neat. Like a radio playing softly in the background & it just went with the vibe of the apartment & city. I messaged Amy a couple times with questions and she was very quick to respond, including at 11pm when I realized she had an affiliation with the bar as well and I wanted to know the name of one of the singers who caught my ear. Although this was a work trip this apartment was the bite of Nola I needed. If we would have stayed in one of the hotels near the conference it could have felt like any other place in the country and that would have been a shame :)

Very comfortable centrally located perfect for a fun time in downtown

My husband and I stayed at the loft over Thanksgiving and can't say enough about how enjoyable it was. The space itself is so stylish, with a lot of unexpected but delightful Louisiana touches. The location is so perfect right smack downtown in charming Covington. When I stay at hotels, one of my favorite things is the luxurious bedding so I wondered what the bed situation would be like in the loft. I can't speak to the beds upstairs, but the main bed was WONDERFUL - loved the mattress, and the bedding was fluffy and even better than some hotels. I don't know if anyone has mentioned parking, but I would note that while there is a public spot right at the entrance of the loft, there is also A LOT of free public parking very nearby as well. The loft was stocked with anything we may have forgotten (toiletries, etc.) and so many things I didn't expect (coffee, even juice and almond milk!). The kitchen was well appointed, furniture comfortable, and TVs plentiful. The noise has been covered by the listing and other reviews, so I will only add that despite there being a DJ at the club three out of our five night stay it was not really a problem. Pro tip - closing the bedroom and bathroom door blocks the majority of it at bedtime. The host was 100% great to work with. We didn't have many needs while we were there, but when I had a question she answered very quickly, within minutes. Then when we arrived home 11 hours away we realized we had forgotten multiple articles of clothing in the closet. Amy was gracious in her responses even though this mistake was solely on us, did not hesitate to agree to send them to us, stayed in communication about it, and took time out of her own schedule to get everything back to us. I whole heartedly recommend the loft and look forward to staying here again when we visit our family in town next.

Amy’s place was perfect for what we needed: kitchen to bake, couches and beds to relax! Earplugs worked well for the noise downstairs on the weekend.

Best place ever!

If you are looking for quiet and off the beaten path, this little Airstream is perfect. My wife and I wanted to come spend a weekend with the truck parked and be able to bike everywhere we needed to go, and this location was perfect for that. Less than a mile, with minimal traffic to the Tammany Trace trailhead; quick bike access to everything that is great about Covington. Grocery store just a few blocks away as well. These people thought of everything! Disappointed that I forgot my French Press coffee maker at home, only to discover there was one in the kitchen cabinet! Even had the little ceramic coated metal coffee cups. A perfect setup for coffee next to the blooming flowers at their little table and chairs just outside the front door. We will DEFINITELY be staying again.

This is a perfect place to stay, it’s quiet and close to town with many good places to eat. I reserved this camper on really really short notice and Ann answered me pretty quickly telling me the camper will be ready. I will definitely be back to stay here next time we are in town! Thanks again!

If you're looking for somewhere to relax, listen to the birds and have a cozy morning then Ann's Aitrstream is the perfect place. Bed slept wonderfully, check in and out was a breeze and the airstream was fabulous.

Chanse's castle is truly a royal treatment. The level of thought placed into every room is absolutely immaculate, and we were quite literally speechless as he guided us through each individual room. From the cave style shower with programmable jets built into the stone walls, the alligator stone step detail on the balcony, the intimate movie theater experience, pool tables, the best massage chair I've ever experienced, and the pool out back, there is literally something spectacular for someone of every age and interest. Chanse's castle is luxurious, comfortable, cost effective, and patronizing it directly supports his non profit Second Chanse Castles. Our experience was undoubtedly the best I have ever had at an Airbnb, and we can't wait to have the chance to return. Thanks so much for your gracious hospitality Chanse, and we can't wait to see your castle's pop up in more places!

Amazing stay, everything felt very surreal. Great location & all of the amenities will have you feeling aristocratic. You can sense that Chance took great consideration with all spaces amongst the castle’ it almost as a vampire-like feel to it. If available during my next stay in New Orleans’ I definitely will be back! Him and his son both have bright imaginations, and you can tell by all of the fine details. Thank you for making my birthday feel special :))!!

Chanse was helpful and prompt with communication. He’s clearly put lots of work and thought into this unique space, and it is worth a visit! The King/Queen suite was lovely, and we look forward to another stay soon.
