  • I absolutely loved the stay at Norie’s beautiful place in the countryside . It's a gorgeous location, complete with a lovely garden. The cabin itself is sparkling clean, comfortable with a peaceful, green outlook and a has a very rustic feel to it. I loved waking up in the morning to hear the birds sing.

  • The Rangeview Outback Hut is a trip into yesteryear. We felt like a pioneer family but with a lot more comforts! This place is really unique. It is comfortable and relaxing. We loved reconnecting as a family, no TV or modern distractions......just time around the campfire, cuppas on the verandah taking in the views, talking to the animals, the odd chinwag with Norie and Tom, and cosy-ing up in the adorable hut. A really relaxing break away from the day to day.

    Chris2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Norrie was very hospitable and welcoming. Although place has a rustic feel the hut was spotlessly clean. Fabulous fire pit and deck. Thank you , Norrie, for letting us bring our Banjo beagle

    Helen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great weekend get away at a truly unique cottage with perfect hosts. Our daughter loved the animals and we felt very relaxed on leaving. We would highly recommend staying at Norie's cottage to anyone.

  • The outback hut is a little slice of paradise situation in the beautiful country side. We had the best weekend away for valentines! So many highlights but probably our favourites were hand feeding all the farm animals, having the company of Cocoa and Timmy during our stay (the cutest little dogs in the entire world) and watching the beautiful sunset with a glass of wine in hand. Norie and Tom are wonderful hosts who are friendly and accomodating, but also leave you to your own devices during your stay. The continental breakfast which was included was incredibly generous and there were little personal touches like the welcome card wishing us Happy Valentines and choccies in the fridge. We appreciated all the old Artifacts and antiques that have been used to create a real outback hut feel. Would highly recommend this unique stay to anyone looking to go off the grid for awhile and to unwind! Thank you Norie and Tom, we hope to be back again soon! Brandie and Corey.

  • Thank you Norie and Tom for letting me and my partner spend our 1st Valentine’s Day at the cabin. Was a lovely stay, very well set up and was lovely meeting you both on arrival. Was great to wake up to the country noise and wonderful views. Thanks for the special touches of the pillows and hearts on the door made it even more special. Xo Recommend staying here well worth the money and getaway from the city life 👌

    Carissa2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Expect to be welcomed and discover the magic of yesteryear with the amenities of today; awesome!

    Sharon2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at Norie and Tom’s and we are sure to revisit. They are so easy going and welcoming - you really get the feeling that they genuinely like guests coming to visit and sharing their farm and its quirky experiences with them. Our son was so excited so feed Lucy the pig and kept wanting to wander out and see the sheep and the alpacas. The Outback Hut is really a little jewel in Fernvale.

Beautiful studio apartment. Historic Fernvale Sawmill office relocated by us to our peaceful acreage property in the hills behind Fernvale, Vernor District. Once owned by a prominent Brisbane Valley family, we thought it gorgeous and historic enough to undertake the relocation. Located 4 minutes from the township of Fernvale and the iconic bakery; 7 minutes to Wivenhoe Dam; 1 minute down the hill to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and at the gateway to the beautiful Somerset region.
Under 1 hours drive from Brisbane and 25 minutes to Ipswich. Halfway between Brisbane and Toowoomba , with a beautiful scenic drive through the Brisbane Valley and easy access to the north and south coasts.
Fernvale township hosts a number of cafes and pubs which do meals. Cormorant Bay at Wivenhoe Dam has a cafe with wonderful views and picnic and bbq areas and is at the southern end of the dam which extends all the way to Somerset Dam in the northern Somerset region. Both dams offer excellent swimming, fishing and boating opportunities. Other townships in the region are Esk, Toogoolawah, Lowood and Kilcoy each of which offer country charm and amenities. Fernvale township has a huge weekly Sunday market at the local primary school and Woolies is available for all your other shopping needs.

Basic accommodation, a comfy place to rest your head.
Double story 1970s home. Upstairs (where guests stay) has beautiful timber floors, large kitchen, very comfortable couch and a pretty big television.
The neighbourhood is quiet, in fact we might be the noisiest in the street. There is a small IGA just down the road with plenty of take out options such as Pizza, Indian, Fish and Chips. There is public transportation close by and riverlink shopping centre is an easy place to shop til you drop or catch a film.
  • Very comfortable stay. Nice space, everything was clean and tidy. Definitely recommend this place.

1 queensized bedroom located at the front of our lovely family home. The house itself is a brand new duplex with quality finishes. I have styled the property to a peaceful boho vibe to it so everyone who enters feels relaxed and “at home”. Quality bed linen and memory foam pillows to ensure you get a great nights sleep. The bedroom is located at the front of the house so feels private and separated from the other living areas. You will have your own bathroom & toilet.
The duplex is located in a new estate that is very quite of a day and night. You will have full use of the communal living areas/ kitchen and I invite you to use them as you need- wether that’s cooking up a breaky storm or watching a movie with a wine of a night. You will have the main bathroom to yourself equip with a bathtub and shower with separate toilet. There is a small outdoor alfresco area that has seating and lots of outdoor toys. If you are a smoker please use the driveway not the outdoor area as it is directly adjacent to the kids play area. I have 2 small teacup chihuahuas that are very affectionate and will no doubt try get as many pats as possible.
  • Great hospitality, great family, super clean

    Amin2020-02-06T00:00:00Z

Her little chihuahuas were extremely friendly and adorable; her children were very charming. A great little space for anyone who wants to be close to a city and the country for a weekend getaway.

Quaint little renovated Queenslander in a lovely bush setting, close to shops, public transport, and only a 45 min drive from Brisbane. I love living here and love sharing it with travellers. Waking up here to the sounds of birds and wildlife, as my property backs onto the Bremer River that runs through Ipswich. I have a fire pit outside that gets a lot of use and would be happy to have one during your stay if you so desire.
Warm timber floorboards give the place a homely feel, and I hope that is the impression you leave my place with :)
5 min walk to Woolies, Aldi, small shopping centre with bakeries, bookstores, clothing. There is a very comprehensive free outdoor gym a 5 min walk also.
  • We stayed for 2 nights. Andrew made us feel welcome and comfortable in his home. Would stay again if we need a place in the area again. 👍

  • We had a great experience staying at Andrew’s fresh newly renovated Airbnb! The house is a perfect base whether you are after a relaxing holiday or business trip. Andrew is a very friendly host and will give you the space you need, but is also able to recommend some great sights to see in the area and to get the most out of your stay. My wife and I would highly recommend his comfortable house and we look forward to staying again.

    Tim2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew was a kind, friendly host who welcomed me warmly. I liked the big fluffy white towels and little surprise! It was handy to have use of the kitchen and lounge room. Location is convenient to Brassall Shopping Centre just a 2 minute drive or short walk away. As a female travelling alone, I appreciated the locks on both doors of the bedroom and newly renovated bathroom. It was delightful to wake to the multitude of bush bird calls :-) Looking forward to staying again next time I’m in Ipswich.....thanks Andrew!

Escape the city. There is no better time to visit D’Aguilar Range. Only 35mins from Brisbane CBD, you’ll be amazed by the stunning views, wildlife and beautiful tracks through eucalypt and rainforest. Come and relax by the campfire, explore the garden and meet the chooks. The guesthouse is entirely self-contained next to the main home. Ideal location to work remotely, bushwalk, MTB, bird watching, or relax! For now, we’ve limited bookings to 2 people to ensure we all have space
We're on 10-acres of dry eucalypt forest with extensive gardens. You'll wake to the bellbirds, sulphur crested cockatoo and king parrot. The guesthouse has been fully refurbished and modernised into a private bushland retreat. You have exclusive access to an outdoor seating patio for a morning coffee or sundowner drink, plus access to the gardens and outdoor fire pit. Surrounded by forest and nature, you won't believe you're only 30 mins from Brisbane CBD.
Perfect hub to self isolate. Surrounded by nature, daily walks around the garden are a must. We’ve stocked up on board games, books and the TV has Foxtel and HTML cable. We know all the secret spots in the National Park and can guide you on where to go that will be complete solitude. We’re happy for you to use the bike trainer if you want to ‘ride’ outdoors or guide you on the best MTB trails for a solo ride. From leaving the comfort of your own home, come directly to your dream getaway and continue to meet health guidelines for social distancing.
  • Quiet and tranquil spot that is perfect for a weekend getaway. Surrounded by beautiful views and the sounds of nature it was hard not to relax. Only 35minutes from the CBD, will definitely be re-visiting to escape the hustle-and-bustle.

  • Jo’s place is a perfect special peaceful and restful place in the mountains easily accessible from Brisbane. The place is very clean with a veg comfortable bed and has all the things to complete a comfortable stay. The host, Jo is also thoughtful and helpful.

    Mamiko2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely setting and very relaxing stay. Jo was super helpful and cottage was superbly furnished. Thanks!

    Nevin2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • My son and I recently stayed at Jo's place, and it was amazing! The apartment would be right at home in the Brisbane CBD; thankfully, it isn't. This is the first time I've ever prepared breakfast, with a cockatoo begging for my attention, through the window. I only wish we'd have more time to appreciate the scenery and feed the birds; but we were in Mount Nebo for a short course, and just didn't have the time. If we get the chance to make it back to Mount Nebo, we'll DEFINITELY stay at Jo's!

  • It’s an absolute amazing place to relax, beautiful views and outstanding hospitality.

    Anna2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • I can never understand when owners don't offer a sun lounge chair when they have decks with stunning views and I'm nearly always disappointed BUT not this time!!! Not one, but two chairs, awaited us and I think there was one day when we spent all day on the deck in those chairs, reading, napping and enjoying the amazing view. So nice to see and hear the cows and horses wandering by, let alone giving the chooks some leftovers. When we eventually entered the house, it was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. And the beds were comfortable. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants some peace and country hospitality.

Situated on a hobby farm of 7 acres, this is a private and quiet place to stay, the property is only 1 year old, built with eco sustainability in mind. We're approx 2kms off the highway with easy access to explore the Lockyer Valley, Somerset and Ipswich regions. The local communities and shops of Rosewood and Marburg are a 10 min drive. We may be at home during your stay, but you'll have privacy and may see us around feeding the cattle and chooks. There is parking for a trailer if needed.
We designed and built the house and moved in just over a year ago. The house was designed to incorporate elements of passive design to minimise the energy it requires, and has a 6 star energy rating. We harvest our own water, have a water treatment plant on the property and generate electricity via solar panels. The long term aim is to install a solar battery which will enable us to be completely off grid. The area is quiet and peaceful, yet only a minute to the highway for easy access, we're approx half way between Brisbane and Toowoomba.
There are a variety of coffee shops, cafe's, an antique shop in Marburg and several country pubs close by which have great food. The scenery around the neighbourhood is gorgeous with lots of country drives; there are also several golf courses near by if golf is your thing. In Rosewood, you'll find a selection of shops and a supermarket. Our location is great to explore the nearby places in the Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Somerset and Lockyer Valley regions.
  • Incredibly clean, lovely and helpful host who even went out of her way to get us our special milk. Beautiful surroundings and a big space for a family of 3.

A great base with plenty of walking tracks nearby and also great to have a couple of cafes within walking distance as well. Extremely quiet. The perfect place to unwind and recharge. Nice to have Netflix too for the evenings!

  • The cabin at Mandy’s place is beautiful- so neat and clean and comfortable. And a great location for accessing the beautiful forests and creeks of the region (Mt Glorious, etc). Mandy had lovely natural /organic soaps and shampoos in the bathroom - and eco-friendly loo rolls, and dishwashing products- which we really appreciated. Bed linen was lovely and natural. Cookware was excellent, and the kitchen really well equipped for self catering. Mandy was so communicative about everything- but left us to our own devices , which really suited us for this weekend away. Highly recommend and we’d love to come back another time.

Escape city life and relax in the tranquility of Mount Glorious. In this rainforest BnB you can breathe sweet mountain air, take a nature walk, do yoga, play board games by the fire, gaze at the forest from your bed and awake to nature's birdsong. After a restful sleep you can wander just 100m to sip coffee at a cafe with stunning views to Moreton Bay or meander one km to a rustic cozy cafe nestled in the rainforest. All this just 45 mins drive from Brisbane!
This spacious, fully self-contained BnB accommodates three people in the main space or the booking can be expanded to include additional rooms for extra people. Despite the size I only accept one group of guests at a time so you are NOT sharing the space with strangers. This BnB space is rustic as it is made from recycled timbers and second hand materials in line with our lifestyle philosophy. The BnB's main space is open plan with the Queen bed nestled near the fireplace facing the rainforest. An extra Single bed sits snugly in the corner with a screen for privacy. From the nearby ensuite you can gaze over the rainforest whilst showering. However, due to relying on rain water we ask guests to take quick showers. Further beds are available in the quaint attic bedroom which sits above the Zen Room. A Double bed, King single and wrought iron single. For bookings of four or more guests, we open the second bathroom for use. The Zen Room is a peaceful carpeted room with yoga mats, meditation cushions & literature. This room has an additional fireplace for winter. Guests have two private decks with peaceful rainforest views. The large kitchen/dining area is stocked with all the usual appliances and looks over the forest. The BnB occupies one end of my long, split level rambling house. I live at one end and the BnB is at the other. One of us is on-site in the evenings if you require assistance but otherwise we rarely see our guests unless they request our interaction. Tea / 'real' espresso coffee/milk/sugar is provided upon arrival. You can enjoy breakfast at one of the four cafes or bring some goodies with you to cook and enjoy your own breakfast on your deck. Mount Glorious has no food stores for groceries so any home cooking supplies need to bought on your way from Samford (20 mins) or The Gap (30 mins). This Retreat welcomes same sex couples and people with disabilities and their carers. It has wheelchair access to the deck, living space and bathroom but unfortunately the shower itself is not a wheelchair-accessible shower. Sorry.. The temperature is approximately 5 degrees cooler than Brisbane. Winter nights are spent by the cozy fire whereas in summer the cool mountain breezes are a welcome relief from city's heat. The new reverse cycle air conditioner can be used if required. My property is called "Glamalye" which is Celtic for "fairy magic". When the mist rolls in and the fireflies frolic, its easy to see why !
Embraced by lush rainforest, the mountain hamlet of Mount Glorious, at 680m above sea level, is just 45 minutes drive from Brisbane city centre. It is quiet during the week and attracts visitors to the Maiala National Park on the weekends. It is populated by artists, writers, musicians and nature lovers. The property is set on acreage within easy walking distance from the rainforest walks, cafes and the magnificent world-class sculpture garden (Phoenix Sculpture Garden) set amongst the thick lush rainforest - an absolute must to visit!
  • This is very well appointed accommodation (indeed, with a very large fridge) in a lovely setting on Glorious Mountain with a number of excellent walking trails close at hand. I would advise arriving before dark as the entry to the property is not easy on first arrival. It is a wonderful place to stay particularly if you like wildlife and the rainforest.

  • Nestled in the heart of nature, a place where the mind meets nature. Today i truly understand the meaning of Shinrin-yoku, a word unknown to me couple of days back. My heart lies with the birds and the wilderness seen from the place and with an everlasting desire to return again! Thank you Bernie for introducing us to Shinrin-Yoku. Loved the way you introduced life and wilderness of rainforest, made us fall in love with your place. Take care and see you soon!

  • A good open and decorated place, with a good deck, close to all the activities that MT Glorious has to offer

  • Bernie’s place was absolutely beautiful and my fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It was such a lovely space with very stylish decor and interesting literature which we made full use of. Being in the rainforest and just the ambience of the house made us feel completely relaxed and Bernie’s hospitality made us feel right at home. We definitely will be visiting very soon ❤️❤️

    Anjali2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful!! Would 1000% go again! The space is huge, much bigger and more areas than we realised from the photos. Although there is no workable in built oven, there are so many gadgets to use (e.g slow cooker, and a plug in pan/oven & nutribullet etc.) and there's lots of pots and pans for the gas stove top which works really easily. There is so much space to relax in, 2 balconies and a massive relaxation/yoga room. It was very serene and so nice to wake up in with the natural light and sound of the trees. We will definitely be back!

    Leanne2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Bernie’s rainforest treat is absolutely perfect to relax and unwind - leaving the city and suburbs behind. Bernie was the perfect host. She was genuinely happy to do anything that might make my stay even more perfect, while at the same time giving me complete privacy to simply relax and recharge. I will definitely be back!!! Thank you thank you thank you Bernie!! It was perfect in every way!!

Fully air conditioned. Very comfortable Queen bed and TV lounge. Own very attractive bathroom/shower and separate toilet. Sometimes shared if other Airbnb room is occupied but this is rare. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the Brassall bush land where the kookaburras laugh. So much space and many ways to relax and enjoy a home away from home. Access to kitchen on request. Wheelchair accessible. We welcome people from all walks of life.
Very comfortable Queen bed, spacious cupboard and access to the patio and BBQ. TV lounge and attractive bathroom and shower with separate toilet which is exclusively for Airbnb use. Access to a stunning resort-style pool area to relax and cool off, or enjoy the view of the bush. We do also have another queen bedroom to let, which you can book separately if required. You are welcome to use the kitchen for any cooking that you might want to do. There is a separate fridge available for Airbnb guests. Filter water available on tap. Wheelchair access to front and back entrances. We are very casual and relaxed, and enjoy meeting new people.
Very quiet and peaceful but 2 minutes from the Brassall shopping Centre, and 5 mins drive from the Ipswich CBD. Close to bus stop. Riverlink shopping Centre is also fairly close, with a range of shops and cinemas. It is in the suburbs so having a car is very helpful.

  • I am mostly needing my powered wheelchair to get around, and this venue gave me the opportunity to use it for my mobility. I still had to walk to the toilet and bathroom...but I was able to do that. I was very excited. The owners were very welcoming, the staff looking after Allen were wonderful, and Jackie was a great host...Having our private little lounge area, and dining area...with Fridge...worked out very well... Also had a swim on the last day in the pool...very special! Big thanks to everyone!!!Astrid Tholens

  • We moved to Ipswich from Townsville for work, and stayed at Jackie’s place while we looked for a place to rent. We had our own fridge, a great living room, access to the kitchen to cook meals, and a really spacious bedroom with a large bed. Alan and his carers went above and beyond to help us out with parking our car (full to the brim with boxes) in a secure spot, giving tips on where to eat and where to buy homewares, and providing advice on suburbs to rent. A big highlight for my partner Jacob was getting to talk to Alan about the Cricket World Cup and footy. We couldn’t have asked for a better AirBnB to help us settle in to Ipswich.

💚An off grid forest retreat in a beautiful place, for like-hearted women needing space💚 🌳Slow down, listen deeply & connect… Return to your heart & breathe in the nature of your being. You are invited to share in the beauty of Feathertail Nature Refuge, 22 acres of protected land of high ecological value only 25kms west of Brisbane & backing onto the southern section of D'Aguilar Range National Park. A serene 'traffic free' paradise with a seasonal creek & an abundance of native wildlife.
Double bed available in a spacious room with your own balcony overlooking the forest. Enjoy sunrise views (or block them out!) and morning bird calls from the comfort of your bed. Beyond your bedroom is shared space with me, but with so many indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, you'll feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. A meandering pathway from the house takes you into the seasonal creek…when not in flow, you can wander up the creek and get ‘lost’ in your own paradise….when in flow, play in the shallows or find a rock and take in the view. Practice yoga, meditate, read, watch the wildlife, go spotlighting, stargaze, write, eat, drink or whatever else you feel called to do! You'll notice that this place really encourages you to slow down and remember how to 'be' and not 'do' encouraging a greater reverence for the natural world that surrounds and sustains us...and a greater appreciation of yourself as part of that beauty. The house is totally off grid so thank you for being very mindful of your water and energy use during your stay.
For the adventurous walker there are several short and long options for walking directly from the house without even needing to get into your car. If you do want the shops, they're only 20 minutes away back at Kenmore.
  • Very nice place to stay in nature but yet very close to town. The house and the room were very comfortable and Merryl made sure I have everything I need to have a good stay. Thanks Merryl !

    Natalie2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a lovely, relaxing and therapeutic weekend! I am so glad I chose to stay there! Merry's place is totally isolated (yet somehow still only 15 mins from the shops), with an incredible vibe and gorgeous house to stay in, you feel like you are living outside with all the benefits of living inside. Merryl is very kind, helpful and considerate, giving you lots of space and privacy, yet also being available where needed. There were books to read, mediation chairs, tea, coffee and breakfast provisions and free internet. It was great having her around, and did not feel awkward - my stay was a great mix of alone time yet also meeting a new face. The trees and the wind around her place are incredibly relaxing and I definitely want to come back!!

    Angela2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • worth every penny and more for the house, but in conjunction with the lovely host, the whole stay was priceless!

    Lily2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay at Ferndale! I highly recommend it as the perfect tree time get away retreat! A well met need for me in un plugging from my city life to fully reset! yet having wifi access if I wanted. The property was great to bush walk on and really soak up the natural surrounds. The home is spacious, wooden features and tatami mat lined... Such a great feel for a holiday vibe. Nestled in the tree's I got more than I expected. I've left revitalised! Merryl, my host, was an inspiring nature loving & connected person. I felt very relaxed and at home being hosted by her. It felt progressive to experience the low waste and resources conservation manner in which she lives. Amazing natural and effective bathroom products! Thanks for the tip!! An added bonus for me that I thouroughly appreciated is Merryl's authentic relationship with country. Her knowledge of the local wildlife, land ,the traditional custodian's and her family's place in it all. A rare and special experience, relaxing and peaceful. I look forward to my next visit. S o grateful to have discovered Ferndale. Thank you Merryl

  • Merryl was lovely to communicate with. I ended up get very ill and having to adjust our arrangements and Merryl was understanding and accommodating. This is a place with a go with the flow kind of vibe.

    Lynn2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Merryl was an outstanding host - I cannot recommend staying at her place enough! From the moment I arrived I was welcomed so warmly and felt right at home. Being totally immersed in nature, I was able to properly retreat and rejuvenate - worlds away from the city and yet not such a far drive from central Brisbane. Her home is totally gorgeous, spacious and I had plenty of privacy. All the opportunities I had to connect with Merryl were heartwarming and I am so grateful for the experience to be completely nurtured in every way during my visit.

    Jasmine2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute hidden gem! A place to get away from it all and unwind with the sights and sounds of nature! Merryl is a wonderful host, giving space when needed and being available with information on nature walks, and things to see and do on the property or nearby! I love the concept of a retreat away from daily life to renew and re-energise! It was all that and more! I look forward to returning as Merryl has exciting plans to offer yoga, meditation and energy healing to guests! Can’t wait! Thank you for the opportunity to simply be! Loved it!

White Gum Cottage is a private, secluded cottage on our beautiful 15 acre property, Turkey's Nest, at Mount Glorious, a registered wildlife refuge, surrounded by pristine rainforest. Escape from the bustle of city life, with cosy fire and serene forest views, perfect for a romantic escape or a family holiday. We take pride in the homely atmosphere, tasteful decor, attention to detail, and the personal touches of flowers, candles and chocolates. Close to cafes and National Park walks.
White Gum Cottage is one of two delightful, private, self-contained cottages, as well as a luxury B&B suite, on our beautiful property at Mount Glorious, just 45mins from Brisbane city CBD. Each is designed to provide the ultimate in privacy and relaxation. It is a perfect place to escape the bustle of everyday life. White Gum Cottage (sleeps 4) has two bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with double bed), bathroom, full kitchen, living and dining room with fireplace. and a verandah overlooking the forest. A wide variety of native birds come down to feed on the verandah, making this a great spot for photography enthusiasts. Mount Glorious is surrounded by D'Aguilar National Park. There are beautiful walking tracks through both rainforest and gum forest. At 620m above sea level, it is cooler than Brisbane in summer, and can get quite cold and misty in winter - a good time to sit in front of the fire with a glass of wine and a good book! In addition to White Gum Cottage, see our Rose Gum Cottage under our separate airbnb listing "Romantic cottage close to Brisbane", and The Macadamia Rainforest Suite under "Luxury B&B suite in the rainforest". Unfortunately there is no public transport to Mount Glorious. Access is by car only. Parking is on site, beside your cottage. We have operated our cottages for eleven years, and have many regular guests. We enjoy meeting the many travellers who come to Mount Glorious to relax and spend a quiet time together, and savour a forest environment so close to the city. Our cottages have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, to which we add features such as port, home made chocolates, candles and fresh flowers. Massages in your cottage can be arranged with independent operators - please ask for details.
The little village of Mount Glorious is surrounded by National Park. It offers a restaurant and four cafes, and a Sculpture Garden (open Sundays). Mount Glorious is 650m above sea level. Temperatures are on average 6 deg cooler than Brisbane. It is pleasantly cool in summer, and can get quite cold in winter.
  • Amazing cottage! It's another world up in those mountains... and being so close to the city makes it a wonderfully easy way to connect with nature. We loved the patio (and appreciated the citronella coils). Bring some tasty things to cook in the kitchen. Sunrise in the rainforest is magnificent!

  • White Gum Cottage and Turkey's Nest are absolutely beautiful, spectacularly secluded, and filled with cool details. The second visit was just as good as the first :)

  • We had a great time in this historic cottage. We especially enjoyed reading up on the way the accomodation came to be a BnB and how the owners have renovated and built additional dwellings on the property. We would stay again.

  • Rosemary & Russell's place is a great place to stay. They're excellent to communicate with and the place is sparkling clean. Highly recommended

  • Would definitely stay again!

    Kathryn2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Rosemary and Russell’s cottage is exactly what you can see on the pictures. The place is cosy and comfy and the fireplace will warm up and relax the atmosphere instantly. Bush walk during the day and cooking and board game in front of the fire at night, perfect combo for a lively get away.

    Caroline2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of four absolutely loved staying in Rose art and Russell’s White Gum cottage. It was perfectly cosy and charming, and felt like home from the moment we arrived. Checking in couldn’t have been easier, and within minutes had a fire going to sit beside and enjoy the complimentary port and fudge. The location is beautiful, with nothing but lush forest outside every window. The beds were comfy and warm, there are gorgeous hiking trails nearby, and when it rained (as it did for much of our stay) there was no better place to be than curled up on the sofa in front of the fire. We returned to Brisbane feeling incredibly rested and would love to go back.

Fully air conditioned, spacious home. Dreamy queen size bed, TV lounge and separate bath/shower and toilet for Airbnb guests only. Access to kitchen, BBQ and dining room on request. Filter water available on tap. Patio views into the bush. Free wifi. Quiet and peaceful, but only 5 mins drive from Ipswich central, and 2 mins from Brassall shopping centre. We welcome people from all walks of life.
Our house is a spacious home with a separate area for Airbnb guests. You have your own private area of the house to hang around in, but are more than welcome to use the rest of the home too. Have as much privacy as you like, but company and more space when needed. We do have another room that is hosted on Airbnb so sometimes there is a shared bathroom and TV lounge space. But this is not common.
Quiet, lots of birds, bush lands and yet close to everything. Brassall shopping Centre is 2 minutes away and Ipswich city Centre is 5 mins by car.
  • Jackie, Alan and all the carers were super nice! Always had a good chat with them and we felt super comfortable at the Airbnb.

  • Jackie was accommodating, left me alone to do my own thing but there for a chat if I wanted it, kept a clean house and lives in a very quiet area. Over all it was a great stay and I’m planning to book in again.

  • I had booked this as a joint birthday trip and business trip for myself and my wife so my wife could do a course on the Friday then we'd had the rest of the weekend to explore the area. Unfortunately I had an accident work and was unable to fly, but my wife still went as she needed to do her course. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay and felt right at home. There was the option of having her own space in a separate living area, or joining Alan in the main living room which was nice. It was lovely to spend a bit of time with Alan and have a glass to help celebrate passing the course! Absolutely lovely couple! Would highly recommend

  • Jackie is the best host, her home has such a warm and friendly vibe. Something that a motel can't give you. The workers are such friendly people and Allan is great to talk too. • Jackie's house is comfortable and clean. It was great to be able to use the kitchen, and there was plenty of space in the fridge and larder for my food. The bedroom I had was very comfortable. Having the patio to sit on whilst enjoying the bush view early each morning was great. Next time, I may take a swim in the pool.
