Places to stay in Curry's Post
My place is on a working farm in the Midlands Meander in KwaZulu Natal South Africa. Sweet Dreams cottage is situated on Rugare Farm 3kms from the N3 highway Balgowan EXIT 125 (follow the sign towards currys post ) off-ramp that provides easy access but is remote enough to appreciate the countryside with its abundance of bird and wild-life.. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed and the peace and tranquility of the surroundings. My place is good for couples.
  • An absolute Haven! Our stay at Rugare cottage was nothing short of magical, with incredible views, luxurious accommodation and a fantastic host, Colombus. We had everything we could want and the fact that it was so private was amazing for some downtime and relaxation. The cottage is impeccably kept and the bath and outdoor shower are beautiful features! Thank you Columbus for a very special stay, you were such a great host and we can't wait to come back soon!

Newstead Farm exudes charm and elegance, and a significant history that dates back to the late 1840s. A rural smallholding, with horses, pastures and a 700-tree plum orchard, this is a small piece of heaven in a lush and indigenous valley close to some of the top golf courses in the country. Located 3km from the Balgowan N3 offramp, close to the villages of Balgowan and Nottingham Road. To view the farm click on this link: https://youtu.be/YXk_FtjX2hI
The beds can be made up as two single beds or as a king bed. There are no cooking facilities in the room but we do provide a shared fridge and microwave. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area where you can enjoy your meals. Coffee and tea facilities are in the rooms . We also have 3 self catering cottages which are listed separately if you prefer to have more privacy and a fully equipped kitchen.
There is lots of open water on the farm which is not fenced. The farm sits in the rural Midlands, close to Bosch Hoek and Gowrie, two of the top golf courses in South Africa, and some excellent local restaurants. There are lots of walking trails and magnificent mountain biking in the adjoining Karkloof forest. The property is also close to Michaelhouse School and Clifton Nottingham Road School so is perfect for visiting parents.
  • We had such a comfortable stay, the room was beautiful and clean, the bed was really comfortable & the location absolutely beautiful.

Situated right at the top of the D735 (3km off the Curry's Post Road), with far-reaching views towards the Drakensberg & Maluti mountains, The Cottage at Nthaba Moya offers an outstanding self-catering experience for Midlands wedding guests, sports enthusiasts and families. Newly built & furnished to a high standard, the Cottage sleeps up to 6 people with amenities including DSTV & wifi - although you're likely to be sitting on the stoep, sundowner in hand, or star-gazing from the braai area.
The Cottage at Nthaba Moya is a newly built home-from-home, available for weekend & longer stays. Accommodation comprises two double en-suite bedrooms, which open to the wide verandah that runs the length of the building. Choose whether to have the larger bedroom made up as twin beds or a large king. For extra guests, the sofa converts into a high-density foam double sofabed. The fully-kitted kitchen includes a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine and large fridge-freezer. The kitchen is open plan into the dining room & living room. When the mist rolls in, there is a full DSTV service, wifi and a wood-burning fireplace. The cottage has its own large undeveloped garden within an electrified fence. It’s ideal for children’s games and there is a logged braai area - dine alfresco during the day and marvel at the view, or at night under the magnificence of the Milky Way. Nthaba Moya, which means ‘wind on the mountain’ in Zulu, is home to blesbok, rescue donkeys and a variety of visiting jackal, porcupines, serval & caracal cats and many birds. Your host, Sue, is nearby in the main house, on hand for any questions and referrals.
Nthaba Moya is situated on the Curry's Post leg of the The Midlands Meander, a series of routes connecting numerous artisans & their crafts, unique shopping & cultural experiences, and a variety of hospitality venues in truly beautiful surroundings. The Midlands offers various outdoor activities and adventure sports, historic landmarks, wildlife conservation, and many of South Africa's favourite wedding destinations, given that it is an easy one-hour drive from Durban and four and a half hours from Johannesburg. There is much to explore & enjoy in the beautiful rolling hills of the Midlands.

We enjoyed walks through the property, feeding and playing with the donkeys and watching the antelope wonder past as well. Sue's place was perfect for our family and the little touches throughout the cottage made us feel very welcome.

This beautiful cottage is secluded and cozy, with expansive views and outlook. Light, spacious and airy, it is comfortably furnished with everything you'd need for a weekend away in the beautiful Kzn midlands. Mission House is in the heart of the Midlands Meander craft route, and only a short distance from the N3.
The cottage has one bedroom with a Queen bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. There is a daybed with a single mattress on in the living area, so the space is ideal for either a couple or a couple with 1 or 2 small children (there is a floor mattress as well, if necessary). Because of the en-suite bathroom only it is not suitable for an extra adult.
The area is known for the Midlands Meander - a winding art and craft route with a variety of attractions, and plenty of fantastic restaurants and cafes. The Nelson Mandela Capture Site and Museum are close by, as is Midmar Dam for fishing and boating. Nearby are several golf courses, mountain bike and running trails, horse trails, and stunning indigenous forests for birding and walks.
  • Lovely spacious cottage. Old and new beautifully blended.

  • Spent one night at Penny’s place, it was really great, awesome spot great design, cosy and everything you need. Really enjoyed the thoughtful touches, some butter, milk, eggs in the fridge as well as some hot cross buns which I enjoyed with my afternoon tea.

    Rodney2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Super host! This is the second time I used this Airbnb for my stay in the berg because I just enjoyed myself so much. WiFi and DSTV, eggs and butter and milk in the morning, freshly cut flowers and perfectly maintained facilities! Just an amazing host as always!❤️ Definitely would recommend

    Jessica2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the welcoming and privacy given by the hosts, also the decor was beautiful! The place was like home away from home.. Exceeded my expectations!

    Karien2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place! Clean, stylish, DSTV & Internet which is brilliant when you need to have a choice of technology or no technology. Geyser & gas were so reliable and the fans and heaters were always on standby for this 4 season climate. Host goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate and make your stay amazing! I went to study at Abingdon Wine Estate and she was like a 2nd mom to me while I stayed there. Definitely will be back!🥰👏🏼

    Jessica2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was stylishly decorated and had every possible amenity we could have asked for. Penny puts great pride into what she does and the little cottage has beautiful touches everywhere you look - fresh butter, eggs and milk in the fridge, a jar of freshly picked garden herbs, hot cross buns, working WiFi and a proper fenced off garden for our little pup to play in were just some of the things we really loved. We’ve stayed in the Midlands a number of times and this is the cottage we’ll keep coming back to.

    Twila2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I adored this air bnb. What a wonderful find. The space is a former converted shop which has been turned into a little cottage. It is gorgeous, stylish and eclectic - decorated with beautiful furniture and very comfortable. High quality linen and new towels. Everything spotlessly clean. It has all the kitchen things you need. There is also a large outdoor space. It is about a 20 minute drive from Howick centre. Lovely area with lots of nice places to visit nearby. Special thanks to Penny who very kindly put a load of laundry on in her home for us which was massively helpful as we had run out of clean clothes — above and beyond!! I would love to stay here again!

  • A stylishly decorated cottage on a smallholding. A piece of countryside calm, perfect for a weekend getaway. The Curry’s Post Road is full of potholes, so one has to drive with caution, but the destination was worth it. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. My 2 dogs loved a taste of farm life too.

  • The drive to this little haven sets the tone for a restful stay, lots of green and lushness. The cottage so homely and clean with a great view through the glass doors. Cute personal touches in the decor topped by the little verandah seats that make for the best morning coffee chats or book reading location. Would come back again and again. Pear Tree Cottage is a quaint stone cottage in tranquil country surroundings. Situated in the heart of the Natal Midlands, conveniently close to Piggly Wiggly, St. Ives, The Orchards wedding venue and Michaelhouse School.
Beautiful surrounds with lots of space for small children to run around, play ball or ride bikes. Take a stroll to the river, which is a short walk away, or just relax and enjoy the view.
  • A perfect getaway to escape reality for a little while. It was peaceful with a beautiful green backdrop of trees and hills and a short, refreshing walk to the river. It's also in close proximity to many great restaurants in the Midlands.

  • A perfect cottage for a couple or small family wanting peace and quiet in a gorgeous country setting. The cottage is spotless with crisp white linen and fluffy white towels. Lovely views from the cottage verandah and a lovely walk from the cottage down to and along the river. Easy 10 minutes drive away from Michaelhouse school. Dominique is a perfect host. Highly recommend.

  • Pear Tree Cottage is a beautiful space offering incredible views, a connection to nature and proximity to the various artisan areas along the Midlands Meandor. A perfect spot to rest and rejuvenate with family.

    Claudia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve been to the Midlands four times and Pear Tree Cottage was one of the best we’ve ever stayed at. This cottage is truly ‘spotless’ – it almost looks like new and is the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. The level of detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible was above and beyond – special towels for make-up, a baby towel and change mat for our little one and so on. Dominque is an incredibly welcoming and hospitable host – so friendly and responsive – she really looked after us well during our four-night stay. The cottage is ideal to explore the Midlands – you can take a drive from there in a new direction every day or simply walk a few meters down the road for a bite or a beer tasting. Price-wise it is great value for money for a two-bedroom cottage in this location. And the view…. Is stunning! The walk to the river… worth it!

  • Great cottage with everything we needed, in a beautiful area

    James2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Pear Tree Cottage is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. We loved the greenery during our November stay and the occasional misty weather only added to the cosiness. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed right down to a selection of board games which we really enjoyed. I would highly recommend Pear Tree Cottage to anyone with a love for the countryside.

The cottage has beautiful views and we have 2 dams on the property if you fancy some fishing or a swim. We are also both avid mountain bikers and will be happy to share some of our routes in the neighboring forest with you. There is a main bedroom with a QUEEN SIZE BED, a loft bedroom with a DOUBLE BED and a SINGLE BED and bathroom with Shower, Toilet and Basin. If you need anything urgent ahead of your stay with us, please let us know and we will do our very best to assist. If you are looking for solitude, fresh country air in an idyllic country spot on the Midlands Meander - you will love “FAR AWAY PLACE”. Enjoy lazy days in our hammock chairs on the patio too. Our Dachshunds will definitely want to get to know you better & Wimpy, Smooch Or Lady may even spend the night with you if you encourage it! Being a gay, married couple we are obviously gay-friendly - but being gay is by NO MEANS a prerequisite to enjoying our beautiful cottage in Curry's Post on the Midlands Meander - so I guess that makes us hetero-friendly too LOL! Every man dies. Not every man really lives. (William Wallace) - So come live a little at a “FAR AWAY PLACE”, that is not too far away from everything in the Kwazulu Natal Midlands – Curry’s Post.
Curry’s Post is a beautifully scenic area in the heart of the Midlands Meander that lies between Mooi River and Howick. It has a quaint history that involves the Curry Family, after whom Curry’s Post is named, who settled here, establishing an overnight wagon and cart stop - in essence a staging post. It is the more natural and quiet side of the Meander and that is what we LOVE about it.

  • Great location, very tranquil! Lots of birds and nature. We had a fantastic time, Marc, the host, was friendly and gave us some good tips of things to do. The dogs were friendly and joined us on our walk to the trout dam. Highly recommend!

  • We had a delightful time! Marc and Lee are exceptionally warm and friendly and went the extra mile. Their 6 fluff bundles were the highlight of our trip and we miss them all already. Gorgeous cottage and a relaxing quiet location. We highly recommend this wonderful home. Xoxo

  • Mark and Lee were great hosts from the time we arrived. We were given a warm welcome from them and shown to our cottage. They were kind enough to lend us some butter (we had forgotten to bring) and even left some farm fresh eggs for us! We were also assisted with extra firewood and firelighters. A beautiful, quiet getaway with spectacular views. Easy to find if you follow their instructions.

  • When you're planning to visit the Midland Meander, you must stay at Marc and Lee's Far away place! We enjoyed the cottage with good aminemities, the beautiful surroundings, and the tranquility. Marc and Lee were perfect hosts, with great tips on where to go (sightseeing or have a bite to eat). They were just a stone throw away, while we had all the privacy we needed. We loved their dogs (Wimpy, Chino, Smootches, Lady, Toffee, and Peanut) who visited us daily, without being a bother at all (perfectly trained). We highly recommend Far away place and will be back one day!

  • ‘Far Away Place’ is a solid gold choice of Airbnb. Booking was a breeze. Prior to arrival, host- Marc, was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to queries. Marc, was welcoming, exceptionally friendly, easy to get hold and very helpful. The location itself is idyllic. The cottage is wonderfully situated, looking onto a lake below with panoramic views of the surrounding green countryside. Pure nature. Peaceful. The cottage is very well equipped with everything a traveller might need. We loved Marc’s Dachshunds and wanted to adopt one! The farm-fresh eggs were a real novelty. A roaring fire was wonderful. Thank you. We will be back. I have found my piece of heaven.

The Cob House, which we started building as a place of tranquility and reflection, 10 years ago, is built of local organic materials and is set on the 2000 Ha Sherwood farm that has been a beef ranch in our family since the 1850s. Its a safe place where guests are invited to walk, run or cycle the many paths across the farm, bathe in the pure Karkloof stream or simply soak up the African sun on a working farm. The lodge is so secluded, its ideal for romantic getaways, families and naturists
The space is tranquil, with many secret valleys and pools for adults and children to really experience the beauty of nature in a safe and wholesome environment. We have had no cultivation on the farm for more than 20 years so its a place that truly reflects the unique beauty of the Karkloof Valley
We are 2km from our nearest neighbor, so your stay has been crafted to provide solitude and privacy. We are 20km from the very popular Karkloof Mountain Bike Trails, where the club house offers wholesome meals, ice cold bears and hearty local hospitality
  • Rustic, secluded with great views of the Karkloof hills & mountains.

    Schalk2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible space and architecture in the most iconic off the grid surrounding. This is a serendipitous bucket list find I most certainly want to re-visit. Thanks James!

  • We enjoyed a wonderful, peaceful few days on the farm. The accommodation is rustic with all the amenities you would need to enjoy a few days away from the city. Would highly recommend if you want a few days away from the city to unwind and unplug.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. If you are looking for a rustic remote farm experience/time out then this is a fantastic spot. James and Calvin were extremely helpful and welcoming. Enjoy the wildlife that the farm has to offer in a fantastic setting and piggy the little dog will accompany you on all your walks. We will be back

    Tim2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was a phenomenal experience. The house is like an Earthship - beautifully designed and built, and adventure to stay in. It was wonderful having homestead animals all around us and there was nothing better than sitting around the fire in the evening after wondering through the valley on the property. Our dog was beside himself with happiness. The hosts were super on-the-ball and so generous with their assistance, the house was clean and the view was wonderful. I would love to visit again in the future.

Nestled between two rivers in the Karkloof Valley, The Studio at Mizpah Farm Retreat sleeps 4 in a single living space with a king size bed and 2 singles. It includes a semi-enclosed kitchenette and verandah with spectacular views of our own waterfall and the Karkloof mountains.
Situated as we are in the Karkloof Valley, there are no shortage of mountain bike ride routes, walks, runs and birding opportunities. There are horses on site, and guests are welcome to appreciate the solitude and the scenery through the forest, dam and the river walks. The horses will greet you en route, as will the giant Kingfisher at the waterfall. There is less than 1km to the nearest mountain bike single track, and the renowned Karkloof Country Club is 8km down the road, and boasts arguably the best MTB tracks in the country! Karkloof Canopy Tours are 5km away and it is 12 km to Midmar Dam. The nearest shops are in Howick, about 12km away. We are dog and horse friendly. If you would like your horses to stay over, there is a fenced electric paddock that can accommodate them for the night as well!, with a shelter at View Cottage. We would ask for AHS and Equine Influenza vaccines. Dogs need to stay off the furniture! There are dogs on the property as well, but they are all well socialised.
The Karkloof is famous for its mountain bike rides, outstanding views and fantastic bird life.
  • The view! Just mindblowing! Everything else as described in the description. Did I mention the view? Will definitely be back.

  • The Studio at Mizpah was such a lovely open space to stay in. The beautiful view is so captivating and makes for a lovely place to sit back and relax. My partner and I also indulged ourselves in nature walks around the property which made the experience even better. This place is great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate. Thank you for the lovely space Mizpah. :)

  • Outstanding place! Everything was brilliant. The location is ideal for exploring the area. Close to great places to eat, close enough to Howick for supplies, secure, safe and absolutely serene. THAT VIEW! Words can't describe the view, the feeling of peace and tranquility, the friendliness of our hosts and their animals. On arrival we were gifted fresh eggs and that special touch really affirmed to us that Mispah is special. We cannot recommend highly enough this studio. It has everything you need to make your stay great! Hot showers, blankets and electric blankets when cold! All kitchen items at hand and even a selection of books to read. Hands down, one of the best Airbnbs we have had the pleasure of staying in. Don't miss out. X

    Stephen2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. Stunning view! Comfortable cottage and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The cottage is conveniently close to all the fantastic single MTB tracks around Karkloof. We will surely visit again.

We are 5km on the old Curry's Post Road from Terbodore & a short 12km drive into Nottingham Road. We love our dogs (all 6 of them - 5 Dachshunds (Smooch, Chino, Toffee, Peanut & Wimpy) & Lady. If dogs are not for you, then our cottage is not recommended.

An upstairs bedroom (also with a queen bed) & bathroom featuring toilet and basin for upstairs guests. The main bedroom downstairs also features a queen bed and its own en-suite bathroom & huge walk in shower with views to the mountains. • Beautiful self contained cottage that's stylishly decorated, furnished with all the added comforts like bathrobes, Nuguni Cottage far exceeded my expectations and was exceptional value for money. The extra (and unique) touches like an outdoor conversation pit with its own bonfire fireplace alongside a beautiful water feature with a statue of Buddha add to the beautiful surroundings and views of the Karkloof Highlands. The private outdoor shower is something very special. Marc & Lee (and their family of Daschunds) were excellent hosts and went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was something truly memorable. The cottage is brand new and my only regret is that its not going to be Curry Posts best kept secret for much longer. Once the word is out - I can see this venue been in huge demand. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend. Hope to visit again in the near future.

  • What a fantastic place. Katie really deserves her superhost status! A gorgeous cottage located in the heart of the midlands, where our kiddies got to collect eggs from the chickens, dig up some organic veg, and pet and feed the pig, sheep and chickens. Bass fishing on the dam is wild, and if you not into fishing, a sundowner with a view will do! We will most definitely be back!

Near Nottingham Road, this tranquil cottage is set on a trout dam, with endless views over the mountains, two fireplaces and a beautiful kitchen, and the outdoor shower, where you can relax under warm water and breathe in the fresh mountain air. It is a cosy space, close to the midlands meander and nearby wedding venues such as Providence, Brahman hills and Fordoun. The thatch roof lends an earthy feeling, while the deck overlooking the view is perfect for relaxing.
The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen, and a TV but no DSTV and WiFi. There is a dish, so you are welcome to bring your decoder and card, and the TV is perfect to show pre-recorded movies or series. It is a place where you can choose to be away from technology, or dabble in it if you choose. There are games to play and music to listen to, as well as a card table to play bridge. It is a perfect getaway. It is priced for 6 people and if more there is a cost per person. However, if you are fewer than 6 people please request a special price and I will price it accordingly.
There is a beautiful trout dam in front of the cottage, you are welcome to fish responsibly. There are numerous other local dams where you pay a small fee and can fish, details about that are in the cottage. Just down the road is Terbadore coffee, a treat of a spot for breakfast, lunch and coffee (they roast their own blends) and their rusks are memorable. Nottingham road is not far, and there is easy access to Balgowan area where there are wine estates and lovely places to meander. Here you will find the Mandela Capture site, well worth visiting. Nearby is Piggly Wiggly where there are lovely shops and restaurants and treasures and trash where there are lots of LP records and other treasures to be found. There are lovely places to walk in the vicinity of the cottage.

  • What a wonderful place! We LOVED everything from beginning to end! Thanks for hosting us Gillian.

  • Great place. Dog friendly with a dam was an added bonus for us

    Clyde2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A nature lovers perfect getaway! There was a lovely bottle of sherry left out for us when we arrived - a very thoughtful touch which we enjoyed! The outdoor shower was amazing and private. This is a beautiful cottage with lovely clean linen and towels. So tranquil with the odd spotting of deer and sounds of the neighbouring sheep, cows and goats across the dam. The kitchen is so well stocked with ample cutlery and crockery and nifty gadgets - a foodie's dream! There is a wine cooler, plenty fridge space, a variety of dried spices, a hand blender, coffee machine and loads of dish towels. Citronella candles were also provided. Expect to encounter the odd spider, frog, field mouse or crab outside - it is the countryside! None of us suffered any insect bites which was a bonus! The living area is tastefully decorated with artsy furniture and lots of candles. There are two lounges, each with it's own fireplace and plenty firewood. The main lounge has a beautiful reading window and there are plenty blankets and throws for those nippy mornings. Network signal was an issue for us Vodacom users, but nothing a little walk about couldn't solve. There is a lovely loft that sleeps 3 - the teenagers really enjoyed this, and there seemed to be better signal up there. Highly recommended for a peaceful family getaway. We will definitely be back!

Newstead Farm exudes charm and elegance, and a significant history that dates back to the late 1840s. A rural smallholding, with horses and cows, some pastures and a 700-tree plum orchard. Located 2.5km from the Bosh Hoek Golf Course on the N3 off ramp, close to the villages of Balgowan and Nottingham Road. 15 minute drive from Brahman Hills Hotel and 10 minutes from Providence and Cranford wedding venues. There is no WiFi or TV.
This two bedroom cottage that can sleep 6 in two bedrooms with a sleeper couch, is situated in the fields of the farm overlooking a dam. There is a one bedroom cottage located next door to this cottage which works well if you are a larger family group and want to rent both cottages.
This is a working farm. There is no WIFI nor TV.

  • Perfect little guesthouse in peaceful valley. Will be a preferred stop for future travels. Private fenced garden area gave us a safe place to leave the dog while we meandered around. It was well shaded so no issue in the heat. Host even provided firewood for rainy days inside. Morning walks had an obligatory stop along the driveway to collect fresh blackberries. We had a great rest here. Comfy beds, good shower and kitchen

  • Lovely tranquil spot with incredible views of the rolling Midlands hills. We often stay in the Midlands but discovered a whole new world on the ‘other side’ of the highway! We felt welcomed and the little bottle of farm fresg milk in the fridge, is a lovely touch. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our brief stay.

    Anna2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was great place tobstay. Very clean and nice for a quite holiday.

    Elza2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Felt like a beautiful secret spot! We didn’t get to explore as much as we had hoped (family commitments) but we will be back. My girls thought that fairies lived in the garden, hubby loved the farm milk and cookies and I will be back for the view and cosy fireplace.

    Steph2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for long or short holidays to the Midlands. Helpful hosts. Comfortable and homely accommodation. Pet friendly.

    Elaine2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very well organised and the fire place was an added bonus. Was our pitstop back from the weekend trip but will be returning to stay a bit longer*

    Jan2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • A little piece of paradise! We enjoyed being away from the hussle and bussle of city life, and we loved the warmth of the hosts and the tranquility of this farm studio. Definately a lovely place to take your family and spend some quality time to unwind without the distraction of TVs and loud music and air and road traffic. Next time we are taking our dog along too, as they have a big enough enclosed garden space.

    Stefan2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for your warm welcome! We had a wonderful stay. Especially enjoyed having meals under the big oak tree with spectacular views of the Midlands and swimming in the natural pond on your property.

The accomodation was very neat, well kept and extremely well furnished for a self catering place. The location was stunning and not too difficult to access. Their dogs, Honey and Tess, were also very friendly and welcoming and extremely well behaved. I would recommend Top Spot to anyone and everyone!

You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the views, and the location. We are good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers and are situated in Balgowan/Lidgetton, in the KZN Midlands. We're close to Granny Mouse Country House (1km), Michaelhouse School (6km), Orchards Wedding Venue (3lkm) The Glades (7km), Piggly Wiggly (7km), Culamoya Chimes (8km), Buffelsbosch Equestrian Centre (6km), Mandela Capture Site and are ideally situated on the Midlands Meander just off the R103.
The units are well appointed and very comfortable with poly percale linen on the beds and electric blankets. They are equipped with towels (replaced every 4 days), tea/coffee/sugar/small milk, salt/pepper. There is a 2 plate stove and oven, microwave, fridge with a separate freezer on top and fully equipped kitchen. All rooms have heaters, fans, small braziers and braais – please bring your own wood and or charcoal. Showers have soap, shampoo, shower gel and hair conditioner. The rooms are not serviced so you will not be disturbed. Should you require someone to come in daily and make the beds and wash dishes, this can be arranged at an extra R75 per day per unit.
Enniskerry is unique in that we are situated in a rural residential area. This means we have neighbours but are in a farm environment. We are close to Granny Mouse Country House and Spa (1km), Orchards Wedding Venue (3km), Michaelhouse School (6km), Piggly Wiggly (7km), Caverham Mill Restaurant (6km), The Glades (7km), Buffelsbosch Equestrian facility (6km) and Culamoya Chimes (8km).

Newstead Farm exudes charm and elegance, and a significant history that dates back to the late 1840s. A rural smallholding, with horses, cows and pastures and a 700-tree plum orchard. Located 2.5km from the Bosh Hoek Golf Course on the N3 off ramp, close to the villages of Balgowan and Nottingham Road. 15 minute drive from Brahman Hills and 10 minute drive from Providence wedding venues. There is no WiFi and noTV.
This one bedroom cottage that can sleep up to 4 people, by adding extra beds into the sitting room, is situated in the fields of the farm where you can relax. There is a 2 bedroom cottage located next door to this cottage which works well if you are a larger family group and want to rent both cottages.
This is a working farm. There is no WIFI nor TV.
  • What an awesome destination. Fantastic attention to detail. Definitely a place to return to.
