The Devil's Cradle is a luxury self contained lodge situated in the Surrey Hills, within acres of National Trust land. It comfortably sleeps two but does have a sofabed in the lounge area. It is opposite a beautiful pub that serves great food.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, fridge, washing machine and free wifi. With the B&B option, which is an additional charge, we offer a selection of cereals, toast, yoghurts, juice, tea, coffee and a welcome pack of groceries including bacon, egg, sausages, tomatoes & mushrooms left in the B&B. The lounge area has a good quality double sofa bed, this sleeps two in comfort but when in use utilises the space in the compact lounge. The bedroom area has a king size four poster bed and en-suite shower room and bath. This is part of the bedroom area. There is a flat screen TV in both the bedroom and lounge area and we also provide a selection of DVD's. There is a lovely veranda with a sofa, table and chairs for al-fresco dining. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but we ask that they may not be left alone in the lodge or the garden please.
  • Lovely place. Well stocked amazingly comfortable would love to stay here again.

  • This place is absolutely the right place to choose if you're looking for a cute, beautifully decorated and kitted out little haven. I can't think of anything we needed that it didn't offer. Trish is really helpful and always has a smile, and obviously has an eye for the little details. The breakfast ingredients were all really good quality and the kitchen items make it easy to cook and clean up. We did a 7 mile round walk (much shorter routes are available) from the front doorstep to Frensham Ponds for afternoon tea which was delicious, used the Bel & Dragon for a meal on arrival which very much lives up to it's rave reviews, and enjoyed an evening in with some board games (we took our own) and the prosseco that Trish had kindly gifted us for our anniversary stay. Our little dog was warmly welcomed too which made the whole trip much easier. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll be back.

  • The cabin is beautiful and cosy, with plenty of little luxuries and personal touches for a special stay. We loved the soft bath robes, cosy bed and delicious food items, aswell as the location with lovely pub across the road. Trish made every effort to ensure we were well looked after and enjoyed our stay, even though she was unable to be there in person. We had a lovely weekend for our Anniversary and would love to visit the cabin again in the future. Thanks again Trish xx

  • Lovely people and clean, comfortable room. We didn’t realise it was part of the house but it’s in a separate bit just off the lounge and we didn’t feel too much that we weren’t completely private and the room is beautiful and it’s great value. I would recommend the room and think that anyone that stays will have a comfortable and pleasant stay.

  • I stayed with Ewa and Richard when I was in the village for a trail race. It was the perfect place to rest my head - with a cosy room and THE MOST comfortable bed. Thanks for a great stay!

  • We spent a very comfortable couple of nights at Ewa's and Richard's place. The room was fantastic, bed extremely comfortable, exceptionally clean with lots of nice touches. They were both extremely welcoming, as well as very responsive to questions in the lead up to our stay. We used it as a base to travel into London, for which it was well located a short walk to the station. Overall a fabulous stay. THank you!

Lovely, single room within my friendly 3-bedroom house in Witley, Surrey. Milford station 15/20 min walk, easy travel links into London. Bus 5 minutes. Parking. A good size room, with a quality single bed. WIFI and use of kitchen, garden, lounge. I have a very small Yorkie.
Single private good size room with single bed in good countryside location. The room is clean, quite and comfortably furnished with a reading light, wardrobe, desk, shelves, mirror, blackout blinds, heating, double glazing. I live in a close rather than on a main street, so it is quiet and peaceful.
Witley village is a great and lovely countryside location ideal for long walks and running, with Witley Common, and other country walks within short walking distance. The local pubs are a short walk away and offer excellent food and the locals are very friendly. A newsagent and other general shopping facilities nearby. This is a peaceful environment, which offers good access to Milford or Witley Stations, which provide direct services to Guildford (10 mins) & London Waterloo in under an hour.
  • A quiet and peaceful location with a good sized bedroom and everything you need.

A comfortable double bedroom with the use of the kitchen and other downstairs rooms. The shared bathroom is normally only used by you. Less than a mile from Haslemere station, the house has easy access to the town and the many attractions of the South Downs national park. The room has a TV, facilities to make tea or coffee if you don't want to pop to the kitchen, and great views over our back garden with a brook running down the side. A simple "serve yourself" breakfast is included.
The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. Guests may use the kitchen and living room downstairs for preparing and consuming drinks and meals, and relaxing in. Feel free to explore the garden and enjoy the garden room too.
Haslemere is a beautiful town with plenty of amenities and interest. The leisure centre (including a swimming pool) is a short walk from Brookside, and the town centre a little way beyond. There are nearby walks to the National Trust beauty spots of Marley Common and Black Down (with its wonderful views over the Surrey and Sussex countryside), and easy access to the Devil’s Punchbowl.
  • I had a great experience staying with Pete and Kate. They made it an easy experience and I received a warm welcome. I would stay again if needed in the future.

    Ellie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • I received a warm welcome from Pete and Kate who managed just the right balance of being both attentive and laid back hosts! The room and facilities were just what I needed whilst attending a 3 day intensive event nearby. I will definitely return if the opportunity arises :)

  • Pete and Kate are very welcoming, friendly and accomodating. I really enjoy staying with them.

    Sonya2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The room and house that the room is in, is absolutely wonderful! Pete and Kate are excellent hosts, very considerate and accommodating. Very knowledgeable, Pete and Kate always had insights for every need - where to go for a night out, good places to hike, etc. The room itself is wonderful and homey, with all things necessary to meet simple pleasure in life, e.g. an electric kettle for coffee/tea in bed. The proximity to great hikes and beautiful walks is an added bonus, as there are a surprising amount of redwoods in the area! For nature enthusiasts/ecologists/artists looking for inspiration, this is a great spot to see many ecological wonders and the joy of nature! Many amenities are in easy walking distance - not more than a 20 minute walk to the local Tesco, a wonderful cafe (the Lion's Den), and a few pubs. If you're looking for a rustic stay, some peace and quite from the bustle of the city, or in town for a wedding, this is the perfect spot to stay!

    James2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pete and Kate were the perfect hosts. A real home from home and they even provided cereals and toast for breakfast. Much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

  • You can expect a warm welcome at Brookside. It's a comfortable bedroom at the back of the house away from the road so is nice and quiet. The room looks out onto a lovely garden with brook..hence Brookside! I didn't stay for breakfast, though it was offered, as I'd been invited out. Pete kindly took me to the venue. A big thanks.

  • I stayed at Pete and Kate's place for a weekend while attending a course. They were very warm and welcoming hosts, Pete even collected me from the train station the night I arrived! Lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you

Our Shepherd's hut is set amongst 30 acres of unspoilt mixed woodland and paddocks, just on the edge of the South Downs national park and yet also moments away from Haslemere's lovely shops, restaurants and cafes. The hut is fully insulated and has central heating so is suitable for year round use. You will have privacy and your own space, and although our family home is on the same site, it is nearly 200 metres away . We are on site and will be at hand if you need anything.
Our brand new shepherds hut has recently been built to a high specification. It is a good sized hut with a kingsized bed, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom with a good sized shower. It is well insulated, with central heating, and is fully serviced so will be comfortable year round. The hut is situated out of sight of our main residence in a secluded position. Due to the bad winter weather the parking is available on the large tarmac area by our garaging & stabling, but from spring and summer it will have its own private space very close by. We have 30 acres of fields and woodland and guests are welcome to explore and we have some amazing walks nearby as are within easy reach of Black Down, Devils Punchbowl (Hindhead) We have lots of animals and you are welcome to collect fresh eggs from the chickens in the morning. Just ask and we will direct you.
The great thing about our location is that you can have the best of both worlds- peace & quiet surrounded by woodland, yet shops and restaurants are only a 10 minute walk away (3 min drive if you're feeling really lazy)
  • Wonderful and relaxing stay. Highly recommend, the hut is absolutely lovely.

    Rosie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, can't think of anything that would improve this Shepherds Hut! It had everything I could possibly need. Would definitely book again if in the area.

    Tony2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I would totally recommend this. My husband and I had a much needed night away to relax and top up on parenting tokens. This was a lovely peaceful location with stunning walks just a stones throw away. You will not be disappointed.

    Gladys2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky's shepherd's hut is an absolute joy. It is equipped beautifully with everything you need - all designed so cleverly that is feels genuinely spacious inside. It might look like a shepherd's hut from the outside, but step through the door and it's a real little home from home! The location is truly private and the woodland birdsong blissful. Tip : for any vegan guests "Hemingway's" on the High Street is a revelation, the choice is phenomenal

This garden room has been converted from a shed in our garden. It is quiet and secluded, by a soothing stream with a lovely outlook into the garden, with space for a bed settee and a table. The garden itself provides more space in good weather. An easy walk to the main house gives access to the kitchen, cloakroom and dining room (with a TV) . The garden room does have its own TV and WiFi. A shower is available by arrangement with the hosts. Parking is possible by the room.

Small single bedroom, raised bed (see pics) with shared bathroom opposite and shower-room/loo downstairs. Good wifi. Help yourself to tea/coffee anytime, and cereal/toast etc in the morning. The cat will probably force her way into your room, I'm afraid. Plenty of on-road parking. 1 mile to station, village shops 1/2 mile but you'll find a car easier as Godalming is better for eating out. Ideally suited to people travelling for work, although we are in a great area for walking and sightseeing.
As the room is a bit small, it's probably not great for using as a holiday space - though that's up to you. We are in a great tourist area, but close to London, Guildford and M3 corridor. We both work from home so there's usually someone about. We're close to Fitzpatrick Referrrals (1.5 miles), easy access to Guildford/Portsmouth (A3 and rail) Breakfast is DIY - cereal, yogourt, fruit, toast (I'll show you where everything is). If you are staying for a week or more, you are welcome to use the kitchen for prepping an evening meal (no hot food upstairs) but let me know when, and whether you need space in our rather small fridge. Please note that you are sharing our living space, and it is a medium/small family house, so I may have a few questions for you when you book. If you have any questions, please do contact us prior to using the instant book facility. There is plenty of on-street parking. If you are an intern student at Fitzpatricks, and staying for longer than a week, please contact me for a discount before you book. Also talk to them about lift-sharing with staff/other interns, as it's a long walk (and not great in the winter) and they're not on a bus route. Similarly if you are a 'pet-parent' needing to stay over, let me know (sorry we can't accommodate any pets).
We're in a quiet cul-de-sac in a rural location - the footpath to the common is opposite. Great for walking. Transport links are good - we're on the Waterloo/Portsmouth Harbour line, so plenty of trains. Very close to the A3. However, bus services are pretty bad here.
  • Very nice place and even nicer people with great hospitality. Thanks again for having me.

  • I had a very great time at Jonh place. He was kind and super helpfull, as he also came to the train station to pick me up and showed me the best way to reach the house. The house was really confortable, clean and Jonh and Vanessa were always there to make me feel at ease. Highly recommended

  • My regular place to stay in Farnham, Surrey. Happily recommend starting here to my fellow Airbnb traveller's.

    David2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • John and Vanessa are excellent hosts and their place is everything that Airbnb sets out to achieve - outstanding hospitality, great facilities, spotless clean and local knowledge/ advice. Next time I go to Farnham this is where I will book to stay! Excellent and very highly recommended.

  • Expect to be temporarily adopted by John & Vanessa 😀 they've been extremely welcoming and generous across the board.

    Veronika2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • They were a lovely couple and made us feel right at home and welcome. Went the extra mile to help us with our evening out. Highly recommend them for anyone who’s considering to stay! One of our top AirB&B’s so far!

    Gem2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was perfect. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be sure to book here. John and Vanessa were so lovely and welcoming. Vanessa went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Above and beyond. A lovely house with comfortable and impeccably clean rooms. John and Vanessa are such lovely people and where sometimes when you AirBnB and stay in a room in someones house it can feel a bit odd and uncomfortable that was definitely not the case here. Felt very much like a home from home for the two nights I was there. Can’t give high enough praise. Hospitality at its best. If you need a room in the area this is the place to stay.

Welcome to our romantic cute cabin. Perfect for a quiet getaway in a beautiful semi-rural location close to A3 and award winning Grayshott village with restaurants, cafes, pub and pottery nearby. Walk straight from the doorstep into the Surrey Hills and down to the South Downs National Park. Available room only mid-week or with breakfast at weekends (extra charge of £10 pp). For larger groups the Little Barn can be booked in conjunction with our Boutique larger oak barn (also listed).
This cosy and compact oak barn was inspired by our stay in a rough sewn timber ski lodge. We aim to give our guests a warm welcome and 'away from it all' experience in our stunning semi-rural location. The style is boutique with a seriously comfortable king-sized bed and en-suite facilities including shower; full tea and coffee making facilities and Satellite flat screen TV. Tucked away with its own front door the little barn is on the edge of our garden and driveway.
There are many places to go and see in the area and we are nestled in the Surrey Hills and on the edge of the South Downs National Park. We can arrange horse riding from our lane, cycles can be hired locally. You can walk directly from your front door onto Waggoners Wells National Trust or to The Devils Punch Bowl National Trust and cafe. Cowdray polo at Midhurst and Goodwood are both equally accessible. Haslemere train station is a few miles (10 mins by taxi) and is a main line with London Waterloo 50 mins and Portsmouth 20 mins in the opposite direction.
  • This is a lovely space, great for exploring the beautiful countryside in the area. Would certainly stay again.

  • A genuine beautiful stay. This was truly a rare find and an ideal getaway for time out and to reflect or just have some quiet time with you and a loved one. I stayed alone and could not fault this cabin one bit. It was clean, warm, stylish and ready-made environment to just relax and unwind. The room looks exactly as displayed in the phots. There are so many intricate details of the interior you would be amazed can fit in such a small space. Even the shower was luxurious. I will definitetly be back out here again. Amazing and helpful host, I could go on but really this is a charm and a rare find in my books. I loved it and wish them more success in sharing this beautiful space!

  • A lovely little cabin in a semirural location 15 miles from Guildford. Basic, but sufficient facilities, with good wifi, TV and a fairly powerful shower. It's cosy, but not cramped. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

We just stayed for 1 night but found the check in process and all comms from Mark very easy and fast. Excellent location for walking or just exploring the Surrey Hills/South Downs. Highly recommend the breakfast if you have the chance. We would have loved to stay for a few more nights. Highly recommended.

The village of Chawton, the home of Jane Austen, is also close by.
  • An amazing find! A truly beautiful cabin in a cute herb garden which smells fantastic. Tom was really helpful and friendly and the little touches made the stay even more lovely. A very cosy weekend and I can't wait to visit again!

    Jo2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I truly cannot recommend this beautiful cottage enough! It was sparkling clean, the check-in was flawless, and Tom was so kind and thoughtful! All of the small details were so well thought through. I’m so glad I decided to stay here.

    Kirna2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I entered through the arched wooded gate into the beautifully landscaped, east-facing garden and sensed the peace and serenity suggested by the Air BnB pictures. A wood shed and greenhouse flank either side of the rear and four privet hedged flower beds, each one adorned with an array of flowers and shrubs, sit comfortably in front of the cabin. As my feet crunched on the pebble pathway leading to the door I knew I was in for a treat. Stepping inside for the first time was a delight. Lucy and Tom have managed to achieve the impossible; a real home from home. The décor is soporific with a perfect balance of function and style, with a lavish light oak wooden floor . The kitchen is equipped with everything I needed and beautifully presented on the worksurface and single wooden shelf edged with the original bark. There’s even a tray by the door for your shoes; attention to detail is everywhere. I found 6 eggs and 6 crumpets, along with tea and ground coffee. In the fridge were milk, fresh orange and butter The lounge area has a contemporary yet cottage feel to it. A rustic table and chairs sit under the window overlooking the garden, reminding me of the pictures I’d seen of Hemmingway’s writing desk. A single reading chair stands invitingly against the rear of the cabin, covered with a sheepskin rug, and an up-cyclyed map of Asia on the wall above. The bathroom is well equipped with a corner shower, sink and toilet, all immaculately clean, with fresh towels on the chromed wall heater. A small but ample shelf over the sink is perfect for your washbag and it’s contents. On the mezzanine floor lies a comfortable matress covered in brightly coloured bedding, the duvet is feels luxurious, it’s weight engulfed me as I slept. The lighting is subtle, with switches perfectly positioned at the top of the ladder and by the bed. Behind the bed is a window that floods with natural light from the early morning sun. I have to say that this is one of, if not, the best place I’ve ever stayed in.

  • Very sweet cabin, with everything you need for a weekend away, Tom and Lucy and fantastic hosts! Lots of lovely touches like the fresh juice, milk and eggs. Would recommend bringing some food with you as there are not many shops near. But I would definitely recommend a stay in the cabin :)

    Brendan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is the sweetest little cabin! Full of thoughtful touches like juice, milk, crumpets and the bespoke map of the area. It’s only a 5 minute drive from Farnham, a lovely local town with lots of restaurants and shops! We really enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for just the two of us! Thankyou!

  • Just perfect! Lucy and Tom are fantastic hosts, the local tips were spot on and the surrounding area is beautiful. We absolutely loved the cabin, it was warm and cozy (we was there 1st weekend in Jan) and the little extra touches like the lovely shower wash and bits for breakfast made the stay extra special. Thank you both

  • We wanted a cosy weekend away, outside of London but an easy short train ride. We got all the charm, peace, quiet and comfort with this snug fully equipped renovated farm house. It was also a short journey to other quant towns to visit and we pub hopped around for the weekend. Mark and his wife were lovely and even offered us a ride into town. We had such a wonderful restful weekend away.

  • Mark’s barn was absolutely perfect for a weekend to escape the busyness of London. Mark gave us a tour of the barn and gave us lots of information of where to go in the local area. The barn itself was very well equipped and Mark had thought of everything! Lots of little touches such as breakfast in the fridge and many different books to look through. We found that we didn’t need a car as there are shops and pubs in walking distance and beautiful green spaces to go for long walks. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area in the future. Thank you Mark!

  • Thank you so much to Martin and family who made this the best Air B and B experience we’ve had. Such a friendly, personable experience and the apartment was beautiful! 10/10 would really recommend to anyone

  • What an exceptional host both in the lead up and once we arrived. The place was spotless, modern, comfortable and well located. There were very kind personal touches in the apartment, such as fresh bread, ham, milk, juice etc. which was such a pleasant surprise. There are some wonderful long country walks you can do locally, i can't recommend this place enough. 10 out of 10.

  • Martin's studio is the perfect Airbnb. This cosy self contained studio has everything you need; it's warm, inviting and extremely comfortable. The thoughtful touches such as additional breakfast items and the friendly welcome lift this place to another level. Communication is excellent, friendly and prompt and lots of additional information provided by the host but also leaflets and brochures in the studio. Martin is an excellent host; his affable nature and genuine interest in his guests bubbles through and he strikes exactly the right balance between being available if anything is needed but ensuring privacy is guaranteed. The secure nature of the property makes for a relaxing stay and prioximity to the town is another tick. The bed is super comfortable and the studio really flows well so that even though it's open plan you feel the living and sleeping areas don' conflict with each other. I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to book again if I am ever back in the area. Thank you very much Martin.

Fantastic self contained little barn conversion a few minutes from Haslemere and the surrounding villages. Perfectly cosy place to begin or end a walking holiday in the beautiful countryside on our doorstep, or as a short overnight stop whilst visiting friends or relatives.
The Little Barn is a recently converted space which provides everything you need for a short stay. With its own private entrance, it has a comfortably furnished living space with a vaulted ceiling and loads of natural light. Also a sofa bed and wide screen TV with Sky Q and Chromecast, a DVD player, a beautifully finished shower room with large rain shower. The kitchen area has a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, small induction hob and a Nespresso machine (and a few capsules to keep you going!) as well as all crockery and cutlery needed for simple meals. Breakfast isn’t included as we’d have to interrupt you to bring it over. A small (but steep) flight of stairs takes you to the galleried bedroom with a double bed and premium bed linen. There is parking directly outside the property and we ask that you park directly in front of the garage to allow other vehicles on and off the driveway.
Just step out of the door and you can explore the area through a maze of public footpaths. Also great for keen mountain bikers! Horse riding, clay shooting and course fishing are available in the area. A walk across Bramshott Common takes you to a wonderful pub with great food! But if its wet you will need wellies!!! Walk, cycle or drive to National Trusts Blackdown, Swan Barn Farm, Hindhead Common, or the Devils Punch Bowl. Spend the day visiting the market towns Haslemere and Midhurst. Stroll through the historic Cowdray Ruins and maybe take in a polo match. Head to Cowdray farm shop and café to stock up on or sample locally sourced produce. Or sample wine, beers & spirits at Lurgashall Winery & Blackdown Distillery. If you'd like to relax for the afternoon book into the Amarna Spa, which is a 10 minute drive away, or Champneys which is 10 minutes in the other direction. There is much to enjoy in the surrounding area too, including Petworth, an important centre for antiques and a bustle of boutique shops and cafés. Within the Petworth area is the famous National Trust Petworth House. Other nearby sights are Uppark, Arundel Castle, Nelson's ‘Victory' in Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, the delightful Elizabethan mansion and gardens at Parham House & Gardens and Weald & Downland Open Air Museum. Go horse or motor racing at Goodwood, we are a great place to start from if you are attending Festival of Speed or Revival!! In fact we will probably see you there! The City of Chichester is the next stop along the route. Spend a day on the West Witterings beach, Fossil Hunting at Bracklesham Bay or visit one of many charming seaside villages. See a show at the Festival Theatre or go to see a movie at the independent New Park Cinema. The area offers sights and activities for all ages and you will not be disappointed with your visit.

Our one bedroom, self catering apartment is in Alice Holt Forest, south of Farnham on the Surrey Hampshire Border. It is ideal for a weekend get away to the woods. Bring your bikes, kids and hiking shoes. It is also a great place to stay if you are going to one of the many rural wedding venues nearby. Little Willow is an annex that is attached to our family home. It has a full kitchen, bedroom with a small double bed, living room with a pull out double sofa bed and a bathroom with shower.
Stroll, ride bikes, adventure or explore - You will be staying in the middle of Alice Holt Forest, part of the South Downs National Park and one of England's loveliest National Forests. Access to its many walking and cycling paths is at your doorstep. The official visitors' centre is located across the road, a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. There is a courtyard garden which has a table and chairs which can be a great little sun trap. You are welcome to bring your own BBQ. A friendly country pub, The Jolly Farmer, is a ten minute walk away. They serve good food, traditional ales, and provide a warm and friendly welcome. They have a large children's play area.
We love our location, in a quiet cul de sac, in the middle of the forest, yet close to the Georgian Market Town of Farnham and the city of Guildford. Easy reach to the South Coast - Portsmouth and the sea side etc. Also for attractions such as Weyfest, the Farnborough Air Show etc.
  • The place is lovely. Clean, modern, great location near the woods. Check-in and out were efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Considerable Georgian detached home built in 1778, situated in our small holding of 25 acres within Frensham Common; Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. The house has many original features such as leaded mullion windows, exposed beams, exposed brickwork, original well and inglenock fireplace. The house has been renovated using 21st century materials creating a beautiful comfortable aesthetic which is complimentary to the original features.
We live a rural idyl on a small holding, toasty with our intelligent windows conserving energy, underfloor heating, carbon neutral heating and hot water facilitated by our biomass boiler and solar. We live a green lifestyle with a successful greenhouse, veg garden, apiary and livery yard on site. The house is situated in a beautiful area of rolling heath land, with pines, deciduous wood land and ponds. The local geography is unique, near by tumuli from bronze age burial grounds from chieftains and stone out crops. There is much to investigate by foot. For example, Frensham Common is a large Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI); The Devil's Jumps are a series of three small hills. Swimming in nearby ponds. Marvellous renoun sculpture park within walking distance as is local pubs and a selection of fine restaurants.

  • What a beautiful house! It's spacious, comfortable and well equipped with wonderful features. Perfect for having a group of friends or family to stay. The surrounding countryside is stunning. Catherine was a fantastic host, who replied promptly to messages and went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely time. Can't recommend it highly enough.

    Georgie2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • I found Catherine's home when looking for venues to hold my wife's 40th birthday. The house, the land, the views... just everything about the booking was spot on. We had rooms for 12 people but were able to host a few more during the day in the garden... and play croquet too! The house is perfect for parties and very much worth considering. You won't regret it!

    Joey2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This house was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Idyllic location with a great host! The house has everything you could want; large spaces, sparkling clean, seating for all inside and out, full crockery and even a croquet set. The hosts were extremely accommodating and had taken time to add some additional touches like a welcome card and some homemade honey. Highly recommend this place!

  • Such a beautiful house in a wonderful location. The pictures don’t do this house justice! Really thoughtful touches left for the bride to be and the host gave us a full tour of the house explaining the history and quirks of the property. Couldn’t recommend the house enough!

  • Catherine was/is an amazing host, so thoughtful and friendly, which made our stay much more enjoyable than we anticipated. It is also convenient for the Farnborough Air Show (8 miles), Goodwood (27 miles), Jane Austen's house at Chawton (11 miles), and within an hour of Thorpe Park, Windsor, Winchester, and Portsmouth. Farnham itself is on the North Downs Way and a wonderful place for walking and cycling with hills, valleys, lakes and pretty villages all within the immediate countryside and plenty of good pubs to stop at. The town centre is largely Georgian, with a castle (open to the public) and lots of shops, restaurants and coffee bars.
  • Great place. Lots of space and everything required.

  • A stylish and immaculately clean little house set in a lovely garden. Very spacious and comfortable with thoughtful touches from Catherine, like milk and croissants for breakfast. Farnham railway station and town centre are easily walkable. Highly recommend.

  • Fantastic space

    Andy2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • We visited to get away from London for a couple of days with our toddler. Catherine is a friendly, helpful host and she prepared the space for us beautifully with essentials in the fridge and delicious croissants for breakfast! It's a very stylish and clean cottage with a massive comfy bed and lots of space, our toddler was quite happy running around there. Unfortunately it rained while we were there but there was a lovely garden we could have enjoyed more in the sun. Farnham is a lovely little town (there was a good soft play that kept the boy entertained during a particularly bad rain storm!) and we did some nice walks round the castle and at the Devil's Punch Bowl a few miles away.

    Tanya2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect little cabin! I stayed for a quiet weekend of reading in the day and costing up with a film and hot chocolate in the evening! I loved the big windows downstairs, as they were letting the autumnal colours of the garden in. Catherine has thought of everything - there’s even a hair dryer! Great location a straight walk from the station and the cabin itself is tucked away from the main road and really quiet :) I’d love to come back for another quiet weekend in the future!

  • Lovely little place to stay, very quiet and peaceful. I was worried when I booked that noise from the A3 might be an issue but you can't hear it at all. Convenient position for going south to the coast or north to Guildford, and with shops and a garage locally. Very clean. While cosy it's very well thought out and equipped to make best use of the space. Very clean and homely, definitely recommended!

It has been tastefully decorated and has all the necessary accessories and utensils you will need for your stay. The hut has it's own private area, private hot tub, and includes parking and outdoor seating, and there is a BBQ should you wish to dine outside or star gaze For a small additional cost of £15 we welcome well behaved dogs, but they must remain on a lead at all times around the farm, this is not only due to our livestock, but because of large machinery operating in and around the farm, and we'd like your four legged friends to stay safe. We usually just allow one but in certain circumstances this maybe flexible, please contact us to ask. No pets are to be left alone in the hut. Little Cowdray Glamping is located in the beautiful leafy village of Thursley, surrounded by miles of stunning scenery, walks, and local wildlife, it’s absolutely perfect for exploring the outdoors. Our farm backs on to the Devils Punchbowl, known for its scenic walks, wild ponies and the odd Highland cow, great if your partial to a bit of mountain biking too, though if you prefer your wheels mud free then why not explore the sweeping surrey hills doing some road cycling instead. Little Cowdray Farm is a working farm run by the family, we have cattle, mainly Herefords and Angus but we also have a small herd of Dexter’s (pint sized cattle), then there’s our resident pet pigs, Lilly-a Potbelly, Maisy, Molly and Mouse who are Kune Kune’s and love a good back scratch or belly rub. We have a small flock of sheep, free range hens and our handsome cockerell Rory!  Why not try some of our freshly laid free range eggs for breakfast?...
  • Beautiful shepherds hut and hot tub, in a very peaceful location. Lovely to sit in the hot tub and watch the pigs, chickens and goats.

    Katie2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place! Absolutely lovely to wake up & see the pig, chickens & goats outside your front door with a beautiful back drop! We went on loads of lovely walks around the devils punch bowl & our tour around the farm with Lucy absolutely made our visit! Super cosy sitting in the hot tub of an evening with a log fire afterwards. The perfect stay thank you so much!

  • Meeting Teresa, Emily and the family as well as the animals made this trip super special. Especially meeting the new born calf and giving him a cuddle. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and enjoyed hiding inside the hut, cosy and warm, while it was stormy outside. We will definitely be back.

    Sarah2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Sheppard hut is very clean with nice views from the door and the surrounding country side is a short walk away the hottub is the perfect place to watch the farm and day go by with views of the valley below.

  • Our second stay with Teresa, had a great time again. The hut and hot tub are great and located a short walk from a nearby pub for dinner.

  • My partner and I have just returned from a beautiful weekend. We could not have asked for a better weekend. The Shepherds Hut was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail was fabulous. We walked for miles through the Surrey country side and ate some wonderful food. We really miss the log burner. Thank you!

    Zoey2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful stay at the Shepards Hut. Teresa couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The hut itself was clean and had everything you could need. The log burner is a great touch! Waking up to the farm animals on your doorstep is a lovely start to the day, as is a dip in the hot tub! Cant wait to come back!

    Hannah2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is without a doubt one of the best Airbnb's me and my partner have ever stayed in. The Shepherd's hut is the perfect getaway for two. The place is gorgeous, clean and tidy. The wood fire and hot tub are wonderful. Teresa and her family are the perfect hosts and we visit again in a heartbeat!

Bijou, comfortable single room garden cabin ( 1 superking bed or twins ) with kitchenette and adjoining ensuite shower and WC, set in the middle of an SSSI within the South Downs National Park and accessed by an unmade bumpy track. Please note this is not a village location though pubs are about a 5 minute drive ( walkable with good footwear and a map ! ) A car or bicycles are favourable although we have accommodated hikers overnight.
Re-built 15 years ago, warm and light, own entrance. Looks out onto the garden, step through the gate straight onto Shortheath Common, a gem within the south downs national park. Shower and WC ensuite. Kitchenette. Breakfast table. TV.One super king bed or two single beds. The bothy is small but well set out.
Shortheath common is an SSSI and has European SAC designation with rare habitat, plants and insects. It can be accessed directly from the Bothy and keen walkers can get onto the hangers way quite near to the Alton end.
  • We had a really lovely stay at the bothy, its a great set up with everything you need and lots of thoughtful touches. Simon was very welcoming and there was some delicious carrot cake waiting for us when we arrived. Lots of great walks close by and didn't take us long to drive over from London. Would definitely recommend for a country escape. Thanks for everything Simon! Don and Tabby

  • I stayed at the Bothy for just over a month for a work trip. If is beautiful, spotless clean, cosy warm, well laid out and if you are an avid walker or just looking for a lovely little place to stay then you won’t find any better. Simon and Jos are both very helpful with everything and they are lovely approachable , friendly people.

  • This is a lovely place to stay - truly away from it all - in a peaceful and tranquil environment. (I slept better than I do at home!). The cabin has everything you need - lovely beds/duvets, cooking facilities and a compact bathroom... Open the curtains in the morning, lie in your bed, and look out on a world of wildlife/nature... It’s a true adventure staying here - my daughter and I loved it.

    Anne2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very good stay and we definitely recommend it! It is a very calm, clean, charming small house. Everything we need was there. Very nice area to walk. Simon was very kind and he suggested to pick us up by car from the closest train station.

    Charlotte2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Blossom Bothy for 12 days in October 2019. A good place to stay which is off the beaten track but still within reach of amenities and local conurbations. Very big comfortable bed. Bathroom bijou but clean with instant hot water. Kitchen facilities fine for a short stay, equivalent of what you would get in a camper van. We were welcomed with home made bread and jam and carrot cake, lovely. Lots of other goodies and staples provided. Very warm and cozy. TV and internet good. Takes some finding on a dark night but the instructions were good.

Welcome to our peaceful annex, set in a lovely garden behind our family home. The property is located in a quiet, private lane, with woodland opposite. It's perfect for exploring the local area, with countless stunning walking routes in all directions.
The annex has patio doors opening into a studio style room with a wardrobe, double bed, TV, table and chairs, and a small kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, microwave, electric hob, toaster, kettle, and kitchen essentials. There is also a separate shower room with toilet, sink and shower. Outside, guests can use a patio area with table and chairs. Access is through the garden, down some steps off the driveway, onto the lawn then around the side of the house to the back of the garden (automatic floodlights show the way at night). Parking is always available on the lane opposite the house. Haslemere is a lovely market town, nestled on the edge of the Surrey Hills and the South Downs, both Areas of Outstanding National Beauty. For example, the National Trust's Devil's Punchbowl, with stunning views, is around a 45 minute cross-country hike from the property crossing just one country lane. There are some great local pubs including The Mill (less than 10 mins walk) and the Station House (20 mins walk). The local shops in Shottermill include an M&S Foodhall, Tesco, cafe's, ice cream parlour, and local independent shops, all within 10 mins walk. Haslemere High Street (1.5 miles away) offers further options including a Waitrose, cafe's and shops. Lion Green, which hosts events including Haslemere's Fringe Festival, Food Festival, and Open Air Cinema, is located less than 10 mins walk away.
