A truly unforgettable stay! This private, spacious boathouse was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the unique character and thoughtful design—especially the stunning bolted ceiling that give the space more charm with a touch of grandeur. The bed was comfortable, making every night restful and serene. The bathroom was great with a big walk-in shower, and heated floors were a luxurious bonus we didn’t know we needed! Everything was spot on, blending comfort with a sense of adventure. If you’re looking for a stay that’s both cozy and strikingly unique, this is it!

This was a lovely place to stay, as detailed in the description. We stayed for a week and the kids loved having a pool. The owners dog does roam in the garden, which our kids were a bit afraid of but the owners did try to call her back in. The other thing to note is that the property is very close to a train line so you hear the trains. We really enjoyed our stay with David and Corinne, they were on hand when we needed to ask things but even when they use their garden you don’t feel like they are intruding. We would definitely stay again.

Fijne rustige vakantie gehad met onze drie kinderen (9, 7 en 5). Zwembad is enorme meerwaarde en goed onderhouden. Volledig uitgeruste woning, keukenmateriaal ook ruim (al hebben enkele pannen geen rechte bodem hetgeen onhandig is bij inductie). Decoratie van de woning bijzonder, maar ietwat "overshooting" in een vakantieverblijf. Wat last van mieren in huis. Eigenares woont in een afgesloten deel van de woning en ook al blijft ze zeker op de achtergrond, er is wel enige controle voelbaar. Huis warmt relatief makkelijk op (kan wat beperkt worden met sluiten van houten klapdeurtjes), maar kan terug gekoeld worden bij koudere nachten. Er is airco aanwezig, maar wordt niet aangeboden (besparingen). Warm water niet eindeloos, opgepast als je een warm bad neemt en daarna nog iemand wil douchen. Niet ontzettend veel activiteiten (met kinderen) in de omgeving, behalve kajak verhuur en accro park. Maar uiteindelijk is het zwembad toch de beste activiteit.

De accommodatie is zeer sfeervol en compleet ingericht met goede meubels, veel boeken, kunst aan de muur etc. Buiten is een fraai terras met barbecue. Iets verderop is de heerlijke natuurlijke pool met zitje. Het landgoed van Adrian (en Vicky) bestaat verder o.a. uit zijn eigen woning, nog wat mooie oude stallen en andere woningen, een wei met ezels, een atelier van een kunstenaar en een moestuin. Het geheel is heel charmant, vredig en in een groene natuurlijke setting. Adrian zelf (Vicky was in Engeland) is heel aardig en de ontvangst was heel hartelijk met een kist groenten, fruit, zelfgemaakte jam, etc. Wij hebben als familie (6volwassenen en een baby) een heerlijke week gehad bij Adrian en we kunnen deze accommodatie zeer aanbevelen.

Notre week-end chez Stéphane, nous laissera un souvenir mémorable. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine, nous avons pu faire des jeux à l'extérieur et faire une belle tablée pour les repas. Merci beaucoup.

Hôte très accueillante, réactive et arrangeante. Le logement était fidèle à la description et décoré avec soin. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour bien que trop court!

Je recommande à 100% le logement d'Alban et Sandrine qui sont des hôtes très gentils, très accueillants et disponibles ainsi que leur voisine Virginie qui nous a accueillie dans un premier temps. Le logement est fidèle à la description et aux photos, voir encore plus beau! Propreté impeccable, décoré avec goût, on s'y sent tout de suite très bien! L'environnement est idéal et le village très charmant. Un seul regret: être resté qu'une seule nuit ! ;) Merci beaucoup Alban et Sandrine, je retiens votre adresse avec joie !

Julie was very friendly. The apartment is very spacious with a very big garden. It was very quiet and I slept like a baby because the bed was great. I am definitely recommending the place to anyone who loves being close to nature. It is also very walkable from the apartment to downtown Angoulême (around 15 mins).

A gem of a place ! It is not easy to find places in the region that are not exorbitantly expensive or furnished from grandma's leftovers; this hits a perfect note with a mixture of stylish antiques and comfort, everything has been thought of down to the Savon de Marseille in the bathrooms! Clearly lots of love has been poured into the house and it shows, from a well stocked larder with everyday essentials (including coffee pods for the machine) to the lovely welcome hamper. The garden at the back overlooking the old monastery is perfect and very secluded and even though it was only April I managed to eat outside each morning and evening (there are 3 other terraces too). The host is on hand easily for tips on where to eat or visit if needed. Tusson is a great village with a good places to eat including the wonderful Gateaux for amazing cakes.

Nous avons passé un bon week-end. Le logement impeccable, et conforme à la description. Très bon accueil. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Une adresse que nous retiendrons pour des prochaines fois.

Wir hatten für 9 Nächte Hermines Haus gebucht, wurden sehr, sehr freundlichen von der Co-Gastgeberin Mélanie empfangen, die uns während unseres kompletten Aufenthalts sehr nett persönlich bzw. telefonisch betreut hat bei allen Fragen. Das Haus ist sehr schön, gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Küche hat alles, was man braucht. Für uns war die Lage ideal, denn wir mögen Ruhe und Zurückgezogenheit. Die umliegenden Ortschaften sind sehr klein und beschaulich, man kann aber in der Nähe einkaufen. Wir haben einige Radtouren unternommen, die Wege sind gut ausgebaut. Angoulème hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Alles in allem ein schöner Aufenthalt und eine perfekte Betreuung! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Achtung: Die Treppe ins Obergeschoss ist wunderschön aber nicht geeignet für Menschen, die nicht gut zu Fuß sind. Man darf sie nicht mit Schuhen betreten, sie hat keinen Handlauf und ist sehr unregelmäßig und glatt. Für uns war das aber kein Problem.

Jane was the best, most helpful and most reliable host I have ever encountered. She helped me retrieve left behind luggage by spending hours on the phone with DHL and the car rental office where my luggage was left. Jane’s property is in a stunning location, surrounded by wheat and sunflower fields and as I am an artist it was perfect. The house was beautiful and spotlessly clean, decorated with excellent taste and thought to every detail. It is located about 25 minutes from Angoulême, a small city with excellent restaurants and shops. It is also in easy access to many small and pretty villages like Auberterre Sur Dronne. I highly recommend staying at Jane’s in Champagne-Vigny. I highly recommend this property

Nous n’avons passé qu’une nuit dans le logement car nous n’étions que de passage, mais tout était parfait ! Nous avons été très bien accueillis, avec des petites attentions, le logement est on ne peut plus propre, très beau. Le coin est très calme. Je recommande !

Je recommande sans hésitée, Astrid es humaine et ça ne court pas les rues. Une femme présente au moindre problème. Très agréable, le coin étais si calme que j'ai jamais autant bien dormi. La maison si propre que je n'avais pas envie de la salir. je me suis sentie comme chez moi, je n'avais plus envie dans partie. il y avais tout ce dont on a besoin dans une maison, même plus qu'on es besoin. Merci encore milles fois. a très vite.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour . Le gite est très bien situé ( proche du château de la pouyade ) dans un petit hameau pittoresques et surtout très calme. Vincent est un hôte très charmant, l accueil etait au top Je recommande cette location 👍

Le logement est d'une grande propreté, très fonctionnel et confortable muni d'un vrai coin salon où nous avons pu nous retrouver à 8 et, ce qui a été très agréable et surtout très pratique, 4 chambres meublées à l'identique et équipées d'une salle d'eau et de toilettes chacune. Un vrai plus ! Un seul bémol : le coin cuisine, même si fonctionnel et très bien équipé, est un peu trop petit. De plus, les propriétaires sont charmants et accueillants ! Bref, une adresse à conserver...

Corrine and Stéphane are exceptional hosts! They go above and beyond to ensure that all guests feel welcome and taken care of throughout their stay. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality make the trip perfect in every way. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be recommending their place to everyone we know. We can for another visit!

We really liked Thomas’ place. The pool is much better than the photos look and the pool was very clean. A great little seating area under a canopy and plenty of sun loungers. Rarely used by anyone else! Good location for road cycling (road cyclists from UK will find the roads undulating and open). Really nice peaceful setting. Really quiet. WiFi good enough to do video calls to work from the house.
