Amazing secluded house next to a river where you can swim. The most relaxing environment. Kathleen and James's daughter, Julianna was extremely helpful and nice. The perfect balance between wilderness and confy luxurious house.

Great hosts, great property, great location and great stay. Could hardly be better, ideal location for calming one's mind, swimming in the river and also exploring Sequoia's NP and Kings Canyon (go via Badger).

James and Kathleen are the most gracious of hosts - they are the kind of people you hope to have as friends and neighbors. The house was clean, the kitchen better equipped than most - a great get away feeling with all the comforts of home - it was a pleasure staying there. They've created something special. The other WOW factor was the river. James was so great about teaching everyone how to get the most out of out trips to the river and teaching he kids about safety. Each evening when we got back from Sequoia Nat'l Park, we'd spend time at the river - the perfect way to end the day. On our final day we decided we needed one more day at the river so changed plans so the kids could get in one more swim. Dalilia was also a special bonus. My kids are already asking us when we are going back to see her. Lots of great memories.

The cottage is the perfect quiet place to stay with easy access to the park and a short ride into Three Rivers. Access to the river is right there on the property and they have some of the best swimming holes I have ever seen. It's a truly magical place nestled in the foothills of the Sierras. This idyllic setting could not be more perfect for what we were looking for. We will definitely be back!

One of the best vacations we've ever had, largely due to our stay at the lovely Kaweah Cottage. Kathleen and James were so wonderful! James and his daughter gave us a wonderful tour of the property upon arrival. Great people!! Was so nice to be close to the gorgeous river and a convenient distance to the park entrance as (URL HIDDEN) was an amazing way to celebrate my husband's 45th birthday :)

Kathleen and James are amazing hosts and have done an incredible job of preserving and caring for a little slice of heaven in the Sequoia National Park area. The cottage is beyond beautiful inside and out, and the amenities are top notch. We loved our visit here so much that we booked a second stay for the following weekend. Staying here was also a great way to introduce our 20-month old daughter to the wilderness of the area in a comfortable way. It also comes with the added bonus of coming home each night to see Delilah the boxer, chickens, and horses, which our daughter loved! What a dream. The river was very full and not accessible for swimming during this time of year, but the property has access to a little creek that was the perfect place to hang with our toddler while the river is too high. James and Kathleen are very welcoming, hospitable, and pleasant people, and we really appreciated the tour upon our arrival so we could feel comfortable exploring the land on our own later. We are already recommending the cottage to family and friends, and look forward to returning here ourselves.
