Neighbourhood highlights

After the 1947 partition of India with Pakistan, Hindus who migrated from Pakistan were given land in Lajpat Nagar 4. Today, it is one of the most central locations of Delhi. Every house in this community is park facing. Walk 1 min from the apartment crossing the entrance gate and you enter the local market which is where you will find all your grocery shops,chemists,local eateries,dry cleaners,florists,baskin robbins etc. If you want to eat like a local walk about 10 mins over to Amar colony (you can always take the cycle rickshaw for 20 Rs/ 30 cents) and you will be overwhelmed by some of the best local eateries of Delhi here . As you can see eating out is never a problem in our neighborhood. However if you prefer to go to an upscale restaurant hop on a cycle rickshaw for 40Rs and reach the happening GK- N block market or Defence colony market. This is how central our apartment is and yet so quite.
The neighborhood is extremely safe for women travelers. There are several expats who live in this area.
