Nestled into the granite of a sunny point surrounded by sea, the location of this boutique B&B is rated extreme oceanfront. You’d have to be sailing to be any closer. Fashioned with the timeless look of a classic yacht, each stateroom evokes a luxury small cruise ship experience. Crisp white & custom walnut cabinetry reinforce the nautical feel for a clean, modern look. Floor-ceiling windows, spa-style ensuites, soaker tubs, gas fireplaces, king beds, private decks complete the appointments.

The space
*Private balconies include outdoor furniture and sinuous chaise longues to help you relax and enjoy the expansive ocean views.
*Aside from in room soaker tubs there is an oceanfront hot tub nestled in the rocks overlooking a private cove.
*Gourmet breakfasts with fresh seasonal ingredients are served in the main lounge or outside enveloped by the awe-inspiring oceanscape.
*Designed for maximum privacy and relaxation, each Pointhouse suite has luxurious bathrobes, slippers, coffee and tea makings, a 42” TV, complimentary high speed wireless internet, Apple TV, and a mini refrigerator.
*Between meals there is a shared snack galley in the welcome foyer with sink, microwave, another small fridge, dishes, cutlery and glassware.
* Guest lounges include the welcome foyer, main lounge, and prow.
*Outside the estate features various nooks and crannies at the waterfront offering private lounging areas and views. Besides the views from your room these are great spots for bird watching or storm viewing.
*Tucked in a quiet corner of the property accessed by stepping stones through the garden and pond is the Zen Teahouse Studio. This a relaxing haven for massage or yoga or just peaceful lounging lulled by the sound of the bamboo fountain. Book treatments or private classes with our private practitioners.
*Covered BBQ area.
*Outdoor shower to rinse off after an ocean swim
*Bring your own watercraft to launch from the private beach. or use our guest kayak to explore Sargeant Bay. Our rugged shoreline is also excellent for photography, beachcombing, clam digging, or picnics. Tours can sometimes be arranged with local experts for bird watching, forest treks, or marine/flight sightseeing .

*If you happen to arrive by air or water, we have a year round mooring buoy capable of handling boats up to 61 ft in length. A 30 ft seasonal dock (May to Sept) is also available for dingies or float plane drop off/pickup.
*For an extra special dining experience, we can arrange a personal chef to cook a private three course meal just for you. Make your selections ahead of time then just relax and savour. Please allow at least 7 days notice to confirm the chef’s availability.

Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, Canada

Walk out the door to enjoy nature walks, hiking, mountain biking or paddlesports in and around Sargeant Bay. Further afield there's lots more to explore with Skookumchuck Rapids, Smuggler Cove, historic Halfmoon Bay general store and the string of oceanside communities that make up the Sunshine Coast, each with their own personalities, restaurants and coffee shops. Plenty of breweries and galleries to check out as well for some local culture. You can do it all or do nothing . Naps are optional.

The Pointhouse B&B is also adjacent to Cove Beach, a new gated community of 10 oceanfront/oceanview homes, a few of which are currently under construction. This has rarely been an issue for the majority of guests visiting our property over the course of the development but be aware there is currently the potential for intermittent noise weekdays between the hours of 8am- 4pm.

We bought the Pointhouse property in Dec 2005 as our future retirement home while we were still residing and working in Dawson Creek, BC. It was a successful vacation rental till Feb 2010 when we began a complete reconstruction of the main house and built a new guesthouse (Aerie) on the bluff above.
We made the move to the Sunshine Coast full time in January 2011 living first in the Aerie guesthouse and finally in Jun 2012, the expanded and renovated Pointhouse now a boutique B&B.
With the purchase of the Annex in 2016 and completion of our shipping container studio ISO in 2020, our portfolio of luxury accommodations has grown.
With the interesting guests from all over the world and a busy schedule of physician locums for Bob, retirement is still a ways off for both of us . Fortunately, life on the coast is a more relaxed pace allowing us more playtime, family time and travel opportunities.
