This is a one-bedroom suite in a resort that overlooks the ocean and is a short walk to the beach.

The suite's two rooms include a large bedroom with a bathroom, and a living room with a kitchen and bathroom #2.

The resort's shared areas include a pool, kids' pool,a hot tub, gas grills, a gym, and a game room.

Want to be active? There's hiking, biking, walking, golf, tennis and water sports.

Want to relax and rejuvenate? Lie on a lounge chair and enjoy the lush grounds & stunning view.

The space
Heads up: some one-bedroom suites face the ocean, some face the beautiful mountains/golf course (and parking lot). We can't control which suite the front desk assigns you. Additionally, you will need to check in with a credit/debit card for incidentals.

The resort is designed for leisure and relaxation.

More About the Bedroom:
It is large room with a king sized bed, nightstands on each side with their own lamps, and a full bathroom with a whirlpool tub. There is also a large walk-in closet, a full-size television that sits on top of a large chest of drawers. The room also contains a comfortable reclining chair and a small wooden desk with a lamp. Draped French doors separate the bedroom from the living room, offering privacy between the two rooms. The bedroom also has blackout shades for better sleep.

More About the Living Room:
Most units have two pull-out sofa beds, but a few have a recliner instead of a second sofa bed. The living room has a second television that sits atop a second large chest of drawers. It also includes a table and chairs. The living room is an open style room – meaning it flows to the kitchen without a door.

The second bathroom is off the living room. It is also a full bathroom, but has a regular bathtub (not a whirlpool tub). Like the bedroom, the living room has blackout shades for guests who might be sleeping there.

More About The Kitchen:
The kitchen is well stocked with cooking ware (pots, pans, serving bowls), dishes, mugs, glasses, wine glasses, flatware, knives and a variety of utensils, as well as a toaster and a blender. There is a full sized refrigerator, oven, stove, dishwasher.

More About the Balcony:
The balcony can be accessed through the bedroom and from the living room – especially nice when one person wants to sleep in, while another moves to the balcony to sip coffee in peace. The balcony has two outdoor chairs and a small table.

More About The Common Areas:
The resort's common area includes a large, comfortable lobby, lush grounds with lawn chairs and full views of the ocean, a large pool, kiddie pool and hot tub. There are several gas grills, a fire pit, and a game room (ping pong, air hockey, video games). You can check out board games and some athletic equipment from the front desk. You can rent DVDs in the downstairs lobby. The upstairs lounge has books to borrow. There is also a small day spa on the premises.

The resort adjoins the 3-mile Bob Jones Trail (biking and walking path) along the creek and golf course. There are shops and restaurants along the Avila Beach boardwalk, and places nearby to rent bikes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, etc.

Other things to note:
Staying at this resort is similar to staying at a hotel. There's a front desk, a concierge, and a maintenance crew. You will need to check in with a credit/debit card. Like a hotel, you cannot book a specific room in advance.

There are also some differences. There is not a restaurant on site, nor room service. There is not daily housekeeping, although you can always request towels, kitchen items and other things you might need during your stay. If you stay for a week, you will have a full cleaning once during your stay.

COVID-19: As a result of the pandemic, resort staff are implementing extra cleaning protocols. Guests are encouraged to wear face masks in common spaces when near other guests and staff. Some common spaces (like the gym and game room) may be closed, depending on local ordinances, which change as conditions change.

Guest access
You will have access to your suite, and all common areas of the resort. You will check in with a credit/debit card at the front desk to get your room key and parking pass.

Location

Avila Beach, California, United States

Avila Beach is known for its beautiful beach, boardwalk and casual, laid-back vibe. The boardwalk and nearby streets compose Avila's "downtown," and it has shops, restaurants and wine bars. San Luis Obispo (aka SLO) is a short drive away.
